I hope this chapter is to everyone's liking and well comment and feel free to pm me for any guesses, trust me the whole outline is now done. (^_O).
It was well into the mid afternoon when the Captain of the Akuma Squad sat down in the middle of the Gaza awaiting his group to reunite again. As if on cue he spotted the twinkle of a lip chain, long blue hair, and red headed fool trotting their horses over to him.
"Well then, anything?" The trio by now was too exhausted to utter a word, they merely shook their heads and awaited further instructions. "Well then I guess we have to move on to the next town."
"What about the other two?" Kanzaki ran his hand through his short hair.
"Yeah, we can't just take off without them can we?" Tojo spit to the side but leaned in almost as if hoping to leave the idiot behind.
Kunieda had a horrible night, followed by a dreadful morning, and it was not the hottest hour of the day and her mind was now beyond caring about the demon fighter and his companion.
"Yeah yeah, you know him though whenever it's time to leave he'll appear….and low and behold." Behind the first three members Saotome spotted two more royal horses carrying a refreshed looking Oga and a very serious looking Hilda hiding beneath her pink parisol.
"Yo." Oga held up his hand to greet his group.
Saotome looked at him in irritation. "Care to explain where you two ran off to?" Oga didn't seem interested in answering his question and simply circled his finger round signaling "around."
"I searched the farmlands from the mountain villages to the river front villages." The group turned to her in shock.
"Th…Th…There's no way you could have done that in just one day!" Kunieda stuttered in her disbelief. "You couldn't have checked so many places by yourself."
"It's quite simple." Hilda closed her eyes and readjusted the parasol on her shoulder. Kunieda just couldn't help but find irritation in anything that woman said. "I simply observed the women and looked for any indication of odd behavior."
"Did you ask around and interact with the villagers?" Saotome lit a cigarette silently thanking his luck for having brought along the one person that might be of help on such an absurd mission.
"As little as possible sir, after all if I gave my position away I would have risked having them change their natural behavior."
The group looked to Hilda with praise and admiration, not one of them had even considered the possibility that they themselves may have been the cause for there being no leads on the target.
"Ahh, see Tojo." Kunieda glared at the clueless man who looked back with an expression that clearly meant he had no idea why she was upset. "If you hadn't harassed all those girls they wouldn't have run away and would have acted as normal as possible."
"But it's a demon right so wouldn't she look weird and stuff?"
"THAT'S ENOUGH!" The group looked at their commanding officer. "Do not speak so openly in the open. Now mount!" Saotome's rarely used stern tone was enough to snap the group back into ranks. They mounted quickly and awaited further instructions. Saotome mounted as well and silently led his troop out of the village and headed down the road to the next town.
The road to the next town was quiet to say the least. Everyone was tired or irritable, the women riding behind Saotome kept their gaze straight and averted looking in each other's direction. Kunieda wanted nothing more than to just head back to the castle to be amongst her sisters, Hilda wanted the extra pay and to be left alone. Saotome was positively giddy at the thought of giving the girls a private room, Kunieda being ever vigilant of the company around her caught the lecherous gleam in his eyes and cringed at the thought of sharing a room with him again.
Farther back the boys could be heard whispering amongst themselves.
"You two teamed up then?" Kanzaki lifted and eyebrow suggesting much more in his words.
Oga just looked at him from the side. "Nah, it's just a coincidence we got here at the same time."
"Come on man, you take us for fools?" Tojo trotted closer to the Oga and gave him a light punch on the arm. He leaned in closer to Oga, "is she good?"
Kanzaki leaned in on the other side as well. "Are they as soft as they look?"
The boys were incredibly irritated when Oga simply brushed them off and tried to ride a bit faster away from them.
"Tch you're a selfish bastard you know." Tojo spit out. "While we're all wasting time with the mission, you got to roll around with your sexy wife."
"She's not my….oof?" Oga narrowed his eyes at the red haired oaf.
"ARGH, why do you get all the luck huh! You're a not good thug but you're best friends with the king, you're a shit for brains but you got the hottest woman in the red tails in your bed!"
