The first test of the day was an 50-meter dash. I smirked slightly at this. 'Running away from my problems was my forté' I thought smugly to myself as I stretch out my hamstrings.
The first pair was Iida and some green-haired girl whi reminded me of a frog somewhat; her name was Asui Tsuyu.
The two lined up at the starting line as the robot at the finish line gave them a count down.
The two waited patiently for the signal, and when it did, the two students lined up immediately shot forwards into a sprint.
Iida was obviously going to outrun frog-girl since the beginning as a cloud of steam erupted from the ravenette's calfs as he used his quirk to propel himself towards the finish line.
"3.04 seconds"
The robot read out as soon as Iida passed the line. Tsuyu soon crossed as well just below Iida's time at 5.58 seconds.
The next match up was blond tail boy and the smol brunette who I had met during the day of the practical exam.
The brown haired girl began to touch her shoulders, legs and shoes while muttering something about making her self lighter.
The two them proceeded to line up at the start just as Iida and frog girl did before them.
The robot once again gave them a count down before the signal was sounded.
The two weren't as fast as the other two before them, but they were still swift with their movements.
The brunette ran normally while the tail dude used his extra muscular appendage to launch him self forwards in a way that reminded me of that 'tiger' character from Winnie the Pooh.
The two two managed to get times between 4-7 seconds which was still considered pretty fast, noting the fact taht we were running 50 meters.
The next pair was Ashido and a rather sparkly individual.
While mina was crouched over like a normal runner, Sparkling blondy over their turned to face around to face away from the finish line.
When the count down was over, the sparkling blond jumped up into the air and a glittering blue beam shot out of his abdomen; propelling him rapidly across the track.
Unfortunately for him, he suddenly dropped in mid-air and he rolled on his stomach like he had a cranp or something.
Ashido was able to pass him as he got up to complete the rest of the race.
The two also had reasonably fast times between 5-6 seconds.
The next match up was between Midoriya and Bakugou.
Let's just say that Bukugou won by a land slide.
Soon it was my turn and I was against the half-n-half boy who's name was Todoroki Shouto. The two of us lined up against the the starting line, waiting for the robot to sound the starting sound.
And when it did, I used my quirk to blast myself forwards. As soon as the gunshot sound fired, I concentrated on my actions and controlled my icy winds to focus and blow on my body from behind.
Ignoring the stinging feeling of my ice blowing into my back, I ran in the direction of the wind and shortly surpassed the stotic todoroki kid.
"5.58 seconds" The robot read out as I passed the finish line.
"5.6 seconds" The robot read out almost immediately after my time reading.
I panted and smiled at the heterochromic boy who in return simply scoffed at me and left me in confusion.
"Yikes, what's his damage?"
-Line break-
The second test took place soon after the 50m dash was completed. This time, it was a strength grip test, and let's just say that this was not my forté.
I grunted as I felt my hands latch onto the device's grip mechanism and pulled as hard as I could with my hand and fingers.
I unfortunately got a rather low 5.8 kg as a score, but I never really did pride myself in physical strength.
"Woah, you hit 540kg? You're such a beast!" A sudden exclamation of shook came from the other corner of the room we were in. I turned and stared at a black haired boy with massive elbows and a shorter boy with purple balls for hair admire the muscular 6-armed student who achieved such a high score.
I felt myself melt in embarrassment... I'm so weak!
-Line break-
The third test of today was a standing long jump. I was rather unsure of this one. My quirk was great for traveling fast on ground, but I was unsure of air... I never really tried.
I gulped down and waited for my turn. Not many excelled in this one including myself. When it was my turn, I took a deep breath in and jumped, while simultaneously using my quirk to blow myself forwards.
After all that effort, I had only achieved a measly 8 meters. Mind you, that seemed to be the average that most of the class achieved, so I was okay with it.
-Line break-
The next was repeated side steps, and only the purple haired (well balled) boy was managed to be good at as he bounced back and forth like a ball inside a pinball machine.
After that, we took part in test number 5; which was the ball throw that Bakugou demonstrated earlier today.
I went after the brunette girl who got an infinite score due to her quirk. We passed each other as I walked to the circle and she gave me a closed eye smile and wished me luck.
I thanked her briefly and took my place in the circle. I cracked my neck by rolling it side to side before I prepared myself for my pitch.
Staring into the distance, I frowned in concentration before preparing to throw the ball.
I let a concentrated tiny yet fast moving gust of wind form in my right hand where I held the ball.
Deep breath in... and out...
"YEET"
I bellowed out clearly as I pitched the ball from my grasp. The mini icy vortex that I created whipped around the ball fast enough and strong enough at and at the correct angle for it to shoot up into the sky at a breakneck pace.
