GAME PLAN

"How do you plan on accomplishing your game, huh?" Ruka asked his seemingly deranged best friend.

"It will be a very hard hurdle but I will win this game with her."

"Make sure you do, or I will kill you." A voice from behind them spoke.

"Imai?/Hotaru?" Both boys exclaimed.

"Mikan was not really stiff before."

"I know that. She used to be able to smile like the sun."

"How do you know that?'

"I met her before. Then when I met her again, she did not seem to remember me."

"When you met her again, was that when she was at a party with business tycoons for when she helped the Koizumi business?"

"Yes."

"Well, sorry to tell you but at that time, Mikan psychologically blocked her happy memories. She even stopped mentioning about the boy who she always played with by the lake."

Natsume flinched.

"I'm guessing you have something to do with the boy."

"I am that boy." Natsume said.

Meanwhile with Mikan.

"Where is that hoodlum? I'm really going to ignore him for a month if he does not come in ten. Why did I have to forget my phone in the bag he has with him?" She said impatiently.

Back to the three.

"Well, an accident happened right after she successfully revived the Koizumi's."

"And what was that?" Natsume asked.

"Her brother, Yukihira Rei died."

"I remember my parents saying that the party was moved to a later date and they were talking about pitying a little Yukihira because she was really close to that brother." Ruka stated.

"Mikan was really close to Rei and he spoiled Mikan to the roof. They had lost their grandpa just a month before that and losing her brother was another blow. Mikan entered a state of psychological process in which she blocked all her memories, turning her into the Ice Queen Mikan we have now."

"Isn't there a way to return her memories?" Ruka asked.

"Somehow, she was able to unlock the other memories but the happy ones. I hate to say this but only she can unlock it."

"Wait how long have you and Mikan been done?" Natsume asked.

"Ten minutes ago."

"Oh, crap."

"You better go. But have you any idea on how your gonna do it?"

"I do. But I really think I should go now." Natsume sprinted like crazy to where Mikan is.

When he arrived to where Mikan was, he saw her leaning to the wall with a frown. Sensing that he had arrived, Mikan looked at him and turned to her heels to walk away.

"Mikan, I am so sorry. I was with Ruka and Hotaru told me about something and when I noticed that Hotaru had been talking with us, it was already minutes."

"..."

"Mikan, I'm sorry."

"..."

"Mikan?"

"Bag."

Natsume handed Mikan her bag and she entered her car home. She closed her door without another word to Natsume. The car drove off and Mikan was left on her own to ponder.

'Was I acting too immaturely? He even apologized for a lot of times. No! It's his fault for not looking for me earlier. But why do I seem content that he found me and that he did not forget about me.' Mikan thought.
