Okay, I admit, I lost interest in writing the story. But I'm back with a great idea and I'm staying!

Shark looked over at Luna. "What?"

She sighed before explaining. "That's what I said last night that made Leo mad at me." Luna grinned at him, trying to hide her embarrassment. "Now it's your turn! Why are you so nice to me?"

He smirked at her, causing her to blush slightly. "The same reason Leo's going to be even more mad."

The two stopped to sit on one of the benches, tired of walking. Once they did, Luna voiced her confusion. "What do you mean?"

"I mean, do you want to go on a date with me?"

Her eyes widened in disbelief, not sure of what to say. "Right now?"

"Right now," he confirmed scooting closer to her and she leaned her head on his shoulder, with them holding hands. His voice became a whisper as he said, "Or we could go on one tomorrow and we can stay like this for now."

Somehow while Shark was talking, the two ended up lying on the bench. Luna rubbed her head against his neck with a smile gracing her lips. "Do you think anyone will find out?"

"I don't know or care. I just want to be with you," he answered honestly. "But, are you saying yes?"

She glanced up at him, her smile growing even more. "If you don't mind this being our first date."

He smiled back as he wrapped his arm around her waist. Shark leaned down and kissed her forehead softly. "Not at all."

A few yards away from the happy couple, a student grinned mischievously as he took a picture of the scene. "Wait until they hear about this!"

"It isn't real," Rio immediately said before Flip could pull out the item in his pocket. "It must be a fake."

"It's not," he insisted as he held out the pictures for everyone to see. One was of Shark kissing Luna's forehead, another of him pulling out herpigtails, and one with the two of them sleeping. Good thing Leo wasn't there to see them. "They're planning on going on another date tomorrow," Flip added. "Anyone up for a spy mission?"

The boys agreed but the girls had other thoughts. "Are you sure?" Tori asked curiously. "You might have heard wrong."

"And why would Luna be with Shark now?" Cathy countered. "Didn't Leo say they had a visitor waiting on them?"

"Maybe she forgot," Caswell suggested.

"Yeah," Bronk agreed. "She was probably too excited thinking about hanging out with Shark after school."

Rio shook her head. "I'll go talk to Leo about it. Maybe he knows what's going on."

And she did just that. She was now standing outside the twins house, not bothering to walk inside because the front door opened showing a ticked off Leo. "What are you doing here, Barian," he barked at her.

"Is your sister a signer?"

"Of course she is," Leo stated harshly. "But for some reason she lied to your Barian brother about it and she won't tell me why."

"Have you told her he's a Barian?"

"No. I have no idea how I should tell her."

"Then let me save you the trouble," she offered. "I'll tell my brother what she is and then hopefully he'd steer clear from her."

"What's makes you think he won't?"

"Well it could be the fact they're on a date right and that he's in-love with her."

"You're kidding me," he said. When she shook her head, he groaned. "Fine, you tell Shark to stay away from my sister and me and my friends will tell her to stay away from him."

"Alright, maybe it'll work."

A few hours later the happy couple was laughing cheerfully as they walked to Luna's house while holding hands. As the two made it up to the top step, Shark reluctantly let go of her hand. "So we're still up for tomorrow?"

"If something doesn't come up, yes." Luna smiled at him. "Thanks for the fun day."

He smiled back. "You're welcome. I'll see you tomorrow morning." His smile dropped suddenly and she shown her confusion, but then gasped as he quickly leaned down to kiss her.

But sadly the kiss never got to happen because the door opened when they were inch apart. They immediately separated and Luna turned to face the door. She didn't know whether to be happy or nervous. "Jack!" she exclaimed.

The former King of Turbo-duels stared at the couple, mostly at Shark, and it was more like glaring. "What took you so long Luna?"

"I was showing her around Heartland City," Shark explained trying not to sound rude or mean. "But we didn't get to see that much so we were planning on hanging out tomorrow after school so I could finish the tour."

"She can't." Jack said. "Get inside Luna." He turned and went back inside.

"I'm sorry," Luna apologized as she followed the angry man closing the door behind her softly.

"What do you think you're doing?!" Rio screamed at her brother as he sat down on the couch.

"Sitting?" he answered.

"I mean with Luna," she added. "She's bad news."

"No she's not." Shark insisted. "She's sweet, smart, nice, beautiful-"

"And a signer!" Rio yelled. "And you're a Barian, the enemy of a signer!"

"You're lying," he growled. "Why would she lie about that?"

"Oh, I don't know," she started off sarcastically, "maybe because she's falling for you!"

"How do you even know she's one?" he countered. "They might not even know!"

"So her brother doesn't know if she's a signer or not?" Rio retorted. "That I don't believe. If you don't believe me then ask her herself. I'm sure you'd believe it if she tells you."

The next day at school Shark was sitting beside Luna not paying attention to Mr. Kay's lesson. He was too busy thinking about what his sister said yesterday and staring at Luna's arm that was covered up today with a blue jacket sleeve instead of her usually red under-shirt. When he asked about it this morning she explained that some people complained that she was violating the dress code so the principle told her she couldn't wear that shirt anymore, but was allowed her to wear a jacket. He then asked why she was wearing blue and she said Leo let her borrow his since her other ones were stained.

As Shark was about to forget the idea about her being a signer, Luna rested her elbow on the table and laid her head on her hand. As she did, the sleeve fell down to where Shark could see part of her mark. He sighed as he pulled up it up to where it was no longer visible. Luna looked up at him in question. "Your mark was showing," he whispered/explained.

Immediately her expression changed to guilty. "Shark-" Before she could say anything else the bell ringed signalling the end of the period and the beginning of lunch.

A couple minutes later they were on the roof of the school with Luna apologizing like crazy. "I'm so sorry," she whispered so the others wouldn't hear her.

"Why did you lie?" he asked softly. "That's all I want to know."

"I don't know," she admitted. "When you asked me if I was one, there were two voices in my head. One told me to lie, the other said to tell the truth, because it would save me the heartache. That night I found out it was mine and another signer's dragons. Anyways I couldn't take them yelling in my head so I lied. I am really sorry."

"Don't worry about it." Shark said. "I'm not mad."

"But why-?"

"Because," he started out as he leaned down by her ear, "I love you."A big silly grin appeared on the girl's face as she laid her head on his shoulder.

"I want to give you something," he muttered as he pulled something out of his pocket and showed it to her. A necklace with pendant that appeared as a stylized blue fleur-de-lis with a cross-section that encloses a red diamond-shaped gem at the center. As he put the jewelry on her, he had a couple of requests that he voiced. "You can't take this off and you can't let anyone see it."

"Why?"

"Some people would get mad at me if they found out I gave this away."

"And I can't take it off because. . .?"

"Because it'll protect you," then added in an even lower voice, "from me."

"I don't need protected from you." Luna said as she tucked the pendant in her shirt to keep it from being seen. "Thank you and I promise I won't take it off."

In normal volume, he began, "Now about our date tonight. . ."

"Something came up. Our friends are coming over again so we could discuss the dark signer situation. That's why Jack came over last night, but they got nothing done, so Yusei is coming today because he has some ideas about it."

"Then how about Saturday morning?" Shark suggested. "That way we can go everywhere."

"Can you pick me up at 8?" At that moment everyone below decided to look up and watch the couple.

He kissed her temple making her sigh in happiness. "Sure thing."