"I told you it's not like…" Oga couldn't get any more words in when Saotome proclaimed the next town was in the horizon and started spouting out the strategy for that town. This time emphasizing that the group was to meet back up at the town square at sundown or be left behind this time; that was of course directed toward Oga.
It was close to sundown and Kunieda had already made it back to the meeting place, her calm features masking a great deal of irritation at the turn of events; not only did she have to stay partnered to Tojo but she had lost in not too long ago when he chased after a girl with bucked teeth that he believed was a sign she was a demon but now it seems that news of the trouble making soldiers had reached this village before they had even set foot in the gates.
"Alright that's it this mission is bust." The blue haired girl jumped and turned around in alarm.
"Commander Saotome, did you find anything?"
"How, when everyone came running over to me to tell me that the king's guards have been seen harassing the women." Saotome took a deep breath trying to regain control of himself before he picked a fight with the next idiot that crossed his path.
"Hey Commander!" A spikey haired blond with various piercings strolled up and quickly dismounted. "I'm sick and tired of being called a dog of the king."
"Yeah, yeah, I heard it all too." Saotome seemed to be at his wits ends and it had only been the second town they visited.
"How did they even know we were from the king?" The trio turned to see Tojo had joined in looking as confused as ever.
"TOJO, WHERE IN THE SEVEN HELLS DID YOU RUN OFF TO!" Upon seeing his carefree face, Kunieda became livid.
"You were taking too long talking to that old hag so I went after this one girl that was walking kinda funny." Kunieda covered her frustration with her hand and silently prayed to the gods for the strength to not choke this man in his sleep.
"You moron, she had a splint because she had broken her leg, how many times did I have to tell you that!" The two began a small round about argument and only added to the throbbing pain building up in the commander's head.
"OYE, OLD MAN I WON'T LET YOU LEAVE ME BEHIND THIS TIME!" The commander recognized that irritating baritone voice anywhere, and his throbbing now escaladed to a full blown migraine.
'Great, just what I need now.'
"Quit yelling like a child, boy." Saotome didn't bother to turn to see Oga galloping at almost full speed to meet up with the group.
Kunieda smiled a bit at his childish antics, but her smile quickly waned when she noticed a familiar blond that was casually riding up behind him her tranquil expression gave her the look of a beautiful princess that road through town, and this added even more irritation her to her mood.
"Well, since you two took the time to meet up with us it must mean that at least Hilda found something right?" Saotome offered his hand for Hilda to dismount her horse but when ignored by the blond who jumped off her mare with a practiced ease.
"Appologies, I found nothing on my investigation." Saotome's lip twitched visibly.
"Let me guess, they all knew about us?"
Hilda finally cracked her green eye open and looked at her commanding officer with a surprised expression. "Yes, from the wood cutter's to the dock workers."
"You sure do cover a lot of ground." The commanding officer finally decided it was time to light up. "Thanks to these fine gents here, half the world knows what we're up to."
"Can we get to the inn already sir, I could go for a bath already." Kanzaki looked at no one in particular but began to casually pick straw from his peasant clothing.
"Yeah, I could go for more of that season's meat we had at the other inn." Tojo was already witling away at another soft piece of wood he took from his saddle bag.
"You guys stayed at an inn with a bathhouse?" Oga looked much more irritated now.
Kanzaki's smile almost dripped with malicious intent. "Yep, we stayed at a real cozy place where they brought us some of the purest sake you could have ever tasted." The pierced blond draped his arm over the fighter's shoulders. "But the best part of all had to be the delicious five course meal with meet, and mountain vegetables, right Red Tail?" Oga turned a hateful look at the woman.
Under his scrutinizing gaze Kunieda could feel her knees buckle and she nervously waved her hands in defense. "The food wasn't that good really."
"Hmph, says the glutton that had three whole helpings." Tojo nudged the blue haired girl making her blush profusely and turn from the group trying to hide her guilt from Oga.
Oga's face was now unreadable, though his back was straight and his face proudly shown, there was no trace of emotion on his hardened features. The two comrades continued to laugh and regale of the wonderful inn their kind commander had provided for them.
