I am so happy. At 54 reviews, "Ghost Envy" is my most popular story, and everyone's is being so positive and coming up with their own theories as to what will happen. I love reading all of your reviews; they always make me want to write more. So, I don't own Danny Phantom, and here is the next chapter.

Previously…

I thought about letting out a slew of insults towards them, but I was overcome by an eerie calmness. It seemed so familiar, but not from me. "So my dearfriends, you wanna play hero. Well I'll let you have your fun. Meet me at the park at 6:00 tonight."

"What are we going to do?" asked Sam, fear creeping under her skin.

"We're going to play a game. So if curiosity controls you, follow my request, oh and bring Jazz too. But remember…" I could hear my newfound foes' hearts beat rabidly, "curiosity killed the cat."

I vanished and flew off before they could blink. They would learn. They would burn. My cold heart stopped. What was I doing? How could I think such thinks about my friends? Former friends, something in the back of my mind whispered to me. That familiar calmness, now I understand how it seemed so recognizable. It was always plastered all over Vlad's face. Portal accident. Abandonment of friends. Of the girl you loved. Our lives are the same. We are the same. "No!" I screamed into the night air.

We are nothing alike. He's evil. His goal is revenge, and mine is all in the purpose of education. I felt calm once more. All in the spirit of learning, but maybe… with a little vengeance on the side.

Far off in the distance I heard a clock tower ring into the night six times. Within minutes the traitors arrived. "Hello my little kittens!" I shouted into the night, my echoed voice coming from everywhere.

"So, you finally found your cat?" sneered Sam.

"We… are… nothing… alike!" I materialized right in front of her.

Her brave face was set in stone. All the features I had fallen in love with, glared at me in pure hatred. Tucker and Jazz, however, inched back in fear. "Aw," I sighed, feigning sympathy, "are you scared?"

"Danny, this has gone on long enough!" shouted Jazz, regaining her composure.

"What are you talking about?" I whooped gleefully as I soared above their heads. I landed right behind the girl I once called sister and whispered in her ear, "The fun has just begun."

Goosebumps rose on her arms as both fear and my icy breath reached out at her. "What… what are you planning on doing to us?" the red-haired girl whimpered.

"I'm going to let you win."

"What!" shock painted her features.

"You heard me. You wanted credit, it's yours. The hero job, take it. You can have my situation. Phantom's out of Team Phantom."

"What's the catch?" inquired Tucker.

"No catch, just a few minor rules."

"Of course there are," Sam sneered once more.

I sent a death glare towards her and continued. "Rule one: You have to respond to every ghost attack. Rule two: All three of you have to go to every ghost attack. You won't get the true experience if you take shifts. Rule three: No outside help. Get it?"

"Sounds easy enough."

"Your hero-life will last three days. If you find that you were right all along, I'll stay out of your lives. You can choose to continue to be the hero. I'll tell the town that you three have been doing all the work while I just smiled for the cameras. Ask me of anything and you can have it."

"And what do you get out of this deal?"

"I wasn't finished! If after those three little days are up, and you find that this life is not the happy-go-lucky world you imagine it to be, I want you to… apologize."

"Just an apology?" Sam asked, confusion warping her features.

"That's it. Nothing more. I don't want gifts; I don't want the return of your friendship, because HONESTLY, that would be a punishment!"

My calm demeanor was staring to slip. I could feel power coursing through my veins. The energy, the adrenaline. A grin brushed up on my face. My composure returned. "How will we know when there's a ghost attack?" Jazz questioned.

"Here," I held up a couple machines that looked like watches, and tossed one to each of the teens standing before me, "these will alert you whenever there's a ghost in Amity Park."

Tucker pushed a button and the screen glowed, revealing a radar detector. "How do we know you're not going to pop up all over town to annoy us," asked Sam.

"I programmed it to not respond to my ecto-signature. If I hadn't, wouldn't it be going off now, you twit?

She shrunk back at my sudden mood swing. But I once again regained that eerie calmness. "So," my bright green eyes glared at each of them, "do we have a deal?"

Well, that chapter was surprisingly easy to create. Looks like Danny is going insane (which is very fun to write). And I watched a bit of a show called Once Upon a Time (I don't know if this is necessary to say, but I don't own that either) and Danny's attitude seems to be inspired by how Rumpelstiltskin acted. If you haven't seen the show it's pretty good. Until next time.
