Ron kept Devan too busy with shopping and meeting up with friends to discuss what had happened earlier in the morning. It wasn't until they were trudging back to the Castle, both their arms filled with several packages that Devan was even able to think about it, let alone talk to Ron about it.

"So, about earlier…" Devan started.

"Yes? What about earlier?" Ron smirked and Devan blushed.

"Well that was…fun." Devan finally decided on. "Definitely kind of came from no where."

Ron smiled again. "It was my intention for it to be a surprise."

"Well it was definitely a surprise."

Ron laughed and Devan felt a surge of warmth go through her. She loved Ron's laugh, and was becoming even more anxious to see what the rest of the night had in store for her.

They reached the castle, and made their way into the common room where the party was going to be held. Due to fights over who gets to host the party on Halloween, each house just hosted their own and no one was allowed to use the Room of Requirement that night. Although Devan had heard a rumour that the teachers used it to have their own fun.

Ron kissed Devan goodbye at the bottom of the stairway leading to the girl's dormitories. Devan immediately picked out the package that held the little black dress and walked into one of the bathrooms to put it on and freshen her make-up.

Devan put the dress on first and sighed happily when she saw herself in the mirror. The dress really did look good on her, and now she had a wonderful memory to associate with the garment.

Devan took a moment to appreciate how lucky her life had been in the past couple months. She had come here expecting to be lonely, at least until Jessie got here. But here she was, with an out of this world boyfriend that she was head over heels for and a small group of friends that she could share thoughts and feelings with. She still missed her Canadian friends, but she found herself thinking about them less and less as the days went on. Devan made a mental note to send them mail sometime soon and then decided to get started on her hair.

She decided to wear it down but rather than flat-ironing it she decided to curl it. She reapplied the ears after she was done and touched up her face paint. Devan looked even cuter than this morning and was really excited to go and see Ron. It was still quite early for the party, but she decided to make her way downstairs anyways. Other than a few 1st and 2nd years who were practicing magic while doing the decorating for tonight, the common room was deserted.

Devan sat down on one of the couches in front of the fire and picked up a book that was sitting on the end table beside it. Before she had time to register what the title of the book was however, she heard a commotion coming from the portrait hole. Devan could see that it was open, and two sets of flaming red hair, and one set of sunset orange hair made their way through the hole. Before Ron had seen Devan she already had her arms wrapped tight around Jessie.

"Holy shit you're here! Why the fuck are you here? Who cares?! You're here!" Devan babbled on and on as Jessie returned Devan's insanely constricting hug.

"Missed you chicky. Now let me go. I have some introductions to make." She let go of Devan and stood next to the red haired and extremely tall boy that Devan could only guess that was Ron's older brother Charlie.

"Devan, this is Charlie. Charlie this is Devan." Jessie announced.

"Hullo," Charlie said, holding his hand out for Devan to shake.

She took it, and marveled at how firm his grip was. Ron made his way over to Devan and put his arm around her waist. Devan blushed, and out of the corner of her eye she saw Jessie's smirk. A few more people had made their way downstairs now, and Ron led Devan over to the makeshift bar in the corner of the room. She stood next to a tall cocktail table close to the bar where Jessie and Charlie eventually joined her.

Ron had made his play to his place behind the bar, and Devan, Jessie, and Charlie watched as he mixed them three bright red drinks. Devan giggled when she realized that they were the same shade as Ron and Charlie's hair.

"Thanks hon," Devan mumbled into Ron's ear as he passed her the drinks. She brought them back to the table and gave one to everybody.

"Thanks Devan! It's so good to see you!" Jessie purred, sipping her drink. Devan noticed that Charlie was kind of quiet.

"Good to see you too Jessie. I wish you were here full time though!" Devan teased.

"I wish you were with me in Romania. The dragons are just…beautiful." Jessie's eyes lit up and Devan could see Charlie smirking at her.

"There is this one in particular. I've actually been kind of raising her. She's a green Norwegian Ridgeback named Zelda. I love her." Jessie and Charlie laughed, presumably at some sort of inside joke.