The commander had had enough and gave the group the signal to mount immediately and follow. He noted that Oga had been quietly obeying, and had not yet retaliated to the two obnoxious men that kept poking at him. Looking to the rest of the group Kunieda and Hilda were actually in deep conversation which made the hair on the back of the commander's head neck stand on end. Something was definitely brewing, something major was going to happen, the vein that threatened to pop on his forehead told him so. The group made it to a moderately priced inn and he immediately asked for accommodations with two rooms.
Just when Saotome thought that maybe that it would be a very peaceful night, that annoying gruff voice broke the peace once again.
"OLD MAN!" Saotome let out a sigh and took a gulp of his sake. Before he knew it, the head strong oaf was slamming his palms on his tray. "This place is like a palace!"
"Nah, the one we stayed in last night was a palace, this is alright." Kanzaki was played a game of shogi with Tojo but both grinned at the reaction of their comrade.
"Last time too!" Oga's face showed his immediate shock.
"You got a problem with it?" Saotome was in no mood anymore.
"I had to camp in the woods and eat what I fished last night and you guys were in the lap of luxury!"
"Like I said boy, you shouldn't have broken the ranks like that AND you were the one that didn't come back to check back in with the group; so don't go throwing a tantrum over that."
"Pft…it aint a tantrum old man! It just aint fair that you all got the start treatment and we got to…"
"Oga, don't tell me you're all man cuz you had to be a man and ruff it for a bit…" Tojo was poking Oga's cheek at this point really testing his limit with the soldier. Oga took the bait and immediately threw a right hook at the red head. "Can't take a joke!"
"SHUT THE HELL UP!"
"Well I can see why Oga would be so mad, I mean it's not every day a peasant like you can eat and sleep in a swanky place like this." Kanzaki stretched out on the tatami mat with a smug look. The blond haired soldier was about to reach for his drink when he felt the weight of a boulder fall on him, braking the shogi board and tossing the sake all over the floor.
"OGA IF YOU DON'T…" Before Saotome could regain control of the situation Kanzaki returned the favor by throwing Tojo's limp body back toward Oga and effectively throwing them both through the screen that was supposed to separate the common room from the girl's bed room.
"Ugh, I can't believe I had to be assigned to a mission with these morons." Kunieda immediately gathered her things and headed for the bath, she stopped for a brief moment and looked back at Hilda.
'What is Hilda staring at…?' Kunieda gave the blonde a careful look and noticed that she was intently watching the fight, however her eyes didn't seem to have their natural glossy shine, her gaze was almost dull as if not really watching at all. Her face looked calm but Kunieda could tell that she was tense all over. "Hilda?"
At the sound of her name Hilda let out a breath she didn't know she was holding, she rubbed her eyes that seemed to be stinging her a bit and looked to her squad sister.
"…umm..err…want to…join….me in the baths?" Hilda looked from Kunieda to the fight and back before silently nodding and gathering her things to follow the girl out.
The girls made it to the outdoor baths and Hilda was now completely confused. She silently watched the blue haired girl take the lead and did she Kunieda did, it seemed it was customary to shower then sit in a relaxing hot spring. When the two sat in the hot spring Kunieda made the very irritating discovery that unlike her Hilda was not wrapped in a towel to cover herself.
'Damn, she really is big, she's just rubbing it in now!' "So Hilda, did you forget your towel?"
"No, it was too small to wrap around my chest."
'BITCH!'
"...Oohhh…I see…"
"As I was saying, we may be going about this mission all wrong."
"Yes, I can see your point."
"And now that our presence is known it will be even harder."
"You're right."
The girls sat in silence and neither really looked at each other, even during their brief small talk they kept their gazes away from each other.
'I should ask you about Oga…I mean what's the worst that could happen?' Kunieda took in a deep breath trying to calm her thoughts. 'Are you an idiot, why do you even want to know about that idiot!' Kunieda was now playing with the hem of her towel at her legs, and did not even notice Hilda fidgeting around uncomfortably.
"So, is it true that you have no memories of your past?"
"Correct."
"So…do you know how old you are?"
