A/N: Hiya! I really am so sorry for the REALLY LATE update, I've been really busy, and then had no inspiration.
Kitkatsmeow: thanks so much! here's the update :)
DirectorT: Thank you so much, I apprecitate that!
"Me and Jack aren't dating..." The words spin around in Kim's head.
She sighs and knocks on the Brewer's door, it's opened by Linda.
"Oh, hello Kim, come to see Jack?" Linda asks, smiling.
Kim nods and smiles back.
"Yes ma'am. Is he in his room?"
Linda nods. "Yep, go on in."
"Thanks." Kim says, before walking inside and up to Jack's room.
Jack was on his bed, with his earbuds in his ears. "Jack." Kim tapped his shoulder. He faced her, making his blink face go sour. "What Kim?" He said, tugging the earbuds out. "I know the truth Jack, why the hell didn't you tell me?"
"The truth to what?"
"About you and Claire!" Kim yelled, frustrating herself. "Good to know, is that all? For you to yell at me?"
"No to hear the truth, Jack." Kim sighed.
Jack got up, looking down at Kim. Kim spotted something on his wrist. "Jack..." Kim said softly, looking in Jack's eyes.
"Why are you wearing the bracelets I've gave you?"
"What? You want them back?"
"No, you never wore them before you left. Only once and that's when I gave them to you."
"Things change, get use to it." Jak sneered, upset.
Kim walks down the stairs quickly, muttering a 'goodbye' to Linda, before opening the door and running out.
She doesn't know where she's running, until she stops. Right in front of Julie's house.
She knocks on the door, and she's greeted by Julie's dad, he smiles at her.
"Hello Kim! Julie's upstairs." He says.
Kim nods and fakes a smile back.
"Thank you, Mark."
she replies before walking up to Julie's room.
"Jewel...I...he's changing...I feel like I don't know him anymore!" Kim says.
"Kim, he's going through a lot right now.."
"I'm calling off the game." Kim says.
Julie nods. "I knew you would say that..."
"I want to fix Jack. And seeing the way he is..." Kim says trailing off.
"Yeah, I get it."
Kim smiles. "Thanks for helping me Jewel."
Julie smiles back. "Anytime!"
Kim was sitting in the Brewer's house with Jack's mom, drinking tea. They was having small talk when Jack came in the kitchen. "Oh." Jack said, walking back upstairs. Kim got up in a swift move, grabbing Jack arm quicker. "Wait."
"What Kim?"
"Why are you avoiding me?"
"I've been in my house, how is that avoiding you?"
"You was about to go to your room 'cause I'm here. That sounds like avoiding to me." Kim let go of his arm, crossing hers.
"I don't feel like being bother."
"I heard that Milton was here yesterday."
"Good to know that you're stalking me now." Jack smirked, "Now let me be alone.
"I'm not stalking you, and I'm not leaving you alone until you open up to me."
"Then that would be never. Bye Kim." Jack ran upstairs, slamming his door. Kim groaned.
"Don't worry about him Kim, he'll be okay. He'll open up sooner or later. You are his best friend, so let's just finish our tea."
Linda smiled softly at Kim, and led her back to the table. Kim sighed, she knew that there was something very wrong with Jack but she couldn't put her finger on it. Jack never acted this way, even when he found out about Emily, and Kim was scared...
"Can I-"
"A-hem."
"I mean, we..go see Emily Brewer?" Kim asks the receptionist.
"Are you family?"
"I am, she isn't." Linda says.
"Okay, you obviously know the room. So bye."
Rude much?, Kim thinks.
Linda smiles. "Thank you." The receptionist just waves her off.
Very rude!
Linda sighs as she and Kim go to see Emily.
"Is something wrong?" Kim inquires.
"Hm? Oh, no no, nothing's wrong Kim. I'm just...I haven't seen Emily in so long...and now that I have a chance to see her...she won't be able to see me." Linda replies softly.
Kim gives her a sad smile. "I know...but Emily would want you to be happy...at least for Jack."
Linda nods. "You're right."
As soon as Kim and Linda walk into Emily's room, Linda starts sobbing hystarically, and falls to Emily's bedside. "Why?! Does the Lord hate me, as to take away my little girl?!" Linda exclaims.
Kim puts her hand on Linda's shoulder comfortingly. "No, he doesn't hate anyone. You know that. He simply thinks it might be time for Em to go home..."
Linda looks up at Kim, with tears streaming down her face. "It just doesn't seem fair..."
"I know," Kim sighs. "My brother had cancer..."
"I'm so sorry, what happened to him?"
"H-He...died..." Kim replies, she walks away before Linda could see her cry.
After the visit, Kim decided to visit Julie and tell her about what happened. Julie didn't answer her phone so Kim decided just to go
over. When Kim arrived, all the lights was off. Kim tried calling Julie's cell phone this time. "Hello?"
"Julie! Where are you?"
"Um, I'll talk to you later Kim." Julie hung up without letting Kim say a word. "What is going on?" Kim asked herself, she sighed and went home.
When she got there, she looked around for food. She gave up after a minute when she kept thinking about the phone call with Julie.
She were so confused about what happened with Julie and about everything in general that her head was spinning.
She ended up blacking out.
"Is she going to be okay, Doctor?" Kim's mom, Heather asked, looking at Kim.
