Yu Kanda had experience much in his life. He had done many odd things in life, but none could compare to his current predicament. Never had he ever believe he'd be carrying merman, who had just recently sprouted legs, bridal style and racing through a expensive mansion as fast as he could. He knocked his former employer and his nice only a few seconds ago, but Kanda knew that Master Tyki would have a full serving staff and bodyguards roaming his mansion that will soon stumble upon their unconscious master. Luckily, after a few days working in the place Kanda already had most of the layout memorized. Kanda made a few sharp turns until he found the grand front door. He quickly covered them merman's head with his cloak, murmuring a soft apology, before carefully lifting him over his shoulders like a sack of potatoes, making look like he was just carrying an heavy load. He prayed to whatever higher being there was as he passed the guard in front of the door, hoping the Moyashi would have enough sense to keep still.

The guard made no move to stop him, as he was used to the quiet samurai's comings and goings. The guard had been given an extra shift so his tired brain did not think of asking the other man about the large bundle, assuming it was just that the master wanted outside the house.

Kanda could not believe the stupidity of the guard as he open the doors for him, allowing him to step out into the night. Kanda assume it was close to midnight. As soon as he was half way down the driveway and the guard closed the door, he repositioned the merman back into the bridle position and took off from the white head. The merman let a large gasp of as the suffocated material was finally lifted and he was allowed to breathe normally again. Allen pouted up at the dark haired human for such treatment, but he knew he had to keep quiet for their escape so he did not voice his displeasure. Kanda exited the estate's property. He decided they needed a place to stay for the night, but it would be difficult to explained the currently naked boy in his arm without people getting the wrong idea and he is arrested for being assume as some pedophile. Plus he was not and expert on mermaid and did not know if they could stay out of water for long without resuming their original form, and by the look of surprise growing legs was new to the merboy, so he would not know either.

So finding clothes and a place to stay was his priority. He knew it was short walk to the nearest town but it could become longer when holding an extra person, even if the said person was really light.

Kanda peered down at his companion. "Moyashi."

Gray eyes looked up at him. "Yes?"

"I am going to try to make you walk again because we have to get to the next town, it is not far, but is rather hard to walk while carrying you. If it's too difficult just lean I'm me and I will guide you," Kanda replied.

Allen simply nodded, he did not want to burden his rescuer. Beside he wanted to test his newly acquired appendages. Carefully Kanda set the coat down of soft grass. Allen wiggled his legs until they were out of coat and brushing against the soft grass. Allen wiggled his toes through the grass, and figured he rather enjoyed the feeling. Kanda then placed a hand gently under the boy's armpit and slowly hoisted him until he shakily stood on his legs. The coat started slipping off of him revealing pale shoulders. Kanda tried his best to ignore this and focused on the task of getting the merman to walk for the first time.

Allen legs instantly gave out and would have had a mouth full grass if Kanda was not holding him up from behind. As it was, Kanda started walking while helping the boy get used to his legs. Allen was starting to get the hang of it and became less dependent. Soon Allen only had to keep a hand on Kanda's arm as they walked towards the decent town ahead. They could soon the bright street light ahead, and the need for clothing became evident as people started passing and staring at the tall dark haired, shirtless man and the albino kid with only a long coat as clothing. Kanda glared at anyone hwo stared, but he was becoming desperate until in an alley he saw a unattended clothes line with a button up white shirt and a pair of dark trouser that seem like they would almost fit the boy. Swiftly and quietly, Kanda snatched the clothes and grabbed Allen, pulling him deeper into the alley. without explaining, Kanda took away the dark coat from the boys body, Allen was too shocked to react, and before he knew it he was being forced into strange apparel that went on not only his arms and chest but also his southern region and legs. Kanda tried his best not to be affected by the appealing boy, but his skin was so smooth and soft, his body had absolutely no hair. A lesser man would have jumped the boy, but Kanda would never do such a thing to such an innocent creature.

Kanda viciously shook his head to get rid of such vile thoughts and return his mind to the task at hand, after Allen was dressed, he looked for shelter. Without a word, he snatches the boy by the arm and pulls him back out into the busy streets of the town. They both are quiet until finally Kanda spots a decent looking inn that looked clean and affordable. Which is what he needed since he always paid in cash, credit cards could be tracked. Once they were in the small, yet warm lobby Kanda approached the man at the desk and slapped down the payment for one night. Wordlessly, the man gave him the key no question asked about Kanda and his young companion. It was a single floor inn and Kanda had requested the one nearest to the back entrance incase they needed to make a quick getaway.

Only when they were behind closed door did Allen ask if he could have some food.

"What do mer people eat?" Kanda asked.

"Well I prefer shellfish over regular fish and I like seaweed and kelp," Allen stated.

"Can you eat human food?"

Allen nodded. "Once Lenalee, my best friend, and me swam to the surface without my father knowledge, and saw the floating device that you human call a boat, but this boat was huge with so many humans eating the strangest things. One of The humans a lot if food stumbled and the food all went overboard. So we decide to try it, and they were really sweet and juicy things, but the had terrible tiny things in the middle that we spat out."

Kanda nodded. "We call those fruit and these things in the middle are called seeds if you put them in the ground they will grow more fruit."

Allen's eyes widen with the new knowledge. He could wait to tell Lenalee all the new things he was learning. But the thought of her made him sad with longing for his home, father and friends. Strange liquid formed in the corner of his eyes, Allen quickly realized it was water, he started panicking. "kanda there us strange water coming from my eyes!"

Kanda looked at Allen and saw little tears dripping down his pale cheeks. "They are called tears humans make them when they are sad, I guess being in water you would know that. Are you sad about something?"

Allen nodded. "I miss my home, my heart and soul aches for being so faraway from everything I love."

Kanda sighed, he may have many talent and abilities but comforting other was something he fell short at. Not knowing what else to do he engulfs Allen into a hug and whispers into his ear, "I promise I will get you home, Prince Allen."
