It makes me sooo happy to see good reviews on the new chapters and I'm glad there is unanimous approval over the ship pairing. Here's chapter 7! Working on chapter 8 once I post this

Disclaimer: You know it.

God, her head hurt. That was the first thing she realized as she woke up on a bed of furs with her arms tied behind her back and her yellow backpack in the corner of some cave. Where was she? What happened? She couldn't remember much aside from hopping into the well and then staring into cold golden hues. Then it hit her. It was that fucking fox demon from before. The one that called her treasure and wanted the shards of the jewel. Shit. Her luck sucked. And she had no access to her miko energy, it was like it was out of her reach.

"Ah, so the miko finally wakes," a deep voice floated across her ears and she looked up, defiant brown eyes staring into violet. "Who are you?" she asked, trying not to let her voice betray the false sense of confidence that she was portraying. She was terrified. Why did she always need to get kidnapped? What was it about her? He didn't answer her. So he was one of those, right? The demons that don't answer humans because they think they're superior. She watched him turn and walk out of the area. In a few moments he returned with the fox demon clad in a white tunic and hakama.

There was a cold smirk on his features as he walked towards her with her vial of shards twirling around his finger. "What is a little human like you doing with such a treasure, broken and missing a chunk of it?" he asked smoothly, crouching down in front of her. This demon exuded intimidation and power, she didn't like it. He wasn't equal to Sesshomaru in pure power, but he was pretty damn close to it. "I broke it with an arrow when it was snatched out of my body, I'm the protector of the jewel, I'm piecing it together and going to get rid of the wretched thing for good," she answered after she was able to find her voice. "Ah, so you're the little miko I've heard so much about, reincarnation to the original protector, Kikyo…you're less cold than that miko however…and your powers will not give me any issues, I devised a plant that could suppress holy powers, I'm sure you could understand why I'd be worried about such things in my den," he explained. So that's what happened to her powers. How annoying.

"What do you want from me? You have the jewel, but I promise you someone will come for it and you'll have a lot of problems with it, that thing is a curse and not the kind of power you want…I mean you seem powerful enough without the false help of the shards," she commented. Fox demons were vain, maybe if she stroked his ego it would help her out in the long run. Brown hues shifted to his ears, watching them twitch in her direction and the smirk on his face grew. He hummed, tucking the vial into his pocket, "hm yes, I'll admit I don't need the power from the jewel, but I happen like things that shine and sparkle, I'm a bit of a – collector of treasure," he commented drily and the dark haired male in the corner groaned, "are you seriously not going to kill the girl Yoko? She's a liability," he chastised and Kagome felt her eyebrow twitch. "That wouldn't be very smart for a collector, especially if he wants the whole jewel, I can sense it and purify it, completing it for his…collection, if that keeps me alive, I'm young and not even married yet, I'd like to live to see that day."

The dark-haired demon growled and opened his mouth to retaliate until the fox demon held up a clawed hand, "she has a point, Kuronue, she could be useful and she is a treasure in her own way, despite being human," he agreed with her. God, Inuyasha was going to kill her. But she needed to buy time until she could escape and make it back home. Back to the well where he couldn't find her. "However, I do have questions that need answering, girl," The fox demon said. "First of all, my name's Kagome, I don't like being referred to as girl, human, wench, or bitch," she commented drily which elicited a chuckle from the demon, "you have some fire in you, not bad, Kagome." God, her name coming off his tongue felt dirty in some way. He had a voice about as deep and silky as Sesshomaru's. "First question, where did that well take you on our first meeting? What kind of magic is that? You disappeared without a trace," he asked. May as well be honest, right? "It took me to my time, I'm from 500 years in the future, drug into it by a centipede demon when I was fifteen and the jewel was inside of my body at the time, she bit it out of my hip and I have the scar to prove it," she said with a sigh. "That's absurd, Yoko, she's messing with you." Kuronue warned and Kagome wanted to throw something at him. "Which hip, Kagome?" he asked. "Left," she answered and he lifted her shirt slightly to see. Indeed there was a bite shaped scar on her hip where the Jewel had been removed from her body.

"The scar is there Kuronue…now do not interrupt her again," he warned coldly before returning his attention back to the girl. "It also explains your…strange clothing," he commented, gold eyes flicking over the sweater and leggings she wore in preparation for the cold months that were right around the corner. Kagome nodded, at least he didn't think she were crazy. "A crow demon swallowed the jewel and took off with it, I shot an arrow at it even though I sucked at archery back then, it killed the crow but also pierced the jewel and shattered it. I've now been traveling back and forth for 3 years to return the jewel to its natural state," she said.

The fox hummed in thought after she finished recapping her entire story, "very well, sounds like this hanyou of yours is quite a tyrant, Kagome and he regularly lays with the reanimated dead miko, Kikyo, disgusting," he made a face and the miko nodded. "Yes, but he's very dear to me, even if I'm not in love with him any longer, he's still a very good friend, just second best to Kikyo in his mind." She'll always be second best to her she felt. The fox scoffed, but didn't say anything else. "Where are we?" she asked, "a network of caves on the western border, it serves as one of my hideouts…I have four in total, one on each bordering lands of the north, south, east and west," he answered her honestly. Okay, so they were close to Sesshomaru, if only she could use her energy, she could try to flare it out for him to sense it. Escape wasn't going to be easy, it seemed.

"You have to be careful in the western lands, fox, the lord here is not one to trifle with," she said cautiously, "Lord Sesshomaru is perfectly aware of my presence here, I leave him alone and he leaves me alone as long as I don't bother any of the villages neighboring his palace," he said. Of course, things would never work out in her favor. But maybe, just maybe she could get the demon to let her see Sesshomaru, she was supposed to meet him by today. "I'm supposed to be having a meeting with him today and I'm sure you know he is not a demon to be late on things to," she stated.

Yoko gave her a look as if challenging her to ask him to go. "I won't escape, but this meeting is important because we're getting close to the final battle with Naraku and I need his help, Inuyasha won't help me finish training and I need him to help train Shippo too," she said. He hummed a few more moments in thought, "very well, I will take you to meet to the Demon Lord, he'll be crossing by the border any moment now if what you say about having a meeting with him is correct." Kagome breathed a sigh of relief, "can you untie me?" she asked and in moments the vines around her wrists dissipated and she rubbed them.

Up next is the meeting with Sesshomaru and then things will actually start to get interesting and start working towards what we ALL know is going down between the demon lord and the miko. Yoko and Kagome is designed to be a bit more slow burning since they've only just gotten to know each other. However, Yoko is intrigued by her, so that will come into play with his helping the group with Naraku.

Until next time...
