Chapter 7: Teaching Issues

Hogwarts Headmaster Albus Dumbledore was meeting his teaching staff as usually required. "Now, does anyone have any problem they'd like to address?" He asked and then noticed Sirius Black raised his hand. "Other than Severus' teaching methods, I mean."

"Aw, come on, Headmaster." Sirius moaned. "You know very well Snivellus ordered that essay as a way to get around his promise not to tell anyone about Professor Such being a werewolf."

"I have no regrets about trying to warn the students about the threat within our walls." Snape firmly replied.

"Moony is no threat." Sirius angrily stated. One could tell how serious (pun totally intentional) Sirius was because he didn't include the word 'such'.

"It's easy for you to say since you can turn into something Lupin won't hurt but what about the students?" Snape argued. "Do you expect to turn all students into Animagi?"

Professor McGonagall noticed Sirius smiling at the idea. "Don't you dare, Sirius Orion Black!" She sternly ordered. "Had I known about you, James and Pettigrew back then the three of you would be on detention for the rest of your school lives."

"Minerva, while I agree it was irresponsible on their part to become Animagi without Ministry supervision, it wasn't that serious." Dumbledore argued.

"Typical Dumbledore." Snape mumbled. "Always favoring Gryffindors."

"If you know of any non-Gryffindor who became Animagus while still a student, say it now, Snivellus!" Sirius dared Snape.

"I don't know any as of yet but I doubt there aren't any considering you're a teacher here, Black." Snape argued.

"Anyway, I wasn't favored when I needed the most and it costed me ten years of my life." Sirius replied.

"And it turned out to be one of my greatest mistakes ever." Dumbledore replied as if he was driving a point home. He then tried to get out of that subject. "Does any other faculty member have anything to say?"

Two days later, Professor Lupin resumed his teaching duties. "Good morning." He said to fifth-year students.

"Welcome back, Professor Such!" Gred and Forge greeted in unison. 'Will they ever tire?' Lupin thought. He then taught them until class period was over. After the other students left, Gred and Forge stayed behind. "May I help you, Messers Weasley?"

"Yes, Professor Such." They answered. "You can teach us how to play Marauder-level pranks on Professor Snivellus. I want to do something bigger than the stuff Professor Padfoot did in your absence."

"What did he do?" Professor Lupin asked and the twins' answers drove Remus mad. "I thought he had grown up! What was he thinking?"

"That Snivellus was a greasy git who deserves it for picking on Gryffindor students and favoring his slimy snakes." Fred answered.

"That's why we want some tips from you, Professor Such." George added.

Meanwhile, Sirius Black was giving his godson his goodbyes. "Prongslet, in my absence, it'll be your duty to make sure Snivellus gets all the pranking he deserves."

"Isn't it Professor Moony's duty?" Harry asked in confusion.

"Unfortunately, Professor Such lost too much of his Marauder spirit so the task is up to you." Sirius commented with a hint of sadness.

"Actually, I'd rather study for exams." Harry replied, to Sirius' disgust. "Those pranks sound too childish."

"I see your eyes aren't the only part where you take after Lily Evans." Sirius sadly commented.

Author's note: Honestly, I don't know where to go with this year. Should I just end it and go to Fourth Year?
