a.n. Hi guys it me. I was looking through my fanfic list and noticed there were three fan fictions that I haven't updated in at least half a year, this being on of them. Yusuke or Apollo is being rewritten so keep your eye out for the replacement of chapter 1. A new kind of fight will probably be the last of the three I update, the next chapter coming out round about Christmas. This is mainly because I'm having trouble writing the fight scene, but I'm not giving up and I will get it eventually. So here it is the chapter you've waited all this time for.

Chapter 7 ~ who is the boy in white?

Kagome placed the nib of her pen on the page, intending to do her homework. At least, that's what she meant to do. It wasn't her fault that she ended up staring listlessly out of the window. It wasn't. Really! Besides how could she be expected to do her homework when she was being stalked by a white haired boy, who was into cosplay, and if her dreams were to be believed was called 'inuyasha'.

Dog demon. A fitting name for a boy who went round with dog ears twitching on his head. Hmm. How did he get them? Implants? Mutation? Or perhaps they were just really realistic robotic decorations on a new type of headband? He did have very long hair after all. It must get in his eyes a lot. That must be it. A headband.

Something in the back of her mind seemed to whisper that this guess was wrong. That she knew it. That she should know it and that she once did.

It was strange. She had so many emotions connected to this boy in one way or another. Emotions that she had no explanation for. Anger. Sorrow. Longing. And something else, something she couldn't quite put her finger on.

He confused her. He ran around dressed in feudal era clothes, leaping through the trees as though it was the most normal thing in the world.

He was weird and made her head hurt if her thoughts lingered on him to long.

"Kagome!"

"Sit boy!"

"Inuyasha?"

"Kikyo!"

"I'm not Kikyo. I am Kagome. I'm not anyone else!"

What was that? Kagome awoke with a start, her head jerking up from where it had been resting on her desk.

Had she fallen asleep? She didn't remember closing her eyes, yet what other explanation was there?

Kikyo. It was that name again. The white haired boy, Inuyasha, had mentioned her.

What did Kikyo have to do with her?

She thought back on it, matching up the stray names and images that had dwelt in her dreams and mind for past few days.

Could Kikyo be the girl in her dream? The one who had been floating in a lake, watched over by two children and injured with a wound that leaked a tainted miasma.

Yes. Her mind supplied, matching the name to the image.

She was even more confused now than she was before. Why did she have memories of a girl she had never met before?

Inuyasha watched Kagome through the window, contemplating his new found emotions. If he was in love with her, that would certainly explain a few things, but – it opened up a few more questions as well.

If he loved Kagome, what were his feeling for Kikyo? Why did he seek the miko out whenever they stopped for the night? What was this need to see her? It hadn't been like that fifty years ago, so why was it the case now? Why couldn't he move on?

He knew the Kikyo was nothing more than a walking clay pot, feeding on the souls of young women to keep herself alive and healthy. He knew she wasn't truly alive and that she would like nothing more than to drag him to hell with her for 'betraying' her.

They had told her, of course, that Inuyasha wasn't to blame, that it was Naraku's fault. They had explained about the demon's ability to change his form.

She had even heard straight from the demon himself that he had transformed, first into her and then into Inuyasha, to cause a rift between the two lovers and that he was acting on the bandit, Onigumo's love for her, and yet her goal remained the same. The stubborn priestess still wished to drag him with her all the way to hell.

He would, begrudgingly, admit that her motive's had at least changed, although that didn't exactly make him feel any better about it.

Now, instead of wanting him to suffer alongside her, she wanted him to spend eternity by her side. At her side, and no one else's, especially not her incarnates.

A.n. So this should eventually be coming to a close guys. I just need to come up with a good ending. If I had to guess I would have to say that it was only going to last 2 or 3 more chapters.
