Oh shit I'm not dead, don't worry folks I finally figured out my schedule so now I can continue the story. However, you people never bother to leave me reviews so I have no idea whether this story is even good or not so be sure to do that. PM me if you have ideas for the story or if you want me to shoot ideas off you to see whether they're good or not, I currently have multiple endings for this story (The sequel will be the start of the Naruto series this is just the prologue) so I need feedback. The last poll ended in a draw because nobody bothered to fucking vote so anybody who messages me will get priority over others. With that, I've finally gotten rid of my writers block for the summoning scroll and we can continue with the story.

*Puff* a cloud of smoke emitted from where Gohan had slapped his bloodied palm on the ground. Gohan put a lot of ki into this summoning so he knew that whatever he summoned was going to be powerful, and he was right. A massive green dragon now towered above the ground (this version of Shenron is only as big as Manda), brown stumps for horns and eerie bright red eyes stared at the boy who had dared summon him. Gohan was a little fearful of the dragon since he was expecting something only as big as a bear or something but this dragon was a monster for sure. Shenron's red eyes flashed with recognition as he looked down at the boy below him, but something was different about him, he knew that Gohan was supposed to have black hair and black eyes not red eyes and white hair.

"It's been a few years since I've last seen you Gohan Son." Shenron's voice boomed throughout the empty training field and it shook Gohan to the bones because of the deep bass in the voice but it filled him with more confusion than dread. This dragon knows who I am? But I've never met him before in my life. Gohan was now curious, it wasn't everyday a summon claimed to have met the summoner before the summoner even knew the summon existed. After a few moments of deliberation and tense waiting Gohan had worked up the nerves to talk to the fearsome dragon, "Mr. Dragon I don't know you? You said that you saw me a few years ago but I don't remember ever meeting you." Gohan asked in an inquisitive tone. Shenron was now the one internally thinking, obviously Gohan had no idea who his real parents were but was it his place to tell him? Shenron looked deeply at the innocent and questioning face of Gohan and he had his answer, Gohan deserved to know the truth no matter how badly it would hurt him.

"I met you when I was last summoned to make a wish." Gohan was even more confused now, his summon could make wishes? "The wish was made by an evil being to transport you away from your family." Gohan's face went pale and he started shaking, he can't be saying what I think he is... Is he? Gohan's whole world was shattered as Shenron confirmed his worst train of thought. "Minato Namikaze is not your real father, Gohan." Gohan's collapsed onto his hands in knees, body no longer seeming to have any strength left. Tears ran freely down his face and onto the ground and he was struggling to contain his anguish but it was a losing battle. Shenron didn't enjoy this, he knew that Gohan had to know his true parentage or live a lie for the remainder of his life, and it was apparent that if Shenron didn't tell Gohan the truth then nobody would, Minato didn't have the heart for it.

"You... you have to be lying... there's no way my dad would keep this from me!" Gohan's tear filled face looked up desperately at Shenron but while it appeared that Shenron was stoic, Gohan could sense the sadness within the dragon and he knew it was true. It's not fair! He's been my dad for my whole life but he isn't even my real father! How many other things has he kept from me anyways? Gohan's thought process was getting worse and Shenron could feel Gohan's sadness slipping into anger and he knew that he had to put a stop to it before it got out of hand, he had the power to change many things but this world made those from his universe weaker than they actually are. He still had enough power to change Gohan though. "Fear not young Gohan for all is not lost."

Gohan looked up again at the dragon, anger draining from his body and being replaced with more sadness. After seeing that he had Gohan's attention on him Shenron continued, "I can make you a true child of Minato Namikaze if you so desire it but it will come at a cost." Gohan's eyes were hopeful, he could already tell that this process would change his biology but he didn't care about his old parents anyways seeing as how he'd never even known he was adopted until a couple minutes ago. "W-what's the c-cost Mr. Dragon?" Gohan sniffled through his excitement and tears. A tick mark appeared on Shenron's head, even though he'd forgotten to mention his name being called "Mr. Dragon" was kind of annoying. "The cost is that it will replace one of your parents, and also you won't be able to summon me again for 10 years. AND MY NAME IS SHENRON NOT MR. DRAGON!" Gohan recoiled at the outburst but he was beaming on the inside, but then happiness turned to sadness again, what if Minato didn't even want Gohan to be his real son?

