Chapter 7- Your not alone

Everywhere Anri looked was black.

After a few moments the darkness started to clear, revealing the scene of a town. A chill went up Anri's spine...she was having the nightmare again.

The scene now showed the inside of a small house. In the living room a young couple sat at a table. The man had short brown hair and green eyes. Well his partner had long golden blonde hair and blue eyes.

"Mama! Papa!" a small voice cried out.

A little girl skipped into the room. She looked no older than 6, with long honey colored hair and blue-ish green eyes.

The little girl picked up a bag from the table. "I'm going out to play."

"Going out to see Allen?" the mother asked.

"Yea, and today I'm going to show him that I can walk on the tightrope better than him." the girl puffed out her chest.

"Don't stay out too late Anna." the father told her.

Annabell rolled her eyes. "Yes Papa."

Once again the scene changed, which was now a circus tent with Annabell and a little red-headed boy. Annabell was siting on the ground while a young man was cleaning small cuts from her legs.

"See I told you I was better." the little boy laughed.

"Now Allen be nice, you have had more practice than Annabell." Mana smiled.

"Hey Anna is Rio here?" Allen asked.

Annabell sighed. "No."

"Where does he go?"

"I don't know."

Mana patted Anna's head. "I'm sure Rio is fine. He will tell you when he is ready to talk about it."

The day came to an end as Allen walked with Anna back to her house. When all of a sudden Annabell fell to her knees, clutching her head.

"ANNA! Are you ok?" Allen knelt beside her.

"I-I don't know...it felt like something hit my head."

"You don't look so good, your face is pale." Allen put the back of his hand to Anna's forehead. "You have a fever." Allen picked the girl up in his arms. "Lets get you home."

As the children got closer to the house, something was off. Screams and the smell of fire.

'Please make it stop' Anri pleated.

Allen shifted Anna onto his back and ran into the town.

Everyone was in a panic as people rushed buckets of water to a burning house. Anri's house.

By the time they got to the house the fire was out. Annabell jumped off Allen's back and pushed though the crowd that had gathered. She was about to run into the house when a pair of arms stopped her.

"LET ME GO! LET ME GO! I HAVE TO SAVE THEM!" Anna cried.

"Annabell." a voice said firmly. Anna looked to see that it was Jack, the 14 year old that lived next door that was holding her. "I'm sorry."

Anna broke out of Jack's hold and ran. She kept ran until her legs gave out. Her mother and father were her whole world, and now they were gone.

"Anna." Allen wrapped his arms around her. "The pain won't go away. It only gets worse when you bottle it up. Your now alone Anna, don't try to bear the sadness by yourself. Share it."

"ANRI WAKE UP!"

O.o.O

Anri's eyes shot open to be met by a dozen others. As she sat up a voice echoed in her mind.

'Don't try to bear the sadness by yourself.'

Anri felt her body shaking as tears fell down her face.

"Anri!" she felt a pair of arms wrap around her. It was Road.

'Share it.'

Anri hated when people treated her like a kid, hated when people showed her pity. So for years she pushed the loss of her parents to the back of her head. She locked herself in the town library for days reading the books she had once red with her father. People tried to comfort her by saying that her parents were 'in a better place'. What a load of crap. If the God they believed in was real, then he was a narcissistic jerk.

Anri returned the hug and for the first time in years let herself cry.
