Chapter Seven: I Robot . . . You Jane.
It's the last class of the day, which is computer class and it is taking place in the school library. The class is helping out Mr. Giles by scanning the library books into a computer catalog or by going through the books for a grade, Mrs. Calendar stop going through the books and looks up at her class.
"That enough for today class, you can go now."
Both Buffy and Xander stop going through the books right away and the two of them walk over to where they backpacks are at, but Willow is still scanning books into the computer.
"Xander, do you want to stay and help me scan books into the catalog?"
"Love you Will but no. I am going to take Faith her homework from all her classes and then I am going home."
"Buffy, do you want to stay and help me scan books into the computer?"
"No, I am going to go home to Will, because I have things that I really have to get done tonight."
"Ok. I can do it by myself. Xander Told Faith's I said hi and please gave me a call tonight to let me know how she is feeling."
"I will do that and talk to you later Will."
Xander and Buffy grab their backpack and then walk out of the library, but Willow continues to scan books into the computer. In addition Willow starts talking to a guy online and does not go home until after sunset. A week later, Buffy runs up to Willow in the hallway and taps her best friend on the shoulder and when Willow does not turn around Buffy jumps in front of Willow and looks at her.
"Willow Ah-choo I try calling you all night, where were you?"
"I was online all night and by the way you face is red Buffy!"
"I just run all the way from the main doors of the school and over to you that might be way my face is red. Ahem with whom were you Ah-choo taking too online all night, Willow?"
"A boy that I meet online, his name is Moloch."
Faith's walk up to Willow and Buffy and then Faith taps Buffy on the left shoulder to get her attention. Buffy looks at Faith and notice she has a look on her face that say it is slayer relation. In addition Buffy and Willow's also notice that Faith's is no longer pale and look like she is feeling better, after getting a doctor note to misses the last eight days of school and being on antibiotic for tens days.
"B, G wants us in the Library."
"About Ah-choo what?"
"He did not say and bless you, B."
"Thanks, Faith."
Buffy and Faith waves bye to Willow and then the two of them walk to the library. A few minutes later the two slayers walk into the library and walk over to the study table. Buffy and Faith then sits down on the first two seats that are on the side across from Giles offices, Faith is in the first seat and Buffy is in the second seat. Buffy and Faith leans back in the seats that the two of them are sitting on and Buffy shut her eyes, as Giles walks out off the book cage and over to the table, carrying a large book under his left arm. He looks at the two slayers as he cleans his glass with his handkerchief.
"Yo G, what do you what?"
"Because the vampires have been keeping quiet since Angel dusted Darla ten day ago, Giles."
"About this Faith and Buffy!"
Giles throws a large book onto the table and it makes a loud banging sound which cause Buffy to jump and open her eyes. Buffy then starts looking around the room to see what could have made that nose and finds only a large book on the study table that could have made that sound.
"It's Ah-choo a book Giles!"
"It is a very old and heavy book. That is also, very dusty G!"
Buffy open up the book and flips through the pages, then Faith and Buffy look at the empty pages. Then the two slayers stare at they watcher with a look on they faces that say it looks normal to us.
"It is empty Giles."
"Yes Buffy. It's a book that kept a demon from getting out into the world, since the book is empty it means the demon is free!"
"Sniffling how did the demon get out?"
"Someone has to read the book for the demon to get out, Buffy!"
"Giles, can you say the last sentence over again and more loudly, because I am having a hard time hear you talk?"
"I said that someone has to read the book for the demon to get out, Buffy."
"Who has read the book G?"
"That the thing I do not know who could have read the book it was write in a lost language."
"Could Willow have scan sniffling the book into the computer last week, Giles?"
"Maybe that what has happened Buffy, but I just wanting to let the two you know about it. That why the two of you can keep an eye out for the demon and let me know if you see him."
"How neither Faith nor I know Ah-choo what the demon looks like Giles, sniffling?"
"Stop sniffing Buffy and blow your nose!"
"Ok and Giles you sound Ah-choo like my mom and Dad!'
Buffy unzips the front pocket of her backpack and pulls a tissue out. Buffy then blows her nose as Giles shows the two slayers a photo of what Moloch the corrupt look like the last time he was free. At the sometime the bell rings to head to first-hour class, Buffy zips the front pocket of her backpack up. Then the two slayers stand up and walks out of the library. Buffy and Faith's then start walking to history class, but Buffy stops Faith.
"What is it B?"
"Can you handle patrolling by your self tonight?"
"Yeah, but why because you know I just got off prescribes medication from being sick and I'm still not a 100%, yet."
"Sniffling I think that coughing I'm coming down with what you had."
"Yeah sure. I'm opening up the Bronze tonight, so I will be off early enough to go out on patrol."
"Thanks, Faith."
Faith and Buffy walk down the hallway and they turn down the second hallway from the library, which is on the left if coming from the library. The two girls then walk into the third classroom on the right, which is the History classroom. Then Buffy and Faith walk over to the desk they are assigned to sit at. Then Buffy and Faith's sit down at the desk they sit and Buffy rest her elbows on her desk and then start resting her head on both of her hands. Buffy shut her eyes right as the bell rings for class to start. Ms. Miller's stands up from the desk chair and walk in front of the desk and looks at the class to see who is in the class, since she is filling in for the history teacher.
"Hello first hour History class, I am filling in for Ms. Jackson who is out with the stomach flu. Please take out your textbooks and quietly read to yourself from where the class left off in chapter four, then read chapter five and if there is time you can start reading chapter six."
