Ok, it's been a while and I need to update a few things! This was at the top of my list! I have been neglecting my stories a little, and this is an apology of sorts... I am so sorry! But this chapter is longer than most, and as soon as I have finished my exams, I will give my wonderful reader, my full attention! I love you guys! Please R&R!
And while I have your attention, I was reading a new story by a new writer! It's called 'friend... or foe'! I love it, and I'm sure you will too!
Mai and Yasu had stayed together, against overwhelming odds. They had been through all the things a normal relationship goes through...
Their first kiss...
Mai had loathed horror films, for as long as she could remember. It made sense, if you considered her old job. Yasu on the other hand, loved them and had seen a vast majority of them. So when they went to the movies, about 6 months into their relationship, for about the eight time. Mai had insisted Yasu pick a film. He picked the horror called 'the conjuring' he had seen in adverts.
Mai had, as expected, hidden herself throughout the film, holding onto Yasu for her dear life.
"Mai? Are you ok?" He asked softly, his voice no more than a whisper. Mai nodded, leaning her head on his shoulder.
"Yeah, I guess so" Mai whispered back, trying not to gain the attention of other movie goers surrounding them. Yasu pulled her closed, tilting her head up, and seeing that she was lying.
"Mai" Yasu muttered, a force pulling him forward. Mai looked up at him, her eyes calm considering. She lent in as well, and as their lips made contact, her eyes fluttered shut, slowly followed by Yasu's. He moved his lips slowly against hers, their lack of experience evident. He slowly deepened the kiss, feeling Mai kiss him back.
For the next five minutes, they ignored the film, with their courage renewed, they stayed like that. Once they were both out of breath, the lust subsided and they watched the film again, a new light in their eyes.
Their first time staying over...
Later that night, after the film, Yasu had insisted on walking her home. He said he wouldn't be able to sleep at night if she didn't let him. Mai reluctantly agreed, secretly scared that something was going to pop out at her. When they reached Mai's door, Yasu said his goodbyes and was about to leave.
"Wait!" Mai called, gaining his undivided attention. Mai looked down, her eyes shut. "Um... can you, um... can you stay here tonight" Mai asked, trying her best not to sound like a child. Yasu smiled, and agreed, all to happily.
And hour later, when they had planned to go to bed, Yasu migrated to the sofa, and was content sleeping there. Mai had gone to her bed room, and was trying to sleep. After a few minutes, she did...
About half an hour later, Mai woke, her nightmare fresh in her memory. She clung onto her sheets, not knowing if she was going to be able to get back to sleep.
She got off her bed, and walked into the front room. Yasu was sleeping on the sofa, his face looked angelic and he looked hansom without his glasses. Mai herself preferred them, they looked cute on him. She hesitantly reached out, and shook his shoulder. He woke and turned his glassy gaze towards Mai.
"Mai?" He asked, sitting up.
"I, um, I had a nightmare" Mai admitted, taking a seat next to him. Yasu wrapped his arms around her, before kissing the top of her head.
"If you like, you can stay here for a while" Yasu offered, letting Mai lean her head on his shoulders. She was asleep in no time.
Yasu smiled, looking at her adorable sleeping face. He lifted her with ease, and carried her to her bed, knowing she wasn't going to sleep well on the sofa.
Once he had lay her down, and draped the cover over her, he turned to leave. He felt a hand close around his wrist. He turned, seeing Mai looking up at him. She gently pulled him to her side, and scooted over, before patting the space next to him.
Yasu was reluctant at first, but he joined her, wrapping his arms around her. They both fell into a deep slumber, in each others arms...
Meeting the parents...
Yasu had told Mai, about a week ago, that he wanted her to meet his parents. She was far past petrified... she wondered what Yasu's parents were like... would they like her?
She had spent the last hour getting ready, and she still hadn't picked a suitable outfit. She didn't even have that much clothes...
Yasu and Mai were about 8 months into the relationship, but they had both been trying to avoid meeting the parents. Yasu found them embarrassing and full on, and Mai was scared to make a fool of herself...
Anyway, after Mai had found a dress and gotten changed, Yasu and Mai left. It wasn't too far, no longer than a five-minute walk.
Yasu knocked on the door, and it took less than a few seconds for it to open, Yasu's brother behind it was the biggest grin on his face.
He looked a lot like his brother, only younger and without glasses. He looked at Mai as if surveying her for a fashion show. Mai bit her lip, already intimidated by the boy who was no older than 12.
"Awe, she is so cute!" He exclaimed, taking Mai's hand in his and pulling her in. Yasu winced, regretting his decision. The boy pulled Mai into the living room, where Yasu's parents were sitting. "Hey mum! Dad! This is Osamu's girlfriend!" The boy yelled, dragging out the word 'girlfriend' in a very teasing manner.
