Sebastian sat in his dorm room composing music on his computer. He hummed loudly, mostly to annoy his room mate.
"What time is it Noah?" Sebastian asked his Asian room mate. He didn't look up.
"Maybe you should find out yourself Sebastian." Noah answered angrily. Sebastian laughed.
"Oh dear, you're not mad at me are you?" Sebastian mocked.
"For a matter of fact," Noah slammed his book down. "I am. I read that avoiding conflict isn't good, so here I am; you are a horrible room mate!" Noah exclaimed.
Sebastian mocked a serious face. "Oh no, chopsticks, I had no idea."
"My name is not chopsticks! That's racist. I hate how you call me names, sing loudly, you invite people to our dorm without telling me, you never sleep, and you throw your dirty clothes into my hamper!" Noah ranted.
"Seems like a waste for both of us to do laundry." Sebastian shrugged.
"I'm not doing your laundry Sebastian, if you can't do it, take it home on the weekends. And that's another thing, you never go home on the weekends, and sometimes I like to stay and study here because my siblings are noisy, but you are here!"
"Wait, how can you have more than one sibling? Isn't that illegal in Asia?" Sebastian asked.
Noah groaned. "I was born in the United States Sebastian, I just have Asian heritage."
Sebastian nodded. "Well I'm glad we had this talk Soy sauce, but I asked for the time because I have somewhere to be." Sebastian got up and went to his closet to pick out an outfit.
Noah's mouth fell open, "We need to talk about this. You are still acting undesirable."
Sebastian slipped on a shirt promoting Fall out Boy. "Deal with it Noah. See you later." Sebastian told as he left the dorm. It was 6:20, at 6:30 they group were supposed to meet at Breadsticks.
He got into his car and drove towards the restaurant. He usually steered clear of the place since it was a popular McKinney hang out, but apparently it was Jason's favorite place to eat, so that's where the group decided to go.
Sebastian got there and waited in the parking lot for a minute or two before entering. Breadsticks was reasonably crowded, since it was a Friday night. Sebastian knew what table that the group had reserved though so he ignored the hostess and headed straight to the table. It was empty. Sebastian paused. Where are they? He slowly made his way to the empty booth and sat down. They must be late. Or maybe in the bathroom. Yeah, girls go to the bathroom in pairs and Jason has a tiny bladder. That's where they are. Sebastian drummed his fingers on the table as he waited for them to return. He started to think of things he could say about his sudden appearance. Two minutes quickly turned to four, which turned into 10. Sebastian groaned. Where the hell are they? He rubbed his temples, bored of waiting. "Excuse me," he stopped the waitress near him. He glanced at her name tag. "Lucy, uh, there were reservations for this table, when did they check in?"
Lucy smiled. She was an older woman, but Sebastian could feel her eyes observing his body. "Those reservations were cancelled dear. Can I help you with anything else?" She asked, Sebastian could tell from her predatory gaze and tone that she really wished he did.
Sebastian shook his head. "No." he got up and left quickly. That snitch. Jason must have told, and so they canceled the whole thing. Doesn't anyone follow the bro code anymore? Sebastian stomped out of Breadsticks. He shivered as the night's wind hit him. Sebastian wasn't sure how to deal with being set up. It had never happened to him before. He bitterly reached into the inside of his coat. He had a secret pocket in there. He unzipped it and pulled out a box of cigarettes.
Sebastian heard the usual voices in his head as he lit a cigarette, they told him he was going to get cancer and smoking made him a loser. He placed the cigarette in his mouth as he leaned against the wall.
"Sebastian? Aren't you a little young for that?"
Sebastian ignored this voice. He would answer all of these protesting voices with a shrug of his shoulders.
"Sebastian?"
Sebastian quickly turned his head. Shit. It wasn't a voice from inside his head, it was real, and belonged to Blaine Anderson. He and Kurt looked to Sebastian with raised eyebrows and hints of worry in their eyes. "Anderson, Lady Hummel. What are you doing here?" was the only thing Sebastian could think to reply.
"Um, Friday is date night." Kurt replied. He sounded slightly scared, which intrigued Sebastian.
"Oh, well goodie for you. Bye now." Sebastian kicked of the wall and started to walk to his car. He felt Blaine's hand wrap around his arm, stopping his stride. Sebastian turned and glared at him, and tried to make it clear through his green eyes that Blaine had better let go. Blaine wasn't intimidated.
"You can't smoke Sebastian, one your not old enough and two, it's dangerous."
"Maybe I like dangerous" Sebastian retorted.
"Usually, when people break rules, it's because they are hurt." Blaine said.
"Or it means they're teenagers. Seriously Blaine, stop being a drama queen. This isn't a big deal." Sebastian jerked his arm away and stalked towards his car.
"What would your parents think?" he heard Kurt yell at him.
Sebastian scoffed. Their opinion of me couldn't get any worse. He said nothing to Kurt though, just got into his car. He put his cigarette out first though, because he didn't want his car to smell like smoke.
Sebastian drove around for quite a while before he realized, he didn't really know where to go. Of course, Dalton was an obvious choice, but for some reason Sebastian just didn't want to go there. Being stood up (kinda) made Sebastian realize something. He was lonely. Sebastian wasn't exactly the type to make friends. He wasn't open enough to have any real connections with people, so he just had acquaintances, or people that would tolerate him. The thought had never really occurred to him until now though. Whatever. That just means I'm independent. Sebastian nodded at his thought. But in the moment, he felt like a loser. How could I not have friends? That was easy to answer, Sebastian had no real friends because he pissed people off, and pushed them away. Sebastian turned up his radio to push all those thoughts away. They were annoying.
Love it? Hate it?
