"You gonna be okay?" Peter asked. Uccello and Peter sat outside the building. "I should have known. Ivan and Yao really hate Alfred; it's just that everyone seemed so happy yesterday." Uccello thought of the hug Ivan had given her just the yesterday. "They all wanted you to be happy. They promised not to fight in front of you." Uccello could feel tears run down her face. Her precious people were trying to kill each other and she had said something as selfish as "I'll fight too." Peter looked up at the sky. "You know, mom's having a hard time with all of this." Uccello looked at Peter and he smiled at her, "He wants to support his brothers but he's really upset about what happened to you. He's been crying all day and no matter what dad says he just keeps crying." Uccello understood why he was telling her this. She wasn't the only one having a hard time with this. "Ah, what was it your dad once told me? Make pasta, not war." Uccello's eyes widened. No one ever talked about Feliciano around her. Something about what Peter said made gears start reeling in Uccello's head. "Pasta, that sounds really good right now." Peter held his hand out to her, "Well let's go get some then." Uccello took his hand, and smiled. Peter could have never guessed what Uccello was planning.

"Is this really okay with you Fiabesco?" Uccello stood in her Boss' room. Uccello had just explained her plan to her. "It's what the people want mam. I would have suggested it otherwise." That was a lie, Uccello thought to herself. She didn't know what the people wanted, there were to many contradicting opinions in her country right now for her to make a clear judgment on what they wanted. "Well, if that's the case I have no choice. We'll follow through with your plan two days from today, is that all right with you?" Uccello's Boss looked worried but Uccello didn't care anymore. "Then I'll return in two days." Uccello knew what her plan meant and what it would do to the others but it was the only way she could come up with to protect her people.

Uccello took her time walking home. Her and Vash had drawn up an agreement months ago allowing her to cross over to Germany through his yard. Her stomach turned at the thought of what was to come two days from now. She was terrified but no matter what she felt she couldn't go back now. The gears were already turning and she knew from the shifts in the wind that something terrible was going to happen, and soon. Rome had taught her once that the land spoke to them, all they had to do was listen and her land was telling her that it was also scared. The land also told her that what she was doing was right. "At least you're just as confused as I am."

Uccello got back to Ludwig's house late. She stopped by Ludwig's room and looked inside. He was fast asleep holding an old picture of the old Axis Powers. Uccello kneeled beside him and put her hand on his head. "Please remember Papa Ludwig. You need to remember the truth so that you understand why I have to do this. Remember the first day you woke up."

Ludwig woke up covered in sweat. It took him several minutes to realize he was in his own room and not some wasteland. He grabbed the phone next to his bed and dialed his brother. The other side connected and a very angry Gilbert answered, "Do you have any idea what time it is you idiot?" Ludwig looked at the clock that his on his wall, it wasn't even five in the morning yet. "Sorry, but I have something I really needed to ask you." Gilbert sighed. "What is it lil bro?" Ludwig sat silently for a while trying to figure out just what exactly he wanted to know. "I've been wondering this for a while but, how exactly did you find me?" much to Ludwig's surprise Gilbert was silent. Finally Gilbert's voice came over the phone "I'll be over in thirty minutes."

Ludwig sat on the couch with his head in his hands. Gilbert sat across from him, waiting for some kind of reaction. "I'm the same as her." Was all Ludwig said. "Ja." Gilbert said in an unusually small voice. The blond country turned his head towards the stairs and wondered if Uccello understood what she was. The idea of the young boy dying and him being left behind made Ludwig sick. How did he forget such an important day? Will Uccello forget Feliciano one day? Ludwig shook his head. "Uccello will wake up soon, I better make breakfast." Ludwig stood up and drifted towards the kitchen.

Uccello sat on her bed recalling everything she had learned at Roderich's house. Her father was thought of as a coward by the other countries, but Uccello had learned the truth. He wasn't afraid to get hurt, he was afraid of others getting hurt. He had surrender so that there would be no bloodshed. "Papa could save them." She whispered to herself. The smell of chocolate wafted up to her room and she smiled, "Time for breakfast."

Uccello was surprised to see her uncle at their house so early in the morning. "What are you doing here Uncle Gilbert?" Gilbert's head shot up at the sound of Uccello's voice and the ex-nation tackled her. "The awesome me came to see my adorable niece of course!" Uccello smiled, Gilbert was one of her favorite people. "Fiabesco, come eat your breakfast." Ludwig said breaking up the reunion. "Okay papa Ludwig! Oh, I have to visit Uncle Vatican today. My Boss says she wants me to drop something off."

"Alright, I'll drive you there later." Ludwig said, already starting on the dishes. "Oh, uh, no need Papa Ludwig, Uncle Vatican lives on my side of the border so I'll be fine. Besides my Boss says the message is super secret." Ludwig looked at his adopted daughter in surprise, "Oh, okay then. If you need me to pick you up you have my number." Uccello shoved the rest of her breakfast in her mouth and gave Ludwig and Gilbert both a kiss on the cheek before grabbing her backpack and running out the door with speed only a nation could have. "That was weird, right?" Ludwig asked his brother who just shrugged his shoulders.
