Snow.

The voice from two weeks ago spoke to you again as you slept in the castle that night. Earlier on you had woken up shaking with tears. You leaned your head against your legs , pressing your fingernails into the nearly fading bruises from a few weeks earlier. This was the first time you had ever spent a night away from home. Once your mum had realized you were sick sleepovers were out of the question, obviously. You couldn't wake up Jack again since he'd come to give you some dream dust only two hours ago. You didn't even know where he was. Every voice inside of you was screaming at you to get out of the bed, out of this castle. To move around, but you couldn't, You quite literally felt glued to the sheets. You waited for the voice to enter your head like it always did. To provide a small source of comfort. For the lone snowflake to float around your room.

The voice did come after a few minutes. Although it wasn't the deep male tone that you were used to hearing. It was much, much sweeter. A females voice this time.
"You're safe (name). No one can hurt you here."

"Who are you?" You croaked. "How can I trust you."

The voice never answered you and once again you felt your eyelids droop with sleep. The pain seemed to melt away and in a matter of seconds you fell into a state of unconsciousness. The snowflake hovering by your side all night as if it was protecting you.

"Go to sleep (name)" It said.

"They wont hurt you here."

You woke up with a shiver running down your spine. You rolled over onto your side to reach out for the blanket with a shaking hand. Why was it so cold? You felt your hand glide over an area of soft material that was almost like carpet. With a tug you tried to pull the material over to your side. Are blankets supposed to swear?

You opened your eyes to see Jack sitting close beside you his back hunched over in agony. The material that you had originally thought to be a blanket turned out in fact to be hair. His hair.

"(Name) let go!" He groaned in pain slapping lightly at your wrist.

"What the hell are you even doing in here!?" You yelled back, unfortunately though due to the fact that you had only just woken up your voice sounded like a faulty lawn mower. Not a good tone to try and interrogate someone with. You bolted upright and due to the fact that your hand was still attached to Jacks head, he followed suit.

"Once again (name) please let go." He attempted to pry your hands off his head to get you to release pressure. Once you dropped your hands you watched helplessly as Jack clutched his hands over his head and tried to burry it in a nearby pillow.

"Tell me the damage," he mumbled brandishing the back of his head to your face. "I'm bald aren't I?"

"Not quite," You ran your hands over the slightly red scalp and tried not to laugh when Jack flinched at your touch. "I'm so sorry." You laughed patting the hair into its usual messy fashion, "I thought you were a pedophile."

"I thought we had ruled out that?"

"After this morning? No, that is now back on the table."

Jack pretended to groan and turned around to face you. Only now di d you realize that the usual frosted blue sweater he wore was missing. Instead a crumpled white shirt took its place. His staff lying next to him as usual and his feet remained forever shoeless. Now that you actually thought about it, you'd never actually seen Jack in any other clothing than his usual sweater and brown pants. It just seemed odd to picture him wearing anything else. This seemed so formal by his standards. You squinted your eyes at him and processed this new look. Not going to lie, he looked fantastic.

"Do I have something on my face…?" he began slowly with a smirk, "Also nice bed hair."

Jack leaned over and ruffled your hair into a monstrous state before standing up to walk out of the room.

"Wait you didn't answer my question!" You yelled trying to stop the blush from appearing on your face.

"Is it such a crime to wake your guest?" you heard as he walked down the hall. "Breakfast's in five!"

You heaved the sheets off the bed and rolled out so that you could follow Jack. The floor was icy and sent shivers up your legs as your feet came into contact with it. You flopped on your belly and leaned over the side of the bed to grab your clothes but to your disappointment there was nothing was bare floor. You swore they were there?

"Jackkkk!" You yelled, "Where the hell is my stuff."

You could hear him mutter under his breath before shouting back, "Check the cupboard! If its not there just put on some of the other stuff in there. I have a feeling that Tooth may have taken it to fix the holes."

You smirked and hopped on your feet over to the frozen Oak wardrobe standing on the far east side of the room. Inside it was rows upon rows of elegant robes and dresses. Some you guessed must have belonged to Elsa. You shrugged and finally picked out a simple black printed dress with a lace of red running around the trim. It wasn't too "Poofy" in your opinion yet it still made you feel….well like a princess. On your feet however the only attire to your choosing was a thick woolen pair of brown slippers. You pulled them on and sat there for a moment wiggling around your toes.

You walked out of your room and began to make your way down stairs to the back room, where Jack had told you the kitchen was. As you walked in you smelt a strong whiff of eggs and cheese. By the fireplace Jack was already crouched over with a frying pan in hand. You watched as beads of sweat ran down his face while he tried to concentrate so hard.

"Isn't it dangerous to have a fireplace in an ice castle?" You said with a smirk.

Jack yelped and slammed his head into the thick slab of ice right above his head. This immediately followed with a loud wince of pain and cursing before he finally decided to turn around.

"Please give me some warning next time Klutz! Woah…" You watched as he stopped midsentence and looked you up and down. For a second you thought he was about to compliment you, but sure enough that flirty smirk returned to his face. "Oh, I am loving those boots." He grinned.

You walked over and hit him over the head before turning back to the slab of ice that contained the fire. "Aren't you a charmer." You said sarcastically, "Now please explain the ice fireplace."

"Magic."

"Why is it always magic?"

"Better get used to it," He laughed ruffling his hair into its usual messy fashion, "You're probably going to be seeing a lot of it over the next few days. Speaking of which!" He ran over to the edge of the room where a large Shute was imbedded in the ice. "My own contribution," he explained as he reached his hand up the hole and pulled out a letter, "North wants to send us a kind of itinerary each day. Because apparently if he doesn't I am going to slack off the whole time."