"No. The Dr. mentioned that I should be around 16."
'16 and you look like that!' "Oh, I see. . . . Do you plan to start a family soon?"
"I haven't really given that any thought."
"Oh then …"
"I just work to help the family that took me in."
"The Dr. right in Krassmore?"
"Yes."
The girls sat in an akward silence again.
"So no husband then right?" Hilda gave her a look that said both confused and intrigued. "Husband, you know a man to share your life with and have a family with?"
"As I said, I haven't given that much thought."
'Well, this could mean that they're all just rumors right?'
"Hilda, are you and…" Suddenly Hilda stood up exposing her nude body and stunning Kunieda in mid sentence.
"I'm very dizzy." Hilda was holding her head and shakily walked out of the hot spring and back into the locker. She tried to dry herself off as best she could but with her breathing so erratic she was having trouble focusing.
"Are you alright?" Kunieda watched her dress in record time and tried to make it back to the room. "No, we have a separate room, Hilda began to stagger a bit more and slumped toward the pillar. "Let me help you…" Kunieda tried to reach for Hilda's arm but upon hearing Kunieda address her Hilda turned around and made the blue haired girl jump successfully making her trip on the tip of her kimono and making her fall forward on the dizzy blonde.
Both girls fell to the ground with a hard thump, Kunieda let out a loud scream and before long the sounds of hard footsteps could be heard. It was seconds before the commander, Kanzaki and Tojo all ran out to the hallway to see Kunieda's face buried in the partially exposed bossom of Hilda who now lay on the floor holding her head in pain.
Tojo held his nose and tried his best to look away but his neck was just not responding to him, while Kanzaki had a hard look in his eyes.
"Can't even wait to get into the room aye?" Saotome took a hard drag on a cigarette before offering Kunieda a hand to help her get up.
"Shuddup!" Kunieda slapped the pervert's hand away and managed to sit on her heels, following Saotome's gaze she noticed her kimono had been pulled low and opened a bit when she tripped. Hilda also quickly covered her chest away from the hungry eyes of the cat calling men.
"Alright alright, everyone get a hold of themselves, we all knew the Red Tails were a little too hard core sisterly to be interested in any of us right boys?" Saotome laughed and nudged Tojo a bit who seemed a bit confused at the joke.
"Well I'd hate to take up any more of your time boys, but I'm sure you all just can't wait to huddle up together in that little room of yours." Kunieda walked into the room that had been reserved for the girls was shocked to find a badly beaten Oga fixing the screen that the boys had previously broken.
Hilda walked in behind Kunieda and froze stiff in her tracks when she laid her eyes on him. Oga had just finished putting in the screen with many roughly made patches, his eye was a bit swollen as was his lip but what really caught the blonde's attention was the faint trace of blood that trickled down his chin and had even stained the front of his shirt. Upon seeing the crimson liquid staining his face her heart practically skipped a beat, she could feel her head begin to real and her body was a mess of energy. Hilda locked eyes with the tan soldier but his eyes held only anger and irritation in them, they did not really see the woman that sought his attention.
"Finish that up boy, the ladies need their privacy!"
"Yeah yeah, I'm done you son of a…"
"What was that Oga? Is the stable too good for you then?" Saotome leaned on the doorway not really looking at anything in particular. "Well if you're done then get your ass to the stable."
"The stable?" Kunieda asked.
"Yeah, if you're going to act like a beast then you're place is in the stables with the beasts. Right boy?"
"Fuck you!" Oga stood and took long stride's trying to get out of everyone's sight as fast as possible, when he passed by Hilda he averted his eyes and continued out of the room and down the hall. His heavy steps could be heard as he walked over to the side of the inn.
The boys could be heard laughing even from their room and though they looked to be in even worse condition than Oga, their spirits were obviously much higher.
"Oh commander, Hilda had a very good observation about the mission that we must discuss with you."
"Oh, and what's that?" The two looked over to Hilda who seemed to be unfocused yet again.
"I don't feel well, I'll entrust my thoughts with you Aoi. Good night." Kunieda gave her fellow sister a worried look but decided it would be best to just leave her alone, after all it would be odd to suddenly worry over her love rival.
