Whoo! My PC went off on me, and I (finally) got it back to normal (fixed) :P And I've got this all spruced up for you guys last night and most of the morning! =) So here it is, the final chapter!

As always, many many thanks to everyone who reads/reviews/ or what have you! And a big thanks to Childatheart28 who has been so much help, and cured my writers' block more than once.

As always, I don't own Sherlock(Moffat, Gatiss, and the BBC does)...or Donald Sutherland =(...or aliens...or YouTube...I own Nick XD

"Why had my well-meant inquiries been met with secrecy? Why had these "consultants" welcomed me into their home openly, only to throw eggs at me later?"

The footage of Nick first spotting Mycroft exit 221B is shown. Curiously, his face is blurred.

"But as luck would have it, I soon found the answers I needed. I saw a mysterious Man in Black leave 221B Bakerstreet, and imagine my surprise when I was fortunate enough to catch a few words with this "Man", who later revealed himself to me, but requested to stay anonymous-"

"ANONYMOUS!?" John screamed.

"In a sense of the word, after all-"

"We could have had our faces blurred?!" John and Lestrade voiced in unison.

"Yes! I thought people like you watched these sort of things, isn't it common practice?"

Both men looked at him angrily, though they knew it wasn't Mycroft Holmes they should be angry with. Though Lestrade admitted that the legality had been worked with Scotland Yard before the interview, so really had the "powers that be" thought it necessary then more than likely something would have been done.

Poor John on the other hand, his hands holding his head at the moment, was cursing Nick, himself, and everyone else in the world! Of course! All they had to do was probably ask him the pixel their faces, change their voices too! Why hadn't he thought of it? Or read that waver, Karelees carried with him that they signed?

Oh, it was all so stupid!

"Is it really that bad?" Molly asked.

"If anything this only shows Mr. Karelees is...off."

"And he hasn't"

"Body Snatched!" Rang loudly from the television, interrupting Mary and causing everyone to look towards the television. The word 'body snatched' flashed across the screen, with several clips featuring a mustached Donald Sutherland.

"What you are about to hear...May be shock you."

[Played from tape recorder. It should be noted, what was Mycroft's voice had been altered to a low gutter-like sound.]

(The is a rustling sound that is most likely Nick's jacket pocket against the recorder.)"-I can admire the effort you put into your inquiries."

"Thank you."

"Though, surely you can agree there is a line between-"

"Where do you find yourself in the (more haze as Nick adjusts in his seat) case?"

"I was not involved with that particular case, I-"

"Have you seen the video in question?"

"That is not what I have met with-"

(Even more static and haze making the next few sentences unintelligible. Meanwhile Lestrade remarks how that is one way to not be misquoted. At that moment the haze stops and there is a loud clunk! showing the recorder had hit the table and we catch the last few words from Mycroft)"unpleasant for them and many involved."

"Ah."

(There is a loud beeping, perhaps indicating the battery life is low on the device.)"- I only ask, that you cease all inquiry of Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson."

[Cut back to Nick]

"As I was advised, I looked to all I had gathered"

"..."

There was only silence from the audience. All wondering how did Nick get body snatchers from his talk with Mycroft, and it was also at that moment everyone (save the Holmes brothers who of course figured it out long ago) realised that Nick Karelees was quite insane.

"-and I also took into account what I discovered upon a second, agreed, meeting."

Not bothering to explain how he had gotten Sherlock and John to agree to a second interview, considering the footage he had previously shown, the screen ran to Sherlock, sitting in front of a camera.

Nick is heard asking something, but intelligible.

"I promise, as I said before, extraterrestrials have no place in this-"

"Then why all this secrecy?"

"...There isn't any..."

"...I-"

"Mr. Karelees, this is your last chance to actually attain the "truth" you think you want. You can do so by asking real questions and putting you ,quite frankly inept, among other things, suspicions aside."

The same footage quickly flashes across the screen, and then we are shown John's interview.

"...At least he's using clips from the good film, John." Lestrade muttered.*

"Mr. Holmes and I stand by what we said earlier, there is no paranormal activity here, and if there-"

"If not, than wh-"

"LET ME FINISH!"

Nick is quiet.

"If there was any, wouldn't the video have been taken down? Also I doubt if it was anything serious you would have been able to speak-"

The frame freezes and closes in on John's face, Nick is heard speaking over, "How would Dr. Watson know alien protocol? Such as, why would a Man in Black make stops to 221B after the taped meet? The hostility-"

"You're kidding me..."

"Like I said, he's showing clips from the good film."

"That's true..." John agreed.*

"However!"

The screen switches to what could only be Mycroft, face pixellated, voice altered.

"I understand-"

John promptly turns the telly off. He sits in place for a while, as those around him stay silent. After sometime, John finally seethes: "Well...at least he didn't say we're lovers."

"...Joh-"

"No!"

"You didn't even know what I was going to say."

"No, I am not turning it back on!" He snapped at Sherlock.

Everyone was silent once more, staring at the blank television. Finally Mycroft offered, "As I said before John, this show isn't exactly a favorite in its home country. I doubt anyone of any real importance (to you or otherwise) saw it."

