Chapter 7: Wind, Sands, Set

Anubis and Taiyou were currently on the way back to the capital of Alexandria, it has been 3 days since they left Thebes and were now traveling downstream towards Giza on their barque. Anubis at the moment was sitting on the bowl of the with a stone to sharpen his Conductor of Souls.

As he did, he looked to the west bank of the Nile, seeing the Great Pyramids of Giza perching up from the ground, their marble alabaster stone covered surfaces and gold top reflect the sunlight, shining on all directions. It was said that anyone who lost their way can simply look to the pyramid and they would be saved from the desert sands.

However, Taiyou and Anubis felt that something was not right today, the wind was noticeably stronger than usual, blowing West to East of all directions, not only that but Anubis saw that sandstorm blowing over the pyramid, blanketing the nearby Necropolises.

"That's not a normal storm around these parts, is it?" Taiyou asked semi-rhetorically.

"No it isn't." Anubis nodded.

"Well...with how things are going so far, I think its a safe bet that whatever is causing it has my Galestorm Brush…" Taiyou sighed, honestly quite annoyed at the fact that his powers were being abused like this. "So set a course for the pyramids?"

"Gear up and get ready… I sense a trap." Said Anubis as he grabbed his weapons and tools from the Barque's deck. The sandstorm forced the crew to dock their ship by the nearest dock and let Anubis and Taiyou dismounted. As they did, the two would find themselves under the mercy of the storm with the wind blowing over them quite intensely with the local houses having their doors ripped off and furniture flung around. "This is not Set, not him. I think someone else is behind this." Said Anubis as he held up his right hand to cover his face.

"Considering I'm VERY sure this is being caused by the Galestorm Brush, Kek is either directly involved, or is pulling someone's strings again!" Taiyou said over the winds as he too fought to keep his face shielded from the sand. "Does that help?"

"Plenty. Let's hope whoever's doing this does not bother the Dead anymore." Said Anubis as he led Taiyou deeper into the Giza Plateau by the necropolis for the workers. At that point, the storm would die down in a sudden and strangely enough this left them with trenches on the sand all in S shapes. This suggest a serpent slithered around the place and burrow into the ground or something. Around Taiyou, he saw the place seems to have rectangular mastabas, burial houses for various workers near the Pyramid.

Taking out the Ankh again, Taiyou noticed it reacting...and pointed towards the pyramid. "Seems like whatever has the Galestorm is inside the pyramid," he frowned, not exactly comfortable with the idea of going into a tomb out of respect.

Anubis was heard growling furiously as he grip the handle of the Conductor of Souls tighter before taking a step towards the Pyramid leading Taiyou with him. Being a Guardian of the Dead, Anubis was quick on his feet as he approached the Pyramid and traversed the steps of the structure, he climbed on to its side and helped Taiyou up to what appeared to be a small passageway into the pyramid's labyrinth. The jackal deity would then light up a torch to guide the way for Taiyou as the two carefully went down deeper and deeper through the passageway.

The deeper they went, the colder Taiyou felt as cobwebs and rats were seen scurrying around inside the structure's hallways. They two soon came up to what appeared to be an undiscovered chamber, this one had dark shiny onyx stone structures with a rectangular obelisk in the middle. Anubis upon seeing the room had his jaw hung open gasping in awe and amazement at its sight. Clearly he had never seen anything like this before in his entire life.

"What is this?" Taiyou gasped at the structure. "I can feel there's something...strong from this. Like it's very important…"

"I've never seen this before." The jackal replied. He came up close to the obelisk to inspect its features, his palm was placed on the side of the obelisk, stroking it gently dusting it before seeing ancient writings on its surface. The hieroglyphs were apparently inscribed in gold as they glow brightly before his eyes. He felt a rush of energy surging through his body as he gasped for a moment, he soon saw the obelisk project a holographic field around them, at first these were countless lines of golden particles in front of them, the particles would then arrange themselves into silhouettes of massive entities, humanoid entities towering over the celestial bodies.

The scene began to take shape, showing them the silhouettes of these entities moving about, forming stars and galaxies out of nothing. They molded planets, failed, then try again, positioning the sun and countless celestial bodies to a perfect orbit. The process seem to require observation and endless patient from the entities perhaps lasting millions if not billions of years that Anubis and Taiyou were too young to grasp. "The Primordials… founders of Worlds." Anubis uttered in dazzling amazement.

