You guys are hilarious, I haven't even said anything about turning Jade into a werewolf. Jade is going to remain human for a very long time. Sadly, I'm not going to kill off Danny because he is essential to the plot. Buuuut, I missed you guys! I haven't updated lately because I've been going through some things but I'm sorta better now. So enjoy this chapter! Love you guys and thank you for not loosing hope in me or this story 3

"So give me reason, to prove me wrong. To wash this memory clean. Let the floods cross, the distance in your eyes. Give me reason, to fill this hole! Connect the space between! Let it be enough to reach the truth that lies...Across this new divide." ~New Divide-Linkin Park

Victoria

I waited with my pack; including the council members, right on the border of our territory. My pack was lined up in order of the newest generations to it's more senior members from Alpha, Betas, and Omega to the highest council member; Adolfus, to the lowest ranking council member; Aaron.

'What I am I must become

What I see I must try to find

What I hear I must play music to

What I touch I must leave alone

I turn then to all reflections of myself

In trees and sacred things

That nature gives to me' I hear Adolfus chant in my head, pretty soon the rest of the pack joins in as we wait. I keep my head bowed and my eyes shut for a moment out of respect for the prayer. The air was thick with the anticipation of the upcoming battle. We had trained all week, we'd barely eaten, never mind sleep. I had been immensely impressed with Danny's growth in strength and speed. His loyalty to the Ojibwa pack will be tested today, when he chooses to fight. I stopped in my musings once the familiar stench of Iroquois reached my nostrils. I let out a low growl, and everyone straightened up. My eyes scanned furiously for the enemy pack. Pretty soon Quinn's blonde form emerged from the underbrush on her side of the clearing. Rachel, and the rest of the Iroquois pack, slunk in behind their Alpha, low growls rumbling in their chests. Quinn let out a bark of laughter. I snarled.

"Do you really think your pack is strong enough to take on mine?" Quinn snarled. There was an outburst of amused howls from her pack, as they examined my own. There were only thirteen members in my pack, Quinn's pack held considerably a few more than mine.

"I'm going to give you one last chance, to walk away Quinn. Let your family live." I growled. For a few moments we all stood there, just glaring at each other. Our packs, waiting for their alphas' commands.

"I'm really going to enjoy killing you." Quinn growled. Danny was starting to grow antsy, with a small bark he tried to cross the border. I growled at him, to keep him in place.

"I'll defiantly enjoy mating with Jade." Sinjin barked, making my head snap in the other pack's direction. I roared at the one-eyed blonde wolf before leaping across the border and sinking my teeth into his neck fur just below his muzzle. As soon as I'd regained my footing, the shuffling sounds of wolves fighting echoed around me. I focused on trying tear Sinjin's throat out. His obsession with Jade automatically made him the first on my hit-list. Plus, it's freaking creepy. He let out a loud yelp, before he started snapping at my scruff. A sharp pain in my right hind leg, made me growl in both pain and frustration. Only moving my eyes, I saw Quinn's muzzle attached to my leg. She growled and tightened her hold on it. Her mate, Rachel, barreled into me. Sending all four of us in the air, we crashed through a couple of trees, before we harshly landed on the snowy ground. During the fall, we'd been separated. I blinked a few times then dazedly staggered to my paws, a roar ripped through the air and soon sharp teeth and claws were digging into my Hind. I snarled as I felt another heavy weight land on my back and then sink it's teeth into my scruff. I tried in vain to get the two offenders off, but the more I tried the drowsier I became. I panted, and my legs shook but I refused to lay down. Quinn's large form towered over me, where I half stood, half crouched.

"Give it up, Victoria, you've lost." She growled. I could see, just barely, her lips curl up into a sort of smirk.

"I'll be sure to give Jade your regards." She snarled. My pupils widened as she growled one last time and then lurched forward, and sunk her sharp canines into my neck. A sickening crack echoed through the air, and suddenly it got very hard to breathe...

Jade

Sweat rolled down my throat and onto my chest. I panted as I struggled to pull my self above the metallic, exercise bar that was hung in one of the door frames in Kyle's basement. A loud rock song, that i didn't recognize, blasted from his radio. I glanced over at my step brother who was supervising me from his perch; a comfy chair, as he cleaned a crossbow. Have you ever had to do three hundred and sum pull ups in a row? Not fun.

"So...This is what you did, when you had to train?" I grunted out between pull ups. I peeked over the exercise bar to get a look at him. He laughed then smirked.

