"Come in!" Rachel called as she swiveled away from her computer to properly face the door.

The door opened cautiously the pusher clearly nervous of what there is in the room. A blonde head of hair appeared then the full body.

"Q-quinn." Rachel stammered, standing quickly while nervously smoothing her skirt out. "I wasn't expecting company, you especially. Not that I don't want you here!" She quickly amended, "I'm just uncertain why you've chosen to come here I suppose. I know we're 'kind of friends' which are your words, but even Kurt notifies me before arriving. You can always stop by though! I just- I guess I should stop huh?" She noticed that Quinn was staring at her with a small smile and a blush? That was new.

"I'm sorry for not calling. I honestly didn't even know I'd be coming here today."

"Spur of the moment perhaps?" Rachel supplied for her.

"Yeah, I guess you could say that." Quinn mumbled, surprising Rachel by sitting down at the end of her bed. "I'm actually here because of Finn."

That seemed to get Rachel's attention, snapping her eyes away from where her hands were fidgeting with her shirt. "Finn? Why were you with Finn?" Rachel asked with strain in her voice.

"It's not what you think. I was at Puck's and Mike came over talking about college." Quinn then stared at Rachel with her eyebrows crinkled and her mouth forming a straight line.

"College?" Quickly Rachel turned and busied herself with straightening her desk that was already flawless.

"Yes. College." Quinn stood then and Rachel could feel the burning begin on the back of her head.

"Well that's excellent! I heard Micheal got into a wonderful school! If that's the reason you're here I already know he-"

"Really? You're really going to stand there and pretend like I don't know? That you're not making the biggest mistake of your life?"

Sighing, Rachel turned and gritted her teeth. "It's none of your concern Quinn." She said her name adding a bit of bite.

"No actually it is. As your friend it's my job to stop you from being an idiot!"

"My FRIEND? If you were my friend you'd be happy for me!"

"How can I possibly be happy about you passing up a summer program at NYADA to stay with Finn? This is your dream Rachel!"

"And Finn is a part of my dream. He'll be able to save money over the summer and learn more at Burt's garage. He'll be more qualified for jobs in New York."

"He can stay here while you go. It's three months, long distance isn't that hard if you're both willing to try."

"It's not that simple Quinn. You just don't understand."

"Oh? I'll be in New Haven while my daughter is here. I think I can relate more than most."

"Please leave." Rachel stated while walking around Quinn towards the door to open it. "I know that you love Beth, but leaving the person you want to spend the rest of your life with is so hard. It's like leaving part of yourself behind. You're not whole unless they're there." She gripped the handle going to turn it.

Quinn felt a heavy weight drop into her stomach. "God Berry, sometimes I wonder how you almost became Valedictorian." Quinn practically yelled, causing Rachel to jump and release the handle. Quinn turned and faced a surprised Rachel and pushed her into the door. Releasing a small gasp Rachel peered into Quinn's now considerably darker eyes that were now coming closer.

"Quinn.." Rachel warned.

"Tell me to stop." She whispered and when no response came she pressed their bodies together, eliciting a small moan from Rachel. She swept a strand of hair behind Rachel's ear, tracing her jaw line and running her thumb gently across her lip, before leaning in softly pressing their lips together. Both moaning at the contact and turning the kiss more eager and aggressive. Rachel immediately brought her hands to Quinn's hair and threaded them through, while Quinn's slid to her waist and pushed against her harder. Rachel slipped her hands down to her neck and Quinn took it as her queue to lift her from the ground. Wrapping her legs around Quinn's waist, Rachel broke the kiss and started to kiss her neck while being led to the bed. Her back gently made contact with the comforter before she felt more pressure and groaned at the sensation between her legs. She felt hot breath in her ear and the words "I want you." whispered before kisses trailed down her neck. Her eyes shut firmly and then the words reverberated in her mind. A very feminine voice. One that was not her boyfriend's. CHEATER her brain screamed at her. That was a bucket of ice water on it's own.

Her hands found purchase on Quinn's shoulders and she shoved her back with as much force as she could muster. Quinn stumbled into the middle of the room.