Buffy opens up her history textbook and start to read, but ends up falling asleep and starts having a dream. In the dream, Buffy sees Willow is talking online to the boy that she met online and he has asked Willow to meet him. Willow says I cannot meet you this week, but maybe next week. The boy say ok, but I do not think I can wait too much longer then that. The dream, then skip to a week later and she sees Willow going to meet the guy, but it is not a guy at all, but Moloch the corrupt. Just then Buffy gets waking up by the bell, which has started ringing and that means that first-hour has ended. Buffy sits up and looks around the classroom.
"B you sleep through the whole class and you were also talking in you sleep about willow and her online boyfriend."
"Ahem, did Willow hear me?"
"No she was to interest in read the assigned chapters to notice anything."
"Good coughing because she would say that I am just jealous of her!"
"Do you think it's a slayer dream?"
"I do not think so, Ah-choo I think it was just my wild mind going 100 miles per hour is all."
"At lest tell G about your dream!"
"Sure tomorrow, I am going to go see Nurse Ruth Greoliegh and see if she will send me home sick!"
"Whatever, B, I hope you feel better soon."
"I hope that I feel better soon too, Faith. Thanks again for taking patrol tonight, I am just not up to patrolling today!"
"No, big deal you have been doing patrolling now for ten days alone, so you are due for a couple nights off anyway."
"Faith's are you cold?"
"No, B. But I am not wearing a jean skirt and a purple tank top either. Maybe you should put your jacket on or a long sleeve shirt on!"
"I did not bring either to school with me, because I was running warm this morning."
"Sounds like you have a fever B, I have to go now or I will be late for English class. But I will let Ms. Miller's know that you went to see the school nurse."
"Thanks and have fun having Ms. Miller's for a second hour."
"So fun, not B!"
"Bye Faith."
"Bye B."
Faith stands up from her desk and grabs her backpack, then walks to the door of the classroom. Faith walks out of the classroom, then turning right and runs down the hallway to catches up with Xander and Willow. The three friends walk to English class together, at the sometime Buffy is putting her history textbook and notebook into her backpack, then Buffy zip up her backpack and stands up from the desk she is setting at and picks her backpack up. Buffy starts walking up the row between the desks and shivers twice and then start rubbing her arms, hoping that whatever she has is only a twenty-four-hour bug and that is nothing more serious like Pneumonia, Bronchitic, Strap throat or a bad case of the flu or stomach flu, which is what is going around the Sunnydale high school teachers, staff and the student body right now. Buffy gets to the last student desks and then reaches the teachers' desk. Buffy grabs six tissues out of the box on Mrs. Jackson's desk and puts five of the tissues into the right pocket of the jean skirt and then walks toward the classroom door blowing her nose into the tissue that was not put into the pocket of her jean skirt. Buffy walks out of the classroom and turns left and start walking down the hallway. When she gets to the end of the hallway Buffy turn left and head toward the front of the school. Buffy walks by the main office, Principal Snyder office and the four counselors' offices. Then Buffy turns into the first door after the four counselors' offices, which is the nurse office. Once in the nurse office Buffy sits down on the first recovery couch and starts coughing, Nurse Ruth Greoliegh who is sitting at the nurse desk looks up when she hears someone coughing.
"That cough does not sound health and what is your name, because I have never seen you before?"
"Ah-choo my name is Buffy Summers Ah, Ah, Ah-Choo."
"Bless you, Miss. Summers. Why have you come to see me?"
"I do not feel well."
"That is the reason everyone comes to see me, beside coughing and sneezing what other symptoms do you have, Miss Summers?"
"I have a sore throat, stuffed up nose, cough, my ears hurt and when someone Ah-choo specks softly I am having a hard time hearing them. In addition I have been really sleepy since I wake up this morning. Is there anyway that you can give me a pass so I go home sick?"
"I will have to check you attentions record to make sure that you have not used all of your sick days, Miss. Summer. If you do have unused sick days I will take a look at your throat and a look in your ears and also feel your throat to see if your lymph-nodes are swell. Then I will take your temperature to see if you have a fever and if you do have a fever then I can send you home sick."
"Ok."
Nurse Ruth Greoliegh's walks over to her desk and sit down on the desk chair. Nurse Greoliegh's then gets on her computer and pull up Buffy Summer attention's record and sees that Buffy's has several nonexcused absent and only two approve absents used. The first approve absents was dentist appointment and the second approve absents was on a Friday because of an upset stomach and low grade fever four weeks ago. Nurse Greoliegh's stands up and walk over to the cabinet that her medical supplies are in gets out a pen light, ear otoscope and then puts a 5mm viewing tip on the ear otoscope. The nurse then grabs a digital oral thermometer out of the cabinet, seeing that Buffy's ears are hurting and puts a probe cover on the thermometer. The nurse walks over to Buffy who is now laying down on the recovery couch and is yawning and set the medical instrument down on the table by the recovery couch. The nurse then looks at Buffy and sees that she looks tried and a little pale.
"Miss. Summers I need you to sit up please. I am going to check your ears first."
"Ok, Sniffling."
Buffy sits up and the nurse picks up the ear otoscope and check Buffy's right ear, then check the left ear and finds that she has a build up of fluids in both of her ears. The nurse put the otoscope down on the table and then picks up the penlight.
"Miss. Summers please opening your mouth for me."
"OK, coughing (into her left elbow.)"
After Buffy stop coughing, Buffy open up her mouth for the school nurse and then Nurse Greoliegh turns the penlight on and looks into Buffy's mouth. The school nurse takes a long look at Buffy's throat and the nurse finds that Buffy throat is red and her tonsils are swollen up. The school nurse also notices white spots on Buffy's throat and her tonsils. The nurse puts the pin light down on the table and Buffy closes her mouth. The nurse then feels Buffy's throat and founds that her lymph nodes are a little swollen.
