Guest 2 : Yes, I can understand why you see my OC as a mary-sue… Fighting the kyuubi but like I said, his powers have been greatly diminished and is at a much weakened state; almost around the level of just a high-rank Chuunin at this point. Of course I'd have preferred a much constructive review but well, you chose to rage instead. Meh all I'll say, you don't like it, don't read it. I'll just emphasize my point : I know what a Mary Sue is and Ryo will not be the OC character that beats everyone like nothing and has no character development. He will have his weak moments.

Yes I believe now that introducing a new chapter by responding to reviewers be a good way to interact with all those who reviewed. So you're welcome to give me your thoughts, I'd prefer a much constructive review if you find a flaw rather than a flamer but I'll still welcome those since a flamer is… unavoidable at some point.

CHAPTER 7: THE HYUUGA AFFAIR
Within the halls of Hyuuga Hiashi's home, blood decorated the walls and the ceiling and the bodies of many Hyuuga lay on the wooden floor, their eyes still open as if still clinging on to dear life. The Konoha ANBU spared none of the Hyuuga attendants and there were no life in the main household except for one Hyuuga.
The Kumo Jounin picked up the unconscious Hyuuga Hinata and carried her on his shoulder, completely ignoring the bewildered Naruto. However the Kumo Jounin wished for no witnesses so he merely snapped his fingers and the Konoha ANBU stepped in, their katana blades drawn out.
At the moment Naruto was seething in anger, watching Hinata carried away by an unknown assailant and Naruto was beginning to lose his sense of judgment. His heart ached, his breaths heavy and he could feel an overwhelming sense of power seeping through him.
Unknown to Naruto, the Konoha ANBU were now looking at a little boy filled with a red chakra cloak which shaped around Naruto like a fox. Naruto growled in anger, his old self gone, his whisker marks much thicker and his fingernails were much like claws. Whatever it was, the Konoha ANBU knew it was the chakra of the legendary beast sealed within Naruto.
"So this is the Jinchuuriki of the Nine-tails." The Kumo Jounin remarked with interest, looking back at Naruto.
"Let… Her… Go…" Naruto muttered with a low and raspy voice.
"Heh... This seems interesting." The Kumo Jounin remarked with interest. "What can a Jinchuuriki do at the age of 3 anyway?"
"You should be careful Tanaka-san." The other Kumo Jounin warned. "In the end, the kid's still a Jinchuuriki. Let us just be done with him and get out of here."
The other Jounin, Tanaka merely laughed at his partner's words. "But can you imagine how much more powerful Kumogakure would be if we captured the brat? We'd have three at least three of the legendary tailed beasts!"
The other Kumo Jounin said nothing so Tanaka merely gave the order and the Konoha ANBU obeyed, approaching Naruto slowly. They knew the dangers of the Kyuubi and were much more cautious in their approach.
Finally Naruto struck first, smashing his fist on the closest ANBU in the face, the mask of the ANBU cracking a little. Despite the assistance of the Kyuubi's chakra, Naruto was still merely a boy so the Kyuubi could only give so much. The other ANBU's thus knew that Naruto was not much of a threat and all dived in at the young blonde.
Naruto delivered a devastating roar and released a large amount of chakra within the room that it stunned all of the ANBUs. However it was not enough to completely stop them and two of them tackled the young boy by the ribs, pinning him down on the ground. Naruto struggled for a bit, growling in anger but he could not overthrow the weight and strength of the two ANBU holding him down.
"Seal the chakra away." The Kumo Jounin known as Tanaka ordered. "That will calm the boy down."
The Konoha ANBU nearby nodded and began performing a large number of seals that was meant to drain chakra. Luckily for them, Naruto had only merely leaked a small amount and thus allowed the Konoha ANBU to drain the Kyuubi's chakra and stop Naruto's rampage. After the chakra was drained, Naruto lost consciousness, his world becoming black.
"Are you serious about bringing him as well?" Tanaka's partner asked as if Tanaka was insane.
"I should be asking why you are so reluctant instead." Tanaka responded, gesturing for the ANBU to pick up Naruto. "We are already kidnapping the daughter of the Hyuuga so now picking their Jinchuuriki would make no difference."
The other Kumo Jounin remained silent and made no protest. Once the Konoha ANBU had Naruto in their hands, Tanaka gave the order to retreat at once from Konoha.
The peace officials from Kumo along with the other Kumo ANBU were all but diversions so that Kumogakure could complete their true objectives; to obtain the Hyuuga bloodline limit. With their objectives completed, they now had to escape from the walls of Konoha before Konoha discovered what their true intentions were.
