Hey guys! The translations are going to be next to the parts where they speak the other language, so you don't have to keep scrolling to the bottom of the page. I was thinking of doing this while I was reading the last chapter the final time, and it was also suggested by NightsAnger. So I'm trying it out for this chapter. If you like this way better, or prefer the other way, please let me know. Please review!
***Na'vi/Night Fury Language in Bold. (Translations in Italics and Brackets)***
They'd been flying for hours until they finally saw land. Destiny saw the island first, a shadowy shape looming over the horizon in the darkening sky. By the time they landed it was already dark, making it easy for sneak along the sea-cliffs.
A short distance away from where they landed, a fire was burning, surrounded by 3 Night Furies. Toothless turned to his sister when they saw the guards and nodded, slinking forward.
Toothless purposely snapped a twig on the ground, drawing the guards attention. They snarled and flared their wings to look bigger. The lead one, with red markings on his wings, stepped forward. "Who are you?" He asked, eyeing them suspiciously.
"We are the Darkness." Destiny stated. "And we're here to see Sapphire."
**Later**
The guards led Toothless and Destiny to their camp on foot. Other Night Furies eyes them from behind draped furs and around cave walls. Small fires were lit around the area to keep it light.
At the end of path through the camp was a cave draped with ivy. There were no fires lit by it, and it was away from the rest of the camp. The red guard nodded his head towards the cave, and then turned to stand nearby.
Destiny and Toothless walked into the cave. It was lit by small fires that burned with a green glow. There was more ivy draped around the walls, as well as several other strange plants growing out of the rock. Near a particularly spiky looking plant stood an elderly Night Fury with light blue markings decorating her dark scales. She turned to look at the two as they neared her.
The two bowed as she looked at them. "Olo'eyktan Sapphire." (1)
Sapphire said. "Kempe zamunge mengenga ne Zongtseng?" (What brings you to Zongtseng?) (2)
"Moe tìkin ngeyä srung zong oeyä 'eylan." Toothless spoke. "Ayfo tìspe'e ìlä Drachen ulte moe fpìl fo lu tìspe'e mì 'awm asim." (We need your help saving our friends. They were captured by Drachen and we think they're being held in a camp nearby.)
"Ulte lumpe kem si tìkin oeyä srung?" Sapphire inquired. (And why do you need my help?)
"Ohe stawn ngenga omum fya'o kxamlä ram." (I hear you know the path through the mountains)
"Pelun sweylu oe srung si mengenga? Peu Zongtseng kanom mì tätxaw?" Sapphire challenged. (Why should I help you? What will Zongtseng get in return?)
"Moe kanom ayfo ne 'ärìp sno 'awm tsengo mìso ta Zongtseng." Destiny suggested. "Tsaw lu kxuke pongu te Zongtseng fa Drachen lìm neto." (We'll get them to move their camp somewhere away from Zongtseng. It will be safer for the people here with Drachen farther away.)
Sapphire thought for a moment, and made her decision. "Peu kem si mengenga kin?" (What do you need?)
**Later That Night**
The path Sapphire had chosen through the mountains was dark. The mountains rose high above their heads, letting almost none of the light from the rising sun. The little light that was seen turned the rock cliffs a brilliant orange colour. Toothless, Destiny, and Sapphire were accompanied by the three guards from before.
The six Night Furies travelled in silence until they came upon a river cutting through the narrow valley. "This is where we leave you." Sapphire said. "It is to dangerous for me to risk sending my guards any further."
Toothless nodded in agreement. "Thank you for helping us." He thanked her, bowing to her again. Destiny did the same.
The guards nodded to them and turned back, gliding through the valley. Sapphire turned to Destiny. "There is one more thing you can do for me." She said quietly so only she could hear.
"Anything" Destiny said, equally quiet.
"I've heard rumours that Drachen has a set of scrolls documenting Night Fury bloodlines. Where we live, and estimations of our numbers." Sapphire whispered. "I want you to see if you can find them. And if you do, destroy them."
Destiny nodded. Sapphire smiled at her. "Sìltsan syayvi." (Good luck)
Bowing again, Destiny watched Sapphire disappear back into the darkness and then turned to follow her brother the opposite way.