"Something like this...it'd have to be ancient...and I mean ANCIENT...to have had something like that…" Taiyou gasped in awe. He'd heard of the Primordials too, but to think they'd see a recording of the beings right here...it was almost hard to believe. "But...why would something like this be under the pyramid? Isn't this a tomb?"

"This is a tomb… for the pharaohs before Horus but… who put this here?" Anubis pondered on the fact that the pyramid was in fact having a strange holographic recording placed inside it without his knowledge. Suspicion grew as he began to walk with Taiyou towards another exit, this one appeared to be camouflaged as a wall. It slid down revealing the regular hallway for them to walk out towards the conventional sections of the pyramid before sliding up to hide the chamber once again. "Whoever did this… must have been part of the original construction team, maybe they took orders from someone to put it there. But it was long before my birth… by now they all would have been dead." Said Anubis as attempted to deduce a likely explanation.

"That's a shame. We might have learned some lost knowledge," Taiyou sighed. "At any rate, we should probably deal with whatever is causing the sandstorms. Once we do that, maybe we can find out more later," he suggested.

The two continued their search trying to find whatever that was inside the pyramid, this caused Anubis to grow ever more suspicious, for any serpent to have left a sizeable trench on the ground it would have to be gigantic, if it were to burrow itself inside the pyramid, the structure would have collapsed and revealed the secret chamber within.

But still they heard something, a hiss echoing through the hallways, leading them into a treasure chamber where Taiyou found the room to be covered in mounds of gold furniture. From kettles, pots, chairs, wardrobes, closets, beds, figurines, idols and much more all made in gold, surrounding a gold sarcophagus. "Here lies Pharaoh Khufu, second Pharaoh of the 4th Dynasty. He Who Exalts His Glory." Anubis read the hieroglyphic writing and sighed out to it. "He Who Standardized Pyramid Constructions." He quipped.

"...okay...is that normal or is he one of the big ego types?" Taiyou couldn't help but ask with a sweat drop.

"The normal one. As in glorifying his ego like all pharaohs." Anubis stated nonchalantly to Taiyou showing that perhaps the benevolent pharaohs of Egypt might be a bit off in terms of their lifestyle and mindset. But at that moment, they heard a rustling sound coming from the ceiling and the serpent sticking its massive head down on them. It hissed threateningly, opening its jaw wide and baring its deadly fangs to them. The snake appeared to be a dark cobra with ink black scales as it slither around the crevices and tunnels to encircle the two.

I think we found what's been making the sandstorm," Taiyou frowned, pulling out his Reflector and settled into a ready stance. "I'm not really familiar with what this is beyond being a large snake. Any suggestions?"

"Stay calm, use whatever fire you have to keep it contained. Snakes hate fire." He instructed Taiyou as Anubis reached for his scepter, it formed into its battle stance morphing the jackal head into the sickle like end that lobbed out energy balls at the target. The serpent would then lunge itself at Taiyou first snapping its jaw to try and bite Taiyou with its deadly fangs. The snake had its head snapping and hitting hard on the floor at Taiyou repeatedly, though he may have dodged its deadly strikes with his speed and agility the serpent was warming up.

Taiyou acted quickly and pulled out Sunslayer, before using his Reflector as a shield, while using Power Slash to try to cause damage to the snake. The snake hissed in anger, but when it tried to attack him again, he managed to slash it with his sword, causing it to hiss in pain when the flames cut parts of its scales.

The cobra true to its instinct slither on the ground again, trying to encircle Taiyou and Anubis as much as it can, the snake spit out its venom at Anubis and Taiyou, only to see the two canine deities leaping away from where it was intending to land its lethal strike. The poison landed on the gold and the sarcophagus leaving a toxic air filling the place as it began to slither around again trying to divide and conquer.

"Be careful!" Taiyou growled, before ripping one of his sleeves off and using it as a mask to keep the poison out of his system, before ripping his other sleeve off and throwing it to Anubis who did the same. He'd fix that later with Rejuvenation, but for now making sure they didn't breath in the poison was the biggest priority.

"Come at me, spawn of Apep!" Anubis taunted the serpent with his bravado of a god. He saw the serpent hissing menacingly before striking at him again. Only this time it missed with its nose diving into the sand before having Anubis swiping it across its nose, causing it to flinch back, flailing its head around and slamming into the wall in the process. The serpent was now growing increasingly tempered with its aggression. Seeing that continuous thoughtless strikes will lead it nowhere, the serpent began to taunt Taiyou and Anubis back. Hissing and baring its fangs at them to entice a first strike from them.

