Hey back at it again with another chapter after almost a year!
…
Everything became peaceful once a few months flew by. Time went by so quickly. It's as if the accident happened just yesterday yet years away at the same time. Ash's wounds and injuries were healing unfortunately slow after a few months, Latias' injuries didn't look much better than Ash's. There was nobody around, they must have been out to the market for grocery shopping. It was afternoon time; the sky was bright baby blue with a few patches of fluffy white clouds hanging in the sky. It was a heart warming day where the sun would provide warmth and the gentle breeze helped keep one comfortable in the weather.
Ash opened his eyes. He gazed at the ceiling of the room that he was in for what seemed like a few hours.
"Everything hurts..."
Ash felt horrible in his current state, his mind was foggy and sluggish and his body had aches and sharp pains all over. The smell of the air distracted him from his pain temporarily. The scent felt welcoming. It enveloped his nose in a caressing manner as it gave Ash a sense of home and security. It wasn't food that Ash smelled, but it was more subtle and pleasant, perhaps it could be the flowers in the garden?
The windows were open which allowed a nice breeze to flow in and soothe the injured eon and raven haired boy. The young boy struggled to sit up, but with enough effort, he got up to see something missing in the room.
"Oh yeah, I forgot Pikachu isn't here anymore" the young boy remembered. After Lorenzo and the others came back to the secret garden on that day, they decided to take Pikachu to the pokemon center and have Latias rest in the secret garden to be safe. Ash didn't know why he knew about Pikachu not being with him at the moment. The young boy had a hunch that he might have heard something while he was resting but he couldn't remember exactly.
Ash looked at his bandages and noticed that they were just recently replaced with fresh ointment and gauze. "It still hurts. My whole body feels so sore and torn apart." Ash's head was spinning. Static filled his mind as he gently lay back down in bed. The raven haired boy was cringing in pain and exhaustion, his eyes were tightly shut.
Suddenly, just a few feet away from Ash, there was a tiny rustling noise coming from the bed next to him. The bright red eon mildly tossed and turned in her bed as her eyes slowly opened.
Latias' vision took a few seconds to adjust to the brightness of the room, but once she had her focus, she noticed the young boy cringing in pain just a wing's length away.
The weak eon's bright amber orbs were wide open as she stared in disbelief at the sight.
"Is that... ASH?"
…
Yeah I know that this chapter is way shorter than any other chapter that I've ever written but I think that I'll try and post more chapters that are very short to updates more frequent.
Until next time!
