Yay! So I'm back! Sorry for the wait guys! Also...yay Ariana got a record deal and I wish I was in fucking Ohio, but NOOO nothing like that ever works out for me. Enjoy the chapter!
Disclaimer: If I owned these people I wouldn't just be sitting here writing a story dude! I'd be out playing with my freshly bought actors!
Avan POV
It was just me and her, alone. No one to tell us what to do right now. No one to say 'cut' and end this moment.
No, this was us. It was real.
I felt her start to shiver, and immediately felt bad for not forcing her to go inside while I have a jacket on.
We went inside and I took my jacket off and saw how covered in snow she had been.
"I'm c-cold." She stuttered.
She sat down on her bed and pulled on the edge of my shirt so I sat next to her, wrapping an arm around her shoulders.
"Will you stay with me tonight?" She asked.
"If that's what you want." I agreed.
Liz POV
I smiled and leaned on him a bit more, relaxing.
"But what will you wear for pajamas?" I asked.
"I could run back to my room-"
"No! I don't want you to leave. You can sleep in what you normally sleep in."
"My boxers?" He raised an eyebrow.
"I'll keep you warm." I said, laughing a bit.
He put his hands up in mock surrender. "Boxers it is, then."
I went through my suitcase and grabbed a pair of black fuzzy pajama pants and a tank top and went to the bathroom to change. I came out and pulled Avan with me onto the bed.
He put his arms around me and I pulled up the blankets around us, snuggling closer to him as I did so.
"Love you, Avan." I said without thinking.
He didn't even hesitate. "I love you too, Liz."
I closed my eyes and I fell asleep without any trouble that night, warm and safe in Avan's arms.
I felt someone begin to stir and I woke up with a jolt, then, seeing it was Avan, I lay back down and looked at the time. Only 7:30 in the morning. But Ariana would be coming by soon, to make sure I've got everything packed and ready to head back to our house.
I leaned closer to Avan and kissed him gently to wake him up.
"That's a pretty nice way to wake up." He muttered pulling me closer.
"Yes it is," I said kissing him again.
He intertwined our fingers and opened his eyes sleepily.
"Good morning, Liz," He said grinning.
"Good morning," I replied.
He pulled me on top of him and put his other hand in my free one.
I leaned down and kissed him, because I felt like it, and granted his tongue access as he deepened the kiss.
Then I broke the kiss.
"Yes?" He asked.
"Ariana is supposed to be stopping by soon to make sure I'm ready to go…" I trailed off, drawing a circle on his stomach.
"So I should probably be heading out to get dressed and get ready to go as well." He said.
"Well, you don't have to. We could just let Ariana know we're together. We could let everyone know…"
"Liz," he said, putting a hand in mine. "I'm too close to eighteen and you're still sixteen."
"Then maybe we should tell them before more girls decide they want you. And so what if you're almost eighteen."
"I'm not breaking what we have, Liz." He assured me, seeing the hurt.
"Promise?" I asked.
"I promise. I love you," He kissed me again before we both got up.
He threw on his jeans and t-shirt and I stayed in my pajamas and sat on the bed, watching him.
"I really don't wanna go," He said kissing my neck.
I ran my hands through his hair and pulled him back gently.
"I'll see you later at the set," I told him.
He nodded, kissing me one more time before he left.
A lot of people would say that our relationship was rushed, but I disagreed. A relationship was only rushed if you and your partner thought it was. Avan and I, well, we knew a lot about each other, and we still had a lot to learn, but our relationship was solid; I trusted him and he trusted me.
I had gotten dressed in a pair of blue jeans and a gray t shirt by the time Ariana knocked on the door.
I opened it and felt two arms go around my neck and hug me tightly.
"Good morning to you, too, Ari." I said, hugging back and smiling.
"Oooh, I love your necklace! Where'd you get it?" She asked, lifting it a little.
"Avan gave it to me," I said before thinking.
"When? I didn't see him give you a gift at the party," She said.
"Well, no, he didn't give me the necklace at the party." I said, wondering if I should tell her or make something up.
She had a questioning look on her face. I hated lying to Ari, but I had to on this one.
"He walked me to my room last night and gave me the necklace then," I said.
"Aw, that's so sweet!" She gushed.
"It's nothing Ari, we're just friends."
"Whatever," She said, rolling her eyes playfully.
"Besides, I think he's still dating Miley," I lied.
"Nope. It was on the news that she was seen with her new boyfriend Liam Hemsworth last night. Avan didn't tell you?"
"He might've. But I don't think he did."
"Alright, well, get your bags, we gotta get home and to the set." She said as we walked to my door.
A young bellhop, who was around our age, maybe a little older, took our bags to the lobby, where we met up with him again to get our bags. Ariana and I had taken the stairs down.
I saw Avan, Leon and Matt talking with Vic in the lobby. Avan spotted me and waved.
I tipped the bellhop, while Ariana walked over to the others.
"Did you have a nice stay?" The bellhop asked. He had green eyes and dirty blonde hair.
He reminded me of Eric, but I ignored that.
"It was excellent, thank you," I said.