Outside the main Hyuuga household, the streets were empty as other Hyuuga were probably in the central district of Konoha or simply not present at that location. It was the best opportunity for them to escape. With the Konoha ANBU to lead the way in hopes to reduce suspicion, the two Kumo Jounin moved quickly.
Suddenly a volley of shurikens appeared out of nowhere and nearly all of the metallic stars pierced through the Konoha ANBU, incapacitating them instantly. The two Kumo Jounins with three more remaining ANBU jumped back, aware that whoever their opponent is, the person was highly skilled to have actually caught ANBU ninjas off guard.
The ANBU spotted their assailant and felt fear crawling down his spine. "You… You are…"
"… Of all people, she had to arrive." The Kumo Jounin said with fear in his voice. However Tanaka seemed to look excited at the arrival.
Before them was the presence of Uzumaki Kushina, her fiery red hair whistling freely like the sails of a ship. Between her fingertips she held several more kunai ready to be thrown and on her hips, she had several scrolls ready to be used whenever she needed to.
"So you're Uzumaki Kushina…" Tanaka commented with a grin, his arms open wide as if he was welcoming Kushina. "Indeed your son resembles you."
"Release the children!" Kushina demanded, shaking the composure of the Konoha ANBU.
Tanaka merely grinned as he formed a seal and began channeling chakra towards Kushina. Kushina made no move and prepared to avoid whatever Tanaka was about to throw at her. However after a couple of seconds nothing happened and the confused look of Tanaka was evident on his face.
"What's wrong?" The other Kumo Jounin questioned with a worried tone.
Tanaka glared at Kushina with a much more serious look now, his hands still in the same seal. "She… She's not falling for it!"
"What?! But I thought you said no one could resist it!" The Kumo Jounin was terrified at this point and Kushina noticed it.
'What is going on…?' Tanaka thought, his eyes never leaving the Uzumaki. 'None can oppose my powers, not even the Raikage himself. So long as they have no connection with any of us, none can… Wait… Could it be…? Unless this woman has some direct connection with Hiro, the Rikudo Sanin, then…'
Kushina waited enough and charged forward towards the Kumo Jounin and the Konoha ANBU. The Konoha ANBU that was carrying Naruto passed the unconscious boy to the other Kumo Jounin before they engaged with Kushina. The three Konoha ANBU drew their katana and prepared to strike Kushina when the red-haired Uzumaki threw her the kunais she had been holding on her fingertips. Of course this time the three Konoha ANBU were successful in parrying them but Kushina took this to her advantage, delivering a blow to the closest ANBU on the chest and then a sweeping kick on the ANBU's neck, knocking the ANBU out.
The other two struck together, their blades whistling in the air but the Uzumaki woman dodged them with ease. The two Kumo Jounins watched the entire scene play out before them and it was obvious that Kushina was far too skilled to be defeated by even the ANBU of Konoha. The red-haired Uzumaki side-stepped to her right and elbowed the back of the ANBU's head and then took out one of the scrolls she had. Opening the scroll, she strapped the scroll onto the back of the ANBU's head and then a second later, the Konoha ANBU lost consciousness.
The last Konoha ANBU hesitated to attack for a moment and it was all Kushina needed to deliver a powerful thrust on the ANBU's stomach. The Konoha ANBU gasped in pain, breathless from the attack and Kushina then delivered a powerful chop on the back of the ANBU's neck to knock him out, defeating all three Konoha ANBU without taking their life.
"As expected of the woman that was once the host of the Nine-tailed fox…" Tanaka praised and actually gave a little clap.
"Tanaka-san, what are you doing?! What are we going to do?!" The Kumo Jounin exclaimed in panic.
"Calm down idiot, you're a ninja."
"Is this what Kumogakure came for…?" Kushina asked. "For my son and also the Hyuuga bloodline?"
Tanaka made no response and once again formed the same seal he used earlier and channeled chakra towards Kushina but nothing happened. The other Kumo Jounin also by now knew it was useless and Tanaka could not put Kushina under his technique.
"It doesn't work huh…" Tanaka muttered.
Kushina took a quick glance at the unconscious ANBU and then back at the pair of Kumo Jounins. "Mind-control techniques…? And a very advanced one as well…"
Tanaka smirked at Kushina's amazing analytical abilities. "So you've figured it out."