"I am going to take your temperature now."
"Ok, Ah-choo."
Nurse Ruth Greoliegh picks up the thermometer as Buffy opens up her mouth. The school nurse puts the thermometer into Buffy's mouth and Buffy puts her tongue down over the thermometer. For the thirty seconds it takes for the thermometer to beep Buffy has to fight the feeling that she is going to start coughing. The thermometer start beeping and the nurse take the thermometer out of Buffy's mouth, who can't fight the feeling that she needs to cough any longer and starts coughing into her right hand, as the nurse looks at the thermometer to see if Buffy has a fever.
"Miss. Summers you have a low garde fever of 100.1 degrees Fahrenheit. You also have a fluid build up in both ears, along with swollen tonsils and white spots on your throat and tonsils. In addition your lymph nodes are a little swollen."
"Sniffling, I thought my fever would be higher and can I go home or do I have to stay at school?"
"Normal when a student has fever that low I sent them back to class, but since you have a fluid build up in both ears, along with swollen tonsils and white spots on your tonsils and throat and your lymph nodes are a little swollen I am going to write you a pass to go home sick and add an approve absents onto your attention record for the rest of today classes."
"Thanks."
"You are welcome."
The nurse goes over to her desk and puts the approved absent into the computer, so Buffy is excused for the rest of the day classes and then write out the pass for her to go home sick. Buffy stands up as the school nurse starts writing the pass and walks over to the nurse desk. When the nurse has finish writing the pass, she hands the pass to Buffy Summers, who takes it from the nurse and grabs a tissue out of the box on the nurse desk. Buffy walks over to the first recovery couch blowing her nose and when finishes blowing her nose Buffy grabs her backpack off the floor. Buffy throws the used tissue in the trash can by the recovery couch and then Buffy walks out of the nurse office and start walking to the main doors of the school. When walking toward the main doors of the school Buffy sees principal Snyder coming her way. Buffy rolls her eyes and start sneezes at the sometime. Buffy pulls a tissue out of the pocket of the jean skirt and covers her nose with the tissue. Buffy has just get to the main doors of the school when Principal Snyder walks in front of Buffy blocking her way out the school.
"And where do you think that you are going, Miss. Summers? You should be in English class right now!"
"I just came for the school nurse and the nurse has given me a pass that allows me Ah-choo to leave school and go home because I am sick coughing."
"Let me see that pass Miss. Summers."
"Ok, sniffling."
Buffy hands the pass too principal and he gives her an evil look, as he takes the pass. Principal Snyder reads the pass, which say it's eight thirty-nine a.m. and Nurse Ruth Greoliegh has given Buffy Summers permission to leave the school ground and go home sick, because of a fever of 100.1 degrees Fahrenheit. Along with having a fluid build up in both ears, swollen tonsils and white spots on her throat and tonsils and her lymph nodes are a little swollen too. In addition she has a sore throat and earache (as the result of the fluid build up in both her ears), a cough and lastly Buffy Summers can't stop sneezes.
"I did not think a tough girl like you would let a fever of 100.1 degrees Fahrenheit. Along with a sore throat, earache, cough and a case of sneezes stop you from spending time with friends and getting in trouble at school Miss. Summers!"
"I would love to stay in school and spend time Ah-choo with my friends, but I also do not want to get my friends or teachers sick, Principal Snyder and I feel awful."
"The truth is Miss. Summers that you look awful and you sound awful. So get out of here before I change my mind and make you stay in school for the rest of the day."
Buffy grabs the pass out of the principal hands and once Principal Snyder has walked away from the door Buffy walks up to the door and then open up the door. Buffy then walks out of the school and start walking home slowly. When she gets home Buffy walks up the porch steps and is pulling her keys out of her backpack front pocket. She reaches the front door and unlocks the door, but before she can open the door Buffy start coughing and drop the keys onto the porch. When she has stopped coughing, she kneels down and picks up the keys and then Buffy open up the front door of the house. Buffy walks into the house shutting the door and then locks the front door of the house. Buffy then walks over to staircases and drops her backpack on the floor by the stairs. She then walks into the living room and turns on the tv and turn the channel to MTV. Buffy walks over to the couch and lays down on the couch, then pulls the blanket that on the back of the couch down and lays it over her. Five minutes later Buffy is asleep, but coughing and sneezes in her sleep.
Meanwhile at Sunnydale high school, Xander is helping Faith get catch up on her homework during third-hour math class, because its only ten minutes into third-hour and the math teacher, Mr. Dellson has already run out of the classroom and into the male staff restroom, which is across from his classroom three times. Willow is not working on homework or reading ahead for any of her classes, but has her head down on the desk and is fast asleep, which surprise Faith and Xander. Faith puts the pencil she is using down and looks at Willow and then Faith looks at Xander.
"I can't believe Willow is sleeping during class, I hope she is not getting sick, Faith."
"No, Willow is not getting sick Xand. Willow met a guy online last week, when she stays after to scan books into the library catalog and she was up all night talking to him online."
At the same time Mr. Dellson walks back into the class holding his stomach and Faith taps Willow on her left shoulder. Willow open up her eyes to see the math teacher sitting down on his desk chair, Willow sits up and opens her math textbook up and the rest of the class open up the math textbooks too. Mr. Dellson pulls the list of students in his class out and then he stands up and walks to the front of the desk holding the list in his left hand and a pen in his right hand.
"Ok, class I am going to take attendance now, when I say your name say here."
