Nevertheless Enjoy! ^-^

The morning with you

She woke up because of her dry throat. Her head hurt when she opened her eyes slowly, they instantly closed. The cushion was just too damn comfortable. She shifted her right foot a little, which now joined the other under the cover. She felt cold and embraced her knees under the sheet. She suddenly realised that she didn't wear her armor and breathed deeply in. It was so relaxing. This scent was a bit minty and manly and so relaxing. She regonized it. It was very familiar and calmed her down. Even her head seemed to stop hurting. She wanted to continue sleeping, but her tummy told her that it was already way too late. This scent … hmm … this scent was all she needed. This scent, which wasn't her own. … When a thought hit her head, she momentarily straightened herself and opened her eyes. That wasn't a good idea, 'cause she suddenly felt dizzy and began massaging her nosebridge. 'Argh' What happened...

Her eyes slowly were starting to scan the place. The ceiling, the furniture, the accessories, the smell, everything remembered her of a certain ice mage.

This couldn't be Gray's place, right? But when she stood up, she caught a glimpse of black hair on the sofa at the end of the room. Naturally he slept without a shirt, that's totally him. She walked to him and stopped right before him. His left arm hang behind his head from the sofa and his other arm laid casually on his chest. He looked so peaceful. So innocent. Her eyes wandered from his head to his neck and his shoulders. He really changed and there, was that a new scar on his collarbone? She got closer to examine it. She didn't realise that she put her left hand on his chest, right next to his hand. She focused on the spot and kept looking from different angles at his collarbone. At last she found out, that it was just a trick of the light. Relaxed she moved back and felt her hand getting entwined with the hand of someone else. „Huh?" Just now she realised what she was doing and tried to pull her hand away, but his damn hand wouldn't let her go. Suddenly his other hand grabbed her waist, or better tried to grab her waist, because Erza pushed him away. That's when his eyes opened and he stared at her or was she staring at him? „What are you doing Erza?", said Gray as he got up and sat on the sofa, her hand still in his hand.

„What do you mean? Don't you think the question is why are you here?", replied the red haired. He looked confused. „Me? Wait! This is my home, so it's rather why are you here?" He studied her. She closed her eyes and in the very moment she pulled her hand away and crossed her arms. She looked a little bit pissed. „Mr. Fullbuster I don't have any memory from walking to your place, so could you explain me... WHY THE HELL am I here?!", yelled Erza. He instantly moved back, but tried to hold eye contact with her. „Erza... you were drunk and you fell asleep and there wasn't any other possibility as to drag you to my place", he answered firmly. Silence followed. She stood up and went to the door. „Should I remind you, that you had a tiny appointment with some other guild members, maybe your best friends and you didn't even had time to show yourself or explain why you couldn't come?", she turned herself to him with her hand on the door knob. „Wait! I can explain it! But before that do you want something to eat?" He stood up a little too fast., because he felt dizzy and tried to grab his head with one hand. The other hand searched for something to steady himself. „I do remember I drank a little bit with Cana, but I do hope you drank nothing?!", she began. Gray straightenend himself after he took sometime to focus on this new situation. He looked at her. Did she just blushed? „No I drank nothing, I just dragged you here. That's all.", he explained and went to open the door for her. He really needed an ice coffee right now. A really good brain freeze, that was what he needed. When was the last time, he really felt cold? He opened the door for Erza. „Is something wrong?", he started when she didn't move. She took a breath and shook his head. He hear her murmuring: „I just hope that's true". What was she thinking about? Seriously I don't get her.

Before they started eating a rather simple breakfast with some coffee and toasts, Erza wanted to go to the bathroom. While her absence Gray sat himself on one of his two chairs. His apartment was pretty simple with just the most important things in it. Just a small place. He didn't need something fancy. He took a big gulp from his ice coffee, when his bell rang. He looked at his wall clock. It was almost 10 o'clock. He didn't remember making an appointment and who wanted to see him this early in the morning? He took his coffee with him and strolled to his door.