"Only about two hundred a day, and that's just pull ups. I still had to jog around the woods, and do push ups, and pretty much anything else Julie ordered me to." Kyle answered. I groaned as I pulled myself up again.

"Wonderful." I commented sarcastically. Kyle chuckled then shook his head.

"You're the one who wanted to do this, Jade." He said, with a certain satisfaction that I'd say he was getting a kick out of my pain. My arms were shaking, my muscles were practically screaming at me to stop.

"I'm doing...this for Vic...so she won't...have to...go out of her way...to protect me." I panted. Kyle looked up at me, there was something akin to realization and understanding in his eyes as he stared. He sighed gently, then put his crossbow down.

"To my count, that's been about three hundred and ninety-eight...do two more and you're done." He said as he got up. I did the two pull ups, barely, before letting go and dropping to the hard floor. I breathed heavily...my arms felt numb. Kyle squatted next me, and offered me a water bottle. Shakily, I reached up and took it.

"I already opened it for you...you've done good this week, Jade. I'm proud of you." He said honestly, as I took large gulps from the ice cold water bottle.

"Thanks." I grunted. He moved to stand in front of me. He offered me his hand and I gladly took it. He helped me to the chair he had just occupied moments before.

"You keep going on like this, and you'll be hunting supes in no time." Kyle praised. I merely glanced at him then began to drink the rest of my water. I started to stand and winced.

"Where are you going?" Kyle asked, confused.

"Vic's...I haven't seen her in a week. I'm kinda worried about her." I answered.

"Oh," Kyle said with a nod.

"Hey, what happened to that witch girl you used to hang out with?" He asked as we walked to the front door. I blinked.

"Cat? I don't know...I just sort of figured she was still mad at me for the whole...'having sex with Beck' thing." I answered. Kyle cringed, face full of disgust.

"Thanks for the image, Jade..." He said sarcastically. He rubbed the back of his neck and then looked at me.

"Well, maybe you should talk to her...it's never good to have a witch for an enemy." Kyle reasoned. My jaw clenched and my eyes narrowed.

"Are you saying I should forgive her for ridiculing me for my choice in sexual partners?" I demanded. Kyle took a step back and put his hands up in surrender.

"Uh, no. I was just saying that it'd be bad to have a witch as an enemy...it was just a suggestion...a very stupid suggestion..." Kyle gulped, as he back into a wall.

"So, uhm, maybe you should get going...wouldn't want to keep Vic waiting...heh." He said chuckling nervously. I gave him one last once over, before heading out the door. I grumbled to myself as I trudged through the snow on the forest floor. I was almost to the Ojibwa cabin when a sudden rustling in a nearby bush caught my attention. I raised an eyebrow as I stared suspiciously at the bush. A large gray wolf poked it's head through the bush. It snarled at me, and slowly approached me. My eyes grew wide as it stood, towering in front of my. It growled and dipped it's head so that I was staring into it's yellow eyes. I swallowed and started to slowly back up. Of course a stupid branch was laying right behind me, and I tripped. My back hit the snow, and the giant wolf was slowly approaching me again. It snarled and licked it's lips as it got closer. I squeezed my eyes shut and hoped that being mauled by a giant wolf wouldn't hurt as much as it sounded.

Danny

I growled once I had defeated my foe, a dark brown wolf that couldn't have been much older than me. A loud howl from my Alpha echoed through the woods. I whimpered, then looked at Andre; who had just defeated his opponent. He dipped his head once, then threw back his head to let out a howl which called all the wolves of our pack, minus Vic, to him. We regrouped and soon found out that our side was winning. Quinn's pack lost a bunch of their wolves, and now a bunch of 'human' bodies littered the battle ground.

'Find the Alpha.' Andre snarled to us. Faintly, I heard a human's heart beating rapidly...they were scared. I quickly recognized the scent as Jade's. As much as I wanted to help her, I had an Alpha to find...plus I wouldn't mind having Vic all to myself. If I had been in my human form, I would've been smirking. I growled then raced off to find Vic, with Andre and Sherry on my flank. It was surprisingly easy to find her; she, Quinn, Rachel, and Sinjin didn't get that far away from everybody else. When Andre, Sherry, and I arrived to the scene it looked as though they tore Vic's throat out, her blood colored the snow. Quinn was standing above her, her muzzle covered in Vic's blood. Rachel and Sinjin were circling the two. I growled then leapt at Quinn, affectively tackling her to the ground away from Vic. Andre went after both Sinjin and Rachel; they cowered down easily, as Sherry set to work on healing Vic's wounds with her tongue. I growled and faced Quinn.

