So, Thanks for all the reviews. I got 8 reviews last chapter which is the most reviews I've had for any chapter ever! I've decided that the Philadelphia show will be next chapter, along with Ratliff's birthday. So I'm changing this story to April the 13th :D sorry for the change, it just fit the story better.
So, Rant time.
I went to go see R5 on the 5th of March, I got to touch Ross when he leaned over the barrier and at the end of the show they did a signing. I got to have a full on conversation with Ryland and he signed my poster and then I also got to talk to Ratliff while he signed my poster. Rydel just said 'Thanks for coming' and then when it got to Ross. OH MY GOD. I freaked out. He said "I like your top. Great band" (I had a Guns n Roses top on) and I said "Thanks and I know" he looked me in the eyes and smiled at me before signing his name. Rocky signed it and said 'Hope you enjoyed it' and then Riker said he liked the band too and hope I had a good time. I then got a signed poster from Brandon and Savannah. I walked out of the room shaking and then burst into tears. I was so overwhelmed. Plus, when they played Wishin I was 23, Ross looked at me and my friend before smiling and running his hand through his hair. Sorry about Ranting. I just needed to.
Disclaimer: I do not own Kickin It, R5, Fall Out Boy, Bring Me The Horizon or anything else you recognise.
Kim's POV
We have been walking around, looking at different shops for the past 30 minutes, taking pictures with fans when necessary when we came across the venue that we would be performing in tomorrow.
"Why are there loads of people queuing up outside?"
"I don't know"
"Guys, look up" Riker pointed to the board above our heads.
Tonight: Fall Out Boy
"Can we go and watch it please?"
"Hold on" Grace took her phone out of her pocket, clicked on something and put the phone to her ear.
"Hey Uncle Patrick, please can we come and see your show? We're outside the venue right now"
"Really? Thanks so much. See you in 5" she clicked the end button and ushered us down the side street next to the venue. We got to this side door that had a large, bulky man stood in front of it.
"We're here to see Patrick"
"Backstage Pass?"
Grace looked at us with panic in her eyes before looking back to the security guard. "Patrick told us to meet him here"
"Sorry Miss, no backstage pass, no entry"
"Don't worry Stu. They're with me" I gasped and looked behind Stu. Standing there was no other than Patrick Stump.
"Sorry Mr. Stump, I didn't know"
"It's okay Stu, you're just doing your job" Grace squealed and ran into Patricks arms.
"Wait. Grace, why did you call Patrick your uncle?" Ryland asked the question I was dying to know.
"Well Patrick is like my uncles brother so I started calling him my uncle I guess" I nodded my head in understanding and followed Patrick and Grace into the building. We were escorted down many long corridors until we reached the dressing room.
It. Was. Massive.
It was probably the size of the huge suite we shared a couple of nights ago. 3 walls had maroon coloured paint on them and the other one was white with loads of signatures on it. I smiled as I saw signatures belonging to Hayley Williams, Alex Gaskarth, Jack Barakat, Alan Ashby and everyone else. We would add our signatures to that tomorrow and I couldn't wait.
"Anyone want something to eat?" Patrick pointed to the table on one side of the room that had food and drinks on it.
When we told him no, he lead us over to the corner of the room where Andy, Pete and Joe were practising and tuning their instruments. They started playing my favourite song so I joined in singing.
"I don't know where you're going,
but do you got room for one more troubled soul?
I don't know where I'm going but I don't think that I'm coming home
And I said, I'll check in, tomorrow if I don't wake up dead,
this is the road to ruin, and were starting at the end.
Say yeah, let's be alone together,
We can stay young forever,
Screaming from the top of my lungs"
They stopped playing and turned to face us. "Patrick, I told you not to let any fans in today" Pete whined, taking a drink from his water bottle.
"They're not fans, well they are but these are my honorary niece and nephew Grace Ratliff and Ellington Ratliff and their bands The City and R5"
I saw Grace smile sadly and knew what she was thinking about. Honorary nephew reminded her of Eddie and how he told us 'Big Easy' was actually his honorary uncle, not his real one. Eddie and Grace were childhood best friends and Eddie was just like an older brother to her. When she was upset, Eddie – along with Jerry – was one of the only people who could calm her down. They loved each other but their feelings were purely platonic. It hit her so hard when Eddie moved to the UK as she had lost her best friend/honorary brother and her real brother all in the space of 3 months.
I caught her eyes and nodded my head to let her know I knew how she was feeling. I mean, I missed him loads too.
"Who was singing?" Andy came behind Pete, eating a banana. I blushed and slowly put my hand up. "You're really good"
"Thanks" I felt my cheeks heat up even more at the compliment. I mean, who else wouldn't be overwhelmed if their idol said you were a good singer.
"No shit Andy, she's amazing" Pete exclaimed.
"You should come out and sing Alone Together with us on stage tonight" my eyes widened and I looked towards everyone else. "Do it!" Grace and Rydel shouted, everyone else nodded in addition to what they said.
I turned back to Andy, Pete, Patrick and Joe who were staring at me intently. I told them I'd do it and got rushed to the corner of the room where we started practising. I got told that Alone Together would be the last song of the show so I had time to practise whilst everyone else was on stage.
Soon, it was time for the show to start. Andy and Joe gave me a pat on the back, Patrick gave me a kiss on the cheek – something a relative would do – and Pete gave me a hug. "I love your hoodie by the way" he gave me a cheeky smile before running out the door behind everyone.
Oh shit. I forgot I was wearing Jack's Fall out Boy hoodie. I took it off, leaving me in flowered leggings, doc martens and a Black & Orange Bring Me The Horizon top. I borrowed Rydel's make – up that she always keeps in her bag and re – applied my eye – liner, mascara and lip gloss.
I practised a couple more times with Jerry helping me with the drums (they always kept instruments in the dressing room), Grace and Milton helping out with the bass and guitar and Jack helping me with the vocals.
After an hour of talking and practising a bit more, the tour manager came to tell it was almost time for me to go on stage. He took me to the side of the stage where the stage manager gave me a microphone.
"So this is the last song of the show" Patrick's voice boomed around the arena as boos ran throughout the crowd. "I know, I know it's sad but we've got a special guest to help us with this song. Give it up for the lead singer of The City – Kim Crawford"
All I heard were screams when I ran out on stage. Fortunately, I had ear plugs in so I wouldn't be deafened.
"What's up everybody?"
More screams.
"Have you had a good time tonight?"
Even more screams.
"Good. Now I want to see how loud you can sing so make sure you sing along" I nodded my head to signal that I was ready before starting to sing along with Patrick.
I don't know where you're going
But do you got room for one more troubled soul?
I don't know where I'm going
But I don't think I'm coming home and I said
I'll check in tomorrow if I don't wake up dead
This is the road to ruin
And we're starting at the end
Say yeah (yeah!)
Let's be alone together (yeah)
We could stay young forever (yeah)
Scream it from the top of your lungs, lungs, lungs
Say yeah (yeah!)
Let's be alone together (yeah)
We could stay young forever (yeah)
We'll stay young, young, young, young, young.
Uh, uh, uh, uh-oh
Uh, uh, uh, uh-oh
Uh, uh, uh, uh-oh
Uh, uh, uh, uh-oh
You cut me off, I lost my track
It's not my fault, I'm a maniac
It's not funny anymore, no it's not
My heart is like a stallion
They love it more when it's broke in
Do you wanna feel beautiful?
Do you wanna? Yeah!
I'm outside the door, invite me in
So we can go back and play pretend
I'm on deck, yeah, I'm up next
Tonight I'm high as a private jet
'Cause I don't know where you're going
But do you got room for one more troubled soul?
I don't know where I'm going
But I don't think I'm coming home and I said
I'll check in tomorrow if I don't wake up dead
This is the road to ruin
And we're starting at the end
Say yeah (yeah!)
Let's be alone together (yeah)