"Well, we wouldn't want someone as beautiful as you to have had an uncomfortable stay," He smiled.
I smiled back. "That's kind of you,"
"So, do you have a boyfriend?" I contemplated my answer.
As I opened my mouth to reply, I felt an arm go around my shoulders.
"Hi," I heard Avan say to the bellhop. "I'm Avan."
"I'm Jay," He said.
"Nice. Now, why don't you go do your job, and stop hitting on customers?"
"Yes, sir," Jay said and hurried off to help a couple who had just walked through the doors.
I turned around. "I could handle myself, Jogia," I told him.
"I know, Gillies, but I felt like helping out today," He grinned. I rolled my eyes and smiled back at him.
"Yeah, well, next time, just walk up and kiss me why don't you?" I said sarcastically.
"I could arrange that," He laughed. We walked over to the others and talked for a bit while we waited for our cars.
AVAN POV
My phone rang.
"Hello?" I answered.
"A-Avan?" I heard Miley's voice come through the phone.
"This is him," I stated, wondering why she was calling.
"Liam left me," She said.
"After one day? He'll come back." I said.
"I don't know. I was telling him how I think I screwed up and went for him instead of being a good girlfriend to you, and I missed you, but I didn't know what to do, and then today Liam walked out, and I still don't know what to do. Avan, I think I want you back." Her voice sounded weak.
"Can we meet up somewhere and talk about this?" I asked, not wanting the rest of my friends to overhear our conversation.
"Yeah. What about your condo?" She asked.
"That'll work. But it'll have to be before seven." I said.
"Why?"
"I've got a movie night with one of my friends tonight," I told her.
"Okay, I'll see you after you're done with work?"
"Sure," I said and hung up.
This was gonna be one hell of a long day. I really didn't want to talk to Miley. I wanted to chill with Liz in my condo after work and talk and watch movies, but things don't always go as planned.
Vic was the first to leave, giving me a kiss on the cheek before she did so. Then Leon and Matt, and that left Liz, Ariana, and myself to wait for our cars. Ariana got up to go to the bathroom and I pulled Liz over to me and kissed her.
"What was that for?" She asked, smiling.
"I've really been wanting to do that this morning," I said.
She told me to shut up and kissed me back.
We heard footsteps and Liz got off me quickly and began talking about the new script.
"Did you go through your script?" She asked.
"I didn't. Want to go through it later with me? We could chill in my dressing room and run through our lines together?"
"Yeah, totally," She agreed as Ariana sat down.
"Hey, guys, your car is here," I said, noticing the car come up.
"Thanks Avan," Ariana said and hugged me tightly. I then hugged Liz just as tight and said, "I'll see you in my dressing room to practice our lines."
"As soon as I get there," She said and they left, leaving me waiting for my car.
I smiled and thought about getting to the set. Today, we'd be able to run lines with whomever for the new episode called 'The Bird Scene', and then after a few hours, we'd be released to go home. Monday, we'd start the filming.
I thought back to filming the Pilot episode, to one of my favorite things to film: The intro.
I played some of the guitar parts in the opening, but my favorite part was when Liz and I had to do Jade and Beck stuff.
Like the end of the intro.
"That was so much fun!" Liz laughed.
I opened my arms for her and she put her arms around my neck and we laughed as we stumbled a bit turning to end the scene. After that we'd gone to take a walk around the Asphalt Café set, since it was time to go to lunch anyway.
"Come on, Liz!" I had said in a pleading tone. "Please please please pleeeaasssee?" I begged her.
"Fine! If it will get you to stop saying please!" She had said, clamping her hand over my mouth.
"It will," I said through her palm.
"Ew, Avan! Did you just lick my hand?" She had said, holding back laughter.
"I did," I admitted.
"Why?" She asked.
"You had it in a convenient spot to do so," I said.
"Whatever," She had said. "What time tonight?"
"Seven," I said, happy that she'd agreed.
"Should I bring a movie, or do you have one picked out?" She asked.
"I have one picked out," I told her.
"Oh yeah? Which one?"
"Paranormal Activity," I said.
She had agreed and we sat down to eat lunch. Later that day, around seven, I heard a knock on my condo door.
"If it's Elizabeth McGillies, come in, if it's anybody else, sorry you have to leave, I'm getting ready to watch a movie with Liz!" I said.
The door opened.
"Seriously Avan?" Liz asked.
"Seriously," I said.
"Let's watch this movie, then," She said, sitting down on my couch, dropping her bag next to it. I sat next to her and handed her the bowl of popcorn, because I had a tendency to jump a lot during this movie.
After the movie had ended, she had given me a hug goodbye and left. Not too long after, I texted her telling her that Friday was now our designated movie night.
Liz POV
I got into the car with Ari and we drove off, heading back to our house in L.A.
I hadn't realized just how much I'd missed L.A. while I was in New York.
It was an odd kind of miss, like I could live without it, but like, knowing that living without it wasn't an option anymore, because it would be too hard.
Like Avan.
I leaned back in my seat. I couldn't wait for work to be over today. It was movie night with Avan.
It took forever, but we soon reached our house. I took my bags in and up to my room, happy to be home.
