Hey so I'm back! Sorry for the wait, but although I know what I'm doing for this story; I didnt know what to do for this chapter. As I dont want to rush into the big fight too soon. So it took a while for me to figure out what to do. So in this chapter I decided to explore the relationships between Naruto Sasuke and Sakura as this is a SasuSaku story :) so here it is xxx
Sakura's heart sunk to the floor at Madara's happy grin on his face. That meant he had captured the eight tails. Madara looked back and forth from Deacon to Sakura and smirked at Sasuke glaring at Deacon's hand on the small of Sakura's back. Madara tutted "Should have got there first hmm Sasuke?" Madara scolded. Sasuke glared at him. "Well there's still hope hmm. Tell you what I'll give you some advice, suck on her earlobe. Chick's love it. They would do anything for you if you do it. Trust me. I've done it loads of times and it hasn't failed yet." Madara joked. Sasuke looked unimpressed, but stored the information in his mind, just in case he needed it.
At that moment Naruto walked into the room, surprise written all over his face "You're back already?" he questioned Madara. Madara smirked arrogantly "Of course! The eight tails' was easier to capture than I thought he would be. Especially with his brother fighting me too. Phew he was fast. But not fast enough!" Madara boasted. He then gestured to Deacon "Speaking of the eight tails, he's not being very cooperative. I need you to go and persuade him a little bit, as I am performing the ritual tomorrow." Madara said coyly. Deacon smirked happily, he could have a little fun now. Naruto, Sasuke and Sakura stiffened. "So soon?" Sakura questioned, a lump forming in her throat. "Of course. The eight tails was hiding in Kumogakure with his brother A. By now all of the shinobi nations, will be aware that I have the last two demons and will try to stop me." Madara said darkly. "So you're afraid that there going to stop you?" Sakura pondered. Madara laughed "Of course not! No one can defeat me! I just want to give everyone a surprise when they try to attack me and I whip out the ten tails and they realise it's too late!" Madara explained laughing gleefully at the prospect.
Sakura looked at Madara in disgust "You're despicable!" she insulted. Madara shrugged "Perhaps I'll grow on you?" he said suggestively. Sakura snorted "I'd prefer cancer." She retaliated, and with that turned on her heel and stormed out of the room. Madara laughed "Oooh feisty one that is! Better watch yourself Sasuke she'll be hard to tame." Madara instructed. Sasuke scowled, at him but Madara had already disappeared from the room. Naruto looked angrily at Sasuke "What was that supposed to mean?" he interrogated. Sasuke just blanked him and walked out of the room, but Naruto's firm grip on his arm stopped him "You like Sakura don't you?" Naruto said questionably. "Hn. No." Sasuke replied blankly. "Liar!" Naruto accused. "I wouldn't even think about it Sasuke. If you so much as touch her! I'll..."Sasuke smirked at him shoving him against the wall "You'll what? You're not jealous are you?" he asked arrogantly. Naruto snarled at him "Of course I'm jealous I love Sakura! Something you could never do. So I suggest you stay away from her. And in case you haven't noticed she hates you. You've put her through so much. Why do you want her now and not when she was willing to give you everything?" Naruto questioned angrily. Sasuke just gave him a look of indifference "Hn" was his reply, as he released Naruto and continued to walk back to his room. Naruto glared angrily at his back.
Sakura sat thoughtfully in front of the Koi pond in the Uchiha's mansions garden. It was once probably very beautiful, but it now showed years of neglect. Childishly Sakura took her shoes and socks off and dipped her feet into the pond. Basking in the peacefulness. But her bliss wasn't to last long as a shadow engulfed her small frame and a dark chakra loomed over her. Tilting her head up she was met with two inky black pools.
"Sasuke." She greeted politely, but turned her attention back to the pond and ignored him. Sasuke's eyes narrowed "No 'kun'?" he mocked. Sakura shook her head "Nope no suffix." She stated plainly. Sasuke narrowed his eyes further "And why not?" he questioned angrily. "Well, people tend to use suffixes out of respect or love for someone. And you don't fit into any of those categories." Sakura said, still not looking him in the eye.
"Really? Hn. You've changed" Sasuke stated. Sakura scoffed "No shit Sherlock." She replied sarcastically. "Why?" Sasuke demanded. "Because I grew up and got stronger. I am not that little weak girl any more that constantly fawned over you. Nor will I ever be!" Sakura stated confidently. "Hn. Shame I rather missed her." Sasuke said truthfully, he did miss the way she used to try and constantly gain his attention and practically worship him.