We could stay young forever (yeah)
We'll stay young, young, young, young, young.

Do you wanna? Yeah!

Yeah (yeah)
Let's be alone together (yeah)

I don't know where I'm going

And we started at the end
"You guys were amazing. Before I go, I just want to know if any of you are coming to see us tomorrow." Hands shot up and screams came from their mouths. "Wow, quite a lot of you. I can't wait to see you all" I waved to the crowd and quickly hugged Patrick before running off the stage just having time to give my microphone to the stage manager before I'm brought into a group hug.
"Kim, that was amazing!"
"Thanks guys. Right, I'm shattered, let's go back to the hotel" we started making our way out of the venue but I stopped when I heard my name being called.
"You guys go ahead. I'll meet you outside" I turned around to find Andy behind me.
"Hey Andy"
"Hey Kim, Patrick wants you for a minute" I followed him back into the dressing room and took a seat next to Patrick on the sofa.
"Kim, we wanted to give you these. Just as a thanks for helping out on the last song"
"It was fine. But thank you anyway" I looked down at my hands where Patrick had placed 3 signed plectrums and a pair of drumsticks. From what each member used tonight.
"Wow. Thank you guys" I already had ideas of who to give these too. "Hey, is there any chance I can get another pair of drumsticks and 3 more plectrums?"
"Sure just give me a second" Patrick got up and picked up the items I had asked for. He quickly signed a plectrum, giving the other two to Joe and Pete to sign before giving Andy the drumsticks to sign.
"Thank you" I hugged everyone again and started making my way out the door, picking up Jack's Fall Out Boy hoodie on my way out. "Oops, nearly forgot this" I threw a cheeky smile back to the band before walking out the door. I slipped the hoodie over my top and put the items into my pockets so no – one else could see them. Fortunately, the pocket in Jack's hoodie was big enough to hide the drum sticks.
I walked out the venue and saw everyone else leaning up against a wall, waiting for me. "Hey, Sorry about that"
"What did they want?" Jack asked.
I smiled at him before replying "Just wanted to thank me. No biggie." A little white lie won't hurt anyone. "Come on guys, I'm still tired" I grabbed Ross and Jack's hand and dragged them in the direction of the hotel.
Okay, so they show isn't in this chapter. It will be in the next chapter though, I promise. Please review and tell me what you think (:
