Aye I had no idea this fic was so popular because it's actually cliche'd trash XD enjoy all the same :)

"I can't believe I'm emptying out my wallet for this!" Miles whined as the jeweler slipped the small ring box into a bag.

"Me too." Ben gazed mournfully at his now empty wallet. "I'm officially broke."

"It's your fault," Marcus sighed, massaging his forehead.

"We know. We have regrets," the two boys chorused together.

Marcus checked his phone. "We're due to meet Percy at Central Park in about ten minutes. You better run boys, or we'll miss him. And we better not be late; it was hell trying to convince him to meet you guys."

Ben and Miles exchanged looks, before sprinting for the doors and screaming as if their lives depended on it.

.

Mikayla stood back, admiring hers and Leanne's handiwork.

"Done!" she announced.

"We did a pretty good job, didn't we?" Leanne grinned, reaching out for a high five.

"Not too shabby," Gianna said, as she gazed upon the quaint little date Leanne and Mikayla had set up.

"Do you think we'll be forgiven?" black haired Mikayla asked hopefully.

Their somewhat friend, Gianna shrugged. "It's hard to say with those two."

After much persuasion from Marcus, Gianna had finally agreed to talk to Mikayla and Leanne again. She held a grudge against her old best friends for trying to break up one of the greatest couples in demigod history, and yet…yet, Gianna couldn't hate them. Not at all. They were her friends after all.

.

Percy eyed Ben and Miles warily.

"Marcus, what do they want? If it's an apology, I can't—"

"Percy, stop right there," Ben ordered.

Miles cleared his throat. "We know you won't accept our apology just yet, so we're trying to make it up to you and Annabeth. We know what we were trying to do was wrong of us, and so…"

Ben held out the bag to their old friend. "We remembered that one time us guys hung out at the mall, you had your eye set on this ring in the jewelry store. So we emptied our wallets for it."

Percy's eyes widened as he reverently took the box out of the bag. He opened it to find a twisted gold ring with little leaves. It had two medium sized gems resting side by side, like little lights. One was a peridot and the other was a ruby, the former being Percy's birthstone and latter being Annabeth's.

The son of Poseidon inhaled sharply. "Ben…Miles…you didn't have to—"

"We wanted to. We wanted to make up for what we've done. For the girls, as we speak, they're setting up a date for you and Annabeth," Ben hurriedly explained.

The raven haired swimmer raised an eyebrow at Marcus, who shrugged. "I told them that you intended to set up a date so you could give your beau a promise ring."

Percy gazed down at the stunning ring, then back up at Ben and Miles. "Thank you," he murmured softly.

The two boys grinned at their friend, before throwing their arms around his shoulders.

"C'mon Perce. Did you wanna see your date spot for tonight?"

.

Mikayla and Leanne put on their biggest smiles as Miles, Ben, and Marcus walked over with Percy. Marcus had immediately left his friends' sides to be with his girlfriend, Gianna. Ben and Miles ambled over to their two partners, leaving Percy to gaze at the spot, his green eyes sparkling with wonder.

The spot definitely was something to look at though. It was set on the shore of the beach, where the smell of salt water mixed with the fresh air and the crashing waves roared in one's ears. A large purple and white striped hammock was tied between two palm trees, and was stuffed with pillows and blankets. On the sand was a checkered picnic blanket, with candles and gourmet looking food. Fairy lights and lanterns were hung around the area to give some light.

"Hey Percy," Leanne greeted sweetly.

The green eyed boy broke his gaze from the decorated area and met Leanne's eyes. "You and Mikayla did this?"

The other girl nodded emphatically. "Yeah, do you like it?"

Percy's eyes drifted over the strings of lights. "I love it. This…this means a lot. Thank you."

The two girls met the raven haired boy's gaze with bright smiles.

"As proof that we are truly sorry."

And with those words, Leanne and Mikayla finally cut their strings, connecting them to their crushes on Percy, and let them drift away, like balloons in a summer breeze.
