I don't own fairy tail
Fuck you Natsu
Natsu forced Lucy out the back door, his venom grip still on her arms. She could feel a bruise forming under his fingertips, he was the exact opposite of gentle right now.
It was a warm night, still pretty close to summer. Lucy wished she could enjoy this, she has loved summer nights as long as she has remembered. Natsu started shoving her to back corner of the parking lot, where a car was parked waiting patiently.
She started to fight back harder, digging her heels into the pavement trying to prevent him from taking her. "Stop!" She shrieked "I'm not going back their!" She yelled, still struggling.
"That's not going to happen Luce, I refuse to lose you twice." Lucy paused at his words 'twice?'
Natsu felt her actions of fighting back hault, he smirked at his opportunity. In one swift movement, he grabbed her easily and threw her weightless body over his shoulder and continued to walk, Lucy still frozen in his arms trying to process the information.
"HEY!" Natsu flipped his head at the voice echoing from behind him. He turned to find Gray running towards them, shoving his car keys in his pocket. Natsu scoffed at his arriving rival.
"What do you want ice princess.." His cold voice echoed through the warm night like nails on a chalkboard.
Gray stood fearlessly against him, Natsu and him had always gotten into fights as children. But even he knew when to step down. But he would never with Lucy "give her back flame freak." He hissed back.
Lucy felt shivers up her spine at their tones. The hairs on the back of her neck stood up. 'Im fearless and I know it. But with this, and how helpless I am now... I'm just going to stay out of this' she thought, laying limp over Natsu's shoulder
"Watch yourself ice prick, you don't want to mess with me now. Not about this"
"I think I do, especially with whose over your shoulder." Gray's words made Natsu's grasp on Lucy tighten.
"What do you want with Luce!"
"Wait... thats.. you mean that's you're Luce?"
-flashback-
"Natsu!" A young Gray called, chasing his friend out of school. Lately, Natsu's never had time to play with Gray and he wouldn't say why. Gray knew Natsu's father was a big time mafia leader, and that Natsu's probably going to takeover, but this young? They where both around 7 years old.
Natsu paused at the gate and waved quickly to his friend "hey Ice Queen!" "Shut it ya Fire Freak! Hey you wanna play on the playground today?" Young Gray asked hopefully.
"Nah I can't, I'm... Uh.. Busy" Natsu trailed off, etching out of the school. "Why can't you play with me anymore! I demand to know fire breath!" Gray yelled, clutching Natsu's arm.
"Well I can't say here stripper!" Natsu yelled, dragging him off school property and down the sidewalk, closing in on a running black vehicle.
"Ok now spill" Gray demanded when Natsu stopped walking "what are you so busy with that's you can't hang out with me anymore!" He continued whining.
"Not what..." Natsu leaned in and whispered "who" he grinned, and Gray backed away confused.
"What?" Gray squeaked in confusion.
"Her name is Luce! She's the bestest girl in the whole wide world and some day I'm going to marry her!" Natsu grinned proudly "we're hanging out today!"
"Well go flame face! You don't want her to wait for her Prince Charming!" Gray teased to his young friend, bumping his elbow.
Natsu hopped into the car and stuck his head out the window "ew Gray! Who wants to be a prince when I could be her Dragon Charming!"
-end of flashback-
The warm air whipped around the three, alone in the parking lot. Silence over came the two boys as they remembered that day. Although Lucy was overcome by many thoughts 'Gray... Knew? He... He knew me!' She thought, trying to process that last sentence 'he betrayed me..'
"Yea... So?" Natsu's voice broke the etching silence, finally answering Gray's question. "Oh.. I did-"
"You knew?" A new voice came into play, Lucy's. Natsu heard the hurt in her voice and slowly set her down, he kept her in his arms for a moment, and reluctantly let her go.
"Lucy I-"
"You knew!" She exploded, walking towards him. "God I'm such an idiot! Does everyone know! Have you all been lying to me!" She yelled in his face, he lowered his head, covering his eyes with his bangs.
"No! Natsu only told me, I'm the only... only one who knew." He admitted in a low tone. Lucy bit her lip, she felt the warm sensation of tears biting at her, she let them softly come out. She had never experienced this before... Betrayal, complete and udder betrayal.
She turned away from him, tears cascading down her cheeks. Gray instinctively reached out, grasping her arm. "You don't understand! I.. I didn't know it was you!"
"Did you meet me! When I was younger?" Gray gulped down at this question. Meanwhile, Natsu sitting behind the two, watching the whole scene, smirking. 'One more man Luce hates is another I don't have to compete with.. I mean..' He thought."
Gray mumbled something softly as an answer, Lucy, who was extremely pissed, didn't hear.
"Hm!" She spat, tapping her foot.
"Yes..."
Lucy could feel her heart shatter. The man she trusted most, her best friend, the one she was developing a crush on before Natsu came. Lied, and with such a horrible excuse.
"And you didn't know she was me! I saw a picture of myself back then! And I could even tell it was me!" She shook him roughly off her and strutted past Natsu, leaving Gray alone in the street.
"You're really going to trust him!" He yelled running a little after her and past the still sitting Natsu. "You can't talk to me about trust" she scoffed.
"Think clearly Lucy, this guy, he's a gangster!"
"I'd rather be locked inside a room at his stupid house than spend another wasted moment with you." She hissed, leaving him with Natsu.