"You killed my mother, and attacked my bond!" I accused in a growl.

"They deserved it!" She roared then leapt at me, only to be caught in jaws and slammed into the snow. She looked up at me with astonishment and fright in her eyes.

Victoria

I took in a much needed breath and then sprung to my feet. I growled a thank you to Sherry for healing me, then went straight to Rachel. Andre had her and Sinjin cowering in the snow. I snatched her by the scruff, and drug her directly into Quinn's line of sight. Danny had the blonde wolf pinned to the ground.

"Quinn!" I snarled to get her attention. Her hazel eyes snapped up to meet mine, they then dropped to Rachel. Quinn whimpered and tried get out from under Danny, to no avail. I clenched my jaws until I heard the crunch of Rachel's skin breaking. She yelped as her blood trailed down her body and pooled up in the snow.

"You have choice Quinn...You can leave here with the remaining members of your pack and Rachel...alive, or you watch as I kill every last member of your pack...starting with your mate." I snarled through a mouthful. Quinn seemed to consider her options, unfortunately for her I didn't like to wait. I clench my jaw tighter, more of Rachel's blood spilled onto the snow as she yelped and whimpered in agony.

"Okay!" Quinn whimpered.

"You've come to a decision then?" I barked.

"Yes! We'll leave!" She growled.

"And never come back." I snarled.

"Yes! Alright! Fine!" She growled. I snorted then tossed Rachel over to Quinn. Rachel whimpered pathetically, as Quinn helped her up. Quinn called the rest of her pack, as I did mine. Just as the rest of the wolves filed in, loud beating echoed in my ears. And for a second I was seeing through the eyes of Jade. A giant gray wolf from Quinn's back was closing in on her...Jade was in danger. I snarled and ordered my pack to escort Quinn's to their territory, before I raced off to help Jade. The gray wolf had Jade on her back, Jade looked paler than usual. Her blue eyes met mine and a tiny bit of relief seemed to flow through her. Seeing the pure terror in her eyes fueled me. I roared then charged at the other wolf. I landed on his back and soon we were rolling around in the snow tearing into each other. In a short amount of time I had managed to get him on the ground. He had done a lot of damage to me, but I inflicted worse on him.

"P-Please...spare me." He whimpered as he peered up at me through one eye; his other eye had blood running down it. I snarled then ripped out his throat, just as he let out one last yelp of pain. I growled triumphantly. My eyes found Jade yet again she was carefully walking toward me, soft growls left my throat as she came to stand in front of me. She quietly shushed me, then softly ran her hands through my fur. I closed my eyes, then felt her small forehead lean gently against my own huge one. I had been so afraid that she'd be scared of me...hell I was scared of me. Between what happened with Quinn and just now with this gray wolf, I was beginning to think that I was loosing myself to the more animalistic side of me. But no, Jade was still here...she was still beside me. I gently nuzzled her...she was right where she belonged.

It was just after midnight when I was Jade home, I felt confident. My pack won, and Jade was safe...for now at least. We reached her porch when a thought popped into my head.

"Hey, Jade..." I said earning her attention. She looked at me with an eyebrow raised. I swallowed, she looked so beautiful with the moonlight reflecting off of her black hair.

'Focus, Vic!' I mentally hissed at myself.

"I...uhm...What are we?" I asked glancing at the ground then back up at her. She blinked.

"Uhm...a human and a werewolf?" She said, unsure. I gaped at her for a minute before face palming myself.

"N-No...I mean what are we relationship wise?" I clarified as I massaged the bridge of my nose. It was Jade's turn to stare at me for awhile.

"I thought you were my girlfriend." She explained slowly as if I couldn't understand what she was saying.

"Oh." I said, then grinned widely. I grabbed her by the waist and squeezed her tightly against my body.

"Good. That's what I thought we were too." I said then pressed a soft kiss to her temple. She smiled then kissed my lips.

"Idiot." She mumbled. I sighed contently, I don't think I've ever been happier.

The little "prayer" that the Ojibwa did was actually an indian poem, that I found on a website. So it's not mine, I did not make that up. Anyway, hope you guys enjoyed this and I shall see you next update ;)
