Willow reached the US and Canada border. She had ditched Shane's car the next morning outside of Stamford, CT. Her powers didn't last long because she was already tired from her training that day. A half hour was all she was able to drive the car. On top of the numerous close calls with other cars. She had an eidetic memory and had at least read the driver's manual to know road signs and the basic road rules. After ditching the car, Willow managed to get a ride to Niagara falls with a nice family. Standing at the top of falls she was in awe of the beauty of it. She looked around at the crowds of people from all over the world. Smiling and laughing with their families. Willow was always shown devastation and destruction at the WWE facility. She thought the outside world was a war zone. What she was seeing now was just life as normal. Except for the movies Mick gave her she had never experienced normal life. Her books she read were more like what she was seeing now.
She noticed a newly wed couple kissing and cuddling. Willow wanted so much to know that feeling. She never knew love. Her parents never showed her love. The only person who showed her any real kindness was Mick Foley. He showed her photos of his family and treated her like his own daughter. Everyone else treated her like property.
Willow noticed people staring at her. Looking around she started to get nervous. A woman and her son walked past her looking at her like she was a freak. "Mama. What is wrong with that lady? Is she an angel?" The lady rushed her son away and apologized to Willow.
Willows features were very different than any people she had ever seen. She was strikingly beautiful but very unique. She had albinism and her white hair and light blue eyes almost looked alien. She started to realize for the first time how very different from the other people she was. How much she stood out in the crowd. Willow shyly looked around and pulled up her hood on her jacket.
As she turned to leave she saw the tall Brock Lesnar over the crowd of people looking around. She slipped away into a nearby cab. The money Mick gave her would come in handy. She managed to find the shoebox of money tucked away in a tree near his home.
The cab took her to the bus station and, Willow took the first bus to get as far away as possible. Getting on the bus she found a seat alone near the back. A little girl and her mother sat across from her. It had been a long time since she ate last. Watching the mother give the girl snacks made her stomach growl. The women noticed Willow watching and grabbed a granola bar and juice from her bag. "Here sweetheart. You look hungry."
Willow grabbed the food eating quickly, "Thank you."
The little blonde girl sat next to her and smiled. "I am CeCe. What's your name?"
"CeCe, don't bother the lady." The lady told the child.
"Oh, It's ok. Hi CeCe. My name is Willow."
The little girl touched Willows hair that was sticking out from her hoodie. "Are you an angel? Your hair is pretty." The girl's mom went to check her phone.
"No. I am just a person. I can do something special though. Can you keep a secret?" Willow pulled a butterfly from her pocket making sure the girl's mom wasn't watching. The little girl smiled with wide eyes. Willow made it float up and over to the girl's hand. "Shh. It's a secret."
The little girl nodded, "I think you are an angel." The girl went back to her seat.
Willow smiled and looked out the window. It was starting to rain and she watched the raindrops fall. She had not seen rain since she was a teen. She manipulated the water drops by her head to look like her crying. Exactly how she was feeling since she learned her whole life had been a lie. At a stop, a man distracted her. The drops fell as normal. "Miss is this seat taken?" She looked up seeing Scott Steiner. Willow looked away as he sat down. "Next stop your getting off this bus and, going home. Don't try anything."
Willow looked at him. "Stay away from me." She tried to control his mind and Scott noticed the look in her eyes.
"Oh, stop that won't work. Shane was caught off guard. You can't try that with me. Mind freak." Brock sat in front of them.
Willow sat trying to figure out how to get out of this. "I am not a freak."
Scott just chuckled, "Sorry to be the one to break the news but, you are."
At the next stop, he grabbed her arm leading her out of the bus. An awaiting car was sitting in the parking lot. Willow pretended to go along willingly. She reached the car and, Brock was walking in front of them. She focused and caught Brock's pant leg on fire. Scott ran over trying to put out the flame. Willow ran to the driver side door why the driver jumped out trying to catch her. She kicked him as hard as she could in the groin. When he fell she jumped in the car and hit the gas driving with her mind. The men ran after her and she managed to get away.
She drove down side roads for about an hour and started to figure out how to drive with her hands. Not well, but it worked but she had many close calls. The rain getting heavy made it hard to control for an amateur driver. She was too exhausted to stop the car with her mind when the car hydroplaned off the road. The car hit a tree and the airbags popped out. Willow had a few cuts and looked down seeing her leg was cut pretty bad. She looked around seeing a bag in the backseat left from the men. Pulling out clothes she ripped a shirt wrapping up her leg. She pulled herself from the car and a farmer pulled up to help her. Reading his mind she saw he was not associated with WWE. "Miss, are you hurt? Do you want me to call your family?"
"I don't have anyone."
"Can I take you home," He asked.
"I don't...I am not from here." Willow heald pressure on her leg.
"Well, hop in. We'll get you some help. My wife is a nurse. She can help you." The farmer helped her in the old pickup truck.
Driving to the farmhouse the man noticed the look on her face. "I know that look. You are running from something. I have been there. Wanna talk about it?"
Willow shook her head no. "I am so cold."
"We're almost there. You look to be about my daughter's size. We will get you some dry clothes and some food. It will be ok."
"Thank you, Mr. Lawler."
He looked over surprised, "You know my name?"
Willow shook her head yes. "Your name is on the truck." She giggled.
He laughed, "Well hell. I guess you're right. Call me Jerry."
"I am Willow."
"Albino right? My best friend in school was an albino. I always thought that he looked like an angel. But, he was mean as a snake."
Willow laughed, "You know someone like me?"
"Yep. White hair. He had red eyes though. White skin. He couldn't get in the sun."
"Cool. I never saw someone like me," Willow smiled knowing someone in the world was like her.
"God's blessings. You are rare but, very special."
"My friend Mick says that. You seem kind like he is." Willow smiled. The old farmer patted her shoulder.
"You're going to be ok sweetheart."
