Jessie had to admit, it was a brilliant idea. It took a little convincing for Johnny and Sonya, mostly it Sonya making sure that Elphaba had the strength for it. After Elphaba proved that she was fine for this, they were on board. Johnny made the arrangements on the fly. Being a very well paid actor and producer did have it's perks. A couple of phone calls to Jax and Sanchez to film the once in a lifetime reunion was the last detail.

JJ sighed, as he got into the limo. Was it just too much to ask his dad to come to the airport and pick him up? He rolled his eyes as he tried to stop the anger from building up too much. He knew his dad was still trying to cope with mom being gone, and he was still angry as hell at Raiden for leaving her there. His dad was trying to be strong, but honestly JJ just wanted his old dad back right now. The cool one that walked away from multimillion projects just to watch him play football. The dad that went camping with him and always had time to spend just father and son. Without mom...that dad didn't exist. JJ tried not to tear up thinking about if his mom was even alive. Uncle Jax told him to never give up on her and he hadn't. However, not seeing her for three years...the hope was wearing thin. He knew his mom should have escaped by now, or died trying...that was what scared him the most. When Aunt Jess was there they got updates. Now it was just silence. He sighed as he looked out the window and tried to clear his thoughts.

Johnny had everything set up and he was double checking all of the details for the hundreth time. "Ok, you two stay out of sight. If JJ sees you he'll know something is up." He said to Jax and Sanchez.

Jax scoffed, "I think we know how to surprise somebody A List. Just chill man, it'll be fine." He said with a chuckle at how nervous Johnny looked.

"You chill. We've got one shot to get this right." Johnny said distractedly as he heard the limo coming in.

Jax and Sanchez scattered out of sight. Johnny went up to the soundstage to begin.

Sonya watched from the office as JJ came in. Her face lit up when she saw how much he had grown! Jessie and Elphaba saw it and both smiled at each other. "Look at how much he's grown!" She said with a few tears of pride on her face.

"He looks just like Johnny, but he's got your hair." Jessie said.

Sonya nodded, "He walks like his father, a confident swagger."

Elphaba smiled as she stepped forward and placed a hand on Sonya's shoulder. "Are you ready?"

Sony took a deep breath and nodded, "Let's do this. I've got mom time to catch up on." She said with a smile.

The three of them slipped back stage and went up as high as they could in the catwalks.

Johnny was hard at work on the special effects as JJ walked up behind him. He set off a huge cloud of smoke just as he heard his son was close. "How's that for the evaporation?" He asked JJ.

JJ shrugged, "It's ok. Is this why you didn't pick me up?" There was a slight tone of annoyance in his voice.

Johnny felt insanely guilty for that, but he knew it would be worth it. "Of course, the play is next month. I want to make sure my people have everything perfect for your class."

JJ rolled his eyes, "Would've been more perfect if you'd met me at the airport."

Johnny sighed, "Sorry, JJ. The special effects team needed my ok tonight because they leave for the European studio next week." He said. Johnny looked up at the corner where Elphaba and Sonya should be in position but out of sight. "Hey, can you help me with something and then we can head home? I want to check that the broom trajectory won't hit anyone in the head."

JJ rolled his eyes and grumbled as he slowly climbed onto the stage. "Let the broom go so we can go home." He stood tall and kept an eye out for the broom.

Johnny took the moment when JJ wasn't looking to smile. Elphaba slowly glided her broom down until she was just a few inches above JJ. JJ stared in shock when he saw a woman on the broom. She was green! He turned to look at his dad to see if he had set this up. He just got a shoulder shrug and he turned back.

Elphaba smirked at his shocked face, "I found something I believe is yours." She said before lowering to the ground and turning so that JJ could see Sonya.

JJ stared blankly at her for a brief moment. Sonya was off the broom and they met each other in a fierce hug. "MOM?!" JJ yelled in partial shock. Elphaba smiled as she stepped a few steps away slowly.

"My angel." Sonya said softly as she held him close in a fierce hug. There were tears of joy in her eyes as she hugged him. Right now she wasn't a soldier, or a warrior. Right now she was a mother who had been kept from her son for far too long.

Jessie slipped up behind Elphi and hugged her. "Tell me that's not the most beautiful sight you have ever seen." She whispered.

Elphaba smiled as she leaned back into Jessie with a soft sigh. "It is beautiful, but it's the second most beautiful thing I've ever seen."

Jessie raised an eyebrow at that. "Second most beautiful?"

Elphaba smiled brightly, "Our wedding will always be the first."

Jessie smiled wide as she kissed Elphie's cheek. "God, I love you."

Sonya hadn't let go of JJ who was clinging to her just as much.

"When?" JJ asked as he finally let her go, wiping away his tears.

"Yesterday. I wanted to surprise you." Sonya said with a smile as she smoothed his hair back down.

"For good?" He asked with a little worry in his voice. He wasn't sure he could handle just a visit.

Sonya nodded with a huge smile on her face. "For good. Shang's dead and I'm free." Her heart soared at that fact and the love in her sons eyes. Johnny came up the steps and they all were hugging each other tightly.

"Come on, let's go." Jessie said softly to Elphie.

Jax appeared and cut them off. "Where do you think you're going?"

Jessie sighed softly, "I'm giving them their space. He hasn't seen her in three years Jax."

"He hasn't seen you either." Jax pointed out.

Jessie shrugged, "Plenty of time for that later." She said trying to move past him.

"Jess, you're part of the family too." Jax said motioning to where Sanchez had joined into the group hug.

"Trust me he won't..." Jess began.

"Aunt Jess?" JJ said before running towards her.

She turned just in time to wrap him up in a tight hug. "Hey kid." She said a little choked up.

Elphie looked at them with a soft smile on her face.

"I missed you!" He said.

Jessie smiled as she mussed his hair. "I missed you too big man. Come on, let me introduce you to someone," Letting him go, she reached for Elphie's hand. "JJ, this is my wife Elphaba. Elphaba, this is my favorite nephew JJ."

"Nice to meet you." Elphaba said as she extended her hand for him to shake. She was surprised when he pushed her hand away and hugged her tightly.

"Nice to meet you too. Thank you. I don't know how dad talked you into getting paing, but that was so cool!" He said excitedly.

Elphie looked over at Jessie who nodded. "Actually...it's not paint. I was born green.

"Really? How cool is that?" JJ said, a little awed.

"Very, I think." Jessie said with a wink as Elphie blushed.

Before she could say anything else, Sonya came over. "Come on, we can do the meet and greet at the party tonight. I want to go home." Sonya said, putting her arm around an estatic JJ.

"Can I ride with you, mom?" He asked.

"I wouldn't ride with anyone else." Sonya said, pulling him closer.