"Adam"
"Here"
"Paul Albert"
"Here"
"Aphrodesia"
"Here"
"Aura"
"Here"
"Heidi Barrie"
"Here, but I would rather be at home in bed Mr. Dellson."
"So would I, but seeing I am not allow to be gagging home in bed neither, gagging, can you. Is Kevin Benedict here?"
"He is at home with the stomach flu Mr. Dellson."
"Thanks Heidi Barrie. Is Cordelia Chase here?"
"Here"
"Michael Czajak"
"Here"
"Lishanne Davis"
"Here"
"Kyle Dufor"
"He is not here, Mr. Dellson Kyle also at home with the stomach flu."
"Thanks Heidi Barrie, again."
"Emily Djiemanpwick"
"Here"
"Gagging, Nancy Doyle"
"Here"
"Chris Epps"
The teacher starts looking around the classroom when no one says here back, but Mr. Dellson does not see Chris Epps in the classroom. Mr. Dellson looks back down at the list to see what the next name is, when a wave of nausea hit him. He pushes it back and is about to call the next name, when he sees Heidi get out of her seat in the back of the classroom really fast and then she starts running up the row of desks with her right hand over her mouth. Heidi then runs by Mr. Dellson and toward the classroom door making a gagging sound. She makes it out the door and shut the door behind, but that is as far as she makes it. At the same time in the class room Mr. Dellson is reading the next name on the list out loud.
"Gagging Amber Grove?"
"Here"
"Gagging Xander Harris"
"Here and you look and sound awful, Mr. Dellson."
"Thanks for the end put Xander Harris gagging, Rhonda Kelly?"
"Here"
"Faith Lehane"
"Here"
"Amy Madison"
"Here"
"Dodd Mcaivy"
But before Dodd can say anything Principal Snyder come into the classroom pulling Heidi Barrie behind him and Principal Snyder is cover in vomit, which smell really bad and makes most of the class cover their mouth and nose to try and block the smell out. Mr. Dellson starts to turn green the near Principal Snyder and Heidi gets to him and Faith is the first to say anything.
"What did you eat for Breakfast Heidi because whatever you eat this morning does not small good?"
"Gagging, I had pancakes with blueberries on top. Along with bacon and two pieces of toast and now I wish that I had skip breakfast all together, but how could I when my father made me my favorite meal for my birthday this morning?"
"That stinks that you are sick on your birthday Heidi, I hope you feel better soon."
"Me too, Faith and I'm happy to see you are finally feeling better."
"Thanks me too."
The whole time Heidi is talking to Faith she keeps turning trying to get free from principal Snyder, despite the turning making her stomach more upset. Once Heidi and Faith stop talking to each other, Heidi gets free from the principal and run over to the trash can by the door and picks up the trash can. She then walks to her desk carrying the trash can in both her hands. By now Principal Snyder is on top of Mr. Dellson who can't stop gaging because of the smell. Heidi just reaches her desk and is now sitting down at her desk. At the same time Snyder gets Mr. Dellson back into the corner by the window.
"Mr. Dellson what is my rule about letting students who feel sick to their stomach out of class if they do not think their will be able to make it to the restroom, before getting sick?"
"If the student does not gagging think there are able to make it to the restroom in time, then the student has to throw up into the gagging classroom trash can."
"That right, then way did you let Heidi Barrie out of class?"
"Principal Snyder, Mr. Dellson did not let me out of class, I run out of class because I thought that I had time to make it to the restroom. As I said in the hallway, I am so sorry that I throw up on you."
"Principal Snyder can you please get out of the way, I am not feeling gagging so hot right this second and I really have to go to the restroom ASAP?"
"No deal with me standing in front of you and smelling like Heidi vomit, it will teach you not to break my rules about students with upset stomach leaving the classroom if there are not able to make it to the restroom in time!"
Right as Snyder stop talking Heidi leans over the trash can and starts throwing up, which cause Mr. Dellson to start making a really loud gagging sound. Snyder jumps out of the way and the math teacher runs out of the classroom. The teacher then runs into the male staff restroom for the fourth time during third-hour. Mr. Dellson's never comes back to the classroom and Snyder doesn't stay in the classroom either. The rest fo the school day drags by for Willow, Xander, Faith and the rest of Sunnydale high school students and teachers and when the bell for school to end rings, Faith is the first one out the main doors of school followed by Xander. The two of them stop on the last step, before the sidewalk. Xander then leans in and kisses Faith on the lips and she kisses him back. When they finish kisses the two of them takes each other hands and smile at each other.
"Faith, do you have to take time to yourself before going into work tonight, because I really want to spent time with you this afternoon?"
"Yes I do Xander because I really want to go home and take a nap. Then I have to get ready for work, in a few more days I will be up to doing more things with you. I have to go now."
"Ok. I will swing by the Bronze tonight, Faith!"
"Ok, see you then Xand."
Faith walks away from Xander and start to head downtown and Xander starts to walk to his parent's house. Meanwhile, Inside the school and in the computer lab Willow is online talking to her online boyfriend. At the sometime Faith is walking to her apartment and knows by the time she gets there she is not going to have time to take a nap, before getting ready for work. At the Summers house, Buffy has just walk out of the bathroom in her pink pajama tank top and pajama pants after taking a warm shower, which helped warm her up. Buffy has just walked into her bedroom when the phone ring. Buffy picks up the cordless phone and then hits the talk button.
"Buffy Summers speaking."