"Doesn't look like it's going to make a move," Taiyou frowned, looking around...before he had an idea, noticing a few pillars. Acting quickly, he created a Cherry Bomb on two pillars, which detonated, causing the pillars to teeter and fall over, hitting the snake hard, while Taiyou quickly used Rejuvenation to repair the damage before it became problematic.

The Serpent was buried under the the rubble but by no means a defeated foe, it instead opted to burrow itself further into the underground of the pyramid the cobra dug what was essentially a narrow vertical tunnel with its own head and body as it went down to the very bottom of the pyramid, where the foundations and first stones were set into place. "Malaka (Damn it), it went further into the foundation. Let's pray it doesn't get smart with those." Said Anubis as he prepared to jump down the place into where the serpent was hiding.

"Then we'd better hurry and stop it!" Taiyou nodded, before they both jumped down the hole.

The two fell through the air, and soon landed in a room below.

Once the two dropped down into the very bottom of the pyramid, where light was nowhere near to light their ways in such a dangerous place. Anubis was compelled to light another torch to see where they were. But as they struggled to find their ways in the darkness. Something was truly sinister has been waiting for them. Anubis coughed out and groaned feeling weaken somewhat in a sudden by an unknown source.

"Something's….not right…" Taiyou gasped, suddenly feeling like he'd been using brush techniques near non stop.

"We… we've been… t...tricked…" Anubis realized though it was too late to matter much as he struggled to stand up on his feet, he fell to his knees with his left hand planting on the sand. He glanced up slowly feeling his strength leaving him like a leech was suckling him, fattening itself on his back. His torch was lowered, revealing crystals in front of him, shiny crystals that were apparently planted there in patches by someone else as he felt himself sapped of all his strength.

The serpent at this point was visible again, slithering out from the darkness and spit its venom at them once again. Unable to evade, both deities shouted in pain as they were bathed in a stream of venom, falling to the ground as the venom seeped into them, while their clothes began to dissolve. Both of them tried to get back up, but suddenly the sound of more slithering was heard, before something came from the darkness, and both were chained to several crystals, causing them to shout in agony as their energy was drained, while the poison bathed them again, their vision soon going dark from the abuse.

[hr]

As the hour passed them by, nothing seems to matter anymore with the inky abyss that was their subconsciousness kept them chained, literally, in place. Though he may had the years of experiences and wisdom to back him, nothing was enough to prepare Anubis for the danger that was his current predicament. He groaned out in pain, panting for air as he slowly became conscious again. He glanced around a bit, and found he was lying on his back on a table of some kind, his limbs spread and chained down, stopping him from moving. He was also completely naked, no doubt his clothes had dissolved from the poison.

"Nek… at least Bastet isn't here to see this." Said Anubis in an annoyed grumble as he glanced around again to make sure he has an idea of where he was. He found that he was still in the bottom of the Great Pyramid with the sand had buried the floor of the room, making any access to the tunnel leading up to the top easier for him to do but he need to break out first.

"Got to break out somehow… but damn those crystals." He growled in annoyance as he yanked and pulled the chains that bind him but he found himself groaning and tired out faster than anticipated. Clearly the chains were still holding him back with the help of the crystals around the room to weaken him. "Where's Taiyou? Damn it I can't let anything happen to him. I made her a promise." He puffed his chest up and huffed out struggling harder still to break free.

"By the might of Sobek… by the fury of Set Sutekh, break these chains that bind me." Anubis thought to himself as he struggled harder against the chains to break free, as he did, the table began to rumble as the crystals attempt to leach him again like the last time. The crystals glow brighter and brighter, trying to control his power only to find themselves struggling this time around. The lights they had were getting dimmer by the minutes as Anubis sweat and felt his struggle paying off.

Slowly his muscles flexed, showing his firm six pack and biceps rolling on his body as he struggled to break the chains, which were now nearing the breaking point of their own tolerance of his resistance. Their links began to snap and crack, small cracks and particles of their materials began to fall to the ground in crumbs before a larger chunk fell off, snapping the chains on his right wrist loose. Grinning triumphantly, he used his free arm to help free his left arm, and then his legs, and before long he was free from the chains.