'Ugh…she isn't a love rival!'
"Yeah, good night then, Kunieda follow me."
"Yes sir." The two left the blonde alone in the room and returned to the common room.
Alone in the dark room, Hilda stumbled over to a futon and laid down over the covers; not even bothering to fix her kimono back into its proper place. She could hear the light murmurs in the distance of what she assumed to be Kunieda discussing her observations to the commander but she could not make out what they were saying, nor did she care. Hilda's mind remained unfocused, and her body was betraying her once more.
'…his blood…' the temperature in the room was stifling, she could not find a comfortable pose in which to lay to rest. Hilda couldn't relax, her body felt energized, willing, longing. She shifted in her bedding every so often hoping that she would find a way to ease herself into slumber, but it was never found and so she continued to fidget tangling herself in her kimono, the cloth was uncomfortable and suffocating. Hilda's hands had begun tugging at the material, caressing the exposed flesh that felt burning hot to the touch.
'...I…must…'
Though her mind remained in a light haze, her thoughts of seeing the fighter urged her body to seek out relief. With unsteady legs Hilda arose from the bed and silently made her way down the winding corridors and outside to the next structure.
Oga laid in a make shift bed of hay with his arms behind his head, his face in a deep scowl brooding over his bitter displeasure at being thrown out like a common dog. He shared the space with his horse in the last stall and made light conversation with the calm animal but tonight it seemed that even his trusted friend had no words of comfort for him. The stables were dark now and the only sounds were that of horse taking a step or breathing deeply fast asleep.
"Tch…I didn't sign up for this mission to sleep outside…" Oga touched his lip with his thumb checking to see if it had stopped bleeding, it had but the rough callus on his thumb was enough to rip it open to bleed anew.
"Shit."
The calm night sounds were now interrupted with the loud squeak of the heavy barn door opening slightly, followed by the sound of careful footsteps. Oga's mind was quickly on alert, holding his breath so as not to miss a sound. The light footsteps seemed to come closer and Oga began to contemplate getting up to glimpse at whom the intruder might be, but before he could make up his mind the horse in the next stall gave a content neigh before settling down again. Intrigued, Oga sat up and leaned over to peek at who had come in. Looking down he noticed pale bare feet that came to stop at the entrance of the stall, Oga's eyes slowly traveled up taking in the long slender legs covered by the thin material of her kimono that remained closed with a tightly tied sash accentuating an hourglass figure, his dark eyes traveled higher still and gave a small gasp when he noticed perfectly large pale breasts slightly peeking out of the same kimono making his pants suddenly tighten uncomfortably. Oga licked his lips, ignoring the sting of licking the wound at the corner, he admired the beautiful woman enjoying the rare sight of her blond hair cascading down her back.
"Come to make fun of me woman?" Oga waited for Hilda to retort as always but when she remained silent he quickly lost interest. He laid back in the hay once more ignoring that his bulge could be seen if he did and rested his hands behind his head once more. "If you're here to look down on me just get the hell out already." Oga winced having aggravated his lip again and spat out the blood that had spilled into his mouth.
The scent of copper reached the blonde, her entire being pulsed suddenly gaze was now fixed on that one red spot, and she began to salivate. She could see Oga was about ready to really yell at her but before he could even think of the next insult she was at his side on her knees.
"…Hilda…" Oga could see the lustful look in her eyes but he could also see she was behaving rather oddly. He hadn't moved an inch waiting to see what the crazy woman would do next. He felt a soft hand caress his cheek lightly while the other rested on his chest. He watched her come close to him, she was not so close he felt her breath on his lips. He grew irritated with her slow movements and wondered why she was acting so coy. It was driving him utterly insane.
Hilda finally leaned in and gave the crimson liquid a lick. The copper taste now danced on the tip of her tongue, she swallowed, closing her eyes she savored the taste of Oga's blood. "…Tatsumi…" she whispered.