"Hello Buffy it is Giles, Faith told that you fall asleep in history class and had a dream about Willow's online boyfriend and Faith also told me that she went to sleep during study hall during the first half of fourth-hour and had a similar dream too about Willow's online boyfriend and when Willow met him he was not a teenage boy like he said but Moloch the corrupt, is that how you dream ending Buffy?"
"Ah-choo yes Giles that is how my dream ending, but coughing I do not think it was slayer relation."
"Buffy you and Faith both had dreams today that end the same why with Willow date being Moloch the corrupt, It has to mean something!"
"Ahem I do not think so, I have to get off the coughing phone. I'll talk to you tomorrow sometime."
With that Buffy hit the off button on the cordless phone and put the cordless phone on the stand, which is on her nightstand. Buffy then goes downstairs and walks into the kitchen and over to the refrigerator. Buffy open up the refrigerator door and get out a bottle of water out and two jell-O cups. She then goes over to the kitchen counter and open up the silverware drawer and gets a spoon out. Buffy shut the drawer and then walks out of the kitchen and walks into the living room. Buffy sits down on the couch and starts watching reruns of saved by the bell. That night Faith goes into work to open up the club at four p.m. and Xander walks up to Faith right after the club has open up, which is at five o'clock.
"Faith's have you seen Willow?"
"Not since computer class seventh-hour, she stays after to talk with someone online."
"Do you know where Buffy went to after first-hour?"
"She went home sick, because she is coming down with a cold or the Flu."
"That not good, hopeful Buffy does not get as sick as you did Faith."
"I'm sure that will not happen B mom will make her go to the doctor long before she gets that sick."
Faith walks away from Xander and then walks over to table number one. Xander walks over to table number four and sit down on one of the stools at the table. Meanwhile, Mrs. Summers is getting out of her SUV that is parked in the driveway. A minute later Mrs. Summers is walking up the sidewalk to the porch. A minute and half later Mrs. Summers walks through the front door and sees Buffy setting on the couch, drinking some hot tea and Buffy is wearing her pink pajama tank top and pink pajama pants. Ms. Summer walks over to her daughter and looks at her with that concerned mom look on her face.
"Buffy, are you feeling all right, because you are never home this time of day?"
"Coughing, no I feel all ache and feverish mom and the Ah-choo school nurse sent me home sick, sniffling at the beginning of second hour. The pass to leave school sick is on the nightstand by your Ah-choo bed!"
"I will be right back. You stay right here, Buffy."
"Ok, mom."
Mrs. Summers runs up to her bedroom and though the door that led to the connected bathroom. Once in the bathroom she gets into the medication cabinet and pulls out the thermometer. She then heads back downstairs and into the living room. Ms. Summers walks over to the couch and sits down next to her daughters' who has stopped drinking the tea and set the mug on the coffee table.
"Buffy's I want you to put the thermometer into your mouth."
"Ok, mom"
Buffy puts the thermometer into her mouth and lean back on the couch and wait for the thermometer to beep. The thermometer starts to beep 30 second later and Buffy taken it out of her mouth and head it to her mom.
"Buffy you have a fever of 102.8 degrees Fahrenheit, does anything hurt?"
"My ears and throat hurt and it starting to become hard to swallow, mom. Ah-choo just to let you know my fever went up since I see the nurse sniffling at school it was coughing only 100.1F."
"Buffy, go take some Tylenol and go to bed. If you are sick in the morning, I am taking you to the doctor."
"I'm sure coughing I feel better in Ah-choo the morning mom!"
Buffy stands up and grab the mug with the hot tea in it off the coffee table. She then walks out of the living room and over to the staircase. Buffy walks upstairs and then walks down the hallway until she gets to the bathroom door. She then walks into the bathroom and over to the bathroom sink. Buffy then opens up the medicine cabinet and takes the Tylenol bottle out. Buffy set the mug on the sink counter and then opens the bottle of Tylenol. She shakes two pills out and then close the Tylenol bottle. Buffy puts the pills into her mouth and pick up the mug, then take a drink to help her swallow the two pills. Buffy puts the Tylenol bottle away and walks out the bathroom door. She walks down the hallway coughing into her right hand, since the mug is in her left hand. When Buffy reaches her bedroom door, she walks into the bedroom. Then Buffy walks over to her bed and set the mug down on her nightstand. She then gets into bed and pulls the cover up, then lay down on the bed. Buffy shut her eyes and is hoping to get a good night sleep, because she has a French test tomorrow afternoon.
Meanwhile, Faith has got off work and is now out on patrol despite been exhausted from a long day at school and a long few hours at work. After a few hours of patrolling and seeing no vampires, Faith's heads home and takes a shower. Once Faith is all ready for bed she gets into bed and falls right to sleep. At the same time at the Summers house, Buffy has spent half the night coughing and sneezes and has started to make a whizzing sound, if laying down. Buffy gets out of bed and walks down the hallway and into the bathroom. She open up the medicine cabinet and get out the bottle of Tylenol cold and flu and takes two pills. Buffy then leaves the bathroom and head back to her bedroom, hoping that she can get a few hours of sleep.
In the morning at seven o'clock, Xander and Faith are sitting on a bench in the school courtyard talking to each other and Faith is resting her head on Xander right shoulder, Xander also has his right arm around Faith's waist.
"Xand have you seen B or Will this morning?"
"No, but Mrs. Summers is probably going to keep Buffy home from school today seeing that she was sick yesterday. Did Willow every show up at the Bronze last night?"
"No."
"I hope she is ok because it is not like Willow to skip out on plans or running late for school."
"I am sure that everything is fine Xand, she probably talking to her online boyfriend. We should head into school and go to our lockers."
"Yeah you are right."