As he broke free and kicked the table aside, the crystals around him were broken, each one of them shattered in successive order of each other leaving him feeling rejuvenated somewhat. But it will take longer for him to fully recover as he breathed out slowly to recover his bearings. He then looked back at the hole on the ceiling leading up to the pyramid's top levels.

His first thought was to scurry up and find Taiyou, only this time, he wasn't leaving so easy. He saw that he was not alone and whoever ambushed them had left back up plan just in case. From the shadow of the chamber came a horde of 10 Lamia, naga like monsters with their lower portions being of a snake and their tops of a human woman. And more concerningly...they all wore jewelry...made from the very crystal that sapped his strength…

Though the larger crystals were destroyed, the multitude of smaller ones can certainly be a problem to him especially when he was far from fully recovered and the problem manifested quickly when he fell to his knees again, struggling to maintain consciousness as the Lamia encircled him and pinned him down on his back. Anubis tried to fight back, but the proximity of all the small crystals sapped his strength again, weakening him greatly.

All 10 of them soon coiled around him, binding his body and limbs, the jackal feebly fighting back, before a few started to lick and tease him, his member becoming involuntarily hard, before one Lamia lined up...and the group proceeded to gang rape him, the serpents riding and taking turns with the helpless god while the crystals kept him weak and unable to resist, especially when they soon brought out some shackles and a collar, lined with the same crystal, and soon affixed them onto Anubis's neck and limbs. Before long his struggles died down and he could only cry out and shout as he was taken again and again.

Hundreds of meters above Anubis's problem, Taiyou himself was suffering from the same problem as he was restrained by the chains inside the burial chamber of the pharaoh. Chained up on the wall in front of the sarcophagus with a patch of 4 crystals around him keeping him in check.

For Taiyou, the only thing that kept him awake was the faint and muffled sound of Anubis struggling echoing from the bottom of the pyramid, the other being a visual input of the glistening Egyptian gold in front of him keeping him from being unconscious for too long. He soon began struggling to get free, his well muscled body straining against the chains, but fortunately, they weren't enchanted and slowly but surely, they started to crack...and eventually broke.

Once Taiyou's chains were broken, and he landed on his feet, he saw the crystals sapping his strength shattered into pieces giving him an impression that their capacities to sap strength had been overloaded. But before he could find Anubis to rescue him, he too was ambushed by the Lamia.

Only this time he was surrounded by three of them instead of a whole pack of 10 like Anubis suffered. Nevertheless, they came prepared with their jewelry being decorated with the same crystals that sapped him earlier. The snake monsters ambushed him from the shadows, and he was soon on the ground, the three wrapping their coils around him, the young wolf fighting to get free, but as it was, they all had firm grips on him, and the crystals now in close proximity of his body were draining him of his strength again.

The serpentine monsters were holding him down trying to keep him still in place for their crystals to work, however the smaller crystals, and the numbers of Lamia in a room full of gold didn't exactly make the effect long lasting as they hope. The Lamia knew they had to get things done fast, one of them was behind him, pinning him down on his back as the seductive female monster trace her fork tongue on his neck and chin, licking his pristine white fur.

The other serpents began to spread his arms and legs out as they began to rub their scales against his genitals, supporting his rod throbbing more and more as they began to get him turned on. The one behind him soon grabbed hold of his arms, and lifted him up a bit, pinning his arms while his head was soon sandwiched between her breasts, causing him to groan as he felt himself almost painfully hard now as the one in the middle licked his form, teasing his nipples too a little, while the third one lined up, and soon impaled herself on his member, causing Taiyou to let out a shout as he was being violated. He growled and struggled, but they three soon had him in their coils, the grip tightening on him, causing him to gasp as he felt the air squeezed out of him, while the lamia impaled on him continued to thrust towards him.

As the Lamia were tying Taiyou down trying to get their work done on him, the one in front of him grabbed him by his head and kept his face buried into her cleavage while her sisters were busy going to work on his rod and genitals.

Taiyou grit his teeth, his senses being assaulted from all directions, while he felt their well endowed forms against him and their tongues trailing all over him. Eventually it became too much and with a muffled howl he felt himself climax, his seed spilling into the lamia riding him. The lamia seemed to smile, before her tail wrapped around him, keeping him pinned while she slowly removed herself from his rod...only for another to take her place and the cycle began anew. Taiyou growled and howled as the three lamia took turns raping him, forcing him to fill them with his seed again and again.