"You followed her here didn't you, I saw your car." Natsu said, walking past Gray after Lucy.
"I'm really glad you got her to hate you, less competition."
"Stop toying with her flame freak, hurt her and I swear to god I'll-"
"You'll what!" Natsu hissed, getting into his face. Gray backed off "would it make you feel better if I said she was the one!" Natsu cackled, turning to jog after Lucy.
'She might be...' He thought, still warped into what he had said.
Gray could feel his mind stop working, focused on one thing it seemed to let everything else go. 'I let Lucy, go with him...'
Gray turned around slowly and moped back to his car, their was nothing he could do now to help her.
She had made her decision, and that's what hurt him the most.
She decided to be Dragneels.
A decision she would regret, or he hoped. He hoped Dragneel would betray her trust and skip town and all would go back to the way it was. Or they could even fake Lucy's death and hope he leaves.
But even so, last time disappeared, Natsu went ice cold and did that... Gray shook his head. 'No way that'll work. I'll just have to sit and watch in the sidelines.' He slumped into his car and drove down the road home, fear caught up with him as he gulped.
"Erza..."
Natsu followed Lucy all the way to the edge of the parking lot, afraid of what to say. What should he be scared of! He's the number one mafia boss! She did a little jog to catch up with her and placed a hand on her shoulder.
She flipped her head and sent him a hard glare. But not strong enough to break his expression.
"Just because I'm mad at Gray doesn't mean I'm not still mad at you" she hissed. She was really in a mood and Natsu could clearly tell.
"Hey!" He yelled grabbing her shoulder "just because a new problem arose doesn't mean I haven't forgotten." She flipped to face him "well I've forgotten everything so..."
This pissed Natsu off even more. Why, why couldn't her just kill her? He would have done it to anyone else... So why not her? The sweet, innocent Luce he once knew was long gone. But this new version intrigued Natsu, not enough to allow her to talk to him like that.
"So what? You left me-"
"You kidnapped me!" She yelled, trying to shove off his grasp, which she did successfully. He scoffed, no longer feeling her warm skin against his.
"Why aren't you scared of me." He hissed coldly, stepping closer so their inches apart.
Two huge onyx eyes, staring at her. Lucy was at a loss for words, she shook off her feeling though.
"Why should I be?"
"..-" Lucy cut him off.
"You won't hurt me." She stated bluntly.
"Don't make me, I will anytime I want to." He threatened, clenching his fists for appearance. The anger was real, but not the threat.
"Prove it." She cackled, walking away again.
Natsu groaned loudly, rushing a hand through his pink locks. Now way he could hurt Lucy. "Fine!" He yelled, grabbing her arm and pulling her back "I won't hurt you but don't tempt me, even Beast hurt Belle." He said, referencing to Beauty and the Beast.
"Whatever I'm going home." She scoffed averting his eyes. "Lucy~" he said in a low tone which sent shivers up her spine. "Have you forgotten? You where almost raped last night... You shouldn't be alone." He said softly.
"I'll be fine."
"Look babe, you're strong but your not that strong" he said again. Lucy rolled her eyes 'he was being so sweet but he has to ruin it by saying babe'. "You don't know how strong I am" she scoffed.
"I can make an educated guess..." He smirked, bringing up her chin to make eye contact
What she said next shocked him completely. He never expected this to happen. It made him feel good, he didn't know why though. He also didn't know completely what she meant when the words: "fine. I'll go back." Although, what she really meant was: 'I trust you...'
Somehow, Lucy already found herself back in silence, and boredom. She never realized how long the drive was from town to Natsu's 'hideaway'. And since it was dark outside, she couldn't see anything.
"I..." Lucy's voice cracked. She hadn't talked in so long, she wanted to break the ice. But if what Natsu's all ice?
"Speak if you want to speak." He said confidentially, gazing past the driver. "I just... Ah never mind." She scoffed. She can't take the decisions she's making, she seems to be making all the wrong ones. "Fine." Natsu scoffed.
"C-can I go to school tomorrow? Or do something? I agreed to come back on my own terms-"
Natsu started to laugh. He had the arrogance to laugh. "Their is no your terms, only mine." He scoffed, reaching into his coat pocket and slipping out a piece of paper. He crumpled it open and threw it at Lucy. She picked it up and stared at him quizzically. "Read it aloud."
"#17 Strawberry Building. Eviction notice?" She gasped, reading her apartment has been evicted. "Eviction caused by positive drug testing in the air of the apartment!" She gasped again. Her building had a drug free rule but she's never come anywhere close to drugs. The closest she's been was-
Natsu.
"I can't believe you!" She yelled throwing the paper back at him. And she actually heard him chuckle. "What?" He laughed.
"You know what! You got me evicted!" Lucy yelled, folding her arms across her chest. "Relax, I may or may not have placed a bag of marijuana in your air vent. Oh and I've taken the liberty of moving all your things to my place."
Lucy's mouth gaped open. Her sweet escape, the one place she used to be alone, the only place in Magnolia where she got a good deal... Evicted. All because of some dark playboy gang leader.
"Cat got your tongue?" Natsu smirked, watching Lucy's face stay frozen. "Fuck you." She said quietly, her black face still on, she suddenly curved into a smile. "Fuck you Natsu!" She said brightly.
"Not the worst somebody had said to me." He chuckled, staring back out the window. "And I AM going to school tomorrow." Lucy huffed, staring out the opposite window.