I quickly took a shower and did my hair, then Ariana and I were out the door, on our way to work.
I walked in and texted Dan that I'd be running lines with Avan, and headed to his dressing room.
I knocked on the door.
"Enter," He said.
I opened the door and walked in, sitting on a chair opposite him.
"Hey, you made it!" He said.
"I did indeed," I smiled at him and he stood up, shutting the door to his dressing room and sitting on the small couch.
"C'mon, Gillies, sit with me." He said, patting the seat next to him.
So, I stood up and sat down on the couch, putting my legs over his and leaning on him. I took my script out of my bag.
"I know most of my lines," I said.
"Same," He said, pulling me closer to him.
He leaned closer and pulled me into a kiss. I kissed back and granted his tongue entrance.
It took a while for either one of us to pull away, and when we finally did, we were both left trying to catch our breath.
I turned around and moved so that I was stretched out and my head was in his lap.
We sat in peaceful silence for a few minutes until I noticed that he was digging his fingernails into the palm of his hand. He does that when he's upset about something.
"What's the matter?" I asked.
"Why would you think something's wrong?"
I slipped my hand in his, like I had the first time I had seen him doing that.
"Oh," He said. "It's nothing,"
"I'm not trying to tell you not to do that," I said, indicating the little crescent shaped marks on his hand. "I'm just asking why you're upset right now."
"Miley called this morning." He said.
"And what happened?"
"She said she wanted me back and I said no."
"But do you want her back?" I asked.
"Nope. Not at all, actually." He said.
"Really?"
"Really," He said, looking me in the eye.
I sat up for a moment, his hand still connected to mine.
"What?" He asked.
"I love you, Avan," I said. I'd had quite a while to figure that out.
"I Love you, too, Liz."
I leaned my head on his shoulder and closed my eyes.
"Liz?" I heard after a few minutes.
"Yes?"
"What movie should we watch tonight?" He asked.
"I don't know. Something Christmas-y?"
"Frosty the Snowman?" He suggested.
"What about A Christmas Carol?" I asked.
"That could work. I have that movie, so yeah, we could watch it."
I kissed his cheek and lay my head back down on his shoulder.
"Has Dan showed you the scripts for the next few episodes?" Avan asked.
"Yeah. I like the one after this one, uh…Oh, I can't remember what it's called, but it looks like it's gonna rock."
"'Stage Fighting'," He said.
"What?"
"It's called 'Stage Fighting'," He said, putting his arm around me.
"Oh, okay. Well, it looks like it'll be awesome to film."
"It does," he agreed. We got a text from Dan that we could all leave, so I kissed Avan goodbye and told him I'd see him around seven.
I walked out to the car, where Ariana was sitting, talking on her phone with Graham.
"Alright, I'll talk to you later," She hung up. "Hey, Liz. How was running lines with Avan?"
"It went fine. I can't wait to start filming tomorrow," I said as we began driving.
"Are you spending the night with Avan again tonight?" She asked.
"What do you mean?" I asked, worried for a second.
"I meant, you've been spending most of your Fridays at his house since about a month after we met him."
"Oh, yeah I'll be at Avan's tonight." I told her.
"Okay, just checking. Our moms are coming up tomorrow afternoon, so I just wanted to make sure you'd be home before they get there that way we can find a way to not tell them that you've been spending Friday nights sleeping over at a guy's house."
"Damn, Ari. You make it sound like we've done something bad," I laughed.
"Well, have you?"
"No, Ariana. Have you?"
"Yeah," She admitted.
"With…Graham? You had sex with Graham?"
"Elizabeth Gillies!" She sounded shocked.
"What?"
"Don't say it like that." She said in a small voice.
"Dude, Ari, it's fine. You're old enough to make your own decisions."
"I know, it's just…So you haven't done 'it' before?" She asked as we walked into our house.
"No. Is that such a bad thing?"
"Not at all, I just find that odd."
"Are you saying I'm a slut?" I joked.
"No, Liz. I find it odd because you're really pretty and all the guys want you." She said.
"Well, just because a guy tells me I'm pretty and acts like he really likes me, doesn't mean I'm going to give it up just like that." I said simply.
"Have you read some of the other scripts?" She asked suddenly.
"Yeah, why?"
"Read through them again, but look for things with double meanings," She giggled.
"I think it's your bed time, Ari." I said, smiling and pushing her up the stairs.
"Whatever, I'm going to call Graham," She said as she walked into her room.
"Okay, well I'm gonna head over to Avan's," I told her and grabbed the keys to my car, heading out the door.
Avan POV
I came home and began to get ready for Liz to come over. I tossed a blanket on the couch and put some popcorn in the microwave. Then I headed into my room and put on pajama pants and a t shirt.
I brushed my hair quickly, even though I knew she was just going to mess it up again, like usual.
I heard a knock at my door. It was only six.
"Who is it?" I called.
"Miley," Came a voice. Fuck, I'd forgot about Miley.
A nice long chapter that I wrote while I was half asleep. Hope you enjoyed. R&R. Love you all! P.S. I was just wondering...cuz my friend Emily doesn't know...Do any of you know what a hookah is? Hahahaha...