This caused a loud piercing whistling scream to wail out, which surprised my fellow classmates. 'Behold the power of yeet you worms'.
"698.5 meters" Aizawa drawls out as he blew his nose while pinching it to pop his ears.
"Dang, that's kinda a disappointing score for such an awesome move like that."
After that unwanted comment from elbow boy, I went and sulked by myself behind a few students who simply sweatdropped at me.
"Midoriya, your turn" Mr Aizawa called out.
Immediately I snapped out of pity party and watched the green-haired boy nervously make his way towards the circle.
He grabbed the ball from Mr Aizawa with trembling hands and went to stand within the circle.
I was concerned for him, all throughout today, he had been falling behind the rest of us as he had not used his quirk at all throughout the whole exam.
I frowned in concern as I watched the boy pitch, I noticed that glowing red chains around appeared around his arm as he did so. Leaning forwards in slightly anticipation, I watched Midoriya pitch the ball, expecting something great to happen. But, alas it didn't happen, as the ball only traveled a measly 46 meters.
The anti-climax if this situation made me unsettled. Did something happen?
I heard Midoriya stutter in shock as he still stood there in his pitching stance without moving a muscle.
Mr Aizawa then spoke up as his scarf and long black hair began to float upwards; defying gravity.
"I erased your quirk" He spoke out simply, not caring if any one heard it. Though, even if he did give a shit about it, he didn't seem to show it.
"The judges of the exam weren't being rational. Someone like you should never be allowed to enroll at this school."
Midoriya suddenly stated that he had recognised as Mr Aizawa as the erasure hero; eraserhead.
Many people haven't heard of him as he is an underground hero who does night patrols. But a pro hero is still a pro and you should never take them lightly.
"You're not ready, you don't have control over your powers. Were you planning to break your bones again? Counting on someone else to save your useless body?"
"NO! That's not what I was trying to do!" Midoriya began in a panicked protest. I stood in shook as Mr Aizawa then proceeded to lash out one of his binding things and pull the greenette closer to him.
"No matter what your intentions are, you would be nothing more but a liability in battle. You have the same reckless passion as another over zealous pro hero I know, one who saved a thousand people by himself and became a legend."
I realised he was taking about the number one hero; All might.
"But even with that drive, you are worthless if you can only throw a single punch before breaking down... Apologies Midoriya, with your power, there's no way you can become a hero"
That must have beem heartbreaking for Midoriya... he probably worked really hard to get here, only for his home room teacher to say that he wasn't good enough.
I always put myself down as I compared myself to other's around me, but I can't imagine someone else confirm my insecurities... it must be hard...
Mr Aizawa's scarf and hair then settled down to their resting states.
People began to mutter around me in curiosity. But I blocked out the sound and watched on.
Mr Aizawa then proceeded to slap another ball into Midoriya's hands and told him to use his quirk to fire it.
I watched with pursed lips as te greenette's dejected form walked towards the circle once more.
Midoriya immediately pitched his ball again, this time there was no red markings in his arm, Is he not using his quirk?
I was soon proven wrong when the ball from the green haired boy's hamd shot out and up into the sky like a missile.
I watched in awe as the round objects shot up and out of our visual range. Midoriya panted as he stood shakily in his pitching pose.
The phone-like device in Mr Aizawa's hand suddenly beeped and it read out the score.
"705.3 Meters"
Midoriya then faced our black-haired teacher with a look of both pain and proudness as he clenched his fists in determination.
I noticed that his right index finger was swollen angrily and unnaturally purple.
Tears seemed to brim from his large doe eyes as he bit his lip and smiled brightly. Many people began to add their own opinions towards the whole ordeal while I stayed silent.
Bakugou suddenly stormed towards Midoriya, explosions covered his palms as he rushed the boy.
"Dude!" I called out as I tried in vain to reach towards him.
Fortunately enough for Midoriya, a different force intervened and the said force was none other than Mr Aizawa.
Mr Aizawa once again used his quirk and scarf to apprehend the explosive blond.
Out teacher then proceeded to give out a warning to Bakugou as he let go of his grasp in him.
Soon after the bal throw, we participated in three more tests: The sit ups, the seated toe touch and the long distance run.
Out of the three test, I only did well in the long distance and toe-touch.
Kaminari who was spotting me during the toe touch marvelled at me as I easily touched my toes with my hands while pressing my face into my knees; folding my body perfectly in half.
"Woah, if I didn't know better, I would think your quirk was some sort of flexibility quirk!"
I sat back up and smirked, "I told you I could probably blow myself if I were a dude".
Tbh I'm also freakishly flexible aswell and I can successfully fold my body in half without much effort lmao... It kinda scares people.
