Hey! So I felt a little update was due, considering I haven't updated this in a super long time! Let's see the fun continue, shall we?
Jace stared down at the cuffs on his wrists. Since he had given Alec a vicious beating, he was no longer trusted. Alec is fine, He thought to himself, this is wholly unnessecary. But there was no arguing with Magnus, who felt Jace too be a danger too Alec. Maybe he's right. A nasty little voice in Jace's head whispered. Deep down, Jace felt guilty, he honestly had no idea what had possessed him too attack Alec. The words Obsessive, Infatuation, and Murder, did a few happy little turns around his thoughts. Jace was broken from his reverie by the appearance of Magnus, who looked rather upset. "Alec is going too be alright? Right?" Jace looked at Magnus pleadingly, begging him with his eyes too give him good news. Magnus just hung his head, and a lump began too form in Jace's throat. "Jace." Magnus said in a solemn voice, "Alec isn't going too..." and he cut off, took a deep breath and looked back at Jace. "Alec isn't going too... die." Jace felt an immense load of guilt settle on his shoulders, and then he looked up as he realised Magnus had used the word, isn't. Jace looked at the warlock, who was smiling. "You bastard," Jace snarled, rising too his feet. "You think that was funny? That's my brother, my friend, and if he would've died I would've had too carry that weight! This isn't a joke! Go too hell you miserable fucking half breed." Jace sat down, and Magnus sat down next too him. Jace realised he had just cursed at Magnus, and he instantly felt terrible. He looked at the warlock, his eyes seemingly tortured by his words but too his surprise, Magnus was smiling. "You see what you did there, Jace? For a moment, grief and anger overpowered her spell! That is the downfall of fey magic, since they have never had love, they don't know love. They just know stories, same as any other emotion. And what's the problem with stories? No matter how good the writer is, the real thing never really is quite the same as a story." Magnus looked at Jace intently, "Do you see where I'm going with this?" Jace, however, did not. "Well don't keep me in suspense." Jace told Magnus. Magnus leaped too his feet and smiled, "I shan't." he said. "Follow me." Jace got too his feet and began following the warlock through the institute. "Shan't?" Jace called after him, "Who uses that anymore? I mean I knew you were old, but shan't?" Magnus snapped his fingers and Jace could no longer pull his lips apart. "There," Magnus replied, "some peace and quiet." Jace scowled, and followed Magnus into the library.
