Yes, I'm back. Not sure what to say here, so... let's get on with it.
Hiccup shook his head in bewilderment. "What do you mean, Ruffnut sent you a text message?"
Fishlegs shrugged. "I'm as surprised as you! Apparently she's been enamoured with me since I beat her."
Hiccup frowned. "You don't think Snot hypnotized her, do you?"
Fishlegs shrugged. "Maybe he thinks he can hypnotize me if Ruff gets to me."
Then the husky boy noted his friend's expression. "Something the matter?"
"Just something bugging me since you caught Bargemine. Maybe I should catch an aquatic Pokemon, too."
Fishlegs shrugged again. "Might be worth your while."
Bargemine, still swimming along the bridge, let out a trill and splashed.
Fishlegs nodded. "Bargemine could blast something into the shallows for you."
Bargemine nodded.
Hiccup looked over his team. "Any of you want to-"
His Pokemon let out various sounds, all of them volunteering.
"Alright. Sharpshot, you're up."
The Eevee squealed happily, while Speedy and Skyfire drooped sadly, and Toothless glared with jealousy.
Fishlegs shrugged. "Alright, then. Bargemine, Ice Beam!"
Bargemine let out a loud cry and blasted a random spot on the water. A Wishiwashi flew out and landed on the bridge, wiggling pathetically.
"Nope."
Skyfire, apparently wanting to do something for his master, flapped down, grabbed the fish, and dropped it back into the water, where it swam away.
Bargemine fired again, and this time landed a Barboach.
"Nope."
Skyfire dropped this one back in the water as well. This continued for some time.
Magikarp: "Nah."
Wailmer: "No."
Clamperl: "Eh."
Popplio: "Nah."
Feebas: "No."
Relicanth: "Hmm... no."
Bargemine, now completely exasperated, fired again, and struck something completely invisible.
Well, not invisible. The blast of icy energy had catapulted something the exact colour of the water around it into the air, where it landed on the bridge, looked at Hiccup, and promptly vanished.
He frowned. "Hmm... Sharpshot, use Swift."
The golden stars streaked forwards and definitely impacted something, if the burst of sparkles and cry of pain were any indication. Colors rapidly shifted as the mysterious Pokemon was hurled into the air, revealing the identity of it: a Skrelp.
Hiccup blinked. "Camouflage? Interesting... Legs? Opinion?"
"Go for it. A Dragalge could be useful."
Hiccup nodded. "Sharpshot, you heard the man. Swift!"
More stars blasted forwards as Skrelp shrieked and tried to get back in the water. It didn't work.
Skrelp cried out, before spewing Acid. Sharpshot countered with a Quick Attack, springing aside and dashing around as Skrelp fired more bursts of corrosive liquid.
Hiccup realized too late what Skrelp was doing. Sharpshot made another lunge which the Water-Type made no move to counter, and his paw splashed in the Acid. A sharp cry rang out in sync with the sizzling sound of fur and paw pads beginning to corrode.
Skyfire let out a shriek of rage and shot forwards, slamming his beak into Skrelp. Speedy was next, lashing out with Twineedle. Then Toothless with Dragon Rage, which Skrelp was too damaged to dodge.
Hiccup was completely uncaring about this. Rather than catch the Skrelp, he ran to Sharpshot and pulled out a Potion. "Legs, do we need anything else? Oran Berries, Antidotes, anything?"
Fishlegs, now quite pale, shook his head. "J-just a Potion sh-should do it."
Sure enough, Sharpshot's pads began healing with a simple spray, the fur around it quickly growing back. Then he turned around and pulled an empty Poke Ball out of his pocket. "Alright, you guys know the drill by now."
Skrelp, weakly picking her head up, took one look at the Poke Ball, screeched in terror, and made for the water, completely forgetting the small fact that she knew Camouflage.
"Toothless? If you would?"
The Gible hurled himself forwards, grabbing Skrelp and holding her in place long enough for the Poke Ball to smack her in the face. A flash of red light later, she was gone, and the Ball was rocking.
A flash of gold sparkles sprang from the button.
Skrelp was caught.
Hiccup smirked. "Success. Now, what to call you..."
They'd reached the end of the bridge at last. Hiccup's newest Pokemon was resting in his hair, not wanting to greet the other Pokemon. Hiccup sighed. "Phantom, you're going to have to meet them at some point."
