Am I the only one disappointed with Scandal, I thought it was getting better when he and Olivia were finally in the White House together but it only seems to be getting worse. I can't believe how horrible the show has turned out, but then again you know what they say about over Achievers. Shonda Rhimes needs to decide what she wants to do instead of creating more and more shows, and turning her old, GOLDEN shows into trash.
First Grey's Anatomy and now Scandal. I am not someone who agrees with abortion, and I felt sick to my stomach that they would portray Liv as someone who would have an abortion just because things didn't work in her favor.
I am here by done, with Scandal.
"Since when did we start screwing our clients?" Olivia heard from behind her, as she leaned against the balcony railing with her eyes closed. She had slipped away when Nana Wright and Granny Pope started arguing, apparently Nana Wright's Fried Chicken was too salty and dry for Granny Pope's liking. She had the inkling to start shoving wads of food into the lather's mouth, so she'd shut her pie hoe for once.
"What?" Her eyes snapped open, as she spun around to see her twin standing by the newly closed doors. She must have truly been lost in her thoughts not to hear the doors close, or Harrison approach her.
"Wasn't it you, who made the rule about not fraternizing with our clients?" Harrison's expression was serious and was looking at his sister sternly, he monitored the emotions running rampant through her eyes. She could hide her facial expressions, but Olivia could never hide the emotions her deep chocolate brown eyes gave off. "Tsk, tsk, tsk..."
"Harr-"
"What's so special about him, Liv?" He truly wants to know, he's never really seen her sister date. Not since they were teenagers and she shut herself off and dove straight into her professional image and school work. "I've seen you, the past couple of weeks. You've been glowing brighter than you have when you first found out your IVF treatments worked and you were pregnant."
"He's..." She shuts her mouth, swallowing. She'd never really been one to voice her emotions, Fitz was truly the only person she could truly admit to loving; albeit in a different way. It was confusing at the least, her parents weren't big on PDA never mind saying a quick 'I love you'. They just weren't those kind of people. Lydia was way older than she and Harrison and was too stuck on herself, to care for anyone else.
Harrison though, she didn't have to tell him anything. He was perceptive. He could read her like an open book, no matter how much she tried to hide how she was feeling, what she was thinking.
"I love him, Harry." She whimpers, her eyes starting to water. Harrison quickly pulled her into his arms, he knew his sister needed a hug more than anything. "He cares about me, he doesn't just want to use me for that..."
"He makes me smile, laugh, hell he even irritates me at times but it's in a good way." She sniffles. "He makes me happy. You know I'd never let my guard down for anyone but with Fitz. I don't even think they were really up, from the moment I first met him... I knew he was special... Maybe that's why I wasn't as dead set on staying away from him."
"I don't think I can..." She whispers. She shakes her head. "And that's what scares me to death. I've so many years trying to keep myself from falling for someone... Trying to be reclusive and stay to myself and he just waltz in and I'm not me anymore..."
"I'm not Olivia, anymore."
Harrison just lets her rant, rubbing her back gently. He loves his sister, that's plainly obvious to anyone with a set of eyes. Seeing her this vulnerable, he was right in his thoughts that Fitz was most likely 'it' for his sister.
"You never were." He states, simply.
Olivia looks up at him, confused.
"Liv all your life, you were just you... Liv, the care-free, young-spirited, fierce strong tower. When he hurt you, you changed. You became Olivia, the débutante, actress mom and dad shaped you to be. You weren't yourself anymore..." He looks her in the eyes. "When you first told me about the IVF and the baby, I wasn't sure about any of it."
He clears his throat.
"Then I saw your face and I knew, you were finally getting something you wanted." He nods, slightly. "Ever since Fitz became our client, I started to see a little of Liv, the real Liv again. At first I was put off, because I didn't trust it but after thinking about it for a while; I realized just how much he cared about you. He wasn't just with you, for the sake of being with a black girl, or being with a curvaceous beauty that most men in the world would just about die for."
Olivia realized that Harrison was all for her relationship with Fitz, there was no explanation needed. He had only needed to analyze her behavior along with how she interacted with Fitz. She was ecstatic Harrison was in acceptance but what frightened her was the fact that anyone who knew them and really took the time to watch them could also find out.
Who else other than her security, Cyrus, Huck and Harrison knew?
"Mellie." Fitz says, as she enters the room.
"Fitz." She sits across from him, on the sofa and stares at him with a scrutinizing look. "You've been acting off, recently."