"Thanks." Was the quiet reply. He gave the remote to Lestrade.

"Why-"

"Because Sherlock!"

Had they seen the end of the program, they would have known Mr. Karelees, by word of a coroner (who like Mycroft had their face pixellated and voice altered) confirmed it was in fact a bus that killed Mr. Jones, not an alien abduction.

Like many shows such as The Monster Truth, it was posted to YouTube and that is how it came to be (along with Mary's insistence that they should at least finish the episode) John and Sherlock found themselves standing over Mary's shoulder at watching what had already proved to be a train wreck.

"It is quite clear, from the the footage the CCTV caught."

[We are shown footage of the same luminescent figure running across an urban street, and bus is about to hit him, but the screen cuts back to Nick before the impact is seen.]

"It could have been faked." Nick interrupts.

"No...it really couldn't be. You can see here," The Coroner held up a picture, "These marks on-"

"What makes you so sure the footage is genuine?"

The picture cuts to a pixellated Mycroft who answers, "Well it's not just the footage, there are witness reports, the markings on the body, surely the lacerations are more likely to suggest a bus, rather than any such marking that could be left by any sort of outer planetary being."

"I see." Nick responds. The screen then cuts to a previously unseen portion of Sherlock's second interview.

"Well, Mr. Karelees, consider the past reports of such abductions. Common, isn't it for the...beings, let's say, to leave a message, be it markings or what have you, on said abductees, and the body of Mr. Boyd had no such trace of any foreign marks."

Nick's eyes grew large. "Mr. Holmes, I was not aware!"

"Just so, I suppose if aliens were a factor in all this, surely you would have heard from those who reported seeing some sort aircraft-if the beam seen emitting in the sky was truly caused by extraterrestrials."

"Well, that's not always the case, he he, got you there!"

"I suppose so. But isn't also common for a relapse in memory? While Dr. Watson and I remember the event perfectly, you spoke to the officers present as well? And DI Lestrade had some missing fragments of memory?"

"Yes."

"Only DI Lestrade? Is it not common for such to be more wide-spread? Would not all report some sort of memory loss?"

Mary and John looked to the tall detective, who at that moment had the trace of a very pleased smile threatening to fully form. However all suggestion of such vanished when he saw John's face.

"What?"

"...You could have told me about," He gestured wildly to the laptop screen, "this! That!...I wouldn't think your hard drive would be able to keep information about...alien abductions..."

This last part was said with a certain level of snarkiness, and was returned just so.

"Well, I didn't know you'd cry and turn the telly off, did I?"

"I didn't cry. I was pissed off, and rightly so, actually."

"You cried after every one left. The door to your room was open, and you had your head in Mary's arms-"

"Sherlock, don't make me change my mind about moving in til the wedding!" John snapped.

"...Sorry." Was the meek reply.

"John..?" Said Mary urged, as a mother would to two siblings.

"...I didn't mean to snap at you."

Turning their attention back to the laptop, Nick ended the episode, stating only, "Aliens? Or a poor, desperate man, who suffered from the result of his own crime? Perhaps we may never know, and perhaps...one day we will."

The credits than began to roll, and the video stopped.

Mary turned the laptop off, and offered the comfort that at least neither of them would have to see him again, as long as another video didn't make its way to the internet.

"Well if it does, now we know not to grant interviews, don't we?" Sherlock smirked, at his friend.

[Two months later]

"So apparently, they had to burn all traces of the episode. As it turns out Mr. Jones' sister, Dani, had no idea about any of it, took him to court, and won."

John only replied,"Good for her."

"The show's still running, but that episode in particular can't air." The DI explained, "Alright, so we've already checked, and there's no sign any of this is radioactive, but...well you'll see."

He led the two men inside, pass the other officers, and onto the crime scene. Gruesome, to say the least. The poor man had been stabbed several times, but the odd factor? His blood, appeared to glow of blue, and his eyes, that remained open, were now completely sliver.

Sherlock approached the body with caution, and at a reasonable distance. His eyes widened in curiosity.

"He had no identification on him, no phone, wallet, driver's license, etc. We took his fingerprints a few moments ago, so hopefully we will know who this poor fellow is in a few days. The weapon wasn't-" Lestrade stopped, seeing John had left his side, finding the shorter man some paces behind him.

John stood with Anderson's phone in hand, then broke it in half and threw it far behind them.

"Are you really this stupid?! Or is this just a thing with you?! You're not twelve years old, SO CUT OUT THIS FILMING AND POSTING CRAP! DO YOU WANT HIM TO COME BACK HERE?!" He screamed.

"Anderson go over there!" Lestrade yelled, pointing to a vacant area outside of the police tape. "Go over there AND TURN AROUND PLEASE!Thank you!...And have some respect for the dead..."

"Moron." Sherlock said under his breath.

"Idiot." Lestrade muttered to himself.

"If he does that again I'll kill him..." John thought venomously.

*My headcanon (for what ever weird reason) has Lestrade as a Sci-Fi fan :P, but not enough to like The Monster Truth.

*And he got John into it, apparently.

Many thanks to all who've read this! And for your patience ;)