Oga's eyes widened, though he had always called her by her first and only name, this was the first he'd heard her call him by his. This seemed different that night. For whatever reason this was not the same Hilda he knew, but he did not hate it; what he did hate however was how slow she was moving. As if reading his mind Hilda suddenly smashed her lips against Oga's, immediately invading his mouth with her tongue her roughness making the crimson liquid pour into her.
Oga could taste the blood but, the sweet flavor of her mouth was what he was really focused on. His hands finally left his head and began to tear away at the flimsy kimono that she wore, once bare he pulled her over him to sit on his throbbing lap. Hilda began to claw at Oga's belt with equaled ferocity, he winced with a loud hiss as his painfully hardened member was freed from its confinement. Wasting no time he lifted her by the waist and impaled her onto him. Both relished the moment as the connection between them was made; They immediately began a desperate rhythm that made Hilda's ample breasts bounce with each violent trust. The sounds of flesh slapping together was drowned out only by the moans and grunts of pleasure; the horses occasionally shifting in their stalls when the cries suddenly became high pitched.
Hilda's hands pressed onto the hard pectorals of the man beneath her, her fingertips roughly scratching at the heated skin leaving little crescent marks. Oga returned the favor at the blonde's hips, gripping the creamy skin as he thrust up to her going as deep as possible into her warm canal. The fire that had been building up in the pit of Hilda's stomach was threatening to erupt now, she could feel that familiar high coming nearer, the feeling only intensified when Oga's rough hand reached up to take a hand full of the bouncing breasts that taunted him and tugged at the pert pink nipple twisting lightly.
Hilda arched her back instinctively into his hands, her mewls and moans encouraged the soldier to continue his assault on her body. He wrapped his arm around her waist and pulled her down to take the neglected breast to his mouth. His tongue darting out to flick at the hardened nub before taking it into his mouth and sucking on the soft flesh, lightly scrapping his teeth on the tips to intensify Hilda's cries. Every hitched breath, every roll of her hip, every delicious moan that escaped those perfect pouting lips, drove Oga further into madness. Hilda could feel him pulsing from deep within her, growing slighter thicker allowing him to hit that very sensitive place over, and over, it was overwhelming.
He could tell she was on the verge of her first orgasm by excess of juices coupled by the tightening of her walls around his searing flesh; he bit down on her breasts continuing his suckling while his free hands came around to grip her backside. With just a couple more powerful thrusts her body arched forward, her arms enveloping Oga's head, her thighs tightened around his waist, but what excited the man all over again was the sound of his name escaping those swollen lips once more.
"TATSUMI…GYAAA….TATSUMI…" Her tone was laced with the lust that clouded her emerald eyes. Oga pulled away from her now reddened nipple and looked up, even with her features dabbed with sweat she was too beautiful. Oga released his hold on her rear only to tangle his hand in her lose golden locks and brought her down to ravenously take her lips once more. She moaned into his mouth, Oga took the chance to enter her mouth and explored it as if it were the first time he'd ever tasted such a sweet nectar. Oga pulled her to him and all at once rolled them over, he laid her on her back on the bed of hay beneath him never severing the connection. The vigorous rhythm was started anew, Oga lifted one of her legs up allowing him better access and plunged into her to the brim. His broke off the kiss with low growls that Hilda could feel through the vibration his chest smashed against hers.
…creak…
Oga could have sword that he heard the stable door being moved but the feeling of being inside his lover pushed the thought far away. He looked down at her face, brows furrowed in enjoyment of sinful pleasure, his hand absentmindedly brushed away the messy fringe that kept half her face covered to reveal an identically mesmerizing emerald colored eye clouded in lust for him. He felt her hands roam his chiseled body, running up and down his pectorals and abdominals. Finally her arms encircled his chest and as the coil began to tighten a second time. Oga could feel his own coil threatening to burst soon. He pounded into her harder, faster. Her nails digging into his back breaking the skin allowing more of the crimson liquid to escape the wounds trickling over his shoulder and dripping to stain the lips of the woman below him.
Hilda's tongue licked the red drops from her lips, moaning at the sensation of the copper taste entering her body. Her body now feverish and full of electricity, it threatened to pull her apart at the seams. She was in true exstacy.