"The same could be said for you." He looks at her. "Did you need something?"
Mellie shifts, slightly. "As, a matter of fact." She clears her throat. "I do need something."
"You know when I said that I was being polite. I could give a flying heap of horse shit what you want, now again I say did you need something?"
She was used to his brush, that wasn't surprising. It was his attitude, he could look at her with contempt and even malice but his attitude towards her was reserved and cold but now... He was speaking as though she was something he'd stepped on with his Italian leather shoes.
"Fitz... I... need your help." She looks at him through wide-almost child like eyes. "Please..."
That was something he'd never heard her say, without it sounding sarcastic but now hearing it and seeing the look in her eye. He realized more than anything something was going on, and Mellie was right smack dab in the middle of it.
"Charlie look!" Hannah yells, as she's watching the monitors. Sam was out doing a perimeter check as usual and Charlie was hacking through the Grant's network system. He was monitoring the calls, texts and emails coming and going throughout the property and small area around it.
He walks over to her side of the room, and watches as she presses the freeze frame on the screen and zooms in.
"You know you don't have to yell right? I'm right behind you." He quips, as she rolls her eyes and points to a figure on the screen. "Katherine Grant...?" He notices whose in the room with her, and what room it is and he tilts his head.
She gives him a look. "Oh... OH!"
She mutters under her breath. "What recent widow, is so calm and collected that she doesn't even shed a tear after her husbands passing? Hell... That Millie bitch, is wracking up sobs while Mrs. Grant is just sitting across from her as reserved as ever."
"Why the hell are they in Big Jerry's office? I thought it was on lock down? Hell, I heard only he had a key and no one, family alike wasn't even allowed."
"I can't hear audio, it's coming in and out but there's definitely something off."
"Why is she even crying?"
"No." Hannah says. She looks at the screen again. "The question is, why does she care?"
"I need to see you right now, can you bring your team? Cyrus is already on his way." Fitz voice comes over the phone.
"Are you alright?" Olivia asks, worriedly.
"I'm fine, but your team needs to get over here as soon as you can." He states, worriedly.
"Fitz, what's going on?" Olivia questions. She knows deep down something is wrong, he sounds panicked. "I know something is wrong."
"Livvie, send your GODDAMN team now." He orders, he's pacing a whole into the bedroom he and Mellie are 'supposedly' occupying. Mellie's on the bed, her hands wringing in her lap. She swallows, at the sight of Fitz. He's never been this angry, not even when Gerry died. He was depressed, but no... this... This wasn't just anger... He was pissed.
"A...Alright, we'll be-"
"No, Livvie. You can't come, you and Harrison should stay far away from this." He begs, his voice caught almost on desperation. "Hand the phone over to Harrison."
"Fit-"
"I love you, Livvie." He says, and a few seconds later Harrison's voice washes over the phone. "Harrison, I'm sending a buddy of mine from my Navy days to your parents home. Don't argue, and don't hesitate."
Harrison listens as he gives him a name and a description, than he nods and hangs up. He smashes Olivia and his's phone and tells her they need to go, she's sick with worry but she knows better than to argue. Fitz sounded different, she'd never heard him... The way he said he'd loved her... She swallowed as they took their secret exit out of their parent's compound.
"Who did he say, we were supposed to meet?" Olivia asks, as they're walking through the woods. She's slightly irritated, that Harrison's kept tight-lipped about what he and Fitz spoke of on the phone. While they were talking she tried to get more from the conversation, but Harrison always answered in affirmative, with one simple word. 'Yes', or 'Understood'.
"Olivia, before he gets here I should probably warn you. This is for your own safety. If we didn't need him, I wouldn't have even brought us out here." He starts, she narrows her eyes at him as he looks towards her with guilty eyes.
"Harrison." She says eerily calmly.
"It's the only way, Olivia." He says.
"Hello Olivia." She cringed at the voice. She scowled. She knew that voice.
"HARRISON!" She boomed. "Please tell me you didn't."
"No, he didn't." The voice says. He looks Olivia over, it's been a while since he last saw her. She's grown. "Your new Beau did."
Sorry everyone for the Hiatus, but after approx. Six months of hoping
my cousin would wake up. She died June, two days shy of my birthday.
It was a horrible experience, and it's taken a lot to be able to even
talk about my feelings on the situation let alone write. But I
made myself a promise that I wouldn't lose myself.
That I would try and stay a float and be who I truly am.
~Love Lia~
