Me: Hey, guys! Sorry it's been so long. AGAIN! These last classes were the hardest I've ever had, but it payed off! My school year is FINALLY OVER! WOOOOOOO! I've also had "family time" and stuff so far over this summer, but I'm back! I'll probably have more time on Fanfiction and get more chapters out over the summer, but I'll have summer school for something next year. But hey, IT'S SUMMER! I'm gonna have SO MUCH FUN! And if that wasn't enough, guess what? CC'S AT MY HOUSE! *sqee!*
CC: So I talk into this thing, right? *taps mic*
Me: Yup! Anyways, *turns to mic* CC doesn't exactly know how she got here.
CC: Twilight was trying out a new spell, and I was helping her becau- MMPH!
Me: *slaps hand onto CC's mouth* Uh, don't talk about *Ahem!* that just yet, okay?
CC: -confused- Uhh, okay...? Anyways, I was helping her with a new spell, and *casts suspicious glance at me* after a confusing turn of events, I got sucked into a portal and I somehow ended up here. After CoolCuttz writes that part out, I might be able to use what she says I did to go home. It's also pretty weird... It's kind of like when you find your doppelganger. Except they don't look ANYTHING like you, but your personalities are exactly the same.
Me: I know, right? So, for the time being, she's hanging out here! I might have to start sneaking dinner up here, or she could materialize things. The only problem is that I don't have a big closet, and I have a bunk bed with a trundle underneath. -sarcasm mode activated- So we're going to have sooo much fun finding some way or some where for her to sleep.
But enough about that! I've got a few comments I'd like to put up here.
My Imagination12: Thanks alot! That gave me a motivation boost when I was having a bad day! =D
Delusional Potato: Thanks, and continue I shall! =3
Guest (Can I call yah Guestie?) and devildog452: I'd answer, but I think I'll keep it UNanswered for the sake of suspense and entertainment. Sowweh! nUn (trololololol)
and anyone and everyone: Have a cookie. ,^u^-(::)
My sister, Jaylee: Hey, it's time for din- *sees CC*
Me: ... QUICK! CC! GET 'ER! *quickly says* Anyways, guys, here's the hot-off-the-press Chapter 5! Enjoy! ^-^ *throws down mic as CC lunges towards Jay*
*mic turns off*
(BTW, this MAY come up later! *durp* =3)
Chapter 5
As Twilight Sparkle was touring me around Ponyville, I saw other ponies casting strange and cold glances at me. I couldn't blame them; I was the first pony here to not look like them. I tried to be happy by waving a hoof and smiling, but some of them just ran away, and others didn't do anything.
"So, what about Spike?" I asked while we trotted down the main road. "How are we going to free him? You guys could do it, right?"
"We don't know the spell," Twilight Sparkle replied. "The Elements of Harmony do what we want them to do, but I want to ask Princess Celestia about what we should do. It might mess up somehow if we don't know how to properly do it, so we have a couple hours before Princess Celestia arrives to pick up-"
She cut herself off, not wanting to bring herself to what she would've said. I frowned and my ears drooped, my head lower than a wilted flower while tears came to my eyes.
"Wait, CC, it's okay," Twilight said, putting a hoof on my shoulder to try and keep me calm. "I know that you'll be reunited with your father one day. I promise."
I smiled, wiping my tears away with a new handkerchief. "Thanks, Twilight Sparkle."
A warm grin crept onto her face. "You can just call me Twilight." I giggled, conjuring a monocle, a mustache, and a classy hat.
"Why, hello, Twilight Sparkle. Would you like some tea, Twilight Sparkle? You're quite nice, Twilight Sparkle." We giggled while I unconstructed my classy outfit.
It was nice to feel like it was just another normal day again.
We passed a building Twilight said was called a "school house". There were little fillies and colts playing on a playground, which brought back warm, happy memories of me and Dad playing on my playground in Chaosopia. He would push me down a slide made of soft and slippery clouds, into a pool of jello. Sometimes I would bounce off, then I'd land in a pit of ticklish feathers. One time I replaced that with a giant bin of grape soda (one of my favorite drinks), and another time, small balls of paper and carpets of grass.
As we went by, I saw three particular fillies. One was butter-colored, with amber eyes that faded into pink at the top, and unique red hair topped with a big and cute pink bow. She didn't have anything extra, so she, from what Twilight said, was an "earth pony", just like me.
The second one was cloud white, with a curly baby pink and purple mane. Her eyes were like the lighter version of key lime pie green. She had a horn on her head, making her a unicorn.
The last one was a strong sunset orange, with tomboy-ish styled, purple mountain mane, as well as light plum eyes. She had small wings, which helped me to identify her as a pegasus.