"Tatsumi…I need to …AAHHH….oh…come with me…" Her hips bucked against his thrusts adding to the delicious friction. A few more thrusts and Oga felt her walls tighten around his flesh and her gasping mewl tickled his ear.
"Hnn…Hilda…" Oga felt his own climax wash over him, with a last powerful thrust he spilled himself deep within her. His body shook with light tremors from the sudden burst of nirvana throughout his body, yet the only thing his eyes would focus on was the same emotion reflected in the face of the one beneath him. His arms threatened to give out from exhaustion so reluctantly he severed their connection and collapsed in the hay space beside the blonde.
Hilda whimpered slightly at the feeling of emptiness at the loss of contact. She allowed herself to enjoy the warmth of the man beside her while she regained her breath. Feeling the moment had passed she sat up to gather her kimono that had been carelessly tossed onto the floor, she wrapped it around her body and tied the sash to keep it in place but when she tried to stand to leave she was pulled back to fall onto the same man that had ripped it off in the first place.
"Stay tonight…" His voice was low like a whisper. She looked at him carefully before nodding and relaxing into his side, using his shoulder as a pillow. Hilda felt exhausted, and her head still was not clearing the fog that clouded her mind, in a few short breaths she was fast asleep.
Back in the common room, Kunieda and Commander Saotome had been in deep discussion over the new developments.
"Sir, if what Hilda predicts is indeed true then how would be continue the search for this woman?" Kunieda was sitting across from the three men.
"Well, I'll admit that none of us had even considered the possibility of the demon woman behaving completely normal, it just seemed much more natural that she would seem … out of place…" Saotome took a drag of his cigarette.
"Well, I never did find a woman that had a tail or could do any kind of weird stuff." Tojo was scratching his head.
"Nevermind, tomorrow we head back to the castle." The three cheered lightly all pleased with this mission being tossed aside.
"Is it really ok to return empty handed?" Kunieda asked.
"Well, we aren't not trying our best and with your new thoughts on it, well, it seems like a waste of time."
"Hmph, just get me home already, gotta make sure the old man hasn't kicked the bucket yet." Kanzaki stood and stretched to come inside to find his futon.
"You mean get back to a certain tanned girl." Tojo snickered and Kunieda smiled at her close friend's fortune with love.
"You don't gotta be jealous just 'cuz I got someone waiting for me." Kanzaki retorted with a devious smirk.
"Keh, I don't get the luxury of inheriting a whole clan if I marry so I don't need to be jealous to have to deal with a banshee from the Red Tails."
"Who are you calling a Banshee!" Kunieda turned herself around half standing ready to challenge Tojo.
"Alright everyone settle down now." Saotome put out his cigarette and set the game aside. "Now everyone get some sleep we head back as soon as we search the next town, just in case."
"Yes Sir." Kunieda was the first to stand and retire to her private women's only quarters. Carefully she slid the screen open and stepped inside, mindful of her sleeping roommate. She made her way to the unoccupied futon on the other side of the room. She had to carefully cross the floor, unfortunately for her she had forgotten she had left her wooden sword and tripped with a loud yelp and landed right on the futon where Hilda would have been sleeping on.
"Huh…empty?" Kunieda patted the area around her making sure there was no being in the bed. "But..I thought she…" Realization hit suddenly and she rushed out of the room and directly to the stables. She reached the large wooden doors and noticed it was already slightly ajar, carefully she stepped closer and closer. Upon reaching the door she held her palm flat on the door ready to open it to either confirm her suspicions or put her mind at ease.
"GYAAA….TATSUMI…"
The sound that came from just beyond the doors made the bluenette's blood turn ice cold. That noise, no matter how innocent the mind was unmistakable. That voice was unique in this stable, and that name was rare as it is. Taking a deep breath she opened the door and peeked inside, at the far end in the last stall she saw Hilda's nude body arched in ecstasy and Oga pulling her down to roll them over before continuing their activities. Her face burned with embarrassment and anger, not wishing to see anymore she ran back to the main inn and back into her dorm. Once she was sure that she was safe in her room sitting across from Hilda's empty bed she let out a hearty scream into her pillow.
