Kankuro P.O.V.
Kankuro walked through the door and took in the sight of Tenten in her black sweater and jeans looking radiant but with a spot of flour still near the end of her pantleg. He smiled at that, poor women was never free of the evidence that she worked in the baking industry. She smiled at him. He saw a couple glasses and a plate in the table and he looked at her curiously. She followed his line of sight and laughed.
"An old friend of mine stopped by, you may know her she'd married to the Hokage?" He nodded and smiled,
"Hinata, sweet girl, isn't she expecting?" At Tenten's look of surpraise he chuckled and said, "Gaara."
She nodded in understanding and grabbed the glasses and plate from the table and rinsed them off in the sink before grabbing her coat off a rack next to the door, "So are you ready to go?" she asked as she slipped it on over her sweater.
They walked out of the bakery and walked towards Kankuro's black truck all the while Kankuro enjoyed his veiw of her backside as she climbed up into his passenger side seat. As he climbed into the driver's side he began the drive to an all-night cafe that he'd visited on many occasion and whose chocolate desserts were to die for. As they began to approuch the place Tenten's eyes lit up, it seemed she reconized the place. As they pulled to a stop she hopped out before they even pulled to a complete stop. She rushed up to the door and waited impatiently for him to get out and lock up the vehicle. As he approached talking his time her impatience grew. When he finally joined her onthe steps she grabbed his arm and pulled him into the warmth of the little coffeeshop exclaiming, "Gosh I love this place it's one of my favorites, Have you ever been here their chocolate delicasies are better even than mine." The fact that she admitted it was surprising.
He let her lead him to the counter where they proceeded to purchase a latte for her and strong black coffee for him along with a multitude of chocolate loaf peices. They carried their bounty to a table near a firplace and after they set down their purchases they removed their coats and sat down to enjoy their light night snack. As Tenten bit into a peice of the cake she closed her eyes in blss and licked her lips which caused Kankuro a slight discomfort for the rest of the night. When Tenten got through her pleasure she opened her eyes and looked at him, raising a brow since he had an untouched peice in his hand. She swallowed and said, "You've been here before right?" Kankuro smiled and nodded taking a bite and enjoying the smoothness as it went down the back of his throat. Tenten rolled her eyes and they struck up conversation about the wedding since the two were both influential parts in it her being maid of honor and him best man. When they were about to approuch the topic of high school Tenten's phone gave a shrill ring and when she picked up it was Sakura who was panicing.
"Tenten, I got some bad news... Is kankuro there?" Tenten told her he was and she continued.
"You know how I was supposed to be mission free until after the honeymoon? Well, they have to pull me in and Gaara refuses to let me do it alone so he's coming along... and well it's supposed to last until only a week before the wedding. And you see..." Tenten finished the sentence for her.
"You need my help getting your wedding planned don't you."
Sounding pitiful and with a bit of spitfire in her voice Sakura answered, "Yes, and Kankuro too. He'll need to fill in for Gaara when it comes to things the groom would need to place a hand in. Will you ask him for me?"
Tenten turned the phone away from her mouth and explained the situation to Kankuro who with a sigh agreed to be most likely the best brother in the world and said he'sdo it which Tenten relayed to Sakura who then proceeded to thank her endlessly and promised to talk with her the next day about things that still needed to be done and so on. After Tenten hung up the phine she looked at Kankuro and said to his dismay,
"I guess we're wedding planners now, eh Kanky." Whom then buriedhis face in his arms on the table and groaned thinking about all the stress that had now been placed on his shoulders and the when his mind drifted to a happier note, the fact that'd he'd be spending plenty of time with the brown eyed brunette, he raised his head and shaking the hand that Tenten had proffered said,
"I guess we are.