They were headbutting a ball between each other, looking as happy as can be, until I passed behind the metal fence within their view. I looked at them, and as soon as the unicorn hit the ball towards the pegasus, the earth pony spotted me through the wires. She said something out of my earshot to the other two ponies around her while pointing towards me. They turned around suddenly, the ball dropping next to the pegasus, and stared straight at me. I stopped in my tracks, looking back towards them. They were staring at me... differently. It wasn't like the others' looks. They weren't as hard and paralyzing as the others.
Then, to my ultimate surprise, they began to trot straight towards me with curious and interested looks. Since this had happened before, I wasn't fazed to run, but my body was screaming for retreat. But before I knew it, we were face to face with the fence between us. I also saw out of the corner of my eye that Twilight, a little ways ahead of me, noticed my not following her, and was trotting back. At the sight of the three fillies, she seemed to pick up her speed into a trot.
"Whoa... thayat pony looks lahk she ain't natural! Look at those ahs!" the yellow earth pony exclaimed.
"She definitely isn't from around here! I haven't seen her around before. Otherwise we would've been to her welcoming party," the white unicorn replied.
I blushed a bit, feeling the tips of my ears heat up. I still felt shy.
"... Um... Hi-"
"Oh, hi, girls!" Twilight said, interrupting my attempt to be friendly. "How's the Cutie Mark Crusading going?"
"Hey, Twilight!" the orange filly said, waving a friendly hoof in greeting. "We decided to go roller derbying yesterday, but we came in last place... Apple Bloom forgot to tie her shoelaces." She gestured to the yellow filly, who's ears went down in embarrassment. "They got caught in her skates, and she fell, then Sweetie Bell"-she nodded towards the unicorn-"fell on top her, then me on Sweetie, and... yeah."
"And we still didn't get our cutie marks," the unicorn named Sweetie Bell added with a duck face.
"We were juhst tawkin' to this pony," the earth pony named Apple Bloom said, looking at me. Then she turned to the orange pegasus. "By the way, Scootaloo, the ball was taken by Snips and Snails."
The five of us looked in the direction of the ball, seeing two male unicorns butting a ball in between each other. One was short and... plump, so to say without being mean. He had a slightly pale, green coat, and spiky, sunburn-orange hair. He had a pair of scissors on his flank, which is why I guessed he was "Snips". The other unicorn was tall and lean, with a golden-looking coat, and a boyish, sea-foam green mane. He had a cute snail as his cutie mark, so he was "Snails".
"Oh, well." Scootaloo said, a hint of sadness in her voice. "We could play on the playground. Anyways, do you know this pony, Twilight? She doesn't look anything near like us!"
"In fact, yes!" Twilight said, brightening up at the chance to introduce me properly. "This is Chaotic Collage. She likes to be called CC for short. She's... planning on staying in Ponyville, so I thought I'd give her a tour of Ponyville for the moment."
"Cool!" the three exclaimed at once.
"But what's with her eyes?" the unicorn asked, a half-excited, half-curious look upon her face.
"Well-" Twilight began hesitantly, her look showing her uncertainty.
"It's because my dad's Discord," I replied simply. They gasped in unison, their jaws gaping. We ended up staring at each other again, but their looks were like a deernicorn (a single-horned deer) in headlights.
It wasn't until Apple Bloom loudly exclaimed, "DISCOHRD'S BAYACK!", loud enough for the whole park to hear, that they snapped out of their trances. All the ponies turned tail and had begun to run away, sounds of surprise, panic, and a manly voice going "Augh!" echoing through the park.
"But I'm not evil, I promise!" I called after them, reaching a hoof out in desperation. Their footsteps didn't falter one bit. I panicked, knowing that they wouldn't come anywhere near me if I didn't do something, and FAST!
I teleported in their way, and a shower of stars raining down upon all the fillies and... boy fillies. I saw Twilight, now on the inside of the fence, watching me with a dangling jaw. They stopped right in their tracks, looking up at the beautiful lights floating down from the sky. "Oohs" and "Aahs" emanated from the crowd.
This was my chance!
I squeezed my eyes shut, and *POOF!*. Balloons of all different colors appeared above them. They began floating around, as if they were dancing in the air. Sparkles floated down from some of the balloons, making a beautiful scene, and all the ponies began cheering. They ran around with smiles on their faces, grabbing the strings of all the different colored balloons in their mouths, with their hooves, or with their magic. Some pegasi even flew up to sit on the balloons for other ponies and brought them down to the ground. They ran around, giving each other friendly and joking bumps with the balloons. Some even started up a game of tag, using the balloons to show who was it or not.
Seeing them so happy gave me another idea about how this could get better. I squeezed my eyes shut once again, and poofs were heard in the balloons.
