Heya guys! I know. I'm terrible for not updating. m(_ _;)m and for picking a lousy chapter title...

Anyways, in this chapter, well... I don't even know... curse my lack of creativity. a few time skips will be squeezed in here and there, so hopefully I don't screw up. Also, I'll be updating the cover photo soon, so sit tight! I got a new something something that'll greatly improve my work. Might make it look like I just took a pic on the Internet though, but that will NEVER be the case.

Ps: I feel like I'm losing my touch with these announcements. Or that's just me being an idiot.

"C'mon, hurry up spring! We're gonna be late again!"

She's at it again, that girl is.

Since we've met, she's opened up considerably, like she knew me already. She's practically like an old friend I haven't seen in a long time, hanging out with me wherever, though she somehow disappears when I hang out with the others.

"Aren't we already late? By about two months?"

Giving me a quizzical look, she stopped by the curb to let me catch up.

"What're you talking about? We're just going to Sparky's."

*Sigh* if she knew...

"Never mind. You seem excited for a smoothie."

She shrugged in a careless manner as she started walking backwards.

"What can I say? You said they've got some weird flavors, and I love to explore food. Or drinks."

~(*w*)~ Time skip! ~(*w*)~

The familiar sounds of Sparky's smoothie shack was a mix of normal and lively at the same time. The radio tuned in to the latest (and cheesiest) songs while students of all shapes and sizes hung out and/or did homework. (It's surprising that of all locations, this is the go-to spot for everyone.) Sparky's cashier occasionally going "ka-ching!" After a cacophony of whirs and crunching as Sparky and a few friends working there make various smoothies. Looking around, Springtrap noticed that the others don't appear to be here. Maybe they had other plans?

"Hey, Greenbean!"

Hearing that nickname, I turn my attention to the tan colored bear manning the cashier. Di. Sparky's closest friend and best employee.

"How's things, Di?"

"A bit slow right now, Greenbean, and that means more of the good stuff!"

smiling at her enthusiasm, I introduced Mikaela.

"Welcome to the smoothie shack Mikaela. Have you tried one yet?"

"No, but from what I hear from Springtrap over here, you guys make good smoothies."

Looking at today's batch of flavors, I noticed some of them are a bit tame for Sparky's standards. Maybe he's working on something new?

"Wow..."

The look on Mikaela's face was priceless, staring at the cup of Trail mix Treat in her hands. Giggling at her reaction, Di bragged on while arranging the inside of the cashier.

"If you think that's amazing, wait 'till you try the zanier flavors."

Rolling his eyes at the petite bear's advertising, Springtrap leaned over the counter to look for the others working there.

"Hey, you see where Mangie is?"

"Mangie? You mean Maggie Manara?"

Mikaela asked with surprise, apparently knowing the fox eared nerd of a girl. Nodding in response, Di also told her that she works here as well, getting another disbelieving look in the process.

"She's probably on her phone again, she's been talking about a new game she just got all week."

Mangie was somewhat of a nerdy tomboy. From how Mikaela met her, she was always getting involved in math, participating in events, tutoring other students (she's helped her out a lot since she met her, damn Calculus...), but she never knew she had a whole different side...

"Typical Mangie..."

Springtrap sighed as he took a sip of his Berry blend and watched Mikaela think. The way she slightly pouts as her brows draw close, and how she sometimes fiddle with her hair when she's really deep in thought, it all just looks so adorable in his eyes.

'Nah. I don't think of her like that. Do I? Nah...'

"Ugh, again with the deadlines..."

Scott muttered as he ran his hand through his hair as he tried to fill out a report at Sparky's. As he combed the net for anything that could help, he spotted Springtrap heading over his way, and with someone else in tow. "Wonder who that could be..." the he said to no one in particular, his eyes quickly averting back to his work. After a few more minutes of searching, Scott decided that that should do it, saving his progress and shutting down the laptop as he headed back to Di for another smoothie.

"GOD DAMN IT!"

The sudden outburst startled nearly everyone in the shack, save for a purple-ish cat with headphones on (probably blasting loud music) chewing on a lollipop.

"The heck did that come from?" Scott wondered as he approached Springtrap and his new friend. Without another word, the rabbit simply nudged his head to the general direction of a short girl with (poorly) dyed hair in a black and gray striped hoodie glaring daggers at her phone. Watching her rummage through her relatively small crossbody bag, Scott wondered about a few things. 'She looks kinda familiar... maybe It's just me not noticing... whatever the case, I can't put my finger on...'

"Uh... Scott? You okay there?"

The small hand waving in front of him snapped the lad out of his thoughts, bringing him back to reality. Looking at the hand, his gaze landed on it's owner: Springtrap's new friend. With a small "Ahem", Scott quickly gathered himself and tried to look decent.

"H-heh... *ahem* uh sorry about that..."

So much for being sociable. Rolling his eyes in amusement, Springtrap kindly saved Scott from embarrassment. "Don't worry, once you know Scott, he'll warm up to 'ya. Scott, Mikaela. Mikaela, Scott. Didn't see ya there, bud." Mikaela smiled sweetly as Scott rubbed the back of his neck, letting out a nervous laugh.

"Yeah, not much for introductions, kinda akward really. And I was just off to the side over there. Just needed to finish something up."

"No, it's fine, really. Nice to meet you."

"So it's settled then!"

Scott's voice declared, snapping gold out of his thoughts. 'You'd think the writer would get over snapping his characters out of their thoughts... and me repeating what he just said.'

Actually, that's probably the first time you repeated what I said. *Sigh* 'what can you do...' gold once again drowned out his friend's "ramblings" and submerged himself in his plans, and also, his past...

Though he may not seem like it, Gold was never this mysterious and deceitful person he is now. Of course he was a troublemaker, but what boy isn't naturally? Nonetheless, he always had something... special... about him. He always thought it should be kept away from everyone, including himself. But one tragedy released it...

'I'm close... finally close... get ready...'

Meanwhile...

(What, too cliché?)

"Aaand... Saved!"

"You sure you got it right this time?"

"Oh, lighten up, Mark. I got lost at a completely different park that one time and you guys won't let go of it." Springtrap reassured as he put away his phone. "Now was it the third street or the fifth one?" The tall, stoical mask enthusiast groaned in resignment as he left for whatever reason he had. Most likely in annoyance. "Aw, come on, I was just messin' with you."

Scott had the "Gang" so to speak, meet up so he could iron out a few things he planned out. Basically, the long and the short of it is Scott managed to make them go to the upcoming street fair this weekend. A few of them agreed willingly(?), Shadow and Gold, but the others agreed when Scott told them it was his treat. And who could turn down free stuff?

After a long day, Springtrap finally had time for himself. The day had been fairly ordinary, but tiring all the same. Fall's just around the corner, and things are livening up, what with the festivals popping up and the trees fading to warm colors. Yet as he walks down the street on this late afternoon, all of this, the time, atmosphere, and festives, they hold memories. Bad ones. The sharp turn in an otherwise lazy road. It had seared a message in his mind, one that he won't forget anytime soon.

When happiness is about, misfortune is quick to follow.

Finally, another chapter! You may now kick my ass repeatedly for being a lazy potato.

(Someone face palming in the distance) I haven't started on the cover photo yet, but I'm still sketching it out, 'cause my original probably won't cut it now. Also, I'm working on another cover photo, so cut me some slack. :v

let me know if you want your OC to make, if not a cameo, become a minor role in this story. PM me if you're interested.

Next chapter we dive into a small part of Springtrap's past, and follow him at the weekend street fair. (Ebyam wtih somenoe sele?) #decodepls x3
