Helia's pov
As Flora leads David to the gates of the city, I try not to stare at her. I can hear Sky and the other chuckling at me. I just roll my eyes and keep moving. She stops moving suddenly and whispers something in David's ear. He moves to the rest of us as Flora takes off her jacket. She points to the group and Romeo follows it. She tosses her jacket in the air to reveal some of her beautiful tan skin. Out of no where someone dressed in black attack her and they wrestle to the ground. She soon straddles the person in black, holding her hands around his throat.
"Say it." She orders.
"No." He says plainly.
She squeezes his throat lightly.
"Say it." She orders again.
"Fine. Flora is a better fighter that me and every possible form. Happy." He says with a pout.
She smirks and kisses his forehead lovingly.
"Very. I'll meet you at the gym." Flora says as she let him.
He walks down the path and heads to the palace.
"What was that about?" I ask.
"Me settling a bet. Come on." She as she starts to run to the gate.
"She has too many problems. Helia, think about this before you do something stupid-er" Riven teases with a shove.
"Shut up." I growl to him as I shove him back and keep moving.
We arrive to the gate and Flora nods to the guards. The gate slowly opens and the city reveals itself. Children play in the streets, women and men sell things in their stands. Behind it all, the palace stands tall. We follow closely behind Flora as we make our way to the palace gates. The children quickly run to Flora and talk to her rapidly. Flora some how is able to keep up with all of them. The closer we get to the gate, the children say goodbye and leave to find their parents. We walk through the gate and make our way to what seem to look like a training arena.
"Welcome boys, to your hell." Flora says as the light turn off.
We hear her giggle loudly and the light turn back on. A loud thump and we look to see to see Throne on the floor. I look up to see Flora hanging form the beam, lightly swinging her legs.
"The name of the game is Blackout. When the lights go down, better hide." Flora explains as she jumps off the beam.
She snaps her finger and the light turn off. I feel a gust of wind zoom by me and I hear 3 loud thumps. Including Timmy. She's standing behind Brandon with a Cheshire grin on her face.
"Brandon turn around." Sky shouts.
He whips his body around and tries to attack Flora. She snaps her finger and again the lights go out. I hear him grunt and then a thump. The lights turn on and Brandon is on the floor.
"Come on boys, you should be able to at least tap me. Just once." She teases as she snaps again.
We hear her giggle loudly Sky mumbles out a scream. A thump is all that is left. The lights turn on and Sky is moaning on the ground. Throne being an idiot launches himself for Flora and she turns the lights on. Not even 5 seconds later he ends up on the floor moaning in pain.
"Poor Throne, all growl and no bark." Flora says with a giggle as she cartwheel away.
She snaps her fingers again and there are at least 10 grunts and moans and thumps. The light turn on and at 10 guys end up on the ground. She flips over to Riven and plays a game of cat and mouse. She dodges his moves with a giggle and snaps again.
"I'm getting tired of this.." Riven says angrily but doesn't finish.
He like everybody else ends up on the ground. This goes on for what feels like hours. Until it's just me and Flora. I try to figure out how is she finding us in the dark. I look at my cape and quickly take it off. I feel a presence behind me and I quickly strike it. I hear a light grunt and something kicks me in the face. The lights turn back on and I realize I'm holding my cheek and Flora's holding her stomach. I feel guilty that I hurt her. The feeling doesn't even change when she lightly smiles at me.
"How did you know it was the cape I was looking for?" Flora says with a light cough.
"The color. It's bright enough to see, even if you're in the dark. I figured it would be harder to find me without it. I'm sorry if I hurt you." I explain while getting up.
"Don't worry about it. I've been hurt worse. See the scar." She says as she lifts up her shirt up to her stomach.
I scream at myself not to do anything stupid. I see a scar the width of a folded piece of paper. It's thin as a piece of paper.
"What happened?" Brandon asks as he gets up.
"I was in a combat class and the guy cut me pretty good. It took about 49 stiches and 2 hours." Flora says as she runs her finger over it.
"What about the one on your hip?" Riven asks as he points from a disant at the Nike shaped scar on her hip.
"That happened summer break freshman year and I get into a fight with a summer school student and he cut me with his claws." Flora answers.
"Why did you two fight?" Timmy asks.
"He was trying to a tough guy." Flora says.
"Anymore scars." Nabu asks curiously.
"Sadly yes. But that's another story for another day." Flora says as she helps the others up.
She shows us the rest of the gym and gives us 3 rules.
"I only have 3 rules. 3 basic simple rules. 1, do not go into Matian territory. PERIOD. 2, be in your dorm at your curfew. 3, do not test me, do not push me." Flora explains bluntly.
She spends the rest of the day showing us around the palace. We walk down a long hallway when a girl walks down on the phone talking loudly. Flora groans softly. That must be her sister.
"Hey sis, who are your band of hotties?" Krystal asks flirtiously.