Faith and Xander stand up and head into the school. Sixteen minutes later at the Summers house, Mrs. Summers walks into her daughters' bedroom and over to her daughter bed. She then feels Buffy's forehead with her right hand. When Buffy feels her mom's hand on her forehead, Buffy sits up in bed and looks at her mom.
"How are you feeling this morning Buffy?"
"What time is it mom? And I feel worse, coughing."
"It is now seventeen minutes after seven, Buffy."
"I am going to be late for school."
"I have already called the school and inform them you will not be in this morning because of being up half the night coughing and sneezing, along with running a fever during the night. I also told the school that it dependents on if I am able to get you into the doctor this morning if you will be in school this afternoon."
"Ok coughing."
"Now let me take your temperature Buffy."
"Ok Ah-choo."
"Bless you."
"Thanks mom."
Ms Summers put the thermometer into Buffy mouth and thirty second later the thermometer beeps and Mrs. Summers takes the thermometer out of her daughters' mouth and looks at the display to see what it says. At the same time Buffy has covered her mouth with her right hand and is coughing into her hand.
"You still have a fever and the fever has gone up to 104.9 degrees Fahrenheit this morning."
"I had a feeling that my Ah-choo fever had gone coughing up mom Ah-choo."
"Bless you."
"Thanks."
Mrs. Summers picks up the cordless phone that is set on the nightstand and then Mrs. Summers calls the doctor office. Mrs. Summers also sits down on the armchair by Buffy bed. At the same time Buffy grabs a tissue out of the box on her nightstand and blows her nose several times. Ten minutes later Mrs. Summers hangs up the phone and looks at Buffy who is coughing again.
"Buffy you have a doctor appointment at eight o'clock this morning, which is in a half hour from now, so you need to get up and get ready for it."
"Ok mom."
Mrs. Summers walks out of Buffy bedroom and head into her own bedroom. Buffy gets out of bed and puts on a pair of jeans and a white tank top and then puts a gray sweatshirt on over the tank top. Buffy then walks out of her bedroom and into the bathroom, coughing into her right hand. A few moments later Buffy stop coughing and pulls her hair into a ponytail. Buffy gets her toothbrush out and puts some toothpaste onto her toothbrush, then Buffy bushes her tooth. After Mrs. Summers and Buffy are ready, Buffy and Mrs. Summers head out to Mrs. Summers SUV and then Mrs. Summers drive Buffy to their family Doctors' office. Once they get to the doctors' office, the two of them head inside and then walk up to the check in counter and Buffy signs in. Buffy then walks over to the waiting room and sit down on one of the waiting room chair and Mrs. Summers sits down next to her daughter on Buffy's left-hand side. At the same time Heidi, who is carrying a waste basket, walks over and sits down on the chair next to Buffy, why her father is signing her in at the check in desks.
"Why are you here Heidi?"
"I have a high grade fever gagging and also have not been able to keep anything down since third-hour at school yesterday, why are at the doctor Buffy?"
"Coughing my ears are killing me and I also have a running nose and I'm all stuffed up. I also have a sore throat Ah-choo and I have a fever of 104.9 degrees Fahrenheit."
Just then Buffy and Heidi see Mr. Dellson, the math teacher sit down on a chair that is three rows over from them. After an hour and ten minutes a nurse open up the door leading to the exam rooms.
"Buffy Summers you can come back now."
Buffy stands up and walk over to the door and then walks through the door. The nurse shut the door and then the nurse puts the ear thermometer into Buffy's left ear to take her temperature. When the thermometer beeps the nurse takes it out and look at it, then the nurse writes Buffy temperature down on her chart.
"You are in room two."
"All-right, Nurse Smith."
Buffy walks into room two and sit down on the exam table. Buffy then begins waiting for the doctor to come into the exam room. After twenty minutes Dr. Kat walks into the exam room and over to Buffy.
"Let's see Buffy the nurse wrote down that you come in today because of a sore throat, cough, a running nose and stuffed up nose. In addition the nurse wrote down that you have a fever of 104.9 degrees Fahrenheit. "
"My ears also hurt and when someone is talking softly I'm Ah-choo having a hard time hear them coughing (into left hand)."
"Thank you for telling me that Buffy."
Dr. Kat makes a note about Buffy ears hurting on her chart and then set Buffy chart on the counter. Then Dr. Kat looks at Buffy who is blowing her nose into a tissue. The doctor waits for Buffy to finish blowing her nose before saying anything.
"I am going to look at your throat now."
"Sniffling Ok."
Buffy opens up her mouth and the doctor puts a tongue depressor into Buffy mouth and set the tongue depressor on Buffy tongue to hold the tongue down. Then the doctor shines a penlight into Buffy's mouth. Dr. Kat takes a very good look at Buffy's throat and sees that her throat is bright red and tonsils are swelling. The doctor also sees white spots on Buffy's throat and tonsils.
"Buffy your tonsils are swelling and your throat is bright red. In addition there are white spots on your throat and tonsils."
"That what the school Ah-choo nurse said yesterday."
"I am going to check your ears and then I will feel your neck to see if your glands are swollen. I am also going to take a swab from your tonsils and the back of your throat to due a Rapid strep test to see if you have strep throat."
"Ok, Dr. Kat, coughing."
Dr. Kat grabs the otoscope and puts the 5mm viewing tip onto the otoscope. Dr. Kat looks at the inside of Buffy's right ear and then looks at the inside of Buffy's left ear. Then Dr. Kat puts the otoscope away and feels Buffy's throat to see if her glands are swollen, which there are. Dr. Kat then picks up an otoscope/throat illuminator, along with a swab stick.
"Buffy can I have you open up your mouth now?"