Kushina thought that was the case. When she placed the scroll on one of the ANBU earlier, she noticed that the ANBU lost consciousness immediately. Normally the scroll she used would instead end the life of any hostile being but that would mean the ANBU was fighting Kushina reluctantly. Not to mention that ANBU were the most loyal of shinobis in a village system and spies or agents that were in the ANBU ranks were extremely rare.
'So this woman must have at least a small lineage with the Rikudo Sanin… Well this is not good.' Tanaka thought to himself.
"This is my final warning…" Kushina declared softly. "If you do not hand me the children then I will end your lives today!"
Tanaka laughed at the threat with no fear in his eyes. "If so you say…"
"…Then so be it!"
Kushina formed two seals and from then from the back of her, enteral black chains appeared from her shoulders, the chains swinging wildly and the tip eyeing their prey like a snake would do. Once she was done, Kushina lowered her arms to her side and gave a death glare towards the Kumo Jounin with her black chains swinging threateningly above her.
***Hokage Tower***
The explosions blasted at where the Hokage and his peace representatives sat and the Kumo ANBU along with the officials immediately leaped away with the Kumo ANBU guarding the Kumo officials. The whole hall was filled with dust from the explosions, blurring everyone's vision and the Kumo ANBU used their sense of hearing and smell in an attempt to tell whether the Hokage had fallen, although they themselves highly doubted it.
"You do realize that this is an act of war, do you not?" The voice of Sarutobi echoed from within the dust of smoke.
"I wonder…" was all the Kumo official said in response.
Once the dust had settled, Sarutobi and his officials were revealed unscathed. "I do not know what your Raikage could be thinking to bring back the curtains of war but I will protect the people of Konoha!"
The explosions earlier had already attracted the immediate attention of all Konoha ANBUs and they were all present in the damaged hall, their katana in their hands ready to protect the life of the Hokage.
Hyuuga Hiashi was also safe with his twin brother Hizashi standing precisely in front of Hiashi locked in the Hyuuga stance, his Byakugan activated. The other ANBU were protecting the advisors of the Hokage and from the numbers, Kumo was already outnumbered.
"I have no idea why Kumo would actually think of attacking Konoha with such a small force and within our walls even." Sarutobi pointed out. "Or did you actually think of Konoha so weak to actually be able to not only end my life but also to steal the Byakugan?"
"We have our own reasons to believe that this small group will be enough to take over Konoha." The Kumo official stated. "It will only be a matter of time before you all fall under his power."
"…his power…?"
The Kumo official chuckled and said nothing more. Sarutobi turned towards Ryo and Hizashi. "The two of you head back to the Hyuuga compound. If it is true their aim is to grab hold of the Byakugan, then I have no doubt that Hinata would be their target."
"But…!" Hizashi began to protest but Sarutobi stopped him.
"Your brother can take care of himself. The two of you go, we'll take care of things here…! Once we have them, we'll try and get some information about what their plans are." Sarutobi said with an authoritative tone.
Ryo obeyed without a moment of hesitation and watching Ryo leave the premises, Hizashi followed suit. Sarutobi sighed within his mind, realizing that if war would soon approach Konoha then he was going to be busy again and not to mention that many lives would be lost for no particular reason. All he knew was that he needed to protect the lives of the people here as the Hokage of Konoha.
"I don't know what it is you plan with this suicidal mission," Sarutobi began as he withdrew his Hokage robes, revealing his battle suit underneath. "But I will find out what it is. No Kage in any of the mighty village would send their subordinates to die for no reasons!"
"Believe what you Hokage-sama but we will fight for what we believe in!" The Kumo official replied.
***Hyuuga compound***
Tanaka and Kushina were locked in a duel for some time now. During their fight, Konoha was already aware that Kumogakure's arrival for a peace treaty was nothing but a fraud and had placed the village at high alert and to assist the Hokage or to protect Hyuuga Hinata from falling under the hands of the Kumo.
Of course many of the Hyuuga ninjas that were in the compound and also heard about the news immediately departed towards the main household and found Uzumaki Kushina battling against a Kumo Jounin. However, they also spotted several unconscious Konoha ANBU on the ground and also noticed several other Konoha ninjas nearby, also knocked out.
"Kushina-sama!" One of the Hyuuga called out, entering the battle.
"No don't! Get away from here!" Kushina shouted but it was in vain as Tanaka ceased the opportunity.
Tanaka made a seal and then channeled his power into the Hyuuga immediately. At first nothing happened but then reluctantly the Hyuuga spun around and moved to attack Kushina, the Hyuuga's Byakugan already activated. The surrounding ninjas gasped in horror when they realized that the Hyuuga had joined forces with the Kumo Jounin and was about to attack Kushina.
