A/N: Hey, guys! Guess who's back (: I am terribly sorry about the wait. My life has just been so hectic the last couple of months, but I finally have time to work on my stories xD

(BPOV)

The first thing I did when I went inside was hop in a scalding hot shower. I needed time to think. As the hot water cascaded over my body, my thoughts were in a whirlwind.

Oh my God.

Oh my fucking God.

What the fuck am I going to do?! Alice is my imprint! How did I not see this coming?!

Once I realized the shower was not helping very much I shut the water off, and decided I'd go for a run in the forest instead. I didn't even bother putting clothes on before walking outside, and letting the beasts have control.

As soon as I was on all fours I dug my claws into the wet earth, and shot forward into the dense trees that surround my house. I came across the scent of a herd of elk. Deciding that I wanted to try the Cullen's diet, I began tracking the herd.

I came upon them as they were drinking from a stream that cut through the trees. My ears twitched as I listened to my surroundings. I could hear the heavy hearts of the elk beating as if my ear was pressed against the body of one. I crept closer as I readied myself to pounce. Just as I was about to launch myself at my prey, I was interrupted by a huge growling horse sized wolf. I leapt to my feet growling at the big black wolf shifter as more wolves stepped out from the shadows behind him. He must be the alpha.

I stopped growling, because I knew they would protect their leader if they perceived me as a threat. My tail flicked back and forth as I waited to see what they would do. The alpha barked a command at the others before turning, and walking behind a tree. I was confused until a tall, muscled, dark skin man returned in his place wearing nothing but cut off jean shorts.

"Hello. My name is Sam. I am the alpha of this pack. Carlisle called and told me you would like to meet with us. Is that correct?"

I dipped my head in the affirmative, since obviously I could not speak.

"This would be easier if you were able to speak as well." Sam said.

I looked down at myself before looking at him and nodding to his shorts. I shook my head trying to indicate that I had no clothes in which to change, and I was not about to be naked in front of ten testosterone filled shifters.

"Ah okay. Jacob lend her your extra clothes please." Sam spoke to a russet brown wolf just barely smaller than himself.

The wolf came trotting over to me, and held his back leg out. I grabbed the shirt and shorts tied to his ankle before disappearing behind a tree, like Sam had.

The clothes obviously were a little too big, but not too much that I would have to hold them up. I hurriedly put them on before walking back to face the wolf pack.

"Hello. I am Bella." I walked up to Sam, and offered my hand in a warriors greeting. He clasped my forearm, as I clasped his.

I was somewhat surprised that he knew what to do. It was the traditional greeting between two alphas, but it has died out in the recent years. I offered my respect to him in the form of a nod for understanding the tradition. He nodded back.

"It is nice to meet you, Bella. However, I am a bit confused. Carlisle said you were unique, but he did not say how. I understand now what he meant. You are not a werewolf, nor are you a vampire, yet you smell like both. What, exactly, are you?" Sam spoke as we let go of each other.

I flashed him a smirk, before answering.

"I am a shape shifter-vampire hybrid, and you are not werewolves either." That cause the pack to growl at me, before Sam ordered them to quiet down.

"What do you mean, we are not werewolves? Of course we are." He seemed kind of angry.

"No. You are not. You are just like me, except without the vampire half. You are shape shifters who happen to transform into wolves, but that's not what this meeting is supposed to be about." I told them.

"No. You are right. That is not what this meeting is about. What I need to know is this; are you a danger to the Quileute people or the people of Forks?"

"I do not intend to harm any human here." I saw his eyes narrow at my wording.

"Are you venomous? Are you able to change others?" My respect for him grew. He knew how to be an alpha that's for sure.

"I am, but I do not intend to." Again, his eyes narrowed at my word choice.

"I will meet with the elders of our tribe to draw up a treaty, like we have with the Cullens. I will contact Carlisle to let you know when it is ready." I nodded to show my acquiescence.

He disappeared behind the tree again. I'm guessing to shift back to wolf form. I did the same, and brought my borrowed clothes back to Jacob. I dropped them at his feet, and tried to convey my gratitude but it was hard when we were both animals. Sam barked a command, and all the wolves turned and began making their way back home. I turned and did the same.

As I trekked back to my place, I remembered what I was running from. Alice is my imprint. Oh God. I have no idea what I'm going to do. Do I tell her? My cat growled at that question. What was that about?

Instead of going home I decided to just keep running. I still needed time to think. The wolves distracted me for a while, but the thoughts are back full force.

I ran until I was exhausted, and it was nearly time for school. I had just enough time to shower and get dressed before leaving.

Once I was finished in the shower I put on my Journey shirt, black skinny jeans, my leather jacket, and my Osiris shoes before hopping in my baby. I pulled up to the school to see the Cullens hanging around Edward's Volvo. I heard Rose's question and couldn't resist a little teasing.

After we all went our separate ways, my mind once again drifted back to Alice.

What was I going to do about this? I don't even know if she likes girls or not. I don't want to come out and just tell her, because what if she rejects me? What if she stops talking to me? What if she hates me?

I was brought out of my mind when the bell rang. Art was next. I had to sit next to Alice the whole period. This should be fun.

Act normal. Act normal. Act normal.

That was the mantra going through my head as I sat down at the table. Alice wasn't here yet, so I set about gathering my supplies I'd need to continue my portrait. I sat up a little straighter when I caught a whiff of her scent.

"Hey Bella." Alice greeted me with a smile.

"Hey Alice." I smiled slightly.

"Oh I totally forgot to ask you this morning! Dad was wondering if you would mind meeting with him to discuss more about your species and heritage? You don't have to if you don't want to. Carlisle just love to learn new information." She said all this in a rush so I was sure none of the humans caught any of it.

"Uh, yeah. Sure. I wouldn't mind. Just name the time and place."

"How about today after school? Carlisle doesn't get off until four, but you can just hang out until then if you want? Or you could come over after he gets off. Whatever you want." Was it just me, or did Alice seem a little nervous talking to me? I really need to stop talking to myself like this. I realized Alice was staring at me, waiting for my answer.

"After school sounds good." I responded, before the teacher ordered us to stop talking.

"Okay." Alice whispered with a smile before starting to work on her project as well.

I wonder what he's going to want to know. Well, I guess I'll find out later.

A/N: Well, how was it? Good? Bad? Shoot me a review, and let me know. I know it's short, but I just wanted to get a new update out there so you didn't think I had abandoned the story. Hope you guys continue to read my stories, and don't think I've forgotten about the others. I'll try to update OD next, then HTSAL after that. Thanks for reading.