"Sure."
Buffy opens up her mouth and Dr. Kat uses the otoscope/throat illuminator to look into Buffy's mouth to see further back into her throat. Then the doctor puts the otoscope for the throat down and takes the swab from Buffy tonsils and the back of her throat. Once she is finish taking the swab Dr. Kat does the rapid strep test. As the doctor is running the strep test Buffy lays down on the exam table and shuts her eyes, for the two minutes the test takes.
"You have test positive for having strep throat. In addition you have tonsillitis and a double ear infection and have swollen lymph nodes. I am going to write you a prescription for amoxicillin, which you have to take three times a day for ten days and a prescription for cough syrup. Buffy you need to go get both prescribes fill right away. Also, take it easy for a few days and drink lots of fluids."
"Thanks Dr. Kat."
Once the doctor has given Buffy the two prescribes, she sits up and hops off of the exam table. Buffy then walks out of the exam room and down the hallway that leads to the waiting room. Buffy walks into the waiting room and over to her mom. Then Mrs. Summers and Buffy walk out to Mrs. Summers suv and get into the suv. Mrs. Summer then drives to the drug store to get Buffy prescribes filled. Once the two prescribes are filled Mrs. Summers walks out of the drug store and get back into her SUV, then start t drive home. On the drive home Buffy lays the seat back and shut her eyes. When they get home, Buffy gets out of her moms' suv and then walks into the house. Once in the house Buffy walks into the kitchen and gets a bottle of water then takes the amoxicillin and the cough syrup. Buffy then walks out of the kitchen and over to her backpack. Buffy put the two prescribe bottles into the front pocket of her backpack and zips up the front pocket of her backpack. Buffy grabs her backpack and then walks toward the door and that is when her mom grabs her shoulders.
"Where do you think you are going, Buffy?"
"I have a test Ah-choo in France class during coughing sixth-hour that I have to take because the teacher coughing does not give Ah, Ah, Ah-choo, make up tests, mom."
"Buffy's you have tonsillitis, strep throat and a double ear infection. You should stay home and rest. You should also wait to go back to school until you have been taking your prescribes for twenty-four hours and have been fever free for twenty-four!"
"Sniffling moms' I can't coughing miss this test its 50% of Ah-choo my grade because it the mid semester exam and as Ah-choo, I already told you coughing the French teacher does not give make-up tests."
"I will take you to school then, Buffy. But if you want to come home sick during seventh-hour, it is all right with me."
"Thanks mom."
"You are welcome."
Buffy and Ms. Summers goes back outside and they walk over to the suv and a few minutes later Mrs. Summers is driving her daughter to school. By the time Buffy gets to school it is fifth-hour and she heads to the locker room to get ready for gym, the whole way to the girls locker room she can't stop sneezes. When Buffy gets to the locker room, she has starts coughing and by the time Buffy reaches her locker, she is wishing that she had stay home and watch rerun of saved by the bell, instead of coming to school just to take a test that she knows she cannot pass.
"Look Willow, B has show up late to school too!"
"Willow was late?"
"Willow was up all night talking to her online boyfriend, B."
"Ah-choo Willow's how do you know he is telling you the truth and misses the first four hours of school coughing is not like you."
"You miss them to Buffy!"
"I was at coughing the doctor then I had to sniffling go to the drug store to Ah-choo get my two prescriptions filled."
"What do you have, B?"
'I have Tonsillitis Ah-choo strep throat coughing and Ah-choo also have a double ear infection."
"That not good at all and you should be at home in bed Buffy."
"I would love to Will, Coughing, but Snyder already on me about the amount of school I miss beside Ah-choo we have that test in France class today."
After Willow, Buffy and Faith have change for gym, the three girls head into the gym and start to warm up. Faith and Willow look over at Buffy who has stop warming up because she can't stop sneezes. After a few minutes she stops sneezes and start to coughing. At the same time the gym teacher Carl Marin walks over to Buffy.
"Miss Summers I am going to have you sit out of gym class today and rest in the stands."
"Sniffling ok."
Buffy walks to the locker room and changes into her street clothing and a few minutes later Buffy walks into the gym. Then walks over to the stand, Buffy sits down on the second bench of the stand and watch her classmates doing gymnastics. By the end of gym class the cough syrup has starts to kick in, so she is not coughing as much, but is still sneezes a lot. Buffy waits outside for Xander, Faith and Willow as they get change out of they gym clothing and a few minutes later Buffy, Willow, Faith and Xander are heading to France class. Once in the France classroom Faith, Buffy, Willow and Xander take they seats and Willow quizzes' Faith, Xander and Buffy. When the bell for class starts the France teacher, Mr. Dejean passes out the test.
"All-right class you have until the bell rings to finishes this test, which count for 50% of your grade because this is the mid semester exam. Let's hope each one of you spent last night study for the test, good luck.."
The teacher sits down on the desk chair and at the same time Faith, Xander and Willow begin taking the test right away, but Buffy pulls out a tissue from her jean pocket and start blowing her nose. A few moments later Buffy set the used tissue on the desk and start taking the test, which she did not study for last night. Buffy now wishes she had study seeing she could not sleep last, when Buffy gets to question number five on the test, she starts sneezes again. By the time she gets to question nineteen out of a hundred and nineteen she starts to guess, because she has no idea what the answers to the questions is supposed to be. When the bell for class to end rings Buffy is only on question ninety-eight, but she puts down her pencil and grabs the test along with her used tissues. She then stands up and walk up to the teachers' desk and hand the teacher the test. Buffy throws the used tissues into the trash can and then walks to the desk she sits at and grabs her backpack off the floor. A few moments later Buffy walks out of the classroom with Faith, Xander and Willow and the four of them start walking to their last hour class and are talking to each other as they walk down the hallway.
