By the Gods you guys are killing me! I'm not telling you when Toothless will return! Remember on the first chapter he said I WILL RETURN! Now calm down and be patient will you! Phew, sorry about that. Anyway, on with this chapter, sorry it took so long.
Chapter 7: Yun and Trinity
In a forest on the Isle of Quiet Life, the Master Fury known as Yun Anto walked along the forest floor. This was his second day away from Berk, as he tried to find a way to get rid of the Darkness still residing within him. The name of the island didn't lie. It was quiet. Peaceful, with no signs of disturbance. Yun liked the peace and quiet.
He stretched his front legs and yawned, deciding that it was time go back to his cave and get some rest. He turned around and started walking. Then, he saw an eagle attacking something in a hollowed out tree. Yun ran over and hit the eagle with his wing. The bird shrieked at Yun then flew away.
"What was it attacking?" Yun asked himself. He looked in the tree and saw a boy Night Fury hatchling. The baby had dark blue scales, a green left eye, and an orange right eye. Yun was marvelled by the different coloured eyes. The baby cowered back in fear, folding his wings around himself.
"It's okay. You can come out now," Yun said. Yun backed up to let the baby get out of the tree. The boy slowly crawled out of the tree. Yun leant his head down and rounded his pupils to make himself seem less menacing to the hatchling. The baby tried to touch Yun with his paw, but he ended up falling on his side.
"He seems to be fine," Yun said. Yun turned around and began to walk away. The hatchling started to follow Yun, but he tripped and fell on the side of his face, grazing his cheek. Tears formed in the hatchlings eyes and he started to cry out loud. Yun heard this and stopped walking.
Yun turned around and saw the hatchling crying. He felt sorry for the little guy; he had to do something, though he didn't want to. Yun groaned and walked over to the hatchling. Yun leant down and licked the hatchling's grazed cheek. He looked up at Yun, tears still dripping from his snout.
"Don't cry little one. I'll protect you," Yun said. The hatchling stared at Yun for a moment, but then squeaked as he smiled. Yun lowered his head down for the hatchling to climb on. "Hop on," Yun said.
The hatchling struggled to climb atop Yun's head but eventually succeeded. Yun brought his head back up and began to walk in the direction he was going before. The hatchling turned around to see where Yun was going, and then noticed the green diamond shape on Yun's head. The boy tapped the diamond shape twice with his right paw.
This irritated Yun and, being a Master Fury, decided to make the diamond disappear. Then he realised that would only make the hatchling more curious, so he decided against it.
Yun had to put up with the hatchling's nonsense for a whole hour, but he finally got back to his cave. He created the cave out in the open forest using his Rune Stone. Next to the cave was a small pond. The water was clear which allowed him to see perfectly into the water. Not only to observe what was in there, but it also allowed him to catch fish with greater ease. Not that he had any trouble to begin with.
Yun walked into the cave with the hatchling still on his head. "Alright, hop down," Yun told the boy, lowering his head. The hatchling jumped down and landed without hurting himself. He looked around curiously inspecting the cave.
"You can sleep in here with me tonight," Yun said. The hatchling turned around and looked at Yun with wide eyes. Yun paid no attention and walked past the hatchling. Yun lied down with his left side facing the hatchling and then closed his eyes, trying to get some sleep.
The hatchling walked up to Yun, noticed that he was sleeping, and then cuddled up next to him and closing his eyes. Yun opened his eyes and looked down at the hatchling. Yun noticed how cute the hatchling looked as he slept, and smiled as it made him feel a warmth inside himself.
"Don't worry. I won't let anything happen to you… Trinity," Yun said slowly. Yun named the hatchling Trinity, for his three colours. His dark blue scales, green left eye, and orange right eye. It was then that Yun decided to take Trinity in as his adopted son. Yun leant his head down next to Trinity and closed his eyes, going to sleep.
The next morning, Trinity opened his eyes to see that Yun was gone. He looked around and saw, although unbeknownst to him, Yun in his Dragonian form, with his legs crossed and his hands on his knees.
Trinity slowly passed Yun and in front of him. The hatchling looked at his adopted father's head and recognized the green diamond pattern. This completely confused Trinity, but he knew that it was Yun.
Yun had his eyes closed, meditating and trying to subdue the darkness within him. He shot open his eyes, his right one glowing dark red, and stumbled to his feet.
"Arrrgh!" Yun shouted. Yun fell to his hands and knees and began coughing. He coughed violently and coughed up blood onto the ground. He held his right hand to his mouth to stop any blood from coming out. Trinity jumped back in surprise and shock as he got scared.
After a few more seconds, Yun opened his eyes again, his right one back to normal, and he sat back down and crossed his legs. Yun noticed Trinity beside him, looking frightened as he stared at Yun. Yun became worried and held out his hand, to which Trinity backed away from.
