Sorry I haven't updated in literally three years, it has been extremely busy! I have been working on personal stories, but you guys have motivated me to finish it, so that is what I'll do! There is only one more chapter after this anyways. But sorry if everything is off, I haven't read the books in a long time and they might be really OCC. It is hard to get into the mindset of myself three years ago. Anyways, hope you enjoy, this part was based off the music video for Hero by Enrique Iglesias. Enjoy!

Thalia POV

After that night, we had no more cares about anything. We left our friends behind, the camp, the quests, everything. And for what? Love.

I told Nico how crazy this was. He just said, I agreed to go with him. So I punched him.

We drove from Long Island to Las Vegas. We stopped in whatever motel was closest and cheapest.

There were ruins we stopped, admiring them, eating what little food we had packed, enjoying each other's company.

The first night it was awkward. One small bed in a room and a little bathroom. The t-shirt and shorts I packed turned into a silky nightgown, topped off with lace and little ribbon bows..

When I came out of the bathroom, Nico was sitting on the bed, playing with this black cord with a pendent of a sliver double sided blade.

I cleared my voice and he looked up. He stood up, tucked the cord away and walked over to me.

"You look gorgeous." He whispered.

For the first time in my life I was shy. Afraid. Nervous.

But the feelings went away, the more we talked, touched, moved.

The next day, we reached Vegas. We explored, got into some trouble and fell in even deeper love.

No one even asked why two 16 year old kids were running around with each other, no friends in sight.

It was the best two weeks of my life.

But on the last day of the second week, we were tugged back to reality.

We decided to head out of town to find some new scenery, not realizing what the date was.

We were stopped in the middle of nowhere, by two people standing in the road.

Nico POV

These last two weeks with Thalia have been amazing. I saw a side of her I'd never seen before. We became comfortable with each other.

The necklace I had was something I had found walking along the beach back at camp, before Thalia and I had taken off.

I was going to give it to her, but I kept getting so distracted, I kept forgetting.

The two people standing in the way of our car, weren't gods as I had expected. Oh no, way worst. By the looks and armour, they were children of Ares.

We stopped and I stood up, the opened hood car was probably the best protection we had against these guys.

The girl on the right spoke first. "Nico di Angelo. Dad sent us on a run for you."

"Me?" I gulped. Not good.

Thalia jumped out of the car and wielded spear.

"Don't you dare touch him." He growled.

"Oh don't worry all might full daughter of Zeus. Your little spear can't do anything to us. Especially when it's made of rubber." The boy sneered.

"What-" Thalia looked at weapon. In the white lacy dress the spell put her in, she didn't look very intimidating. From far away anyways. She bent the weapon and it sprung back up. "How?"

"A few tricks we learnt at camp from the Hecate cabin." The girl grinned.

A camper we hadn't noticed earlier appeared behind Thalia and grabbed her.

He was much bigger and stronger. It didn't take much to hold Thalia back, the way the boy looked. But doing that required a lot of strength, so he must have had a right grip on her.

The boy and the girl, walked towards me. I jumped out of the car and temped to grab something that would help us, but all I pulled out was the necklace.

They grabbed me and pulled me to the front of the car. "Dad says your fathers aren't too over the top about the two of you being together."

The girl gave me a swift punch in the stomach.

I had given up on struggling. There was no way out of this.

"Now the told us to just split you two up, regardless of how we do it." The girl said. "So why not have a little fun?"

She pulled out a bat. Of all the magical weapons we had access to, she pulls out a bat.

"What? All the magic in the world, and you couldn't spring for something mental." I asked.

She backed handed me across the side of my face. "Don't be smart."

I didn't reply.

"So what were you and fired wires over there doing in Vegas? Getting it on?" She teased, hitting my side with the bat.

I winced in pain.

"Making money?" She hit me again.

"Leave him alone!" Thalia screamed from beside the car, struggling against the giant holding her.

"Careful, lighting brain." The girl said. "You try anything funny-" she pulled out her sword. "I'll kill him."

Thalia stopped immediately.

"Aw the fierce warrior stands down when it comes to her boyfriend. Oh this is rich." The girl laughed and the boy holding me snickered.

She struck again, against my ribs. I could feel them crack. I screamed again, falling to my knees as the boy let me go.

This type she stop talking. She handed the bat to the boy and they beat me till I was seeing double.

The girl grabbed my hair and pulled my head up so I would look at her.

"If you know what's good for you, you better put an end to this relationship." She whispered in my ear then pushed me to the ground.

I hit it hard and decided it was a good time to sleep.

Thalia POV

They are gone. They let go of me and jumped into the car behind us and left.

I ran over to Nico, slapping his face trying to get him to wake up. He was breathing but unconscious.

I gripped his hand and prayed to the gods he was okay. Though my vision that was blurry from tears, I found the cord he was playing with. I wrapped it around my hand and got up, determined to get Nico help.