Sakura stood up, brushing dirt off of her angrily "Did you want something Sasuke?" Sakura asked, clearly irritated. "Yes." Came Sasuke's blunt reply. Sakura looked at him questionably "Well? Care to enlighten me?" she asked snarkily. "Why have you been avoiding me?" Sasuke demanded. Sakura looked at him exasperated "Gee I don't know! Oh yeah I remember! I poured my heart out to you and you knocked me out and left me on a bench for a paedophile. You've made it obvious you don't give a damn about me and Naruto, so why should I try and talk to you? You've tried to kill Naruto and me numerous times. You joined the Akutsuki and attacked the village! Does that answer your question?" Sakura shouted hysterically. Sasuke inwardly flinched at her words, but didn't show it. "If I recall correctly, you where the one trying to kill me that time! And besides I wasn't really going to kill you, I was just going to knock you out." Sasuke replied in his defence. Sakura threw her arms up "Bullshit! You came at me with a sword! And I was going to kill you, so you wouldn't kill Naruto or destroy Konoha." Sakura shouted.
Sasuke's aura went really dark, it suffocated her. "Do you love Naruto?" Sasuke bit out. Sakura seemed taken aback by the question, she paused for a few seconds "Yes." She answered confidently. "You're lying. Even worse you're lying to yourself. You don't really love Naruto." Sasuke stated. Sakura glared at him "And what do you know about love Sasuke?" Sakura questioned, but she didn't deny what Sasuke had said. Sasuke just smirked at her "You can't deny it Sakura. You still love me." He said arrogantly. Then suddenly his gaze landed on her pink pouty lips, he leaned in and was just about to seize those luscious lips, when he received a punch to the face. He recoiled, quickly, clutching his nose in pain. Sakura glared at him "You bastard! I will never love you! Who the hell do you think you are, trying to kiss me? You can't just toy with me because you feel like it Sasuke! You are lucky Madara is here watching our every move, because if he wasn't, I would have used chakra and smashed that pretty face of yours into pieces!" Sakura seethed angrily. Not even giving him a glance she stormed back into the house.
Madara revealed himself from the shadow's chuckling "You should have sucked her earlobe." He scolded shaking his head disappointed in Sasuke. Sasuke glared at him "Where you spying on us?" he asked angrily. Madara grinned "Of course I was! I have to make sure that you're not going to betray me." Madara said darkly. Sasuke glared at him and walked back into the house.
Sakura kept clenching and unclenching her fists. She was so tempted to kiss him. If it wasn't for inner Sakura telling her to punch his face in, she probably would have. What was wrong with her? She loved Naruto right? Didn't she? Why was Sasuke suddenly interested in her anyway? Sakura paused hesitantly in front of Naruto's door. After a while of collecting herself she knocked on the door. "Come in!" came the voice from inside. Sakura still couldn't get over how grown up and manly Naruto now was. As she stepped into his room she smiled sadly at him. Naruto saw this and looked at her concerned "What's wrong Saskura?" he asked gently, not demanding like Sasuke. She smiled fakely again "Oh nothing Naruto. It's just it's your last day today and I'm never going to see you again." Sakura said, she didn't know if Naruto would make it tomorrow or not. What if something went wrong?
Naruto played along with her "Don't worry about me Sakura. As long as you live and you're safe I'll be happy." Naruto said warmly, taking her into a warm, safe embrace. Sakura's arms curled around his torso, her nose buried in his chest, she could no longer reach the crook of his neck. She repeated over and over that she did love Naruto, he was kind, sweet, and loving and he would always keep her safe. He was nothing like Sasuke. He was everything she could ever wish for. Yet he was not. Sasuke was right, she had lied to herself that she loved Naruto, because he was the safe option. But although she hated Sasuke , she couldn't help but feel forever tied to him. She loved Sasuke, but she didn't want to. Sakura clutched Naruto closer "I love you Naruto." She whispered into his ear. He tensed and pulled away. "What's wrong?" Sakura asked worriedly. Naruto looked at her sadly "No you don't Sakura. At least not in that way. You belong with Sasuke. You always did." He said sorrowfully. Sakura shook her head in denial "No! I hate Sasuke. Im here with you, you're the one I want to be with!" Sakura pleaded. Naruto regarded her sadly "Maybe. But you can't deny it Sakura, no matter how much you persuade yourself that you love me and hate Saskue. You'll always be in love with him." Tears streamed down Sakura's face. She wiped them off and looked determidnlyey at Naruto "Your wrong and I'm going to prove it!" Sakura stated confidently.
Grasping Naruto's face in her arms, she kissed him with every ounce of passion she had. But Naruto pulled away "I can't Sakura. I loved you once romantically, but now I just love you as a sister." Naruto explained. Sakura pulled away sadly "I understand." She said remorsefully, she ran quickly out of Naruto's room to her own and locked the door behind her and sank mentally exhausted onto her bed.
