I'm back! Sorry its been so long, but I now have time to continue writing this story. Its been a while, so sorry if its bad or out of character.
All of your reviews make me happy and what really motivated me was a review I got this morning. REDEADED, this is for you.
This chapter has more romance that the others. Not smut or anything, but more romance.
Enjoy!
"So, with Sakiri out for the season, Eska decided that she would take her place as our team's water bender." Bolin explained as they prepared to begin practice the next morning.
"Are you sure she'll be able to keep up?" Ryu asked.
Eska glared and took a step toward the fire bender, but before she could find water to bend at him Bolin held her back and calmed her down. "Yeah, she's a pretty good water bender. I wouldn't doubt her abilities."
"Okay, well we need to start practicing so we can work as a team."
The three worked hard, did drills, practiced bending techniques, and went over strategies before their time was up. "I guess I'll see you two at practice tomorrow." Ryu said before he walked out the door.
"We're done? That was fast... I thought it took more than this to train for pro-bending. What are we doing for lunch?" Eska asked.
"Oh, you're not done with practice yet. We aren't going for lunch until you know all the rules forwards and backwards." Bolin informed her. "Here," he tossed a three-inch thick book to her, "this will tell you everything you need to know about pro-bending."
"Okay, and what are the guidelines for where a person can be knocked off?" Bolin questioned her. He continued to come up with question after question as he quizzed her. They had been here for a couple hours after Ryu left. Eska had guessed that it was somewhere between lunch and dinner.
Eska rolled her eyes. "They can only be knocked off the back, unless it is a tie-breaker battle where the two opponents of the same bending fight on a raised platform. Only then can they be knocked off any side." She answered. "These question are too easy, Bolin. I know everything already."
He pretended not to hear her. "When can the opposing team advance into the other's territory?"
Eska sighed and then declined from her sitting position until she was laying flat on the floor.
"Well?"
"You already asked me that. I think we've done enough for today. I'm hungry."
She knew that would grab his attention. He was always hungry. "Okay fine. We're done for today. But only because I'm hungry, too." He stood up and offered his hand to help her up. "Where do you want to go?"
She took his hand. "I think I'd like to go home and have some of you're cooking."
"What do you want me to cook?" He asked her affectionately as they walked home hand in hand.
"Some water tribe food would be great." She answered as she clung to his arm, bring them closer.
"I'm pretty sure I've become a master at making water tribe food because of how much you ask for it." He said while lightly laughing.
Normally, a comment like this would have set Eska off, but she had really changed. She had come out of her shell, and felt what it was like to be free. To not be used as a pawn. She realized how lucky she was. Sure, she could've left at some point, but she wouldn't have known where to start. She would've been alone. Bolin was literally the best thing that had happened to her. He was a good companion: funny, caring, entertaining, loving. And he gave her an opportunity to leave and a place to stay so she could get away. She smiled against his arm remembering the comment he made not two seconds ago.
"I love you." Though she had said it before, she still blushed.
He stopped to kiss her forehead. "I love you, too."
"So, how was it? Did it taste good?" He asked looking nervous.
"Wonderful, as always."
"Why did you decide to take over Sakiri's position?" He inquired as he turned to face her completely from his position on the couch.
She mirrored his action. "I don't know. I just felt bad; I know how much you love probending. And I kind of missed water bending."
He loved hearing her say things about him. He didn't know she paid that much attention. He leaned closer and asked in a loving tone, "You know what else I love?"
She smiled slightly. "What?" She asked even though she was pretty sure she knew what he was going to say.
"You." He leaned closer, eliminating all space between them as he pressed his lips to hers. They had done this so many times before, but they both wanted more tonight. More happened less often than their short chaste kisses.
This particular time, Eska had been the more daring one. She put her hands on his neck and pulled him closer to deepen the kiss. She pulled back slightly so she could take a breath, but as soon as she did, Bolin grabbed her hips and shoved his tongue in her mouth. He came in with so much force that she fell back on the couch.
They went on like this for a few minutes, but then Bolin sat completely up. Eska became worried, fearing she did something wrong. He got up and picked her up bridal style effortlessly. He seemed to read her mind because he just said, "The couch was too small." He walked into his own room. "Is this okay?" he asked as he placed her on his bed.
She nodded, but wasn't sure exactly what that meant.
Like I said, sorry if its bad. If you didn't like it, reviewso I can fix it.
Thanks for all your continued support!
