"Jay, you're hurting me," I breathed. He was holding me so close that my ribs were crushed against his so closely that I would surely bruise. He was also close enough to kiss. I could see it in his eyes. I was his. I was his property. Crow had stolen his property from him. He wanted it back.
"You know what I really hate, Harley-girl? People taking what's mine." He drew the word out long and slow, staring at Jonathan like prey that's been cornered. "No one steals from me. You belong to me. I have come back to take what belongs to me. The thief needs to be punished."
He held me close, captive, and began to squeeze his large, dominating hands around Crow's throat. As his airway constricted, I could see Crow scrabbling, clawing for air. Clawing for release. I could only stare until his face began to change colors, from red to purple.
"Jay you'll kill him! Stop!"
"That's the point. Why else would I do it?" Jay laughed his infectious laughter and tightened his grip.
"No! I won't let you kill him!" In his concentration on Jonathan, Jay had relaxed his grip on me and I used that to wrench free. It wasn't much force, but I slapped him in the face, hard enough to surprise him. Crow slumped to the floor, gasping.
"Shouldn't have done that, little girl!" Jay growled, pouncing on me and pinning me down. This time, his hands were around my throat.
I did the only thing I could think of.
I wrapped my legs around his waist and my hands around his neck, aiming for a kiss.
"I should have known you'd be turned on by this you kinky bitch," Jay growled, lowering his face towards mine, relaxing his grip slightly.
I took my chance and bit his nose as hard as I could.
As Jay howled in pain I scrabbled out from underneath him, kicked him in the stomach and grabbed his knife from his usual pocket.
"That's the last time you try to kill me," I gasped, "I'm through playing your games, clown."
Harley has the knife, what will she do now?