"What are you doing Ah-coo tonight Willow?"
"I am going to meet Moloch at his place tonight, Buffy!"
Faith and Buffy look at each other and then look at Willow, who is just smiling at her friends. The four friends have reached the computer lab, so the four of them walk into the computer lab. Once in the lab Willow sits down at the desk that she sits at and gets to work right away, Xander sits down but does not start his computer assignment. Once Willow is busy and Xander has his eyes shut Faith pull Buffy out of the computer lab door and into a free classroom that is across the hall and Faith shut the door behind them.
"B the demon we have to look for is named Moloch and the name of the demon that was in both of our dreams?"
"Ah-choo, yes that is the demon name Faith."
"I think we need to talk to G, right away B!'
"Sure, it will Ah-choo get me out of class at lest."
Buffy pulls a tissue out of her jean pocket and start blowing her nose into the tissue and at the same time Buffy and Faith walks out of the classroom, then the two of them walk to the library. By the time Faith and Buffy get to the library doors, Buffy has started sneezes into a tissue. Faith pushes the door open and walks into the library and holds the door open for Buffy. Buffy walks into the library and then the two slayers walk over to the study table and then the two of them sit down on the two end chairs, Buffy is sitting on the side that Giles' office is on and Faith's is setting on sides that the book cage is on. Buffy put her leg up on the table and shut her eyes. But Faith is staring at the pictures of Moloch, as Giles walks out from behind the check out counter and then Giles over to his two slayers.
"G, The demon Moloch could Willow have scanned it into the computer. Like Buffy say yesterday, because the boy that Willow has been talking too online is also name Moloch and she going to meet him after school, just like mine and Buffy dream yesterday!"
"Fellow her, I will cast the spell to put the demon back into the book, But I will have to get Jenny to help because I have to have someone to cast the spell on the internet to."
"I can, Ah-choo help, Giles!"
"Bless you Buffy, but no go with Faith!"
"No G, she is sick and she should stay with you!"
"Fine, have you seen a doctor and do you know what you have Buffy?"
"Yes Giles and I have sniffling tonsillitis Ah-choo strep throat and Ah-choo a double ear infection."
"You should not even be in school today, you can help but keep you distance from me I do not want to catch what you have Buffy!"
"Fine Giles, but can I please get a bottle of water out of the mini refrigerator, because I need to take my second dose of amoxicillin?"
"Sure, go right ahead, Buffy. As you are doing that I am going to go get Mrs. Calendar, the two of us can use all the help we can get."
"Ok, Giles."
Faith, Giles and Buffy stand up and Buffy walks into Giles offices. Faith and Giles walk out of the Library and they both head to the computer lab. When school is over for the day Faith fellow Willow to where she is going to and keeps an eye on Willow and what Faith sees is not good, because a robot has been built for the demon Moloch. After watching for an hour Faith takes her cellphone of her hip and call Giles.
"Hello"
"Did the spell work G?"
"No"
"I know why, someone has built a robot body for the demon."
"Great you going to have to fight the robot Faith."
"All right G!"
Faith puts her cellphone back on her hip and then walk out of her hide spot. She then starts fighting with the robot demon and after several minutes the slayer is starting to get tired. Faith is now standing in front of the electric box and when Moloch throws a punch at her, Faith's ducks down and the demon fries himself.
"Thank Faith"
"No, big deal Willow, now let's get out of here."
"Ok, will should go sees Giles."
"Just what I was thinking Willow."
Faith and willow walk out of the building and then the two of them walk to the high school. Once at the high school the two girls head to the library. A minute later Willow and Fait walk into the library, Willow goes and sit down next to Buffy will is sitting on the end chair across from Giles office and Faith hops onto the check out counter. At the same time Giles walks out of his office, which is where he has been hidden from Buffy and looks over Willow and Buffy and then looks at Faith who has laid down on the check out counter.
"My date was a demon, but Faith's take care of him for me."
"Yawning, great I am already exhaust and now I have to go to work. Also, I am already running late for work."
"That not good sniffling that you are running late, I should have followed Willow, Ah-choo so you could have gone home and get ready for work."
"B, I would not have felt right letting you follow Willow with as sick as you are, yawning. Beside It was a taught fight for me and I am only yawning at 75% after coming off amoxicillin for ten days and a cough suppressant for eight and half days. There is no way you would have been able to fight the robot demon with a double ear infection and a high fever. You would have passed out after three minutes of fight him."
"More like a half a minute Faith, Because it was around three minutes when you start to get tired and then you moved in front of the electric box and duck down when the robot went to punch you."
"Cool move Faith, sound Ah-choo like something I would do and I do not think I would have made it a minute Willow."
"Thanks, B. Yawning I have to get going now."
"I am going home too and I am going to bed, see y'all when I feel better."
"I am going to do my homework at home and then take a shower."
"Yawning call Xander Will, he misses you."
"I will Faith."
Faith hops off the check out counter and then Buffy, Faith and Willow leave the library. Faith heads to work and both Willow and Buffy go home. Meanwhile Giles's finish what he is doing and then he goes home too. Faith makes it only an hour at work and then her boss sent her home to get some sleep, because she can't stop yawning and she was having a hard time staying a wake. Buffy falls a sleep right after laying down on her bed, but has a very rough night sleep because her nose was so stuffed up. Willow spent half the night talking to Xander on the phone and telling him about her date being a demon in a robot body and how Faith killed it.