You grinned at his annoyed face before walking over to grab the letter from him, "What does it say?"

He skimmed his eyes over the parchment before letting out a groan.
"I hate him so much…"

You snatched the letter of his grasp and read over the lines.

Morning Jack Frost and (Name)!

I hope you enjoyed the first night at the ice palace. (Even though I would have been warmer at the pole..)Today Jack I want you to take (Name) to the tooth palace. You're not staying to chat you just need to pick up some teeth. Your teeth. I want you to show her the memories of when you first became a guardian. Well not exactly a guardian but when you realized you had your powers. NO SKIPPING DETAILS!

Have a good day,

P.S (Name) remember to measure your blood sand rate on the watch we gave you.

You glanced down at your wrist which the clock was strung around from the night before. You unclasped the end of the chain and balanced the silver watch in your palm.

"You probably need this." Jack said handing you a needle like icicle, "Just a prick okay?"

You followed his instructions and due a small pick of blood on your finger, pressing it down onto the clock face. It glowed a bright green and the dial swayed slightly.
"That's a good sign." He said turning back to the fireplace. He scooped up the eggs and cheese and placed it on a plate, sliding it along the dining table towards you.

"Eat up, we leave in five."

You groaned as you arrived at the Tooth palace not five minutes later.
"Does this become less painful the more times you do it?" You whimpered as you cracked your shoulder.

You watched as Jack was also crouched over in supposed pain.
"Urgh." He simply said.

"Morning!"
You looked up as Tooth flew over towards you with a crowd of little Tooths behind her. How was it possible to look cute while at the same time being so small? Tooth swirled around you before grabbing your hands and pulling herself to the ground. "You look absolutely beautiful (Name)." She turned around to face Jack, who was currently in the middle of pulling hi usual blue sweatshirt on.

"If only he would wear the shirt more often." You murmured out loud.

"Oh I agree to that honey." Tooth said back nudging your side. You giggled at Jack stared at the two of you with confusment .

"Now what do you need?" Tooth asked after guiding you two over to the centre of the palace. It was truly magnificent with giant beams of swirling brown and green patterns, with hundreds of tiny nests in which the buzzing workers lived and slept.

"Do all the guardians live in such grand places?" You asked wide eyed. You received no answer but you knew that Tooth was grinning wildly.

"You don't happen to still have that old capsule with my teeth in it do you?" Jack asked Tooth as you came to a stop outside a huge wall of multicolored boxes. You looked at him weirdly although he just sighed and nodded his head. "I'll explain in a minute."

Tooth flew over to a box located on the seventy fifth row of the wall. With a tug she pulled it out of its hinges revealing a long golden case. The picture of a brunette Jack was painted on both ends and you felt a giggle come out of you as you saw it.

"I'm sorry," you said with a laugh as Jack glared at you." But I just can't imagine you with brown hair."

"I'll have you know that I actually had millions of admirers when I was once a brunet." He said with a smirk. Tooth coughed under her breath. "You might want to add that most of those admirers were girls under the age of ten and friends of your sister."

"Irrelevant. Admirers are admirers." Jack finished while giving you a side ways glance saying "This-does-not-mean-i-am-a-pedophile."

"So what are the teeth for?" You said finally, "I don't get the whole memories thing."

Jack leaned on the side of his staff letting ice splatters crawl up the wall.

"Basically these contain a bunch of memories from when I was human and early guardian. And because of the magic that Tooth had trapped inside each one, we can view those memories."

"So that's what North want's us to do? View your memories?"

He nodded. "That's right. No censoring and no skipping parts."

You stepped back and held up your hands with a smirk crawling up your face.
"No censoring aye? Jack I don't know if I am mentally and physically prepared for that. Something's should just stay private you know."

Tooth and the cloud of mini fairies around her burst into laugher while Jacks face turned a deep scarlet red. He walked over to you with an evil smirk and ruffled your hair harshly like he did a few weeks ago.
"Oh i wouldn't make you see anything you wouldn't be comfortable with." he purred kissing your cheek quickly out of Tooth's sight.

Now it was your turn to blush like a ripe tomato.
"Jack, 1. (Name), 0" He teased.

You hit him lightly over the shoulder and turned your attention back to the gold cylinder in his hand.
"We should probably start these memories while it is still day you know?"

"You in a hurry?" Jack laughed thanking Tooth and leading you over to the edge of the palace. Beneath the two of you was an endless drop. It made you giddy just trying to stay on your feet and you leaned back into his arms

"Are you okay with me looking into your memories." You asked in a more serious tone while the air was silent. Jack glanced up at you quickly and weaved his arm around your shoulder.

"Look if its anyone who has to see them I am kinda glad that its you. If you want to be a guardian I guess it is necessary to see what we had to go through. I won't be surprised if you don't want to choose that option once you see this stuff though. And please don't be too mad if I end the memory halfway through." He paused, "I haven't viewed these since the day they happened so this is a new experience for me as well."

Jacks face had turned dark and it lacked all the elements of joy and fun you were used to seeing in it. Quickly taking in a breath you weaved your fingers around Jacks and looked up into his eyes.

"Don't blush." you screamed to yourself, "Don't you DARE blush!"

"I am not going to judge you based on what I see." you whispered, "That was the past and honestly you are a pretty cool guy, so nothing you say could change my opinion on you. You just have to trust me."

Jack looked down at your entwined fingers before looking back up at you with a smile.
"If you say so (name). Now where would you like to go first?"

"The very beginning." you said excitedly.

"Dragons it is then!" He yelled pressing down on the cylinder surrounding the two of you with swirling lights, "I hope you like Berk."