"These are the Specialist I am training. Everyone, this is my sister, Krystal." She introduces as her whole body stiffens.
I can just tell that Flora does not want to be here. Her slender fingers are tapping against her hip, she is standing up straighter to look taller.
"Well, I like this one." Krystal says as she winks at me.
Flora lets out a soft growl and Krystal walks away. I can just tell that they a horrible relationship just by watching them. Flora shows us to our rooms. After that she lets us explore the palace. Me and the guys end up lost in the halls. We hear shouting coming from a room. It sounds like Flora.
"What's going on in there?" Timmy asks.
"It sounds like arguing." Brandon says as he presses his ear against the door.
"We should leave. It's not our place to listen in a private conversation." I argue as I try to leave the room.
"Come on Helia, live a little." Riven temps as he too presses his ear against the door.
Nabu is able to make the door see through and we can listen to the conversation. It a guy and Flora, staring each other down
"It's not going to work!" A man says with annoyance.
"Isn't that the guy from earlier?" Sky asks.
"Think so." Brandon says.
"We have no choice. This has to work. If doesn't Krystal gets the throne, and we both know that's a disaster in the making." Flora says.
"How am I suppose to help train over 200 lost causes?" The guy asks rudely.
"You'll figure out and besides you're not training them all." Flora says.
"What do you mean?" The guy asks confused.
"If we're luckily you're only going to help me train six of them. Here are their files." Flora explains as she hands him six files.
He looks through the files and chuckles upon one of them.
"You have got to be kidding me Flo." The guy chuckles.
"I'm serious. All 6." Flora states sternly.
"Including orange glasses?" The guy asks.
"Yes even Timmy. They have name you know." Flora says.
"I could snap him in half with my bare hands. How am I suppose to fix that?" The guy asks laughing slightly.
"I'm not that skinny." Timmy mumbles angrily.
"Shut up." Riven orders.
"Look, Helia told me that he could help. We need help Jeff." Flora says softly.
"Flo, I trust you, no one else." Jeff says.
"I know you do. Look, something tells me to trust Helia. My gut told me to trust him. And my gut is what Jeff?" Flora explains.
"Never wrong." Jeff answers reluctantly.
"Exactly. You may not trust him, but trust me. Ok." Flora begs as she wraps his arms around her trim waist.
"Ok. But only for you." Jeff says as he hugs her.
"Thank you. I have to go now. We'll take later." Flora says as she hugs him.
"Alright. Love you." Jeff says as he kisses her cheek.
I try not to growl at another guy's lips on my princess. No! She's not mine, she doesn't belong to me.
"Love you too." Flora says as she returns the peck on his cheek and walks to the door.
And there it is. My heart shatters into pieces. We quickly run down the hall so Flora doesn't see. Who was I kidding anyway? She could never love someone like me. She is a fighter and she deserves someone to protect her, the way I can't. I sigh heavily as I try and find my way back to my room.
No pov
Before Flora leaves the room, she turns around looks at Jeff.
"Jeff." Flora says softly.
"Yeah." Jeff answers.
"I think I have a crush on one of my students." Flora admits sadly.
"Please tell me it's not glasses." Jeff begs.
"Timmy, no. It's probably nothing but I really like him. But, he wouldn't like me." Flora explains.
"What moron wouldn't like you. You're beautiful, intelligent, graceful, you're perfect. Who would want to give you the moon?" Jeff asks with a chuckle.
"He probably wants a fairy to protect. Not some warrior who can fight for themselves. All the guys want a dainty little flower in need of protecting." Flora says.
"If he can't love you for you than he's not worth it. Never forget that." Jeff orders her in a brotherly way.
"I guess you're right." Flora says as she walks to the door.
She walks to the yards and asks the guards to get her students. What she did not know is that Sky Brandon, Timmy, Riven, and Nabu heard her. The run back to their dorms so they would not get caught.
"We're telling Helia right?" Nabu asks.
"Why should we?" Riven asks.
"Because the man is miserable and he loves her." Nabu explains, trying to help out his friend.
"Let him suffer. Because of him, I got my ass whipped over five times, BY A GIRL! If anything, let him figure it out a be miserable." Riven explains loudly as he plops on the bed.
"He saved you and Musa from breaking up." Timmy reminds him.
"Shut up. I'm not telling him and neither should you." Riven says.
"We need to at least hint to him that she likes him." Sky insists.
"He got us into this mess in the first place. Besides, have you not seen the ring on her finger. She has to be engaged." Riven argues as he sits up.
"She said that she's single." Brandon points out.
"What girl hasn't lied about being single?" Riven asks.
"We don't know where the ring is from. We need to at least help him figure out where it came from then move forward." Sky explains as the door knocks.
"Who is it?" Timmy asks loudly.
"Princess Flora wants you all in the gym in 15 minutes. Don't be late." One of the guard explains through the door before walking.
"We better find Helia." Nabu says as he leaves the room to find his friend.
The guys quickly follow behind him to find their depressed friend.