"What are you doing?!" A nearby Jounin shouted in shock.
All the Hyuuga did was delivering a battle cry and thrust his palm towards Kushina, one of the famed Hyuuga methods of attack. Kushina instead of avoiding the attack stepped forward and at the right moment, grabbed the Hyuuga by the wrist, stopping his attack. She then delivered a powerful enough chop to the back of the Hyuuga's neck, strong enough to knock the Hyuuga out while weak enough to not cause any serious harm. The Hyuuga sputtered in pain before he dropped on his knees and fell on his front, knocked out.
"Everybody!" Kushina barked out. "This guy can put almost anyone under his control so stay out of this! Just guard the perimeter so that he cannot escape and stay out of his line of sight!"
"What?!"
"He can control us…?"
"Get out of here now!" Kushina commanded at the confused ninjas. "You'll all be a burden if he controls somebody else!"
"Ye-Yes, Kushina-sama!" One of the Jounins then gathered up the surrounding ninjas and people and quickly evacuated from the area, leaving Kushina alone with Tanaka.
Tanaka checked his surroundings and saw that no one was present. "Well this is a first for me… Not only are you the first to have actually not fall under my control but you also make this hard by destroying my supply of puppets."
"You're not a puppeteer then." Kushina concluded. "…Because if you were, you could have just controlled these unconscious bodies here, including your friend. Besides most puppeteers are from Sunagakure."
"Useless idiot, he couldn't even land a scratch on you to be useful…" Tanaka referred towards his unconscious partner. "Then again, I guess that is to be expected since it was YOU who fought him."
"…Who are you?" Kushina asked. "To actually successfully mind-control several ANBUs of Konoha so easily… That is a very powerful Genjutsu you're using and yet I have not seen or heard from you."
"Does it matter? The only thing I care is to escape from these walls and you're blocking my escape path."
Kushina smirked at that. "I'll let you go once I have the two children with me."
Tanaka looked behind him at the unconscious Naruto and Hinata, lying next to each other. "Oh I'm afraid I came to Konoha for the girl so I can't leave without her."
"Then you're getting away…"
With that Kushina once more summoned her ethereal black chains to strike at the Kumo Jounin. Despite the speed of the chains, Tanaka was able to avoid them with apparent ease, returning a volley of shurikens and kunai at the red-haired Uzumaki. Using her chains Kushina blocked the waves of shurikens thrown at her, all of them clanking noisily against her chains and dropping towards the soft earth.
Kushina once more threw her black chains towards the Kumo Jounin in a zig-zag manner at a high velocity. Due to the unpredictable movements of the chains, Tanaka knew he could not safely dodge them without injuring himself so instead he formed three seals and then opened the palm of his hands while throwing his left and right hand to his sides respectively. Kushina's chains were about to make contact when suddenly, her chains crashed against an invisible force and could not reach Tanaka. Kushina narrowed her eyes, realizing that whatever the man had created some sort of force field around him.
'What is with this guy…? He cannot possibly be a Jounin level if he can actually dodge my black chains!' Kushina thought and was troubled at her opponent skills. 'Even Minato had to be at attention if he hoped to avoid my chains… And he was also able to easily control the ANBU, not to mention more than five were under his control.
"It's been some time since someone forced me to be on the defensive." Tanaka said with a laugh, clearly enjoying the fight. "But it's time I attack!"
With a set of four seals Tanaka spread his chakra towards the surrounding area instead of throwing it towards Kushina. The red-haired Uzumaki prepared for Tanaka's attack when slowly, she realized that the environment was slowly changing. The Hyuuga houses nearby were gone and replaced with rubbles, the street she was standing on was water and the skies were filled with dark clouds with lightning thundering from above.
'Genjutsu…?' Kushina thought and made then formed a seal. "Release!"
However Kushina waited for a few seconds with no changes in her environment and she tried it once more but nothing happened. Normally Genjutsu would be released from commencing such a move but if it fails, it was because the Genjutsu was far too powerful to be released by one and would require an outside intervention.
"If you think this is a Genjutsu," A voice boomed from the heavens, "Then you are clearly mistaken!"
Kushina looked around her for the source of the voice but she could find nothing. The voice continued. "This whole world resolves only around you… No one else can bring you out of it until I say so! A battle within our minds and once I kill you, you will be crippled in the real world!"