Then I conjured a sewing pin. They all looked at me, their mouths agape from fear or surprise. Some gasped, others hugged their balloons, and two or three even started running away.
"Wait, no, it's not what you think!" I said, trying to calm them all down. "It's part of the surprise!" I smiled, giving a friendly wink. The crowd's eyes all rested on me, sparks of curiosity glowing in their eyes. I made another balloon, then brought the pin down hard upon it. Most of the fillies in the front covered their ears, cowering in fear, others watching in shock as their eyes shrunk to the size of pebbles. But a loud pop was never heard.
Instead of the balloon exploding into a million pieces, the balloon began shrinking and spinning. It was the size of my head, then the size of a ball, then the size of my hoof, a leaf, a bug... then disappeared with the small wink of a star. Then, from that same light, a small, wrapped present appeared, landing on my waiting hooves. Everyone stared in surprise, then roared with excitement.
Everyone tried to pop their balloons! Not even pop, destroy! Eliminate!
Some of the unicorns tried squeezing theirs with their magic, or lifted sticks and tried to spear them through their balloons.
Pegasi kept their balloons tethered to the ground with rocks or asked for their friends' help. They flew up to their balloons, and kicked them with their hind legs as hard as they could.
Earth ponies tried doing that on the ground, and even attempted to belly-flop onto them!
It was only the three ponies that I met earlier, Apple Bloom, Sweetie Bell, and Scootaloo, who came up to me, holding balloons identical to their fur color.
"Um... CC, was et?" Apple Bloom asked shyly. I looked at them with surprise, nodding instinctively with no thoughts.
"Can you please pop our balloons?" Sweetie Bell asked, smiling hopefully. I beamed, and I felt a tear come to my eye. I was so happy that someone had come up to me at their own decision, and I was finally as something other than a monster or a stranger.
I knew, right then and there, that their gifts had to be extra, extra, extra special. Ones that meant sooooo much to them, and a gift that came from the heart, as a sign of our newly formed friendship. I decided that I had to put my latest lesson to use.
What was it, you ask?
Mind-reading.
I stared at them, almost mindlessly, but keeping my smile so they wouldn't be creeped out. A couple seconds went by when, finally, Scootaloo looked at me straight into my pupil-less eyes. Instantly, blackness filled my vision, and I felt my stomach rise into my throat as I fell down a long hole.
After a good ten seconds, I felt my hooves pound onto a floor. Hard, making me fall onto my stomach. I had only done this once before on Dad, so I wasn't used to it that much.
Pain seared through my legs, driving me onto my stomach and causing me to wince.
Note to self: learn to land, I thought, sprawled on the floor.
I picked myself up and looked around, ignoring the discomfort screaming in my body.
There wasn't a room or anything, just blackness forever and ever. A rectangle of moving images was to my right, what Dad said was called a "telepathic screen". I sat myself contently down, got comfortable, and started looking through.
How mind-reading worked was the telepathic screen was the memories of the person you were reading. If you thought of a word or keyword or even a phrase, a memory related to it would appear on the screen, and even multiple screens could come up at once. What was nice about it was when you left their "mind", it would only seem that a couple of seconds had gone by. On some occasions, it would go a second, a minute, or even an hour before you started sifting through their memories.
I replayed the conversation between Twilight and the three fillies in my mind. Then something interesting seemed to stick out.
Cutie Mark Crusading.
Instantly, many screens filled the air around me. The three fillies were swimming, chasing chickens, messing with hammers, playing a mind-reading game (how ironic is that?), playing with pigs, throwing colored boxes in a giant blender, doing ponies' manes, going down a rope off of a high, wooden platform in harnesses, building a golden apple on wheels, racing around a wooden ring on skates, and climbing a mountain. And every time, they'd look at their flanks and frown in disappointment.
My jaw dropped. They had done so much together, it was crazy! Then one image caught my eye.
It was a blue, three-pointed badge, with a yellow filly in the middle. As I watched the screen with intense curiosity, it zoomed out to show it on a cheery, maroon cape worn by Sweetie Bell, tied up cutely at the front. Apple Bloom and Scootaloo were surrounding her, looking at it immensely. It was somewhat ragged, but they seemed to be smiling and cheering at the very sight of it.
Then an idea flashed into my mind.
The perfect gift.
I closed my eyes, feeling air beating on me and my stomach sinking as I flew up and up and up. White light started fainting into my vision... going up and up... blinding white...
Then before I knew it, I was staring Scootaloo in the eyes again. Chaos was still unfolding around the four of us, while balloon homicide was trying to break out.
"Um... CC, was et?" I heard Apple Bloom ask again. I took my eyes off of Scootaloo, tilting my head to acknowledge Apple Bloom while telekinetically holding the pin at my side.