"Skrelp! Skrel, skrelp!"
Hiccup nodded. "Alright. Go ahead, stay on my head. Hopefully Skyfire won't try to grab you."
Skyfire the excellent Fletchling understood, swooping down to grab Phantom and drop her onto Toothless. The Skrelp promptly let out a scream of terror and made for the water.
Skyfire grabbed her again and dropped her on Speedy this time.
This game of Scare Phantom went on for a while, until Fishlegs elbowed Hiccup in the ribs. "Hiccup! Look!"
He looked... and noted that he was no longer on the bridge.
Outcast Island stretched out before him. Fishlegs had begun squealing. "Ohmigosh we made it! Outcast Island, Hiccup!"
Hiccup chuckled. "And we made it before Snotlout! I'm feeling a sudden urge to shove it in his face!"
Then he looked over and saw Fishlegs turning bright red as his cheeks swelled. Hiccup smirked. "Let it out, Legs! You can't keep a lid on it forever!"
And Fishlegs complied: "Outcast Island! Typically the first Gym people challenge! Leader is Alvin! Specializes in Ground-Types! Strongest Pokemon: Groundsplitter, Onix, female! Largest landmark: Exile Mountain! Titan Pokemon: Steelix! Facilities: Pokemon Center, Beryl Hotel, Poke Mart, Outcast Gym! Main wild Pokemon population: Ground and Rock types, all extremely hostile!"
"Are you done?"
"...yes... I'm done... whew!"
Hiccup shook his head in amusement, until an annoying voice interrupted them. "Hey, Useless! Looks like you finally made it-"
"Snotlout, we got here before you, and that's after we had to fight a Titan Charizard."
Ruffnut ran up grinnng. "You're tough, Haddock." She turned to Fishlegs, her smile becoming more predatory. "I like that..."
Fishlegs blinked a few times. "Right. Meatlug and Iggy are completely exhausted. We're going to the Pokemon Centre."
Hiccup blinked. "They are?"
Fishlegs shot a significant look at his Pokemon. "Yes, they are."
Meatlug and Iggy began letting out groans and flopped onto the ground. Bargemine, dragging herself inland, scooped them both up with her mouth and placed them on her shell.
Hiccup turned around and began walking towards the Pokemon Centre, Fishlegs and their teams following behind.
The screams of a man in agony were halted. A shadowy figure lowered his hand, and an armoured Manectric halted a Thunderbolt attack. "What do you mean, you were attacked?"
The man on the ground trembled in terror. "S-s-sir, the woman p-protecting the liberated P-pokemon l-l-located our facility. S-she lead an a-attack, and w-w-we thought we could f-fend her off, but s-she s-summoned the Legendary Pokemon! We couldn't claim victory!"
The shadowed figure glared. "And would you care to explain how exactly you didn't notice the small fact that a Reshiram and an army led by an Elite Four member escaped your attention?!"
"S-sir-"
"Explain it! Give me an reason to spare your life!"
The man stared down at the floor. "...I have no excuse, sir."
The figure rolled his eyes. "That's what I thought. Haulmauler! Whip-Wreck! Hardcast! Take him to the Cavern."
The man on the floor let out a scream at once. "No, Master! Please! Not the cavern, anything but the cavern!"
"Those who fail Drago Bludvist must receive according punishment."
The Manectric, joined by a Rhyperior and a Salamence, surrounded the man and dragged him towards an icy hole in a stone wall, set into the cavern in which the entire 'interview' had taken place. Bludvist stood up and glared at the other men in the room. "Well? Get back to work! I want my armada ready to sail by Dreadfall!"
Drago stepped off his throne and walked into a private room, nodding to the scarred man standing there. "You saw that?"
The man stepped forwards, a Houndoom and a Pinsir walking beside him. "The woman has control of a Reshiram?"
Drago nodded. "It would appear that she does have a Legendary Pokemon."
A hollow roar rang out from the Cavern, followed by an onimous cracking noise and a scream of pain that was almost instantly replaced by a wet gurgle.
Drago smirked. "Which is why it's a good thing we have one of our own."
Yep, that's it for now. Another chapter will be out soon (hopefully), so stay tuned. Next chapter will also have the Pokemon list.
Next chapter: Spikeback