Quinn shot up from the bed panting. Her head felt like it was on fire and her world felt like it was spinning. She had simply laid down per Evie's request, who promised she would tell Quinn of how she acquired her scars, once she slept for the day since the sun had begun to rise. Apparently vampires were weaker during the day and instead of taking chances Evie preferred to sleep. Quinn noticed the sun was beginning it's journey downward so she slipped her feet from the bed and took comfort in the soft sound they made against the wood. She rested her face in her hands and tried to wrap her mind around the dream. It was strange, not because she was kissing a girl but because the brunette was achingly familiar. But no matter how hard she thought, she couldn't seem to remember anything about this girl. Only that her name was Rachel and everything that she had stated in the dream. "It had to have been real." She pronounced to no one.

She decided that it wouldn't hurt to get up and look around. She slowly pulled the door open, knowing now to be gentler and peered out before stalking towards the stairs on the opposite end of the hallway. She began trekking down them and noticed there were hangers for pictures that were unoccupied. "Why remove them?" She thought.

A figure appeared at the bottom of the stairs and stared at her. A boy who looked to be around her age with light brown hair and a blank look on his face. He turned his head to the side and before she could speak another appeared. He was much younger but both looked similar. She put the pieces together and summed up that they were indeed brothers.

Quinn went to take another step but was greeted by a growl and the boys stepping forward. She put her hands up "I just want to go downstairs." She said in a calm voice. Either they didn't hear her or they didn't care because the older boy flung himself at her, skipping the flight of steps completely and the young one jumped with him but had to leap twice, clearly not as strong. Acting on instinct she back pedaled and sprinted down the hallway but her arm was caught and ripped back. With her back against the ground the eldest boy pull back to swing at her but her foot caught the edge of a door and she kicked off from it, they both sailed into the railings crashing through them and Quinn's back slammed against the wall effectively turning her face first just in time to see the steps coming at her full speed. Her face connected with the steps and her body did a front flip. The older boy had already made it to the bottom and was on his feet charging her while she pushed up trying to regain her footing. She panicked right as he was about to meet her and drew back, fist flying forward and crunching into him with a sickening sound. He slammed into what must be the front door from what she could gather, and his body slumped down while blood poured from his face. Heaving a sigh of relief one second, and then staring at the ceiling the next while her body spread across the floor. The younger boy looked between her and the boy murderously.

"Y-y...you." He attempted to form words, either being incapable or just too upset, she was uncertain.

Holding her hand out while using her other to pull her backwards while sitting, hoping to get distance between them, she once again tried to use a calming voice. "Stop. I don't know why you're doing this but stop!" Her voice cracking at the last bit. For some reason she felt like killing him was going to be worse but as luck would have it he didn't give her much time to dwell on that before he charged her as well. She kicked him back with her foot but he didn't go far. He ran at her and jumped toward her but her fist was slow and connected with his ribs while he was in midair sending him at an odd angel. He landed behind her, gasping for air that he couldn't seem to obtain.

"Bl...blo...blood..." He kept chanting which just confused her further.

"Quinn you have to kill him." Came a voice from behind her that made her jump and prepare for an attack. She saw Evie standing nearby with her hands clasped behind her staring searingly at the young boy who was now dripping blood from his side and mouth.

"What...what's going on?" Quinn barely managed to get out before she almost collapsed, Evie rushing to her side and holding her steady. She scanned her face, "You need blood Quinn." She stated and looked to the boy. "I understand that this is very confusing but Quinn, you will die if you don't get some soon." Quinn followed Evie's line of sight before taking in the blood that was dripping faster from the young boy. "It's not the best to drink but in emergencies it will get the job done. It won't sustain you for long but it will keep you alive."

All Quinn could do is stare at her in disbelief. "He's one of your own. He's just a boy."

Now Evie was mirroring her. "Quinn he attacked you. Both of them did and that is punished by death. They both knew that but chose to break my rules. It is unforgivable and regardless of what you do here, he will die. I suggest you drink unless you wish to die from lack of blood."

And the fear within Quinn rose again. She died once before even if she didn't know how, and she was still here, maybe not human but she was here. Call her selfish but she was going to do whatever it took to stay alive.

She knelt in front of the boy and gripped his shirt, pulling him from the floor and without hesitation, sunk her teeth into his neck. The taste was indescribable and her body began to pulse with each mouthful. But soon no blood came to her mouth and her body screamed at her. She wanted- no needed more so letting go of the boy, letting his body drop to the floor with a sick thud, she turned around to face Evie.

"I need more." She ground out, which made Evie smile darkly.

"Yes I suppose you do. Well it just so happens that we were going to head out, these two were supposed to retrieve you..."

Quinn didn't even care to hear that story, or ponder on her dream or search for questions about her past and scars. She had her first taste of blood, she needed more.