"That bitch just faked the whole illness thing to get to him!" Kunieda was livid, to think that the blonde woman would stoop to such a low ruse just to seduce Oga. "I will never forgive her!"
That night sleep evaded the second in command of the famous female squad Red Tails, her mind could not stop thinking of ways to take revenge on her rival. Through the screen doors to the outside, Kunieda could tell that the sun was already peeking through the mountians, splashing the sky in soft colors and chasing away the darkness. Guessing by how much the commander and those other two idiots had to drink, it would still be hours before they were to leave the inn. Kunieda tossed and turned in her bed unable to find a comfortable position to relax her tense body.
The sounds of heavy footsteps could be heard walking down the hallway and Kunieda became alert once again. She reached for her sword and brought it close to her under the covers in case it should be an attacker.
"What sort of assassin would want to strike at dawn instead of the dead of night though?"
Lying in wait she pretended to be fast asleep and even covered her face with her long hair. She heard the screen door open and a person slowly walked in. Kunieda tensed in her bedding gripping her weapon should anything happen. Through the veil of her blue hair she noticed a familiar pair of boots had walked past her to the empty futon.
'Oga?'
Indeed it was the exiled soldier Oga, she was happy that her face was covered otherwise he would have been able to see the blush that crept over her face. Oga slowly crouched down next to the other bedding and looked around for a bit before lowering something into the bedding. Kunieda noticed he was being uncharacteristically tender with whatever it was he had placed down.
"Troublesome Woman…" Kunieda noticed the blonde hair that spilled over the pillow. Oga had brought Hilda to her bed. "Why would you come to me if you had a fever."
'Fever?' Kunieda watched Oga tuck the woman in, now able to clearly see her face she could see that pale look and flushed cheeks of a feverish person. Her mind was conflicted, if Hilda was in fact ill, why would she go to the barn for such a purpose? Oga bent down and touched his forehead with his own testing her temperature.
"Tch…I shouldn't have kept you out there." Oga stood up and walked over to a basin and cloth soaking it in the water. Kunieda could see Hilda's breath was ragged. Oga placed the wet cloth on her forehead and stayed by her side for a moment, morning's first light shone through the crack from the screen he had just come from revealing his slightly concerned face.
Kunieda didn't know what to do, she did not want to help her rival, but if she was sick then she did need help. Oga seemed conflicted as well, he was in punishment and was not allowed back into the inn by the commander and yet there he sat in the girl's room no less. The rest of the inn began to creek and rumble lightly, a sign the inn keepers were rising and getting ready to start the day. Oga's face now grew a bit more concerned, his attention kept shifting from the noises in the inn to Hilda. If Oga was caught here, he would risk suspension and not to mention the rumors that would surely arrive back to the squads before they even returned would be too humiliating to face.
Kunieda gave a loud sigh and, though she hatted to do it, decided she would lend a hand.
'Just this once.'
Kunieda stirred slowly, allowing Oga to notice she was now awake, yet startling him.
"Kunieda…I …" Kunieda held up her hand to silence him and shook her head as if to say 'no need.' She got out of her bed and moved over to Hilda and checked her over; indeed she was burning up as he feared. She took the cloth from her brow and went to refresh it in the basin.
"You will owe me big for this Oga," she came back and dabbed Hilda's skin with the cooled cloth to clean the sweat. "Now get going, before those morons see you."
Oga nodded to her and gave Hilda one last look before getting up and leaving as fast as he could. "Thanks." Was all he muttered before disappearing into the still darkened hallway.
Kunieda once again let out a deep sigh, and looked at the heavy breathing blonde. "Bitch."
A/N: I decided to make Oga and Hilda a little more fluffy than usual, but then again is it really that far off? You know they're fluffy when no one's watching *squee* Well look forward to the next chapters of both my stories. And to those of you that are requesting different anime ffs I have picked one but will not start releasing the actual chapters until either of my two ongoing stories come close to their wrap up. I can tell you now that one is close but can anyone tell me which one? Until next time lovies.