Jessie started telling Devan all about Romania and her time with the dragons, but Devan soon found herself zoning out on Ron who was surrounded by a large throng of people who were all waiting for drinks. Devan loved to watch how sure he was with his hands. It was mesmerizing. Devan found her thoughts drifting to that morning when Jessie snapped her back to the present.

"Earth to Devan. I know you find your boyfriend gorgeous but I was talking to you," Jessie teased with a small smirk on her face. Charlie was grinning too, even though he maybe looked slightly embarrassed.

"Sorry Jessie. Things have just been so wonderful lately. I find myself daydreaming more and more often." Devan grinned goofily and downed her drink. Jessie and Charlie were already done.

Devan found herself more engrossed in the conversation after that, and it wasn't too long after that Ron had reappeared by her side, all finished with his time behind the bar. He was carrying a tray with four more drinks, and passed one out to everyone before dropping the tray on a different table and wrapping his arm around Devan's waist.

Back in Canada, Devan and Jessie had often joked about having boyfriends at the same time but it had never actually happened. Devan marveled at that fact while watching Charlie and Ron lay insults in to each other just like brothers are good for doing. It was even more amazing that they were brothers. Devan caught Jessie's eye and grinned. She could tell that Jessie was thinking the same thing.

Harry soon appeared, carrying a tray full of shots. He was the most drunk that Devan had ever seen him, but pounded back two with everyone at the table and continued on his way. Devan couldn't help but notice that Harry looked almost morose, despite his tipsy and goofy manner. She vowed to ask him how everything was going next time she saw him sober and soon found herself engrossed in conversation with Ron, Charlie, and Jessie.

Several hours and a few drinks later, it was time for Charlie and Jessie to leave. Ron and Devan, both rather inebriated, decided to walk them down to the gates where they would be able to safely apparate back to home.

"I'm gonna be back soon," Jessie promised, her words slurring as she made her way through the small opening they had made in the gate.

"I know. It's almost time to come back to REAL school," Devan teased.

Jessie gave Charlie a fleeting glance. He was in a conversation with Ron that neither of the girls could hear. "Yeah. It's gonna suck to be away from him."

"It'll be summer before we know it." Devan smiled, giving Jessie a great big bear hug.

Devan said her goodbyes to Charlie, and watched as him and Jessie took hands and disappeared before her and Ron's eyes.

Ron smiled, and broke the silence by asking, "Good surprise?"

"The best," Devan giggled. "Thank you so much Ron."

"Anything for you dear," Ron breathed. He grabbed her hand and placed a swift kiss on her forehead before leading her back up the path to the castle.

Shortly before they reached the portrait hole that would lead them back into the common room and the slowly dying down party Devan felt Ron tug on her hand. He silently led her into a small broom closet and shut the door behind them, leaving them in darkness.

"Ron? What are you doing? I can't see anything," Devan giggled.

She heard Ron sigh, and soon his arms were wrapped tightly around her. His face in the crook of her neck, and his breath warm on skin. "I've wanted to be alone with you since this morning." He started planting little kisses on her neck and Devan felt him smile when she sighed audibly.

"It was pretty amazing," Devan breathed.

"Well beautiful, allow me to recreate the feeling," Ron whispered in her ear.

Ron's lips brushed Devan's earlobe and found Devan's lips. She soon found herself wrapping her arms around Ron's, pushing herself into him. Suddenly the tiny broom closet was too big as the passion rose and Devan wanted nothing but to just be close to Ron. She removed his shirt, and he removed her dress, just as carefully as he had done in the boutique.

Devan breathed in the fresh smell of Ron's hair as he slowly started planting kisses down the middle of her chest. He paused briefly at her breasts to free them from the lacy black bra that Devan had imprisoned them in. She giggled and sighed as he tugged on them lightly, teasing her nipples with his fingers.

He soon continued his descent down Devan's body. Devan found herself lost in the moment and tilted her head back as Ron slowly slid her matching black panties down her legs. He only had time to plant one small kiss on the sensitive skin of her inner thighs before the closet door burst open, and the suddenly again incredibly tiny room was flooded with light.

"Oh my," the caretaker named Filch sneered, "We are in trouble."

And that's where I leave it. It's not really where I wanted to go with that chapter but I think I am getting back on the right track for my main plot line now. Sorry it's a short one! ;)