"Hey, leave Mai alone!" Yasu scolded, Mai blushed at the attention. Yasu's parents stood, and walked up to Mai. Yasu's mother looked a lot like Yasu. She wore glasses, but her hair was tinted with a dark reddish-purple. Yasu's father had brown hair, that was darker than Mai's. He had sharp features and looked like he had matured nicely.
Mai bowed out of respect, and when she stood, she smiled. "Its a pleasure to meet you, I'm Mai Taniyama, but please call me Mai" Mai greeted, feeling a little nerves. Ms Yasuhara tried her best to stop a big goofy grin from spreading. Mr Yasuhara bowed back, voicing a greeting of his own.
"Awe! She is adorable! Where has my son been hiding this cutie!" Ms Yasuhara exclaimed, pulling Mai in for a hug. Mai blushed again, but excepted the hug.
"Mother" Yasu scolded. She let go, surrendering to her sons frown.
"Fine! But she simply must stay for dinner...
Mai smiled at the memory...
Three years into Mai and Yasu's relationship.
Mai ran through the rain, certain her luck couldn't get any worse. She ran to her house, before quickly unlocking her door and stepping through.
"I'm home!" She called. And it didn't take long for her boyfriend to walk out of the kitchen to greet her. He smiled at her, wrapping his arms around her.
"Your soaked" Yasu told her. Mai smiled at his observation, before wrapping her arms around his neck. Yasu leaned in, giving Mai a short kiss. Mai leaned into him, feeling herself melt into his arms. "How was your day?"
"Long... My boss is a real slave driver" Mai moaned, leaning in again, kissing Yasu with as much love and passion as when he kissed her.
"Ok, dinner is nearly ready, so go have a shower and change out of those wet clothes" Yasu suggested, gently shoving Mai out the room. Mai giggled, but did as she was told. Yasu, on the other hand, set up the table.
He was in the middle of lighting the candles, when Mai walked in. She was wearing a dark blue night-dress, and had a towel around her neck.
"What's all this?" She asked, still drying the ends of her hair. She knew exactly what this was. She just wondered if she wasn't the only one who remembered.
"Don't tell me you forgot?" Yasu teased. Mai placed a hand on her heart, pouting.
"How could you even think I would forget?" Mai cried, pretending to be upset.
"Good, just making sure! I really can't believe it's been three years today" Yasu confessed, holding out some flowers. Mai took them, a small blush dusting her cheeks. She then walked to the corner of the room, pulling out a small parcel from behind the bookshelf.
"Do you want your present now, or do you want to wait?" Mai asked, holding the hand sized box.
"It's up to you" Yasu told her, pulling out a small box from his pocket.
"The suspense is killing me! Hand it over" Mai demanded, holding out the gift she had gotten. Yasu gave Mai hers, before ripping the green paper covering his. He was pleasantly surprised to see the watch he was secretly admiring.
"Thank you, how did you know?" Yasu asked, to which Mai winked and opened her gift, smiling like a child on Christmas. It was a necklace, with a gold chain. In the middle, in elegant Kenji, spelt 'Mai and Yasu forever'. Mai pulled Yasu in for a kiss, feeling overwhelmed. She loved it, and couldn't wait to try it on. Mai helped Yasu with his watch, then Yasu helped Mai with the necklace.
"Thank you, it's so pretty" Mai thanked, admiring the it in the mirror. Yasu wrapped his arms around her, kissing her neck.
"Dinner is going to get cold" Yasu told her, walking to the table and pulling out Mai's seat for her. Mai grinned, taking the seat and watching as Yasu took the one opposite her...
Yasu had the up most respect for Mai. He hadn't made any moves, or tried anything. He loved her too much for that. Mai had made him wait, and she wasn't sure how much longer he would...
After their dinner, Mai pulled Yasu into their room. As soon as the door was shut, she kissed him. She pushed herself up against him, allowing Yasu to deepen the kiss. She pulled him by his tie to the bed, pulling him on top of her. Yasu didn't stop her, feeling lust wash over him.
Mai had unbuttoned his shirt and pulled off his tie, and that's when there was a knock on the door. They were going to ignore it, but who ever it was, wasn't that easily deterred. Mai sighed, getting up to get it. Yasu beat her to it, knowing Mai was the talkative type. Mai pouted sitting back on the bed.
Yasu walked into the hall, opening the door. He froze in shock...
Mai waited to hear a voice, to see who it was. After a few more seconds, and no one uttered a word, her curiosity got the better of her.
"Osuma, who is it?" She called, her voice sounding as childish as ever. Yasu didn't answer her, so Mai took matters into her own hands. She left her room, walking into the hall. She door was open, and covering who ever it was. Yasu was just standing there, a scowl on his lips. "Who is it?" Mai asked, again, walking up to him and wrapping an arm around him before peaking out of behind him. Her eyes locked with midnight blue ones.
"Naru...
OMG! Did that just happen?! I am really sorry, it's kinda rushed, but we are getting to the best bit! What will happen next? R&R! It makes me write!
