I am so sorry for the wait guys. There was a death in the family followed by finals and I just back home to California yesterday and things have been nuts. Thanks for sticking with me.

The guests all made their way to the reception hall while the wedding party stayed behind to take photos while they still had control over that section of the library. Both families, all the Liars and both sides of the wedding party were placed in different photos throughout the library. Emily had surprised the other girls' families by asking to have at least one picture of all the Liars and their parents. When asked why, Spencer muttered under her breath that it was so they would be able to prove in one picture that they all survived into adulthood.

Once those photos were done, the rest of them all left for the reception hall, while the photographer took photos of just Emily and Paige. After 20 minutes, they got all the shots they wanted and knew they needed to get to the wedding reception. The limo ride was brief and they pulled up to the banquet hall just as the last few guests were making their way inside. Paige helped Emily out of the car and they were quickly guided to the door of the banquet hall and told to wait until the DJ announced them.

"You ready to be the center of attention for the rest of the day?" Emily blushed at Paige's question, because she usually hated being the center of attention, but not today.

"As long as you stick by my side, I'm absolutely ready." They shared the briefest of kisses before they were announced and the doors to the reception hall opened wide, allowing them to step inside. People clapped and cheered as they made their way to the wedding party table and finally took their seats. Everyone else followed suit and as they sat down everyone was served their meal and the alcohol had begun to flow freely. As everyone began to finish their meals the DJ paused the music and handed the microphone over to Spencer.

"Hey everybody, I know a few people are still finishing up their food, but we wanted to get the speeches started so we can get to the dancing faster and don't lie to me and say you don't want to see if Hanna actually took those dancing lessons we bought her for her birthday last year." Everyone laughed and gave their full attention to Spencer as she continued.

"I must have started writing this speech a thousand times and every time I threw the paper away, deciding that it wasn't right or wasn't enough. Being the maid of honor is not for the faint of heart and I never would have thought that writing this speech would be the hardest thing I faced in this whole wedding process. Here's the thing you guys, Emily has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember and we seen each other through some pretty monumental life experiences. And I don't just mean the usual milestones of drivers' licenses, first kisses, heartbreaks and college acceptance letters. I mean we've saved each others lives, literally and held each other through perhaps one too many funerals. We did it together, us and our little rag tag group of friends. Then one day something changed." Spencer pointed straight to Paige and the woman in question couldn't help but blush slightly.

"It started out like a story straight out of the third grade: you know the ones where a little boy pulls on the pigtails of the girl he secretly likes. Paige wasn't always so eloquent in being able to tell Emily that she loved her and even if she had the ability to say the words, Emily was always surrounded by one of us and I've been told we are intimidating." That earned a laugh from everyone, but especially from Emily and the girls themselves.

"I didn't always like Paige, truth be told there was a period of about 3 months were I hated everything she did, more over I hated that when I looked at Emily she had this far away look in her eye. The look that told me that my best friend was falling in love with my mortal enemy. We had several come to Jesus moments and it took almost losing both of them for me to realize that Paige wasn't going anywhere and more over, she loved Emily enough to protect her and be there for her when I simply could not. That pill was hard for me to swallow: everyone here knows how much I hate being wrong."

"But I was glad to be wrong because look how it ended up. Most people our age who get married, do so for the wrong reasons: lust, money, pregnancy, boredom, social pressure. That is not the marriage that you all witnessed today. This is a marriage, a union that has been forged in the fire of adversity. Hand in hand, my best friend and her wife have braved hell, and I mean that in every sense of the word. Through the good and bad, in tragedy and triumph, they never lost sight of each other and their love kept them fighting when it would have been understood if they had given up. But these two never give up on anything and for this reason alone I know that in 50 years I'll be celebrating their golden anniversary with swarms of children, grandchildren and friends celebrating it with me. I'm not very good at big emotional gestures, but I'll make the exception here." Spencer grabbed the bottle of champagne from the table, ignoring the glass that was already poured. She held the bottle by the neck out in Emily and Paige's direction.

"Paige. I hate being wrong, but I am so happy that I was wrong about you. You make Emily so happy, the happiest I've ever seen her. When we were younger we always dreamed of what our lives would be like when our prince would come. Clearly fairytales hadn't gotten the message that some of the kids they would be peaching to would be gay, but all that aside. Emily always talked about marrying someone who was funny, smart, brave and someone who could challenge her. I never understood what she meant till we grew up and she explained. If your spouse doesn't challenge you and push you to be the very best person you can be, why marry them. The challenge is what forces you both to grow and change throughout your lives together, but instead of growing separately, you grow and change together, making each other better and loving each other for the flaws that no one can avoid. I can't imagine Emily becoming a better person than she already is, mostly because she is one of the kindest people I know, but if anyone can encourage her to grow and be an even better person it's you. So cheers to you for putting up with her crazy friends and making us all breathe a little easier knowing that Emily will be loved and cared for all the years of her life, by someone who truly loves her with all their heart." Paige liked it a lot more when she and Spence would bicker and call each other names to show affection, mostly because when they were honest and mushy to each other, tears were sure to follow. Paige brushed tears away and tried to remain composed as Spencer finished her speech.

"And to Emily. This was the part of the speech that I had the hardest part writing. All the quotes on being best friends that I found on the Internet seemed overdone and none of them covered exactly what I wanted to say. So I thought about it for months and finally I came to my senses some time around 3 this morning. When you become someone's best friend, your life just changed drastically and forever. Being a best friend is like falling love in that your life becomes all about wanting the very best for that person. In our little group of four, Emily always seemed to be dealt the hardest blows and the most unfair hand. The three of us often watched, helpless to stop it, as Emily got hurt time and time again and every time all could do is wish for something better to happen to her tomorrow. We made that same wish a thousand times and finally…well something better happened to her. Paige happened to her and that better tomorrow became more than a distant hope. Seeing you happy, is everything we have wished for you over the last several years of our lives. But just so we are clear, we'll always want the best for you, because of everyone I've ever met, you're the person who deserves every blessing in this life and I will pay any price to see that you get it. Seeing you so happy and in love is one of the most beautiful things I've ever had the pleasure of witnessing and I can't wait to see you both take Boston by storm. To Emily and Paige." Spencer raised the bottle she had been holding high above her head and took a healthy swig from it. When she dared look over to Emily she was trying to brush he tears out of her eyes as she stood up. Spencer managed to put the bottle she was holding down before being engulfed in a hug by Emily.

"I love you too and couldn't hate you more for making me cry like this." They held on a little longer than they needed to, but when they pulled away the smile shared between the two friends was genuine and full of love. Spencer took her seat and as much as he would have loved to avoid it totally, it was now Caleb's turn to talk.

So I decided to split this in two so that it's not super overwhelming. Once again, I'm super sorry for it having been so long since I updated last, but thanks for sticking with me.