Suddenly the ground began to rumble beneath Kushina's feet and instinct immediately acted on Kushina as she leaped offs the ground. A second later, the earth below Kushina split in half and a large beast emerged with its fangs wide open. Kushina quickly formed several seals and soon enough, the similar white chains that were used to restrain the Kyuubi emerged from Kushina's behind.
The beast was unlike anything Kushina had ever seen. It had the head of a snake and scaly skin but it also had legs like that of a lion. Its eyes were as black as the night stared deep into Kushina and it felt like the beast was staring into her soul. Unable to hold the gaze any longer, Kushina allowed her white chains to attack the unknown beast. Kushina's white chains easily tangled around the beast and penetrated the body of the beast. Unlike the Kyuubi which Kushina could not control, the white chains allowed Kushina to slowly tame the beast. After a moment of struggle, the beast stopped resisting and Kushina had it under control with her chains surrounding the neck of the beast.
"I see I have underestimated you…" The voice spoke, a hint of surprise could be heard, "Alright then let's make this interesting then."
While the battle raged on within the minds of Kushina, on the outside world all it looked like was Kushina standing still with her head down along with the Kumo Jounin. It was the perfect opportunity to strike Tanaka but unfortunately for Kushina, none were watching due to not wanting to fall under the mind-control of Tanaka.
Ryo Azuma and Hyuuga Hizashi entered the Hyuuga compound in a hurry and completely ignored the nearby ninjas that tried to warn them, unaware that the enemy could place anyone under his control. Since Ryo was not overly familiar with the Hyuuga compound, Hizashi was leading the way.
"Hizashi-sama! Thank god you're here!" A voice called out.
Hizashi stopped this time, recognizing the voice, "Iwata? Have you seen Hinata-sama?!"
"Ye-yes! She's under Kumo hands but Kushina-sama arrived as well! She's dealing with one of them right now." The Hyuuga attendant named Iwata explained.
"Where is she?!"
"She-she's still close to the main household..!" Iwata told the brother of Hiashi, "Kushina-sama as-"
"Then I must go! I cannot allow Hinata-sama to be in danger!" Hizashi then ran off.
"Wait Hizashi-sama! You cannot! The enemy…!" However Hizashi ignored it and Iwata realized his master was in trouble.
"What's wrong? You know something that could bring trouble?" Ryo questioned.
"The enemy… The enemy seems to be-be able to put… anyone under his control. According to Kushina-sama, we realized that anyone who shares eye contact with the enemy quickly falls under his control… Even Konoha ANBU was…!" Iwata cringed at the thought.
"In any case we have to stop Hizashi-sama!" Iwata cried, "Even he will fall prey to the mind control technique. One of the Hyuuga earlier tried to help but… he instead caused trouble to Kushina-sama…"
"Kushina is not affected by this mind-control…?" Ryo asked.
"Apparently she's able to not fall under the technique. That's why she's the only hope to beat the enemy and retrieve Hinata-sama unharmed!"
Ryo widened his eyes at the explanation. The more Iwata told him about the enemy's abilities, the more Ryo probably knew who the enemy was.
'A mind-control user that surpasses even the Genjutsu training of the ANBU… And if Kushina is able to resist the power, I think I already know why… Just like how I saved her in the past because she had some link to the Rikudo Sanin… So, it looks like he's made his presence!'
"Alright, I'm going… I'll try to prevent Hizashi from falling under the guy's technique!" Ryo decided, grabbing his gigantic blade from his back.
"Wait Ryo-sama! You'll also-"
"Don't worry," Ryo replied back as he chakra sprinted in Hizashi's direction, "I'm not going to fall to it. I can't anyway."
Iwata realized it was hopeless to stop Ryo as well as the blue-haired Guardian disappeared out of the attendant's sight. He only hope and prayed that Hinata was safe and Hizashi would not carelessly throws his life away in this battle.
When Hizashi finally arrived at the Hyuuga main household, he spotted several dead bodies belonging to Hyuuga attendants that worked for his brother. It was then that Hizashi spotted Kushina in what appeared to be a trance.
Kushina was not the only one in a trance however. On the opposite side, a man donning a Kumo Jounin vest. Between them were several Konoha ANBU lying on the ground, unconscious and a Kumo Jounin as well. Hizashi guessed they were part of the fight earlier.
Hizashi ran towards Kushina, his Byakugan active and seeing that Kushina's chakra flow was normal and not under Genjutsu.
"Kushina…. You okay?" Hizashi asked but received no response.