Outside was a very cheerful Juvia. He blinked surprised. „Good morning Gray-sama! I wish you a wonderful day!", said Juvia smiling. He scratched his head and replied: „Morning, Juvia. Can I help you with something?" Juvia blinked some times, still staring at him she continued: „Gray-sama can always be a help for Juvia, but originally Juvia came to give you this". She pulled something from behind her back. It was a flat package, in the size of a small book. „Please take it", she insisted. Gray didn't know what to do, but decided to accept politely, because he hardly could close the door again. „Thanks Juvia, but you didn't have to. Nonetheless what is it?", he asked now curious. „Open it", she smiled and moved closer to him. For a moment he was thinking to invite her in, but he suddenly remembered that he wasn't alone at home. What should he do? „Oh, Juvia can hold on to your coffee, while you open Juvia's present". Before he even could thank her, he already had only the present in his hands. He just decided to open it. It was pretty well packed and wasn't that easy to open. Some wrapping paper and hundred tapes later, he finally hold a card in his hand. He stood dumbfound. Seriously? She could have used an envelope. The card seemed to be selfmade. On the cover was himself and Juvia walking hand in hand along a beach. He opened it, inside laid a picture, which he totally forgot about. He gulped and looked at Juvia again, carefully concentrating on not dropping the present. „Gray-sama? You don't look good. Not that you DON'T look GOOD, but you DON'T look SO GOOD AS ALWAYS. Oh and the picture is from the Kiwai-event, you remember, don't you? I figured you might want one as well and for the case you want to have a poster...", she pulled another image out and presented it to him in full glory. „NO! You didn't have to do that! The small is enough for me really!", he insisted and started blushing and feeling extremely uncomfortable.

„GRAY? WHAT ARE YOU YELLING THAT MUCH?!", yelled someone from inside his apartment. He froze and stiffed. „Huh? Did I just hear Erza? Was that Erza Scarlet?", asked Juvia shocked and tried to enter his aparment. „NO! That was probably..." He tried to stop her and suddenly saw her eyes opening wide. Too late... „Oh Juvia. Good Morning!", waved the red haired. Gray then moved back from the door and let Juvia in. „Erza? What are you doing here? Isn't it a bit early and why do you wear one of Gray's shirt?!", Juvia started shaking, that's when Erza looked at herself. How did she end up in this? She glared at the ice mage. „It isn't how it looks like, I just couldn't let you sleep in your armor..", Gray explained. „WHAT?! Erza? How could you sleep at Gray's home, when your home isn't 10 minutes away from here. What...?", Juvia started crying. Erza wanted to comfort her and moved closer, when she caught the sight of a poster. Juvia must have dropped it. She picked it up and from the poster looked Gray and a smiling Juvia at her. She hugged him. Not that it was something new, but Erza suddenly felt terrible. She reequipped herself in her armor and laid her hand on Juvia's shoulder. „Hey... Nothing happened and it won't. Gray is just... a friend, that's why he lent me his shirt and I didn't slept her, because I wanted to... It was just a coincidence, so smile again okay? And here is the poster. How about going with Gray on a mission? Just the two of you, hmm?", suggested Erza with a vague smile. Juvia stopped sobbing and nodded. „You're right. Juvia was just exaggerating. Sorry. Gray! How about taking on a mission with Juvia?" Gray stared at Erza the whole time and didn't move when she went to the door. „You better go with her", she murmured with a hint of anger and something else, something like disappointment and left his house. His eyes followed her all the way, without saying anything. Something inside him started to stab him and his feet wanted to follow her, but he knew it wasn't the time for him. What did he do wrong? He remembered last night, where he enjoyed the silence of the night while walking down the streets with someone else on his back. That probably was just a dream, wasn't it? He shook his head and turned to Juvia. Nothing changed, right?