The third Lamia wrapped her lower bodies around his rod, she began to force a kiss on his lips and began to grind his used rod against her hole and began to slip it in closer and closer. Eventually he felt her serpentine body's tunnel pull his rod inward. Growling, he tried to struggle, but one of the lamia noticed that, and soon drew out a set of shackles and a metal collar, all of them having bits of the crystal on them.

The Lamia handling the shackles and metal collar would then proceed to slap the collar on his neck while the shackles were slapped onto his wrists and ankles, another set slapped on his tail with a chain link to the metal collar on his neck raising his tail up to reveal his tail hole and well toned rear. "Wh-What!? Y-you depraved… b-beasts…" Taiyou grumbled weakly as he felt himself experiencing a nauseating asphyxiation by the crystals.

"Oooh thissss wolf is a fighter heh? Let's sssssee what he got in store for me." Said the Lamia as she continued to have his rod vexed inside of her tunnel rubbing his rod against the flesh walls. It was slow at first but was picking up speed soon after. He panted and heaved his lungs in panic as he felt the pace of the rape sped up by her desires to take his seeds inside of her body. His already hardened and throbbed penis began to leak more and more pre-cum before finally blowing his load inside of her body.

For about an hour or two, Anubis was held beneath the grip of 10 Lamias, milked and violated like a stud against his own will. Groaning from the experience he tried to regain his sense of balance but finding it was still a difficult task with the Lamias still on him holding him down. But by now they were tired, exhausted from the orgy they had. "Malaka… Neket iadet, I hope the boy is safe…" Anubis grumbled as he began to try and push them off, only to find that he was still too weak and exhausted to get them off of him at this point.

Meanwhile, in the room above Anubis's current location, Taiyou was still tied up by the Lamia who raped him, but they too had become exhausted and utterly knocked out by the orgy but he was still in a rather compromising form without clothes on him to cover his plundered dignity. He panted tiredly from the orgy he'd just been forced through, but slowly but surely his breathing settled. He was very tired and still weak from the crystals, but he felt some of his strength start to return.

As he began to steady his breathing and will his arms around as he saw fit, the chainlinks on his wrist and ankle cuffs clang against one another as he began to push himself up. He felt the Lamia still holding him down, and the chains held him in embarrassing state. He soon saw the crystals were beginning to fade and their lights die down, apparently they had spent all their power trying to hold him down. Taiyou looked down his rear and crotch where he saw the chainlinks apparently formed a sort of thin metal loincloth on his crotch that failed to hide his genitals.

As Taiyou was trying to break free, he felt his still sore crotch region holding him down by the sheer sensation of over sex with the Lamia. He began to push himself further and, crawling away on the sandy floor, dragging his body against the grains of sand that sting at his body.

Once he felt himself a decent distance away from the lamia, he painfully started to get up, and quickly got into somewhere they wouldn't see him immediately. First things first, he needed to get the shackles off or he wouldn't be able to regain his strength. Looking around, he found some discarded pieces of metal, and quickly found a small piece. Hoping it was right, he looked at his shackles, and saw a place for a key on it.

The object itself appeared to be a sort of utensil made of gold, a fork made of gold, he used its most outer pointy end and insert into the lock and began to work on it. He twist and turn rotated it a bit before feeling the lock loosen up slightly for him, soon enough, he found the lock finally came off and his wrists were free at last.

With free arms he was able to begin to unlock the collar on his neck and the other ankle shackles and the one holding his tail up. Once all his shackles were loose, he quickly leaned against a wall, breathing slowly as he felt his powers start to return. By this point, Taiyou himself was beginning to pick up a golden ceremonial golden Khopesh sickle sword and glanced back at the Lamia trio. "May the Hidden One walk you to the Afterlife." Taiyou uttered to the Lamia before rushing towards them and sweeping his blade, striking at them and slithered their throats.

With the trio of Lamia guarding him killed, he looked down the chasm and found Anubis to be buried underneath a mass of 10 Lamia, no doubt to his eyes, an orgies had taken place and Anubis was raped. A terrible sight that he was spared of witnessing but still had the horror of being raped himself.

