Astrid POV

They should have come back by now, Tuffnut where are the dragons and their rider's".

"I don't know, why are you asking." said Tuffnut in an ignorant manner.

"Astrid, you check to see if my mum has found anything in the cove. I'll search the forest, meet me back in my house" ordered Hiccup.

Hiccup POV

Oh why did it have to be the twins, why not Fishlegs, or even Snotlout, anyone else would know something about this I thought through gritted teeth. Hacking my way through the unusual amount of fallen trees a I felt a big blob of hardened and cooled lava under my foot that felt like a big crunchy black pillow.

Instantly I recognized the mark. "Meatlug, Meatlug" I called over and over again with no success. Uhh I thought, better check the cove maybe mum found something. When I returned to the cove I found mum and Astrid looking gravely at the book of dragons, both were glaring at it as if it were their worst enemy.

"Astrid" I yelled "what is going on".

"Hiccup" she cried, "come and look at this".

When I saw what was written in the seadragonus giganticus maximums chapter I wanted to cry, give up. Written there, on Fishlegs handwriting was the news. A fever, lethal to humans, disables dragons, toxic gasses, it was all too much.

"How do we cure it" Astrid shouted.

"Why are you asking me" I yelled back.

"Your the chief, dragon trqiner, you think you would know something about it" she answered back.

"Gothe?" mum suggested.

"Great idea" I said in between imitating a night fury call to get Toothless, Astrid and mum did the same. When Toothless came he already seemed to know the news, his head hung low and eyes sunk into his face.

When we got to Gothe's house her Windows were all boarded up and the door had an extra lock. When we knocked she put her head round the scarcely open rotting door and summoned us in. We were barely out the cold when the door slammed behind us, blocking the freezing gales that whipped around the house rocking it back and forth.

Gothe explained to us how to cure the disease, it was easy to gather up the first 7 ingredients. Some limestone, red sand, seawater, deadly nadder spikes, Fox tail, pine needles and some silver birch bark. The only problem was the fact the last ingredients was a black scaled gecko that only feeds on one thing, a seadragonus giganticus maximums. The only seadragonus giganticus maximums around was trapped in the canyon of the river flowing through berzerka island.

"Where are we going to get one of those" stressed Astrid.

"We'll have to go back to Berzerka Island" I groaned delicately touching my bandaged arm.

"We can't though' Astrid winced "remember what happened last time, your arm, back and my hand."

"We have no choice"

Valka POV

When Hiccup and Astrid had got about an hour into the conversation I began to feel dizzy. My skin felt hot and I kept wanting to cough, whenever I put weight on my legs they crumbled. I slowly tuned out of everything that was going and just thought one thing I had this Poison in me, so did Cloudjumper. Luckily it had only just happened and I was on the other side of the room from Hiccup, Astrid and Gothe.

"I have this poison" I told Hiccup "I am going to the cove before Cloudjumper gets too dizzy to fly, to stop it spreading"

"Mum" Hiccup cried as I hobbled out the door "come back mum"

Cloudjumper flew at an oddly bumpy pace, I was glad I had my saddled because his skin was a burning a red hot blaze. When we arrived at the cove Cloudjumper collected some logs to make a suitable bed and air fumbled around trying to tie down some comfy pieces of tall grass before I got too ill. I finished gathering food and making the bed just in time for night.

When I woke up it was hard to know it was a dream or not for I was light headed, dizzy and hot. Feeling ill I ate some of my fish and slumped back into bed to go to sleep.

Astrid POV

"What do we do now" I questioned Hiccup.

Hiccup replied "We head it out, fight for this medicine and get our family, friends and dragons back no matter what the dangers may be."

I will post my next chapter more quickly because I have got past the bit I had no idea for.