Meanwhile

Minato is working with Team 7 to try and improve their teamwork, but it hit a brick wall again or in other words, Kakashi and Obito being near each other.

"Obito you're never going to be a great ninja you're a talent-less loser." Kakashi with his stoic but cruel expression told Obito who had just failed to climb a tree with his chakra, again. "You want to be Hokage right? What kind of Hokage can't even climb a tree? This is what happens when you don't dedicate yourself to training and completing the mission you day-dreaming loser." Really hitting it home, Kakashi was on a roll and Obito was getting pissed but he still had some ammunition to fire back. "I may be a day-dreaming loser but at least I have friends Bakashi you friend-less weirdo." Obito hit him right where it hurt, Kakashi had a lot of regrets but the main one was when he cut of ties with Gohan. He missed his best friend but he was too afraid to go talk to him, Gohan may hold a grudge and he doesn't want to be hurt by the person who means the most to him again.

This was the insult that pissed of the Kakashi though and Obito received a solid punch in the face which knocked him right on his ass, it also knocked his goggles off his head and they landed safely nearby in the grass. Minato had seen what happened and already had a teleport ready because he knew Kakashi was going to get pissed off at that last remark, but he hoped they would have resolved it peacefully before he would need to intervene. Before kakashi could hit Obito again there was a yellow flash of light and he found himself punching the air while standing on top of a tree. Kakashi was confused and he looked around until he saw the stern look his instructor had on his face. Kakashi sighed, he knew he was in for another lecture but it wasn't even his fault, Obito made it personal after that friend insult.

"Kakashi you already know what I'm going to say correct?" Minato asked in his authoritative tone. Kakashi shot him an irritated look but obliged him anyways, "you're going to say that Obito is my teammate and then you're going to go into a long speech about how teamwork is the most important thing to being a ninja and how I should act in a team." Kakashi ended his mocking with an eye roll and arm cross not seeming to be bothered by what was to come. This is what Minato enjoyed the most about Kakashi, proving his educated assumptions wrong. "No, that's not what I was going to say."Kakashi looked up in surprise at Minato, he had no idea what he was going to say if it wasn't the ever beloved 'Teamwork makes the world work' speech. "I was going to tell you that Gohan misses your friendship." Minato had a smile on his face and Kakashi was shocked, he had no idea that Gohan felt the same way he did and wanted to rekindle their friendship. No, they weren't just friends, they were best friends.

Kakashi's eyes were pleading for this to be true but he kept his stoic demeanor on the outside, couldn't fool Minato for a second though as he simply put his hand on his shoulder and teleported them back down to the ground. When they were back on the ground Kakashi went to go lean against the tree but offered a nod as thanks. Minato knew that was the best he was going to get so he smiled and shot him a thumbs up. Then out of no where a member of the ANBU showed up. "Minato, there are sightings of a large summon in the nearby training field, it looks like a dragon and Lord Third wants you to investigate." Minato gave the ANBU a serious look and a nod of confirmation and started his run towards the nearby field, saving his chakra for combat if necessary.

Back with Gohan

Gohan was still thinking over his response when Minato jumped in between him and Shenron. Gohan was surprised and almost jumped out of skin while Shenron remained calm, this was most fortuitous for Gohan to receive some answers. Minato looked from the dragon to Gohan but was surprised to feel a strong punch knock the air of out his lungs. Gohan had punched him in the stomach and it looked like angry tears filled his eyes instead of sad ones. Minato was caught off guard so that punch really hurt so it took him a while to regain control of his breathing but once he did he looked more hurt than angry. "Gohan what was that for?" Minato asked with a hurt tone. Gohan let out a huff and turned away trying to blink back hot tears. Seeing that Gohan wasn't looking to give him the time of day Minato turned to look at Shenron with an accusatory look.