"Can you please pop our balloons?" Sweetie Bell added once more, smiling her sparkling grin. I looked at the three of them, and nodded eagerly. Another "*POOF!* was heard within their balloons, I conjured another 2 pins.
I used another technique called "coupling". What it does is kind of like a remote to a television screen. You're in control of the item it commands, in this case an inanimate object, until you give it to someone else. What you do is if you're levitating an item, you have a special poem rhyme in your head (which I won't tell; we don't need telekinetic ponies like Dad reeking havoc on Equestria), then the item you're "holding" is in control of the person you coupled it to.
I coupled the needles to the minds of the fillies. As soon as it was done, the pins went limp. The three ponies watched in confusion as the needles fell to the ground, then looked up at me with curiosity and a hint of sadness. But I smiled.
"Apple Bloom," I said, an excited tone in my voice. "Think about one of the needles floating in the air."
She gave me another confused look, but did as I said. She looked at the small pile of sparkling silver needles, especially one pointed right towards her, for a minute, then ever so slowly, the needle lifted itself off the soft, green grass. She was startled, but a smile crept onto her face as I looked at her with a beaming expression. Her eyes followed around the needle as it floated around mysteriously in the air. The other two ponies looked at the needles pointed towards them, having theirs float off of the ground as well.
Sweetie Bell tried using her magic to lift hers up instead. She was doing surprisingly well, but she was showing she was straining to do so. Her lime-green magic aura only glowed on the tip of her horn, and sweat beaded on her forehead. I watched her in amazement; a little unicorn could do so much, and I only had a small glimpse of what unicorns in general could do. I walked over to her, putting a hoof on her shoulder.
"It's okay, you don't have to do that. Just imagine it," I said with a wink. She looked at me with a smile and nodded. She squeezed her eyes shut, and almost immediately, the needle shot into the air. I grinned from ear to ear.
Then I stepped back, kindly clearing my throat and continued once I caught their attention.
"Alright, now try popping your balloons with the needles!"
The three fillies guided their needles to their sides, excitedly and slowly pointed them up, then at the exact same moment, the needles penetrated the thin skin of the balloons. They began the regular cycle, shrinking and spinning. It began picking up speed as they went down to the size of an acorn, then disappeared in a small flash of a light. Immediately after they vanished, three objects appeared in mid air and floated down in their small, waiting hooves.
At first sight, they gasped in unison. Sweetie Bell was even blinking repeatedly, as if she couldn't believe what she was holding.
In their hooves, to their ultimate surprise, was small, pure gold version of the Cutie Mark Crusader emblem.
"I noticed that you guys've done lots of stuff, and this seems to be your... mark, of some sort," I said, absent-mindedly moving the tip of my hoof in the dirt and grass. "Those capes you're wearing are amazing, and this is a pin to put on it." I lifted it up telekinetically, moving it to show the pin part. "I know this won't make them any more awesome then they already are, but I thought I'd give you these to say, "Keep Calm and Crusade to the End".
They were silent for a moment, the golden glow of the pins shining on their starstruck faces. And before I knew it, they smiled as big as the crescent moon, jumping around excitedly and repeatedly thanking me for my gift. Some of the other fillies even looked over to see what the commotion was about.
Then, at the last minute, the Cutie Mark Crusaders looked at each other for a moment, nodded subtly, and jumped on me in a surprise attack, hugging me harder than a filly with a favorite doll she's cherished all her life and still saying, "ThankyouthankyouTHANKYOU!".
I was caught off guard by a long shot. These fillies barely knew me, but they treated me like I was one of their best friends. Another tear came to my eye, remembering when Dad did this to me.
I was snapped back to reality with Apple Bloom murmured, "This is the best present ever..." and the other two nodded with agreement.
More tears, but I reached out around the three fillies and hugged them back. I was even able to stand up easily, to my surprise of my strength again, lifting them up in a generous hug. They laughed, I laughed, and I felt happier than I ever had in this world.
My friendship with these fillies had grown to the biggest I've seen, and I loved it.
WOOOOO! It's DONE! Again, sorry for the long time! So many things have come up so far, and it hasn't even been half-way through my 2-month summer.
Like I said before, I was thinking about rewriting this in another perspective and story line, involving a human-crossover. I'm opening a poll to see how many people want it. Feel free to post your opinion, because it's going to stay there 'til June 18th. I still haven't gotten around to writing the main storyline, but if everyone wants it, it'll be more packed up motivation to get it started.
I'm also thinking about taking suggestions at one point. Lemme know whatcha guys think by R&R!
Thanks guys! I love y'all, and see y'all on the next page!