On the other end of the park, Hizashi saw the Kumo Jounin was also in the same trance. Hinata and Naruto were still knocked out close to the Kumo Jounin. On Kushina's back were her black chains but the black chains were not moving and touching the ground.
'What is going on?' Hizashi thought, 'Kushina's chakra flow is normal so she's not under Genjutsu… But she's not responding to me!'
Hizashi's Byakugan covered a wide area and could see what his eyes could not. To his left, he spotted Ryo entering the fray of the battle but instead Ryo went towards the Kumo Jounin in a trance, his blade held high above his head.
"Die!" Ryo screamed.
At the last moment, before Ryo's blade could slice Tanaka in half, Tanaka opened the palm of his hands and thrust both arms forward as if pushing Ryo. An invisible force proceeded to shove Ryo backwards with such a force that Ryo crashed through a tree, breaking the bark of the tree. Ryo groaned in pain and slowly got back to his feet, not knowing what had happened.
However Kushina was thrown out of her trance and realized she was out of that god-forsaken world. She quickly got back her bearings and saw that Tanaka was still present as well with her son and Hinata by his feet.
The red-haired Uzumaki then realized Hizashi was next to her.
"Hizashi-sama? What are you doing here?" Kushina questioned in surprise.
"Kushina! You're alright!"
"Yeah… I just engaged him but he's quite persistent. He's trying to get Hinata and my son." Kushina explained.
"What can you tell me about him?" Hizashi demanded, glaring with hate at the man.
Kushina nodded and glared at Tanaka, "He's strong… He somehow put me in a comatose state while battling within our minds. It was a tough fight since he controlled that battle but you helped bring me out of that place by attacking him."
"Hizashi-sama, deactivate your Byakugan and don't look at him in the eye." Kushina instructed.
"Huh…? Why?"
"Just do it!"
Hizashi obeyed quickly and looked elsewhere. Kushina was considered one of the top kunoichis of Konoha and he knew that Kushina probably knew something about Tanaka's abilities that could endanger him.
"This guy seems to be able to put almost anyone under his control. I had a tough time defeating some of the ANBU and other Jounins that fell under his control without hurting them too much. If he gets you to turn on me, then…"
"…Mind-control…? Is it Genjutsu?"
Kushina shook her head, "I don't think so… It seems to be of a much higher level than that. However I realized that he can only put them into his control if they make eye contact with him."
Hizashi nodded and now knew why Kushina told him to deactivate the Byakugan. This was a hard opponent indeed but if simply making eye contact would put others into a mind-control. Hizashi wondered how Kushina fought him but he never got the chance to ask.
Ryo grumbled as he stood next to Kushina, the trio glaring at the man known as Tanaka. Kushina was glad that Ryo was here as well but recalling the power of the enemy, she quickly realized Ryo would become a terrible enemy to face.
"Ryo, Hizashi… You two should get away. This guy can put anyone under his control. It'll be troublesome if you guys turn against me." Kushina declared.
"Don't worry Kushina," Ryo responded, "He can't control me; the same reason why he can't control you."
Kushina looked at Ryo, her eyes demanding an answer, "What makes you so sure?"
"His powers are not Genjutsu but are of a much higher level where he controls the person's actions at will; almost like a puppet but the user will have no idea he is under control. However his powers have a limitation." Ryo clarified, his eyes never leaving Tanaka.
"A limitation?" Kushina repeated.
"That's right… His powers cannot affect those who are the same kind as him."
"The same kind? What do you mean by that?" Kushina demanded.
Ryo ignored the question, "Kushina… The only reason I was able to save you in the past was because you had some link to Hiro, the Rikudo Sanin. I used that small lineage to save you. Now the reason why the enemy, Tanaka, cannot put you under his control is because you have some direct lineage to the Rikudo Sanin."
"And that is why like you, I cannot fall to his mind-control technique… because I am the same as him." Ryo finished.
At first Kushina thought it was strange Ryo could come up with such a theory but his confidence about the situation and his eyes were those of recognition. Slowly processing the information, Kushina slowly came to a conclusion.
"You can't possibly mean…"
Ryo nodded to confirm her suspicions, "Yes… He's Tanaka 'The Deciver'… And he's a Guardian as well…"

A/N: AND BAM, the arrival of another Guardian in the world of Naruto but he seems to be the enemy this time! Why is he wearing the outfit of a Kumo ninja? Also, he is known as the 'Deceiver.' I'm sure you guys can guess why he is known as a deceiver from his powers so far!