"I simply told Gohan the truth." Shenron's booming voice took Minato a little by surprise but his words sent him into deep thinking and confusion. Told him the truth? But what truth would make Gohan so mad at me? Then it hit him, there was only one lie he had told Gohan that would ever hurt him like this. A million thoughts were running through his head and none of them were pleasant. What if Gohan leaves to go find his real family? What if he doesn't want me to be his dad? What if I lose the only child I have? Minato was panicking, this is the first time anything like this had ever happened to him and he didn't know what to do. Shenron watched as Minato stared at the ground with a hopeless and lost expression, tears starting to fills his eyes at the thought of losing his son. "Honestly, if I didn't know any better I'd say you were both father and son already." Both Namikaze's looked up at Shenron with confusion leaving him to elaborate.

"I have a way to make Gohan your real son, Minato Namikaze of the Hidden Leaf." Minato was shocked but also elated, this was probably the best gift anybody could get him if this turned out to be true. "Gohan was afraid that you wouldn't have accepted the wish and you are afraid that Gohan will leave you to find his real family."Gohan and Minato turned to look at each other, relief tears now filling their eyes instead of those for sadness and anger. "Gohan I'd like nothing more than to be your real father." Minato enveloped Gohan in a tight and love filled hug that Gohan happily returned. It seemed like they were going to be there a while so Shenron coughed to get their attention, "now Gohan the choice is yours, do you wish to replace the genes from your father or your mother? But be warned, replacing the genes of your father will make you far weaker than your current state and replacing the genes of your mother will make you slightly stronger." Gohan was confused though, "how would having two dad's work in genetic terms Shenron?" It was a valid question but Shenron had an answer, "It will simply make it so that if you have children you cannot produce a female." That made sense and Gohan didn't really care about the gender of his future kids anyways.

"Okay Shenron I choose to replace the genes of my mother!" Gohan yelled up at Shenron, it was't likely he would meet his mother or father anyways and more strength means he could protect the village better. "So be it Gohan Namikaze!" Shenron's eyes glowed red and Gohan's body was enveloped in a blinding light. "YOUR WISH HAS BEEN GRANTED!" Shenron dissipated in a puff of smoke never to be summoned again until ten years had passed. Minato had to cover his eyes to avoid being blinded and when the light was gone he uncovered his eyes revealing the new Gohan. He still had the same height, build, and hair style but his coloring changed drastically. His white hair was now fully blonde, his eyes were blue and his skin had some color to it. He truly looked like what would happen if Minato and Goku had a child (which wouldn't be possible outside of magic for obvious reasons). Minato was ecstatic, Gohan was his son now, his real son. Gohan was a mix of emotions, he was overjoyed that he could say that Minato was his dad with honesty but now he truly didn't have a mom, he viewed Kushina as a mother figure but not his mother. A new thought came to Gohan's mind as he pondered many questions about his new genes, "there's a problem dad." Gohan looked at Minato and Minato felt a cold wash of fear at what could possibly be the problem.

Then, Gohan couldn't hide his grin and started laughing, "does this mean I have to retake my picture?" Minato started laughing as well, Gohan was getting better at acting every day which would be important for undercover missions in the future. Minato pulled Gohan into another hug and just held him there, they were both content with the current situation and didn't feel the need to go anywhere for now. "Hey Gohan, did you know that Kakashi misses you?" Gohan froze up, he had no idea what to think about that, after Kakashi had made it clear that he wanted to be alone it hurt Gohan a lot. He wanted his best friend back but he thought Kakashi wanted nothing to do with him. "I miss him too dad, but are you sure he said that? What if he was lying?" Minato looked down at Gohan who looked more than self conscious, "I can tell when somebody is lying about this sort of thing Gohan. I was in ANBU you know." Gohan chuckled, Minato was always joking about his ANBU days and they were usually pretty funny. "Okay dad, I'll talk to him." Minato let go of Gohan and ruffled his hair, it looked better than before (Minato is biased because of the yellow streak), then he teleported back to his team leaving Gohan alone in the training field once again.

Gohan looked at the scroll that had summoned Shenron, he wondered what else he could summon with it but he knew that he wouldn't see Shenron again for at least 10 long years. He put the scroll away and decided to end his training day early, he knew that his dad would be training Team 7 for at least a couple more hours so he had time before he needed to be back home. Gohan figured he should go see how his other friends were doing, especially Anko who had to deal with Orochimaru and that guy was creepy. Gohan shivered at the cold feeling he got whenever he saw Orochimaru, he couldn't shake the feeling that something bad was going to happen and Orochimaru was going to be the cause of it. Gohan started jogging back towards the village so he could see everyone before dinner time since he hated missing that. He only needed to see two people, Guy and Anko since he was the most worried about them compared to Asuma and Kurenai who he never really talked to.

