Sorry it took so long for me to update. I've had terrible writers block for a while and School started back up so I barely had time to write because of that . I hope you enjoy.

Today was Saturday. It was the day of the prom and everyone was excited. Marco on the other hand was worried. He figured that whatever Tom was planning most likely was going to happen tonight since that's when everyone would be distracted with Prom and everything.

Star has avoided him since yesterday. She wouldn't look at him . That only time he saw her was at dinner last night . Neither one of them talked but Marco did steal a few glances at Star only to be caught causing Star to glare at him .

Marco shook that memory out of his mind . He needed to focus on what was important , stopping Tom from getting to Star . Even if Star pretty much hated him right now that isnt what matters. Her safety was . Marco's thoughts were interrupted by a text.

'Hey baby, I can't wait for tonight! I'm so excited for Prom .' - Jackie

'Yeah me too.' Marco texted back .

Honestly Marco was nervous about tonight. If something happened to Star , he didn't know what he'd do . Marco doesn't care what it takes . He'll be ready for tonight . He'll do whatever it takes to protect her .

Marco looked at the clock . It was 1 pm. 6 more hours until prom . Marco walked out of his room and walked down the hall towards the stairs . He stop when he was in front of Star's bedroom door . It was closed . Marco knew Star was in there and walked up to the door . He was about to knock but he stopped and sighed, it was no use . Star wouldn't listen to him.

Marco went downstairs and walked into the kitchen. He decided to get some lunch . He made himself a sandwich and went to the living to eat it . He turned on the tv and watched it . He still had a couple hours before he should start getting ready.

At about 4 o'clock Marco decided to take a shower and start getting ready. After his shower he combed his hair and put some gel in it . He usually doesn't fix his hair up so nice but tonight was a special ccasion.

Marco walked to his room and took the tuxedo he got out of his closet. He then put the tuxedo on and put some cologne on. Marco looked at himself in the mirror in his room and smiled . He had to admit he did look pretty good .

Marco looked at the clock. It was now 6 o'clock. There was now an hour until the Prom . Knowing Jackie would be there soon he walked out his room . When he walked pass Star's room he noticed the door was open and her room was empty.

"She must have already left ." Marco said to himself before walking into the room .

He looked around Star's room . It hasn't changed much since she first got here . The only difference was that Star had bed her already large bed a bit bigger. It was now one of the biggest beds Marco had ever seen. Marco noticed that Star had left her wand and dimensional scissors on her stand . He quickly grabbed both of them , knowing he might need them .

Marco walked out of Star's room and went downstairs. Soon after he got down there was a knock on the door. He answered it and Jackie was standing there . She was wearing a short green dress with one strap . The streak in her hair was dyed to match the dress and she was wearing black high heels .

"Hey Sweetie you look handsome." Jackie said with a smile.

"Thanks, you look beautiful." Marco told her.

"Thank you , you ready to go ?" Jackie asked

"Yep." Marco replied.

Marco and Jackie walked out of the house and got into Jackie's car . Marco still hasn't learned to drive yet . It's not that he's a bad driver or anything , it's just with school, homework, karate, and battling monsters with Star , he never really had the time to learn to drive. He plans to learn over the summer though since he'll be done with both school and karate then.

When they got to prom . The line to get in was already very long . They got out of Jackie's car and got in line . Jackie leaned against Marco's shoulder as they waited which caused Marco to feel uncomfortable.

He probably should have told her he didn't feel anything anymore but he didn't have the heart to do it. Especially before prom . He shouldn't be here with Jackie right now . He should be focusing on saving Star .

Soon they were in front of the line and Marco gave the usher their tickets. They then went inside and there already was a bunch of kids there dancing and talking. It looked beautiful . White Christmas lights were strung all over for the lighting. There was a big dance floor in the middle and a bunch of tables to the left of it . On the right there was big snack bar set up .

"Wow this is amazing. Isn't sweetie?" Jackie asked.

"Yeah it is ." Marco said

Marco looked around and saw Star and Austin sitting at one of the tables together . He narrowed his eyes as he fought the urge to go kick Austin's butt right now . He needed to wait for the right time though.

"Marco , let's go dance ." Jackie said.

"Um... Okay ." Marco said still staring at Star and Austin .

Jackie led him to the dance for and began to slow dance with him . Marco tries his best to keep his eyes on Star and Austin. He need to kept on close on them . Something could happen at any moment .

Meanwhile.

Star and Austin were talking at the table . Star was laughing at a joke Austin told when she noticed Marco dancing with Jackie on the dance floor . She looked away , feeling anger and a amount of jealously . She was still mad at Marco but seeing him with Jackie still made her feel a little jealous .

"Hey Star , are you okay?" Austin asked.

"Y...yeah I'm fine!" Star said with a fake smile .

"You sure?" He asked "We can go outside and get some fresh air if you want ."

"S...sure , that actually sounds nice."

Austin took Star outside . There was a small field close by he lead her too. They were currently the only ones there . It was dark , the only thing giving them light was the stars in the sky.

"Wow, this is actually kind of beautiful ." Star said staring up at the stars .

"Not as beautiful as you . " Austin said

Star blushed "T...thank you."

"Star, close your eyes." Austin said.

"W..why?"

"I got something for you." Austin said.

Star closed her eyes , figuring he got her a present or something . She waited for about a minute until she heard footsteps coming from behind her . Before Star could open her eyes , she felt something hit her in the back of her head . That was the last thing she remembered before her world went black.

Marco was dancing with Jackie when he noticed Star and Austin were gone . His eyes widen as he pulled away from Jackie and looked around for them . Marco started to panick when he couldn't find them.

'Where are they?! They were just here a minute ago! I need to find them ! I need to save Star!' He thought .

"Marco what's wrong?" Jackie asked.

"Jackie...I ...I need to go..."

"What ...why?!"

"I...I don't have time to explain , I need to go now!" He said before starting to run off but Jackie grabbed his wirst .

"Marco , if you leave without telling me what's so important , we're through ."Marco stared at her for a minute before sighing.

"I'm sorry Jackie but I need to go save the girl I truly love." He said then ran outside.

Well there you have it. There's only one more chapter to go . Hopefully it won't take as long to update this time.