Growling, he knew he had to get down and help him, but jumping down into a mass of Lamia would be utter stupidity. With that in mind, he had to find another way to get down without alerting all the snakes. Looking around, he couldn't see any other way, so with a sigh, he began climbing down, carefully using Rejuvenation to recreate parts of the wall so that they could serve as ledges for him to grab and get down. Eventually, he reached the bottom, and carefully jumped down. Now that he was closer, he could see Anubis struggling a bit, but he too had been shackled, and with the weight of the Lamia on him, found it hard to escape.

"Boy? Did they…? No wait, they did it already." Anubis remarked upon seeing Taiyou as he struggled to get himself out of the shackles that bind him. In the process he pushed the Lamia snake coils up slightly to pull his feet out, only to feel their weight and his aching groin preventing him from doing so. "Not the best sight I would like to find myself in." Said Anubis as he glanced up and noticed the Khopesh dagger Taiyou was holding and nodded his head to Taiyou and moved his index finger horizontally over his neck. The gesture was followed by him pointing at the Lamia mass on top of him with his index finger.

Taiyou seeing this was at first, creeped out by Anubis's readiness to outright murder his enemies, but knowing that they were abducted and RAPED, and the culprits were monsters and demonesses, Taiyou can hardly say no to Anubis's command. He looked back at the Lamia pile that were still too tired to fight and began to raise his Khopesh blade.

The slaughtering of the Lamia was followed at first by a flurry of actions, with blood splattering all over the place and the monsters rolled over twitching their bodies after being slain. Soon enough, Anubis was able pull himself out of the pile of Lamia and dusted himself up. "Are you hurt? Can you continue with me? We still have a serpent to slay." The Jackal deity asked Taiyou.

"I'm fine. Tired, and with a battered pride, but I'm fine," Taiyou sighed.

"Very well, keep up with me. That serpent will destroy the Necropolis with its wind alone." Anubis grunted as he got up to the tunnel shaft leading back up to the burial chamber with Taiyou as they began to climb out. Finding their way back out to the open was an easier task with the two being able to backtrack where they entered after recovering their equipment and tools.

Eventually once they were outside, Anubis and Taiyou saw that the wind was blowing over the sand dunes, grains of sand flew in the air and become a million tiny blades striking at the blocks of bricks that built the pyramids and Necropolis. "Prelude to a storm, Set Sutekh would be most furious of this impostor." Said Anubis as he climbed along the pyramid's wall.

Anubis would then lead Taiyou with him descending the pyramid, the two headed down one step at a time before finally landing on their feet feeling the sand blowing against their reformed clothes as the two headed in the Western direction where the wind was blowing the sand.

"It's definitely close. With how much its using Galestorm, I can feel the Brush Technique from here," Taiyou frowned.

This of course was an accurate assessment by Taiyou, only he didn't know just how accurate it was other than an educated guess, the cobra would spring up from beneath the sand that it burrow into and hissed at the duo. The serpent extended its frill and slither around sticking out its fork tongue and bared its fang.

The display was feral and predictable from serpents like it. Anubis himself was quick to make his dash around the serpent and held up his bow and arrows, already nocked and ready to fire. He let loose 5 arrows in a volley at the serpent, piercing its hides but have yet to kill it. The snake snapped at him, pecking the ground with its head as it struggled to kill Anubis before slithering around the pyramids to cover itself.

"You will not disturb the holy resting place, spawn of Apep!" Anubis shouted with chest thumping bravado as he began to chase the cobra on foot, he notched his arrows once again and aimed it at the serpent's head, firing another barrage of arrow at the snake's underbelly, seeing the arrows piercing its hides and lodging into its softer more vulnerable side.

"And you won't be using my powers to cause trouble anymore!" Taiyou added with a growl, executing a Power Slash at the spt the arrow was lodged in, causing a large gash to open up in the underbelly, the snake hissing in pain.

However, neither god let up, as both made use of the new opening. The serpent would soon see Anubis sprinting forward with a great fury equal to that of a desert storm, the jackal deity kicked up sand and dirt as he ran and pounce high into the air. He drew out his Conductor of Souls, slamming the blade down on the top of the cobra, burying the blade into its hides and piercing its nose. This caused the serpent to hiss out in pain, throwing its black smoggy blood around before it was able to throw Anubis away. As he rolled on the sand, Anubis quickly got back to his feet and shook like a dog, throwing sands off of his back.