"Trinity wait it's me," Yun said panicking. Yun transformed back to normal and looked at Trinity. "See. It's okay, it's me," Yun repeated. Trinity calmed down and looked at Yun confusingly. Trinity walked up to Yun and cuddled against the adult's muzzle. Yun licked the tears off of Trinity's face. "Even I find you adorable," Yun said, smiling. Yun stepped back and transformed again. Trinity was confused to the new form before him, but he recognised Yun's scent. Yun kneeled down and Trinity allowed himself to be picked up in Yun's arms.
As Yun carried Trinity through the forest Trinity came to feel accustomed to Yun's current form. The two came to a large rock formation of boulders and Trinity jumped from Yun onto one of the boulders.
"Trinity, be careful!" Yun shouted. But that shout was just enough to make the boulders rumble and begin to collapse. Yun, thinking quickly, jumped up and grabbed Trinity. The boulders began to fall and Yun jumped down and threw Trinity away as he rolled. But he wasn't fast enough, the boulders fell onto Yun's right arm, making him scream in pain as the bones cracked and broke. "AAAAARRRGGH! FUCK! SON OF A BITCH!" He leaned over as best he could and tried to pull his arm out, but that only made the pain greater. He then tried using the Rune Stone to lift up the boulders, but he was too fatigued and was unable to use his powers that much.
He tried desperately to summon up the Rune Stone, but to no avail. Trinity crawled closer and inspected Yun's pain riddled state. He whimpered as sniffed Yun. "Trinity, stay back!" Yun exclaimed. Trinity did as he was told and retreated to where he was standing before. Yun had no other choice to get free, there was only one option. Yun summoned his sword, blade first, at the base of his arm and cut it off. As he stood up, screaming, blood sprayed onto the ground. He acted quickly and summoned a small Rune Stone and covered the cut-off point to stop the bleeding. Still in great pain, Yun walked towards Trinity.
"Come on Trinity… Let's get out of here… and go home," Yun said. He grasped his missing arm and had an idea. He manipulated the current Rune Stone that was covering his wound and from it created an artificial stone arm, replicating his now missing one. He moved it around as he would his real one and smiled. "It worked," He said to himself. But Yun's smile quickly disappeared. He had to be sure that the same thing hadn't happened for his Dragon form too. He transformed back and, much to his dismay, found that his right leg was also stone, though he was able to move it freely. He growled in anger and transformed back to his Dragonian form.
"Come on Trinity," Yun ordered. Trinity hopped up into Yun's arms. His stone arms felt cold to the touch, but Trinity quickly got used to it.
After a few hours of flying Yun, with Trinity on his back, finally arrived at Berk. He landed near the centre of the village. As he landed, multiple Vikings and Dragons eyed him in both fear and confusion. As he walked he could hear them speaking about him.
"Hey, isn't that Yun?"
"Didn't he leave? And what's with that stone arm?"
He ignored the remarks and headed straight home. He walked up to the front door, opened it, and walked in. "Anyone home?" He asked as he walked in. Emerald was the the only one there and she smiled with glee.
"Yun!" She called out, running to him. She hugged him, ignoring the stone arm in this moment of happiness. "I'm so glad you're back," She said. She then moved back and touched Yun's arm, surprised to find it being an artificial arm. "Yun, what happened?" She asked, shocked. Yun looked at his arm.
"Boulders toppled down onto my arm. I had no choice but to cut it off," He said. Trinity hopped up from Yun's back and onto his head. "All while saving this little guy." Trinity jumped down from Yun and into Emerald's arms.
"A baby Night Fury?" Emerald questioned. Yun nodded.
"His name is Trinity. And… since I thought it would be that time…" Emerald looked at him quizzically, "he's my adopted son." Emerald's eyes widened, but she then broke out a smile and started laughing. "What's so funny?" Yun asked. Emerald shook her head.
"Nothing it's just, deep down you're such a softy." Emerald chuckled and pat Trinity's head, earning a delighted squeak from him. Yun rolled his eyes.
"Yeah, yeah. Whatever." As he walked up stairs Emerald followed him, playing with Trinity. Yun began to pack clothes into a bag. A black, short sleeve shirt with green accents, grey denim jeans, dark brown boots and grey undergarments. "Emerald, I would like you to look after Trinity for a few hours or so. I'm going into the forest to try and attain a new form," Yun said as he finished packing his things. He got up and walked past Emerald.
"What do you mean "new form"? What are you going to do?" She asked. Yun looked back at her with intent in his eyes.
"I'm going to try and attain a human form." This surprised Emerald. "Tell the others I'm back and what I'm doing."
Two hours later in the dense forest of Berk, Yun sat with his legs crossed and his eyes closed, meditating to try and transform into a human. Then finally, at last, Yun began to glow green. His wings retracted as did his tail, his snout became shorter and he began to grow hair. He started to look like a human.
As the glow faded, his human form was revealed and he opened his eyes. He had a slightly muscular build and was roughly 5'8" in height. His eyes were the same pure green. Atop his head was unruly, pale green hair that spiked out slightly to the sides of his head. His stone arm also remained He looked down at his pink, fleshy body and noticed he was naked, which is why he brought the clothes with him. He put them on and they fit perfectly, just as how he wanted. He picked the bag up and walked home.