First stop was Guy, he always loved talking with Guy since he seemed to keep a positive attitude about everything even when people were bullying him. Gohan got Guy's house pretty quickly and knocked on the door politely. The door was yanked open by an excited Guy who wasn't used to having visitors over and was even happier after seeing it was Gohan, Guy and Gohan had always gotten along well and Guy treasured him as a close friend. Though something seemed different about Gohan today, oh wait... why does it look like somebody changed all of Gohan's colors? "Gohan, why are your hair and eyes different?" Gohan was taken aback, he totally forgot about the changes! "Well this is what I actually look like, the look you know me from was because I was hiding myself from everybody." Gohan was a genius for a reason so the lie came out much smoother than expected, Guy nodded his head in understanding then suddenly got into his youth mode, "Yosh! It's good to see that you've embraced your true colors of youth Gohan! This is most exciting!" Gohan sweat dropped and held up his hands in surrender, Guy would probably go around and tell the whole town about Gohan's "new colors of youth" which made explaining the new hair and eye colors easier.

After dealing with Guy and confirming that he was fine he headed to Anko's place. Anko didn't have any parents so the house she had was small and really run down, everybody thought she was creepy but Gohan knew that she was a good person, just misjudged. Gohan knocked on Anko's door and waited for a response, he got one when a kunai hit the door next to his head. Gohan whirled around expecting an enemy but just saw Anko standing there with a dango stick in her left hand and twirling a kunai around her right index finger. "So what brings the top shinobi graduate to my humble abode?" Anko asked cautiously while eating her precious dango, Gohan was unfazed so he just put his right hand on the back of his head and smiled. "I just came by to make sure you were okay Anko, that Orochimaru guy gives me the creeps so I wanted to make sure he didn't hurt you or anything." Anko froze from shock, nobody had ever stopped by to ask if she was okay at anytime in her life and here was the top shinobi from her graduating class coming all the way out to her house just to make sure she wasn't hurt. Anko had a crush on Gohan (who didn't) so she started blushing heavily which caused her to look away, "I-I'm fine Gohan! No need to worry yourself about me." Anko answered while still looking away to hide her blush, Gohan wasn't fooled though and he hated that she had such a low opinion of herself.

"Anko, you're right that I don't need to worry about you. But, I just want to make sure you're safe, I'd hate it if something happened to you and I couldn't help you if you ever needed me." Gohan replied softly, Anko twirled around even though she still had the blush on her face and looked him right in the eyes... Which were now blue. Anko raised an eyebrow at his new hair and eye color to which Gohan just said, "ask Guy later he'll be happy to tell you." Anko let a smile adorn her face, "It doesn't matter anyway, this new look makes you look hotter so who cares." It was Gohan's turn to blush and Anko started laughing, it was good to see that her feminine charm worked on somebody as good looking as Gohan. Though she was worried whether or not Kushina would find out about that remark since she had a reputation of scaring the shit out of Gohan's fan girls. Oh well, Anko was pretty sure Orochimaru was scarier anyways so she was used to it. Anko walked up the front steps to her house and stood in front of Gohan she got closer to his face and he started to sweat and blush more. She gave him a light peck on the mouth and he hit terminal blush, "thanks for checking up on me Gohan I'll see you later kay?" She didn't let him respond, just opened the door and went inside leaving Gohan standing there frozen.

Gohan finally regained sense of self after a few minutes and figured it was time to head home. Today was a long day but it was a good one, Gohan had a feeling that things were going to be okay for a long time.

Next Chapter: The C Rank Mission! Team 13's Risky Task!

Sorry it ended so abruptly there at the end but I was ready for this chapter to end already. Warning, time skips inbound for the next couple of chapters because there isn't much that happened with Kakashi's age group during this time besides the bridge mission which isn't for a couple years. Time skips will slow down once the Third Shinobi War ends. Be sure to follow, favorite, but especially review. For fucks sake if you don't review then I can't improve the story.