"Boy! Take it now!" Anubis shouted to Taiyou who quickly took the opportunity to strike at the cobra's weaken state. He dashed across the desert sand and slammed his golden spear on the ground, channeling the power of lighting from the heavens, striking at the Cobra's wound on its head. The lighting strikes electrocuted the snake, leaving its head smoking. While stunned, the serpent was fixed in place leaving Taiyou with an opening as he lunged forward with his Sun Slayer sword, he drove the blade up its chin, striking at the brains of the serpent, causing the snake to shriek and hiss for a brief moment before rolling over and died on the sand.

With the serpent dead, Taiyou let out a sigh and pulled out the sword, and from the dead snake, a ball of light with the kanji for 'wind' appeared, and was soon absorbed back into Taiyou, the wolf feeling some more of his power return, and created a small gust of wind to confirm that Galestorm was now his again.

However, the thought of being free of trouble was far from their minds still. As Anubis walked towards Taiyou, a wall of sand was on their Western horizon, Anubis growled out knowing who that was and surely enough, a silhouette appeared out of the sandstorm. A tall figure with two pointy ears but these ears were long and elongated compared to Anubis's straight triangles.

The Was Scepter this figure held was notably different as well as he came out. Taiyou saw that this was a deity with an odd animal head, a long curve noise like that of an Aardvark and a jackal crossed together but it was covered by an iron mask with red tinted lenses for the eyes. "Who dares steal my position as Ruler of the Storm?" The figure asked furiously as he came to them. "None, where were you when the wind blew with fury sans your permit?" Anubis remarked to the figure as he came to them. Taiyou saw the deity was huffing at Anubis and was visibly furious at him the most. "Don't ask me about my whereabouts! BOY! Let's not forget how I have to keep those Malakai Greeks in Fayum under control. That's to say nothing of the Nubians and Hyksos." Said the deity with his index finger pointing at Anubis.

Taiyou looked back at the deity and soon realized who it was. "You're...Set Sutekh, right?" Taiyou asked slowly. "I'm terribly sorry about the trouble, but the cause of it was a fragment of my power that had been stolen. We've taken it back, so there won't be anymore problems here," he said respectfully.

"Who are you supposed to be, Boy? Are you supposed to be someone of importance to question me?" Set asked demandingly to Taiyou, growling and snarling to him with an insane glare in his eyes. "If you wish for a diplomatic crisis, then you'll regret my wrath, old man!" Anubis remarked aggressively to Set causing the deity of Chaos to look again at Taiyou, noticing the red markings on his head. He immediately squinted his eyes in amazement before huffing out a frustrated growl. "So… the Prince of the Sun? You're a long way from home there. Care to explain Boy?" He glanced back at Anubis.

"Long story short, a snake problem, the corpses are for your scarab. Now if you excuse me, we're leaving for Alexandria." Said Anubis before grabbing Taiyou by his shoulder and led him away to the riverbank for safeties. As he did however, Set began to follow them, Taiyou felt that with every footsteps he made, Set followed him like the wind before rematerializing before their path. The God of Chaos would then escort them back to the riverbank, as he walked, he began to make a conversation with them. "Still neck deep in Hellenic Culture after all these years?" Set asked Anubis who shrugged it off and replied with a snark. "Still balls deep in self hatred?" He asked crudely.

"Hmmph! At least you manned up against me when the time came." He huffed out, however his voice soften somewhat as they walked as his mind began to trail off to something much more personal. "Her death was my own doing. Not yours, you shouldn't have taken it personally like you did. But if you didn't… you wouldn't have the guts to drive a sword into me given the chance." Set stated to Anubis, apparently cluing Taiyou into the more disturbing things that they have went through when they were younger. Not much pretty from the wordings.

"How's Fayum?" Anubis asked coldly to Set. "Same as always since you left. The Greeks came to an oasis, they built towns, import industries and artisans to it. Occasionally buying up farms and more lands than the lots they're allowed. So I have to stir up trouble between them and the natives, riots, pillages, protests. Nothing out of the ordinary with a few deaths every now and then to keep their heads in the game." Said Set in a blunt manner as he saw Anubis and Taiyou boarded their ship again before he cleared his throat out to them.

"Weren't you two going to say something?" He asked grumpily to them. Hearing this, Anubis sighed out before turning back to face Set and crossed his arms, "See you again… soon enough." Said Anubis, this cold and painfully arbitrary reply by Anubis was no surprises to Set seeing that his "Son" was not fond of seeing him in the first place. "Fair enough. What about you? Boy? Are you going to crawl back to where you come from?" Set asked cruelly to Tayou.