As he walked through the village he got multiple weird looks from the vikings and dragons, but that didn't matter to him. He opened the door to his house and set the bag aside. "I'm back, finally," He called out. His whole family was there and they all stood up.
"Yun? Is that you?" Durga asked, being the first to notice the familiarity.
"Yes mother, it's me," Yun said. Emerald couldn't help but stare at Yun. She honestly found him attractive, hot even. "I see you staring at me, Emerald." Emerald, realizing her mistake, blinked and looked in another direction.
"So Yun," Lars started, "an adopted son?" Yun sighed and took Trinity from Emerald. The youngling jumped up and sat atop Yun's head, feeling his soft hair and brushing against it.
"That's right. I found him all alone and in trouble. So I helped him and he stuck with me," Yun said casually. A second later, Stormblaze walked through the door.
"Hello Yun. Welcome back," The Alpha greeted. Yun nodded towards him.
"Greetings, Alpha. Thank you," Yun said politely. Stormblaze smiled at his brother in law's respectful manners.
"I see. So this is the new you eh?" He asked. Yun chuckled.
"Both figuratively and literally." Yun reached up and grabbed Trinity, holding him in his arms. "This is Trinity, my son," Yun said. Cammy, moving a bit slowly, stepped forward.
"Hey guys, I think it's a good time for me to tell everyone." They all looked at Cammy as she folded her wings back from her sides, revealing her slightly bloated belly. "I'm pregnant."
Stormblaze was absolutely thrilled to hear this. "Are we really having kids?" He asked as he nuzzled against Cammy.
"That's right. I wanted to surprise you," She said. Yun smiled.
"Congratulations you two," Yun said as he put a hand on Stormblaze's shoulder.
As the days passed, everyone had grown accustomed to Yun's new form and Trinity. However, one night, the Blue Shadow appeared again. This time encountering Hiccup in the great hall.
Hiccup sat down at a table, looking through documents on Dragonian history. As he looked, one of the documents caught his curious eye. It was a book or journal, rather, titled "Arcon's Research Into Dark Dragons". He focused on this and read through it.
"Journal Entry No. 1
The existence of the Dark Dragons alludes me. How can beings such as themselves come into existence. I intend to find that out. With the help of the Peacekeepers I will conduct a search where Dark Dragon attacks have been most frequent and capture one of them for questioning. I will write another entry when there are further updates.
Journal Entry No. 2
We have captured a Dark Dragon and taken him in for questioning. As it turns out, our thoughts on the Dark Dragon's origins are not quite true. Dark Dragons aren't born, they're given their powers by Dark ones. How these powers came into existence we still have no clear idea of. But this Dark Dragon knows as much as we do, so he is no longer any use to us.
Journal Entry No. 3
Recently, we have had yet another attack by a Dark Dragoness who calls herself Axin. Due to her sheer power we have had no choice but to seal her inside our mage, Xina. This shows that we ARE able to contain the Dark Dragons in some way, though through this method there are some side effects. Xina will, albeit rarely, lose control of her body and Axin will take control. It is like a split personality in a way."
Hiccup quickly skipped a few pages to see what else was there.
"Journal Entry No. 10
I am such a fool. I never should have begun this research. Now he is after me. The destroyer of life. The bringer of death. No power on Earth can stop him. Please, to whoever finds this; beware the power of the Arcane."
At this point, Hiccup was scared. Never before had he heard of any kind of power so great. If this "Arcane" was still alive and really as powerful as Arcon says, then he may need to fortify Berk.
"You're still awake?" A deep and slightly distorted voice asked. Hiccup quickly stood up and turned around to see the Blue Shadow, standing five feet away from him with the same firey dark blue aura shrouding him. "Everyone else is asleep."
"Why are you hiding yourself? I know what you look like," Hiccup aggressively asked. The Shadow slowly shook his head.
"Alas, that was someone different. Though he was using the same spell to hide himself." Hiccup had a look of utter confusion on his face. "Well... I haven't seen that look in a long time. How long ago was it? Twenty five years ago, the day after Snoggletog, you gave HIM that look." Hiccup's confusion turned into anger.
"Twenty five years? Have you been spying on me? How long have you known me for?" Hiccup asked frantically.
"As long as HE has," The Shadow said. Hiccup, realizing that the figure in front of him was talking about Toothless, clenched his fist.
"You're talking about Toothless. What have you done with him?!" Hiccup shouted. The Shadow raised his hand as a sign to tell Hiccup to stop.
"Easy, Chief. He's fine. In fact, I know everything about him. Literally, everything." He turned around and began to walk away.
"Wait!" Hiccup called out, making the Shadow stop, "Who are you?"
"I'm..." he turned his head around, "a close friend." And with that, he teleprted in a blue flash.
Did you enjoy that, people? I hope that cleared a few things up, as well as left a few cliffhangers and also some epic foreshadowing. So this chapter raises more questions than it answers, I'll admit. So...
See you all next time, XenoX out!
