Munkustrap and I walked home quietly.

We came across and entrance to an alley, as a cat sauntered out of it.

The cat had long black and tan fur, and had almost leopard looking spots.

It was a very well kempt and gorgeous looking cat.

Munkustrap stopped his eyes getting big.

"Tugger?" he said looking at the cat.

The cat snapped its head toward us and cocked its head.

Munkustrap knelt down.

"Tugger it's me, Munkustrap."

The cat stared at Munkustrap and slowly came toward him.

Munkustrap offered a hand out and the cat rubbed against his hand.

"Hey there, buddy." Munkustrap smiled at the cat's acceptance.

The cat stared at Munkustrap with an almost questioning look.

"Tugger you have to tell Old Deuteronomy that Macavity changed me…into this. I don't know when I'll return. But I am safe and well, so do not fret." He said to the cat.

The cat nodded and gave a final nuzzle to Munkustrap and then left in the way he came from.

I stared at Munkustrap not to sure what to say.

He realized my shock.

"That was…my brother. A different one though, not the one who did this to me."

"His names Tugger?"

"Actually the Rum Tum Tugger, but that's just a mouthful."

"Is he like you?"

Munkustrap laughed.

"No, we are very different. He's smart when he wants to be, but most of the time he is lazy and flirts horribly with all of the queens. He's quite promiscuous."

The Junkyard

The Rum Tum Tugger ran as fast as he could to the Junkyard.

He ran in and almost trampled over Pouncival, the youngest kitten in the Tribe.

Tugger was also Pouncival's idol. The kit practically followed him everywhere.

"Tugger, what's up?" Pouncival asked happily as Tugger dodged the tiny kitten.

"Hey sorry kid, I have to find Old D! I found Munk!" he said to the young tom then, breathlessly ran off to the Jellicle Leader's den.

"Rum Tum Tugger, what is the matter?" Old Deuteronomy said to his youngest son.

"I found," he took a large breath "Munkustrap."

"Well, where is he?" Old Deuteronomy said getting up and walking over to him.

"He's in the city, I don't know exactly where, but I saw him…he's different."

"What ever do you mean, my son?"

Tugger took a breath.

"Father, Macavity turned Munkustrap into…a human."

Old Deuteronomy looked at him with disbelief.

"He was walking with a human queen. He said he was fine and safe, and that we shouldn't worry."

"Rum Tum Tugger, go find Quaxo and tell him that we need the help of Mistoffelees."

Tugger nodded and ran off to find the small tuxedo kitten.

The Next Day/Genevieve's POV

I woke up in the morning and took a shower and got dressed.

Munkustrap was still curled up in my bed lightly snoring.

Gently, I shook him awake.

"What?" he groaned, digging his head farther into his pillow.

"I have to go to work. I'll be back in the afternoon, okay?"

"No." he groaned again pulling me into his arms.

He stared down at me with a pleading face.

"I have to go Munkustrap; the electricity bill isn't going to pay itself."

He sighed and let me go.

I smiled and kissed his cheek.

"See you later, Munk."

"Bye, Genevieve."

"By the way, STAY INSIDE. I don't feel like searching the whole city for you tonight."

Munkustrap gave me a sleepy smile.

"I promise I won't."

I petted his head.

"Good kitty."

He rolled his eyes as I laughed, leaving my flat.
