NCIS Field Office

Washington Naval Yard

Washington D.C.

A ding sounded from the elevator, the doors opening to reveal its passenger. Heavy boots quickly thudded their way across a cold, concrete floor, carrying their confused passenger with them. A handful of Agents spotted the Navy Yard's Evidence Garage, but none paid any mind to the person that had just entered. None bothered to acknowledge the young girl dressed in black clothing and various tattoos, being used to their Forensic Technician and her usual appearance.

Not until a shout startled everyone in the room.

"McGee!"

Said Special Agent hopped to his feet, nearly kicking over the computer tower he'd just finished setting on the ground.

"What the hell do you think you're doing with my computer?"

McGee shrugged stiffly. "I-I, uh, I don't know. I just got a call from Tony. He said to grab a computer and set it in the Evidence Garage."

"And you just decided that instead of using one of the many terminals at or around your desk, you'd come by my lab and swipe my baby from me?!"

"Uh, well...I didn't feel the need to risk one of my computers for something Tony was suggesting."

"So mine was an acceptable substitute?"

His eyes looked around nervously, hoping for some kind of release from his current circle of Hell.

"Uh..."

Abby picked her hands up and shook her head. "Whatever. Mine's naturally closer to the garage anyway. What did Tony want with a computer in the Evidence Garage, anyway?"

Timothy shrugged again, this time in a more relaxed manner. "I don't know. He didn't tell me what was going on, just to make sure it was in a spot where there was plenty of room in front of it."

Abby bounced lightly in place for a moment. "Well, hopefully we'll get to see them soon. I know they haven't been gone for long, but you know how nervous I get whenever you guys go long distances."

"Yeah, I know." It was at this point that his cell phone started ringing. With a quick, practiced motion, he pulled the phone from his jacket pocket and answered it. "McGee."

"Probie!" Tim jerked the phone away from his ear. The shouting voice made his ear ring a bit. "Where the hell are you?!"

"I'm in the garage, Tony. Computer's almost set up. I just need to plug it in and turn it on."

"Well hurry! We're in a bad spot here, Probie, and we need that computer in place yesterday!"

Tim rolled his eyes. "You guys can't be in that bad of a situation that you need a PC in the Evidence Garage."

"McGee!" Another voice shouted, this one slightly quieter if only because it sounded further away from Tony's phone. "Today!"

"On it, boss!" Without a further moment's hesitation, he ran over to the computer and plugged in the computer's power cord.

"McGee, look at this!"

Tim ran over to Abby, who was pointing at the active monitor. He frowned in confusion.

"I didn't turn it on."

"Me neither."

The screen flashed yellow before a mess of boxes arranged themselves on it, with a red dot in the corner. The two stared for a moment before a box near the center lit up. A picture of a wooded area came into view before a man peeked in. His eyes danced everywhere for a moment before settling on Tim and Abby.

"You two might want to stand back."

A bright light flooded the garage, forcing Abby, Tim and everyone else in the room to cover their eyes. When the light dissipated and eyes stopped burning, hands came down and allowed everyone to see again.

They were greeted to the sight of an incredibly tall, menacing-looking creature. Green chitin covered the thing, with black plates appearing to be gloves covering its hands. Its antennae brushed the ceiling of the Evidence Garage, and bright red eyes on its head stood out from the rest of its body. Tucked under one arm were three dark bags, while the other held a complete PC setup. A length of rope wound itself around the creature's waist, with the other end securely tied to the wreckage from the accident. Just off to the side of the creature was a mostly familiar group of people.

Gibbs made his way toward the elevator, brushing past everyone in his path.

"Ziva, get me profiles on everyone who's been in contact with the Ichijouji family within the last three months. DiNozzo, work with the Detective and create a list of possible suspects. Abby, that..." His hand motioned toward the giant green behemoth while he struggled to find the right word. "...guy has a computer with him, see what you can get off of it. McGee, take the bodies he has down to Ducky in Autopsy, then start processing the car."

Tony spoke first. "Where are you going, boss?"

"Coffee." Gibbs said as he reached the elevator, bringing his eye level with a scanner that would open the doors for him. Said doors opened with a ding, allowing Gibbs to step inside and slap a button on the panel. Once the doors shut again, Tony felt the confidence to speak.

"You guys see that?"

"No," Abby said. "My eyes are still out of it. Either I'm seeing some serious spots, or there's a giant Praying Mantis-looking creature standing in the middle of the garage with a computer in one hand, three body bags under its other arm and a huge hunk of metal tied to its midsection."

The creature carefully set the computer down before offering a small wave of his hand.

"Hi."

At this point, Abby started making her way to the elevator with slow steps, eyes going wide in shock. "And it talks. With no mouth."

Tony chuckled. "Well, I did. Gibbs was freaked."

Ken looked at him. "How can you tell?"

"Simple. He started going for the elevator before giving orders. He never does that. He always talks before he walks."

"Well, that does not surprise me." Ziva said. She wavered in place, her mind ready to start moving, but her feet refusing to follow her brain's orders. "After what we just witnessed, I would be surprised if it didn't bother him."

The Americans in the room stood in place, each of them trying to come to terms with what was going on around them. Ken watched the group, silently enjoying the view of people encountering a Digimon and the Digital World for the first time.

"So, uh, where should I set everything?"

Five sets of eyes turned to Stingmon, four of them in while one did so in amusement.