The doctor nods. "She'll be fine, she was just over thinking, and I guess it was too much for her; she should be up and about soon, let me know when she is so I can check up on her."
"Okay." Heather replies, as the doctor leaves.
She looks over just as Kim starts waking up. Kim groans and opens her eyes.
"Mom? What are you doing here?" Then she looks around, "Better yet, what am I doing here?"
Heather smiles. "I found you a little while ago at home; you had blacked out in the kitchen, doctor Gina said you were just over thinking and it was too much for you...speaking of which, hold on."
Heather walks out and calls for the doctor; and they walk back in.
Dr. Gina takes a look at Kim. "You seem fine, do you feel okay, Kim?"
Kim nods, before wincing and touching her head. "No, I think I hit my head when I blacked out."
Dr. Gina nods. "Okay, I'll get some ice for that," she stands up, "I'll be back in a moment."
She walks to the door and almost gets hit as it opens and Julie walks-or runs- in to the room.
"Oh, thank goodness you're alright Kim!" She hugs said girl. "I was so worried when your mom called me, I thought to myself 'Julie, you shall not be worried!' but I couldn't help myself!" Julie gasps for breath.
Kim laughs. "Wow Jewels...I'm surprised you haven't fainted yet!"
Julie rolls her eyes. "Ha-ha very funny."
Kim smirks. "I thought so, why did you hang up on me earlier?"
Julie's eyes widen a little. "Oh...um, my...dad needed me, so I had to rush and help him...yep."
Kim looks at her unconvinced. "Uh-huh..."
"Here is your ice pack, Kim, you're free to go." Dr Gina says; walking in with an ice pack.
Kim smiles gratefully, "Thanks." she stands up and walks out.
Heather looks at Julie. "That...was close, remember Julie, she can't find out about any of this, yet."
Julie nods and walks out too, Heather following.
"Hey Julie, wanna sleep over at my house this weekend?" Kim asks as she and Julie get in Heather's car.
"Um, maybe. I'll see if I don't have anything planned." Julie replies.
"Oh. Okay..."
"Kimmy, we need to stop off at the store on the way home, would you two mind walking in with me?" Heather asks.
"Sure." Both girls say in sync.
"Hi..she has no idea, yeah, okay," Julie says, talking on the phone; Kim walks up to her then. "I gotta go, staying the night at Kimmy's, bye, Milton!" She hangs up,
"So that was Milton?" Kim asks,
"Yup! He was just wondering what I was up to, and I said I was with you."
"Oh. Want some popcorn?"
"Yum! Sounds good!" Julie replies.
"Okay, I'll go make some. Be back in a few." Kim says as she walks into the kitchen, Kim's mom walks up to Julie.
"Julie, I have something I need to give to your parents, can you come with me please?" She asks.
"Yes ma'am," she replies, "Be right back Kim," She calls to Kim, walking behind Heather. When they make it to Heather's room, they close the door.
"We need to tell her our plan." Heather says,
"So, tomorrow, the party will be ready?" Julie asks.
"Yes, and Jack will be out of his 'phase'." She replies, putting air quotes on phase.
"I still feel really bad for making him do that,"
"I know," Heather sighs, "I do too, but it'll be all over tomorrow, and they can be back to normal."
"Yeah, I guess. Now what is it you wanted to give to my parents?" Julie smiles,
"Hold on, I'll go get it," Heather replies, walking to her closet, she starts tossing things around, before making a pleased noise; and walks back out holding an old 70's cd. "Here it is!" She hands it to Julie. "I would highly advise not looking at it..."
Julie nods, before temptation takes over, and she looks down, "Oh my gosh! I love them!" She squeals.
"I told you not to look, Julia!" Heather says, teasingly,
"Sorry!" She replies; running out, and into the living room. "Yay! Popcorn!"
Kim laughs at Julie's childishness, "Obsession much?" She jokes.
Julie fakes an insulted look, "I am not!"
"Yes, dearie, I know you aren't.." Kim says, trying to get her to admit it.
"Okay; fine. Maybe I am little..."
"YESS! I got you to admit it!" Kim jumps up and starts doing her victory dance.
"Agh! My eyes! Kim, please, STOP!" Julie exclaims, putting her hands on her eyes and laughing.
"Oh my gosh, I'm so tired," Kim states at 5'oclock Saturday evening, the night of the party.
"Well, you should be! You've been wide awake since last night." Heather says.
"Eh..it..was.." Kim yawns, "Julie's..fault.."
Julie laughs, then leans towards Kim, "STAY AWAKE!"
"AHH!" Kim screams, falling off her chair, to the floor, landing on her butt. "Ow.."
Julie jumps from her chair to Kim, "Are you okay, are you awake?!"
Kim chuckles a little, "Yes, I'm awake, and yes I'm okay," She says, standing up.
Julie sighs in relief, "Phew, good!"
The doorbell rings, "Kimmers, can you get that?" Heather yells from the back room.
"Yeah, mom." Kim replies, walking to the door. she opens it, and is surprised.
She sees her friends, standing in front of her,
"Oh my gosh, hi guys! What a surprise!" She hugs all of them, "Jerry, Mika! Milton," but nothing, and I mean nothing, surprised her more than seeing him; at the back of the group, smiling his amazing smile.
"Happy birthday, Kimmykins."
"Jack?!"
